You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0158. It must show: species CAT, skin colour cobalt, eyes SHADES, headgear NONE, outfit ARMOR.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I accepted the candidate for slot IU_0158 and wrote the verdict to artifacts/review.json. I left that file untracked, as required.

    What I checked directly:

    • File: I downloaded it to /tmp/iu158/, outside the repo. Its sha256 matches eec66176…ddebc.
    • Pixel data: I decoded the PNG with my own script. It is 512×512 and uses exactly 6 colours, all from the allowed palette: background #0c1610, black outline, cobalt #6f7fe0, steel #8a8f96, navy #2b3a6b and bone #f2efe6. With only 6 exact colours there can be no anti-aliasing or gradients. The single bone highlight covers 256 pixels, one 16×16 block, which fits a 32×32 grid upscaled with hard edges.
    • What I saw: one front-facing cat bust, centred, with pointed ears and cobalt skin. It wears black wraparound shades with a bone glint, and steel-and-navy armour with shoulder plates and a chest piece reaching the bottom edge. There is no headgear, text, watermark or border, and the background is solid with no scenery.

    My judgement (scores out of 10):

    • Brief: 8. All five traits are present.
    • Silhouette: 8. It reads clearly as a small avatar.
    • Style: 9. It follows the pixel-art, outline, palette and background rules.
    • Originality: 7. It's a competent character but fairly conventional.

    Minor weaknesses (these didn't change the verdict):

    • The black shades blend into the black outline somewhat.
    • The armour is fairly generic.

    Name: Cobalt Sentry.

    Limits:

    • How well it fits the rest of the 787-piece collection is judged by eye. I had no other set pieces to compare against.
    • The task asked for only the JSON file, so I didn't add the README that the background reference suggests.
