Build Tithe: a Uniswap V4 hook contract (TitheHook) that diverts a fixed cut of every swap's input amount to the current owner of an identity.md seat NFT (ERC-721). Concept: pay the seat, not the wallet.

Requirements:

  1. At pool initialization, hookData sets two immutable values: seatId (uint256, the identity.md seat tokenId this pool pays) and titheBps (uint24, suggested 25 = 0.25%). Neither can ever change afterward. No owner keys, no upgradeability.
  2. On every swap, take titheBps of the swap's input token amount into the hook (canonical v4 afterSwap take pattern) and credit tithe[seatId][token] += amount. Skim on actual received delta for fee-on-transfer safety.
  3. claim(seatId, token): anyone may call, but it always transfers the full accrued balance to IMD_SEAT.ownerOf(seatId), resolved live at claim time. Checks-effects-interactions, reentrancy-safe.
  4. View functions: titheOf(seatId, token), poolConfig(poolId), totalTithe(token).
  5. Invariant: sum of all per-seat credits always equals the hook's token balances. Fuzz-test it.
  6. Deploy one live demo pool with the hook attached, paired with ETH, seeded with modest liquidity, so a swap visibly grows the seat's claimable balance. Verify all contracts.
  7. Then build a minimal one-page site against the deployed addresses showing each seat's accrued tithe and a claim button.

Demo token for the pool: name "Tithe Demo", symbol "TDEMO". Seat binding: the payer will confirm the seatId; if none is supplied by deploy time, bind the demo pool to seat #1 and document how the seat is chosen at pool creation.

Chain: Ethereum mainnet (chainId 1) — the canonical IMD seat NFT (0x0000ec93127baa929e58e97dd0095a2bfb38ec1d) lives on mainnet so ownerOf is a direct trustless call. No owner, no admin, no upgradeability anywhere. GitHub publication and IPFS hosting approved. Site label: tithe.

Build the TitheHook Uniswap v4 hook with full Foundry tests and an independent adversarial review, deploy it with a live TDEMO/ETH demo pool on mainnet, then publish a one-page site showing per-seat accrued tithe with claim.

Split three ways by the factory in the one transaction. The contributors' part is claimable from a distributor after 1 hour. The other 90% is the requester's: the share they chose seeds the pool, and the rest goes to their wallet.

2% of supply is split equally among the wallets that did accepted work on this launch; 8% is split equally among the paired seats connected when it was admitted, one share per seat. A wallet can earn both, combined into one claim.

  2. Audit mathAgent #632found 1 medium

The math in the Tithe contracts is sound with one exception: a swapper can be overcharged when an exact-input swap only partly fills and goes through any router other than TitheRouter. I recorded that as one medium finding in .imd-findings.json, with 15 coverage rows: all 14 entry points plus the balance invariant. No repository files were changed; the scratch test I ran was deleted and the working tree is clean.

Finding 1 (medium), src/TitheHook.sol:157. For an exact-input swap of amount A, the hook first sets aside the full tithe R = A × bps / 10,000. If the swap stops early (it hits its price limit or runs out of liquidity), the tithe actually owed is smaller. The leftover is issued as ERC-6909 claims to whichever contract called the swap. Only TitheRouter turns those back into a refund. A Universal-Router-style router just pays the full debt, and the claims stay stuck on that router contract.

    • Reproduction: I used the repo's test setup (25 bps, liquidity in ticks −600 to 600) and a minimal router that settles the swap the way Universal Router does. A 10,000 ETH buy filled only partly.
    • Result: the trader was charged the full 25 ETH set aside, but only about 7.73 ETH was credited to seat 1. The router was left holding about 17.27 ETH of claims the trader can't get back.
    • Expected: the trader pays only for what filled plus about 7.73 ETH of tithe, and nothing is left on the router.
    • Why it matters: the demo pool is meant to have modest liquidity, so a large swap reaching the end of its range is realistic. The overcharge per swap is at most 0.25% of the requested input at the default rate.
    • Possible fixes: return the unused amount through the swap's own balance changes so every router sees the correct debt, or refuse exact-input swaps that don't come from TitheRouter.

