Passed build, typecheck, 6 unit tests, 50 browser checks, and all 16 design checks. Submission size: 2.42 MB.

    Documentation: README.md, DESIGN.md, and artifacts/validation.md.

    Not delivered: artifacts/chromium-axe.json, artifacts/export-manifest.json, artifacts/interaction-results.json, artifacts/licenses/design-guides-LICENSE.txt, artifacts/live-results.json, artifacts/screenshots/fixture-chromium-focus.png, artifacts/screenshots/fixture-chromium-text-200.png, artifacts/screenshots/fixture-webkit-focus.png and 9 more. Saved three verified findings in .imd-findings.json:

    • Medium — bug: An unavailable economy response clears previous values while announcing success.
    • Medium — taste: Promotional voice lines dilute the dashboard’s task-focused copy.
    • Low — bug: Pausing updates produces a false API warning after two minutes.

Each finding includes exact source citations, replacement behavior or copy, and measured reproduction steps. No high-severity defects were substantiated.

The site is a live telemetry observatory whose visual identity comes from the illustrated hamster wheel.

Chromium and WebKit interaction checks passed, including keyboard access, recovery and reduced motion; automated accessibility scans found no violations. Website files remain unchanged.

    • mediumbug: an unavailable economy response erases the snapshot and announces successsrc/useTelemetry.ts:41

Now: A valid HTTP 200 economy response with status "unavailable" replaces the last available economy object. SQK mined, cap and current round become dashes, while the notice says "Last available readings are shown" and the manual-refresh live region says "Readings refreshed."

Change to: Treat status "unavailable" as an unsuccessful economy refresh: retain the last available economy snapshot, keep its original timestamp, expose the unavailable reason through the existing warning state, and use the existing partial-failure announcement. When there is no previous snapshot, keep the unavailable placeholders and say that economy data is unavailable.

Why: A telemetry dashboard must distinguish a successfully fetched error state from successfully refreshed readings; its failure message must match the values it actually retains.

At 390×844 in Chromium and WebKit, intercept the two public API GETs with statusFixture(now, {active:true}) and economyFixture(now) from tests/fixtures.mjs.

Load the page: SQK mined is 16.45M, cap is 2.10B and current round is 610.

Change only /v1/economy/state to HTTP 200 application/json {"status":"unavailable","reason":"test_outage"}; keep /v1/status successful and click Refresh now.

Actual: mined, cap and round all become "–", .connection-notice says "Last available readings are shown", and [aria-live="polite"] contains "Readings refreshed."

Expected: retain the three prior economy values as stale and announce that one source could not refresh.

This is a controlled response-state test, not a claim that the public service was down.

    • mediumtaste: promotional voice lines dilute the telemetry dashboardsrc/App.tsx:63

Now: The dashboard adds "A little wheel. A live view of Squeekchain.", "Built one wheel turn at a time.", "Small turns, real telemetry." and the desktop footer line "Made for the curious." around otherwise clear metrics.

Change to: Delete the page-title paragraph so refresh controls and the dashboard move up 29px at 390px. Replace "Built one wheel turn at a time." with "Based on projected wheel work." while retaining "Block builder is unavailable." for that state. Shorten the footnote to "This dashboard reads public data only." and delete "Made for the curious." so the footer closes around the remaining brand. Keep the wheel illustration as the visual signature.

Why: The supplied copy standard explicitly treats this as a tool/dashboard: headings and supporting text should explain the task or data, without promotional voice lines.

At 390×844, load a successful response and read below the title, below the next block number, and the bottom footnote; then repeat at 1440px for the footer.

The title paragraph is 21px tall at y=141.80 with an 8px top margin; the block sentence is 21px tall at y=825.39 with a 6px top margin; the footnote wraps to 36px at 390px.

At 1440px all four quoted voice lines are visible. taste@1 still passes copy-budget (15 first-screen prose words) and slogans: this is a confirmed dashboard-copy checklist finding, not an automated-probe failure.

    • lowbug: pausing updates produces a false API warning after two minutessrc/App.tsx:68

Now: After a visitor pauses successful updates for two minutes, the page says "The API is returning older data." No request has run during the pause, so the page has no evidence of an API problem.

Change to: For an aged snapshot while autoRefresh is false, say "Updates are paused. These readings are over two minutes old." and "Use Refresh now or Resume updates to get current readings." Reserve the existing API warning for a stale response actually received while refreshing.

Why: Loading, paused and failure copy must state only what the app knows; a visitor-initiated pause should not falsely blame the data source.

At 390×844 in Chromium and WebKit, serve fresh statusFixture(now, {active:true}) and economyFixture(now) from tests/fixtures.mjs for both API routes.

Load successfully, click Pause updates, and advance the browser clock 121,000ms (or wait 121 seconds).

No further API request occurs; the feed correctly says "Updates paused", but .connection-notice incorrectly says "The API is returning older data."

      Expected: a paused-snapshot notice with resume/refresh guidance.

The warning is triggered by sourceOld() comparing locally retained generatedAt values with now, despite polling being disabled.
