The whole request

Build the public website for SwarmPeg (SWARMPEG).

Deployed contracts (Ethereum mainnet):

Required pages / sections:

  1. Home / Hero

    • Live animated on-chain glyph (call hook.glyphSVG or hook.glyphURI)
    • Token name, symbol, short description
    • Current swarm pulse (hook.currentPulse())
  2. My Glyphs (connected wallet)

    • Show the user’s integer balance (floor(balanceOf / 1e18))
    • Render each owned glyph by ID
    • Update live when balance changes
  3. Swap

    • Buy/sell SWARMPEG against IMD via the Uniswap v4 pool
    • Slippage controls, clear amounts, transaction status
  4. Gallery / Explorer

    • Browse recent or notable glyphs
    • Optional simple activity feed from events
  5. Pulse Visualizer

    • Display currentPulse() (0–1000)
    • Show how higher pulse affects density, brightness, and animation speed
  6. How it works

    • Explain the integer-balance model: fractional tokens trade normally, whole units own unique animated on-chain objects
    • Mention the 2% IMD fee that goes to the ownerless maintenance pot

Design & technical requirements:

  • Clean, modern, responsive (mobile + desktop)
  • All art read directly from the contracts (no IPFS)
  • Single non-conflicting wallet connection (wagmi/viem or equivalent + WalletConnect + injected providers). No competing modals or stuck “connecting…” states
  • Works on Ethereum mainnet with the addresses above
  • Lightweight and fast
  • Include links to the contracts, Uniswap pool, and GitHub repo

Use the real deployed contracts. The hook provides glyphSVG, glyphURI, currentPulse, glyphTraits, and maintenancePot views.

    Requirements, one line each

    • "Live animated on-chain glyph (call hook.glyphSVG or glyphURI)": met, Hero.tsx renders Glyph from useGlyphSvg, which calls glyphSVG on the hook. Read live: the newest issuance's glyph returns a 10 KB SVG from the public RPC.
    • "Token name, symbol, short description": met, hero h1 and lede name SwarmPeg (SWARMPEG).
    • "Current swarm pulse (hook.currentPulse())": met, pulse chip in the hero, refetched every 30 s. Live value today is 59.
    • "Show the user's integer balance (floor(balanceOf / 1e18))": met, useMyGlyphs divides by 10^18 and shows "Whole units".
    • "Render each owned glyph by ID": met with a cap of 24 and an honest note. Low finding.
    • "Update live when balance changes": met, balance and glyphAt reads are keyed to the watched block number.
    • "Buy/sell SWARMPEG against IMD via the Uniswap v4 pool": met, Universal Router V4_SWAP with the pool key from the deployment, quoted through the V4 Quoter. Sending needs a wallet, so not exercised.
    • "Slippage controls, clear amounts, transaction status": met, presets plus custom, minimum received, pool price, approve, permit, swap and error states with Etherscan links.
    • "Browse recent or notable glyphs": met, newest issuances filtered by glyphOwner liveness.
    • "Optional simple activity feed from events": met, TradeRecorded, FeeAccrued and GlyphBatchCreated from the deploy block, with a 5000-block fallback.
    • "Display currentPulse() (0–1000)": met, meter and text in the Pulse section.
    • "Show how higher pulse affects density, brightness, and animation speed": met, slider with the contract's own traits formula, and the live glyphTraits line. Formula matches SwarmGlyphSVG.traits.
    • "Explain the integer-balance model": met, How it works first column.
    • "Mention the 2% IMD fee that goes to the ownerless maintenance pot": met, second column plus live pot reserve and fees accrued.
    • "Clean, modern, responsive": met, no horizontal scroll or overlap at 320, 390, 1440.
    • "All art read directly from the contracts (no IPFS)": met, every image is a data URI built from glyphSVG.
    • "Single non-conflicting wallet connection, injected providers": met, one wagmi config, EIP-6963 discovery, one sheet, no stuck pending state.
    • "WalletConnect": needs the requester. The brief gives no project ID and the network's connector policy forbids a relay, so the row is wired only when an ID exists.
    • "Works on Ethereum mainnet with the addresses above": met, addresses in the bundle match deployment.json and network.json.
    • "Lightweight and fast": met, two system fonts, no image assets beyond og.png.
    • "Links to the contracts, Uniswap pool, and GitHub repo": met, Contracts list and footer.
    • Hosting and the public URL: after review.

The idea: a token whose whole units are living creatures, carried by one device, the animated on-chain glyph shown large on the first screen next to the swap that mints it.

    Findings written

    1. Medium bug. web/src/Glyph.tsx:17 treats an undefined id as loading, so when the hero lookup ends empty the box says "Reading glyph…" forever beside a caption that says "No live glyph found". Reproduced offline at 390.
    2. Medium taste. The lede is two sentences over five lines at 390. Replacement sentence supplied that keeps name, symbol

    • mediumbug: the hero glyph box says "Reading glyph…" after the lookup has finished with nothing to showweb/src/Glyph.tsx:17

Now: Glyph treats an undefined id as a loading state, so when the recent-glyph lookup ends without an id (RPC error, or no live glyph) the 355px square keeps reading "Reading glyph…" while the caption under it says "No live glyph found" and the pulse chip says "unavailable"; two states contradict each other on the first screen and the box never resolves.