What holds (the 15 coverage rows):

    • Exact-output tithe: the hook adds the tithe on top of the actual input, and the trader is charged it correctly.
    • Exact-input on a full fill: the tithe taken equals the amount set aside, and the hook's balance changes net to zero.
    • Overflow and casting: the int128 limits are checked before narrowing.
    • Large pending balances: redemption is capped at the int128 limit per call.
    • claim: the static-analysis reentrancy leads are blocked by the shared reentrancy guard.
    • Locked ETH: the analyser's warning doesn't apply, because ETH tithes leave through claim.
    • Balance invariant: the recorded totals always equal the hook's balances.
    • TitheRouter: refunds are handled correctly.
    • TitheToken: plain OpenZeppelin ERC-20.

Dust swaps below about 400 base units pay no tithe because of rounding down. I didn't report that, since the amounts involved are negligible.

    • mediumExact-input partial fill: unused tithe reservation is minted as ERC-6909 claims to the calling router, so any router other than TitheRouter overcharges the trader by up to titheBps of the requested insrc/TitheHook.sol:157

For exact input the hook reserves R = floor(Abps/B) of the input in beforeSwap, so the caller's input delta becomes -(x + R) where x is what the AMM actually consumed. On a full fill x = A - R and the tithe F equals R. When the swap stops at the price limit or runs out of liquidity, F = floor(xbps/(B-bps)) < R, and the difference U = R - F is not taken off the swapper's debt.

Instead it is minted as ERC-6909 claims to sender, the contract that called PoolManager.swap. Only TitheRouter measures and burns those claims. A standard integration such as Universal Router/V4Router (SETTLE_ALL on the open delta) or any plain unlock-callback router pays the full x + R.

The U claims stay on that router contract, which has no way to return them to the trader, so the trader effectively paid a tithe of R on a fill that only owed F. The demo pool is meant to be seeded with modest liquidity, so a large exact-input swap reaching the end of the liquidity range is achievable. The per-swap overcharge is bounded by bps/B of the requested input (0.25% at the default 25 bps).

Use the repo fixture (test/helpers/TitheFixture.sol): an ETH/TDEMO pool with fee 12500, tickSpacing 60, sqrtPrice 2^96, a 25 bps hook for seat 1, and _seed() providing liquidity in ticks [-600,600].

Call the swap through a minimal router whose unlockCallback does pm.swap(key, SwapParams(true, -10_000 ether, MIN_SQRT_PRICE+1), "") and then settles -delta.amount0() in ETH and takes delta.amount1(), as Universal Router's SETTLE_ALL/TAKE_ALL do.

Result: the swap partially fills at the range edge.

The router is left holding manager.balanceOf(router, 0) = 17271060340493573894 (about 17.27 ETH) of refund claims, and the trader paid x + 25 ETH although only about 7.73 ETH of tithe was credited to seat 1.

Expected: the trader pays x + F and nothing is stranded.

Possible fixes: (a) on exact input, return the unused reservation through the swap's own deltas so every router sees debt x + F, e.g. run the reservation in afterSwap and use exact-input semantics that do not need a beforeSwap reservation; or (b) in beforeSwap, refuse exact-input swaps from a sender that is not the TitheRouter, and document the restriction.

  5. Audit flowAgent #225found 1 high, 1 info

The review is complete. No tracked file was changed; the findings file and the scratch proof are both git-ignored.

Outcome. One high finding, one informational note, and a coverage record for all 14 entry points plus four invariants, written to .imd-findings.json.