Change to: {isError ? "Glyph could not be read from the hook." : isLoading ? "Reading glyph…" : ""} so an undefined id renders an empty surface and the caption Hero already passes ("Finding a live glyph…" / "No live glyph found") is the only status line. No layout change: the figure keeps its aspect-ratio box.

Why: each state says only what the app knows (design-critic: walk every state; loading, empty and failure each say only what the app knows).

      Width 390x844.

Open dist/index.html with the RPC hosts unreachable (or wait for both RPCs to fail).

After the two retries (about 10 s) the accessibility tree of #home reads: figure "No live glyph found" containing status "Reading glyph…", then term "Swarm pulse" definition "unavailable".

Expected: the box is blank or says the glyph could not be read; actual: it says it is still reading, indefinitely.

    • mediumtaste: the hero lede is two sentences and runs five lines at 390web/src/Hero.tsx:13

Now: the line under the headline is two sentences ("SwarmPeg (SWARMPEG) is a fixed-supply Ethereum token. Each whole unit you hold owns a unique animated glyph drawn entirely on chain."), 21 words over five 20px lines at 390, so the glyph lands at y=397 and the pulse chip at y=796 of an 844px first screen.

Change to: one plain sentence: "SwarmPeg (SWARMPEG) is a fixed-supply Ethereum token whose whole units each own a unique animated glyph drawn entirely on chain." It keeps the name, symbol and description the brief asks for in the hero and drops one line, so the glyph and the pulse chip move up about 30px.

Why: the hero is a pair, a headline of at most six words and one plain sentence saying what this is (design-critic, The copy).

      Width 390.

      Load dist/index.html.

The paragraph box is [16,223,358,150]: five lines.

The glyph figure starts at y=397 and the pulse chip at y=796-839, the last 48px of the first screen.

The probe passes copy-budget (21 prose words) so this is copy shape, not volume.

    • lowtaste: at 1440 the hero leaves a 260px hole between the glyph and the swap cardweb/src/styles.css:399

Now: the first hero column is 1fr (about 640px at 1440) but .hero-art .glyph is capped at width: min(100%, 420px) and justify-items: start, so the glyph sits at x=160-580, the swap card at x=840-1280, and the 260px between them is empty while the headline above spans the full width.

Change to: grid-template-columns: minmax(0, 520px) minmax(320px, 440px); plus justify-content: space-between; on .hero-grid, and drop the 420px cap in .hero-art .glyph (width: 100%) so the glyph fills its column and the two surfaces frame the hero edge to edge.

Why: the first screen on desktop should read as one composition; dead space between the two primary surfaces reads as a layout gap, not a margin.

      Width 1440.

      Load dist/index.html.

In test/scratch/taste/shots/1440.png the glyph box spans x=160 to 580 and the swap card x=840 to 1280; the band x=580 to 840 is background for the whole 420px height of the glyph.

    • lowbug: the maintenance pot row keeps "read from hook.maintenancePot()…" after the read has failedweb/src/HowItWorks.tsx:63

Now: the Contracts list shows the pot address only when useHookStats resolves; when the multicall errors the row stays on the loading text with an ellipsis forever, so a visitor is told the address is being read when it is not.

Change to: {stats.isError ? "could not be read from the hook" : "read from hook.maintenancePot()…"} using the isError that useHookStats already returns.

Why: each state says only what the app knows; the brief lists the maintenancePot view as something the site reads, so its failure state should be honest like the Gallery and Pulse ones are.

      Width 390.

Open dist/index.html with the RPC hosts unreachable and wait 10 s. #how > ul.links item 3 reads "Maintenance pot" / "read from hook.maintenancePot()…" while #gallery already shows "Glyph list could not be read from the token." and #pulse shows "Pulse unavailable".

Expected: an error line like its neighbours.

    • lowfidelity: My glyphs renders at most 24 of a holder’s glyphs with no way to see the restweb/src/chain.ts:158

Now: useMyGlyphs reads glyphAt for the first 24 whole units only and MyGlyphs prints "Showing the first 24 of N glyphs."; a wallet with 25 or more whole SWARMPEG never sees glyphs 25 onward anywhere on the site.

Change to: keep the batch of 24 but let the note be a control: "Show 24 more" (className link-btn, the site’s existing token) that raises the max passed to useMyGlyphs by 24 per press until wholeUnits is reached. The note stays honest while loading.

Why: brief, My Glyphs: "Render each owned glyph by ID". The cap is sensible for the first paint but the brief asks for each glyph.

Any width, wallet connected on mainnet holding 25 or more whole SWARMPEG (balanceOf / 1e18 >= 25).

The grid shows 24 figures and the line "Showing the first 24 of 25 glyphs."; there is no control that reveals the 25th.

      Expected: every owned glyph reachable.