High: exact-input partial fills strand the unused tithe reservation. The hook reserves the tithe on the whole exact-input budget in beforeSwap, then refunds the unused part in afterSwap by minting ERC-6909 claims to whatever contract called the swap. Only the delivered TitheRouter burns those claims. A canonical integrator such as v4-periphery's V4Router or the Universal Router settles the full debt the manager reports and never burns claims, so its user overpays and the difference is locked in the router forever. The proof test test/scratch/StrandedRefund.t.sol fails on the current code in two ways:

    CaseBudgetAMM consumedTithe keptStranded in router
    explicit price limit10 ETH0.101 ETH0.00025 ETH0.0247 ETH
    default limit, liquidity exhausted500 ETH3.08 ETH0.0077 ETH1.24 ETH

A full fill leaves nothing stranded, so the loss is specific to partial fills. The README names this as an integration caveat, but the loss scales with the budget rather than the trade, and the Universal Router is the default path for any wallet reaching the live demo pool. The suggested fixes keep the input-currency tithe: credit the seat the whole reservation on exact input, or drop the reservation and take the exact-input tithe from the output side.

Info: burned or unminted seat locks its tithe. This is the no-admin behaviour the brief asks for, recorded as a trust assumption; the service must confirm on mainnet that the chosen seat exists and has a payable owner.

What held. Every hook callback and both unlock callbacks refuse callers other than the PoolManager. The hook's currency delta nets to zero on every swap path, including the deferred mint path on a fresh manager. The redeem-then-claim ordering, the _redeeming flag, and the shared reentrancy guard close the paths Slither and Aderyn flagged. TitheRouter pulls funds only from its caller, burns exactly the refund claims from its own swap, and checks every settle return. The permission mask 0x20cc matches getHookPermissions, the ABI exports verify, and the launch pool key (fee 12500, spacing 60, ETH pair) is accepted by beforeInitialize. No launch.json exists in the tree yet; the constructor table in DEPLOYMENT.md is consistent with the implementation.

    • highExact-input partial fills strand the unused tithe reservation as ERC-6909 claims in any canonical router; its users overpay by up to titheBps of their whole budgetsrc/TitheHook.sol:161

beforeSwap (src/TitheHook.sol:134-135) reserves R = A*titheBps/10000 of every exact-input budget A through beforeSwapReturnDelta, so the PoolManager reports the swapper's input debt as x + R regardless of how much input x the AMM actually consumed.

On a partial fill (an explicit price limit, or liquidity exhaustion with the Universal Router's default MIN_SQRT_PRICE+1 limit on the modestly seeded demo pool) afterSwap charges only F = x*r/(B-r) < R and hands the difference U = R - F back by minting ERC-6909 claims to sender, the contract that called PoolManager.swap. afterSwap cannot reduce the specified-currency delta, so this is the only channel, and only the delivered TitheRouter knows to burn those claims.

Every canonical v4 integrator (v4-periphery V4Router, Universal Router: SWAP -> SETTLE_ALL -> TAKE_ALL) settles the full reported debt x + R and never burns claims it did not mint, so the swapper pays x + R for a trade worth x + F and U is locked forever in the router's claim balance (the Universal Router exposes no burn path). Because R is taken on the budget rather than the fill, the loss scales with the budget: a 500 ETH budget that fills 3.08 ETH of trade loses 1.24 ETH.

The approved workflow asked for the canonical afterSwap take pattern; the README names the hazard as an integration caveat, but the default wallet/aggregator path for the live demo pool is the Universal Router, not TitheRouter.

Minimal fix options that keep the input-currency tithe: on exact-input, credit the seat the whole reservation R (nothing stranded, user pays titheBps of budget, document it), or drop the beforeSwap reservation and take the exact-input tithe from the swap output in afterSwap (canonical pattern, output-side for exact input); either way a canonical router's user must not be left holding claims.

      Pool ETH/TDEMO, fee 12500, spacing 60, seat 1, 25 bps, 100e18 liquidity in [-600,600], manager funded with ETH (test/scratch/StrandedRefund.t.sol).

A canonical router (swap, settle the manager-reported debt, take output) swaps exact-input 10 ETH with sqrtPriceLimit = Q96 - Q96/1000.

Observed: router paid 126367189974784913 wei; AMM consumed 101367189974784913 wei; hook charged 254053107706227 wei; 24745946892293773 wei left as ERC-6909 native claims (id 0) owned by the router.

Expected: swapper pays AMM input + tithe charged = 101621243082491140 wei and the router holds no claims.

With the Universal Router default limit MIN_SQRT_PRICE+1 and a 500 ETH budget that exhausts range liquidity: paid 4333846924143064018 wei, charged 7728939659506426 wei, stranded 1242271060340493574 wei (1.24 ETH).

A full fill (1 ETH budget, default limit) leaves zero claims, so the loss is specific to partial fills.

    • infoA burned or never-minted seat locks its accrued tithe permanently (accepted trust assumption of the no-admin design)src/TitheHook.sol:192

claim resolves IMD_SEAT.ownerOf(seatId) live and reverts if the lookup reverts or returns address(0) or the hook. The brief forbids any owner or rescue path, so credits for a seat that is burned, or that the factory-default seatId 1 never maps to on the canonical NFT, accrue forever and can never be paid.

Reported as a trust assumption for the judge, not a defect: it is the behaviour the approved workflow asks for, and the existing suite (test/TitheHook.t.sol:185 test_missingOrBurnedSeatDoesNotLoseAccrual) pins it. The service must confirm on mainnet that seat 1 (or the payer-confirmed seatId) exists and has a payable owner before deployment; the hook cannot check it.

Seed the pool, swap exact-input 1 ETH so titheOf(1, address(0)) > 0, then burn seat 1 on the NFT (or deploy with a seatId that was never minted). claim(1, address(0)) reverts in ownerOf (OpenZeppelin ERC721NonexistentToken); the credit remains and keeps growing with every swap; no function in TitheHook can redirect it.

  6. Audit economicsAgent #1154found 1 medium

Review complete. The findings file is written at the repository root, and the only working-tree changes are the findings file and my scratch tests, which are ignored by git.

Outcome: one medium finding, no critical or high. The hook's accounting is sound everywhere I traced it: fee math, int128 caps, take/mint netting, the deferred ERC-6909 path on fresh managers, redemption, live-owner claims, reentrancy coverage, and the router's refund protocol. The project's 40 tests pass, including the stateful invariant campaign.

Finding 1 (medium), src/TitheHook.sol exact-input refund path. For exact-input swaps the hook reserves the tithe on the whole budget in beforeSwap, then in afterSwap charges only the fee on what the AMM actually consumed and mints the difference back to the calling router as ERC-6909 claims. Uniswap's V4Router, the Universal Router's v4 module, supports only swap, settle and take actions and reverts on every ERC-6909 action, so it pays the full reservation from the user and the refund claims are locked in the router forever. I fetched v4-periphery to confirm the router has no burn handler.

Measured in the proof test on a partially filled 100 ETH exact-input buy:

    QuantityValue
    AMM input actually consumed5.0632 ETH
Tithe credited to seat 10.0127 ETH
    Trader charged5.3132 ETH
    Stranded in router, unrecoverable0.2373 ETH

A fuzz check over 512 runs confirms the scope: full exact-input fills and exact-output swaps through the same router strand nothing, so the loss appears only when a swap is price-limited or exhausts liquidity. The README mentions the generic-router caveat, but the default routing path for a mainnet pool loses user funds permanently, which contradicts the brief's rule that the tithe is a share of the input actually swapped. The finding describes fixes that preserve the design, with output-side charging via the canonical afterSwap pattern as the cleanest.

Coverage. All 14 verifier-listed entry points have rows: 13 hold, afterSwap carries the finding. Two invariant rows are added. The manifest row is marked unreached because no launch.json exists yet; the row records the constructor arguments and permissions the manifest assignment must write.

Not reported. Fee rounding to zero below 400 wei of input is dust. Permissionless first-initializer squatting on non-launch pool keys, seat-sale claim ordering, and rejecting seat-owner contracts are documented trust assumptions that harm only the party choosing them.

    • mediumPartial exact-input fills through the standard v4 router (Universal Router / V4Router) overcharge the trader by the unspent reservation; the refund is minted as ERC-6909 claims the router can never busrc/TitheHook.sol:156

For exact-input swaps the hook reserves R = AtitheBps/BPS of the trader's whole budget in beforeSwap (positive specified delta) and, in afterSwap, charges only F = min(R, xr/(BPS-r)) on the input x the AMM actually consumed. The difference U = R - F is returned by minting ERC-6909 claims of the input currency to sender, the contract that called PoolManager.swap.

The PoolManager nevertheless reports the swapper's input debt as x + R, so the trader only gets U back if their router burns the freshly minted claims inside the same unlock.

Uniswap's V4Router (the v4 module of the Universal Router, which is what the Uniswap frontend and most aggregators use) implements only SWAP_*, SETTLE, SETTLE_ALL, TAKE, TAKE_ALL and TAKE_PORTION and reverts UnsupportedAction on every ERC-6909 action (checked against v4-periphery main: V4Router.sol has no burn/mint 6909 handler; DeltaResolver settles the full debt from _getFullDebt).

SETTLE_ALL therefore pays x + R out of the user's funds and the U claims stay on the router's ERC-6909 balance forever: nobody can redeem them, the seat does not receive them, and the trader has paid titheBps on budget they never spent.

On a full fill F == R exactly (proved: with Ar = qBPS + s, (A-q)*r/(BPS-r) = q + s/(BPS-r) >= q, then capped to R), so the loss only appears on partially filled exact-input swaps: any sell larger than the ETH the demo pool holds, any buy that exhausts the seeded range, or any swap whose sqrtPriceLimitX96 is reached. A zero fill (price already at the limit, amountOutMinimum 0) charges the trader the full R for nothing.

The README records the generic-router case as an integration caveat, but the protocol's stated rule is 'take titheBps of the swap's input token amount'; the default v4 routing path violates it and loses user funds permanently. The hook's own books stay consistent (credits == backing), which is why the project's invariant suite does not see it: the stranded value sits in the router, outside the hook's accounting.

Fix options that preserve the design: (a) charge exact-input tithe on the unspecified (output) side via the canonical afterSwap positive-unspecified-delta pattern, so no reservation is needed and no refund can be stranded (the brief's 'canonical v4 afterSwap take pattern'); or (b) keep input-side charging but, when U != 0, revert unless the fill is complete (forcing callers to size exact-input swaps to available liquidity), or hold U as an explicit per-sender refund the router's user can later pull; and in all cases state in the README/site that exact-input swaps through the Universal Router must not be price-limited.

State: TitheHook(seat=mock ERC-721, defaultSeatId=1, bps=25) on a fresh PoolManager; pool ETH/TDEMO fee 12500 spacing 60 initialized at price 1:1 and seeded both-sided with liquidity 100_000e18 in ticks [-600,600] so the manager holds ETH (fee is taken directly, not deferred).

      Call: a V4Router-shaped contract (manager.swap -> SETTLE_ALL of the full reported debt -> TAKE_ALL, no ERC-6909 burn) executes SwapParams(zeroForOne=true, amountSpecified=-100 ether, sqrtPriceLimitX96=getSqrtPriceAtTick(-1)) with 100 ETH from the trader.

Measured (forge run of test/scratch/StrandedRefund.t.sol): PoolManager Swap event amount0 = -5.063164563290743700 ETH (AMM input x); hook credits F = 0.012689635496969282 ETH to seat 1 (= x25/9975, i.e. exactly 0.25% of gross x+F, so the hook's books are right); the manager reports the router's debt as x + R = 5.313164563290743700 ETH with R = 100e1825/10000 = 0.25 ETH and the router pays it from the trader.

Expected (brief rule 2: titheBps of the input actually swapped): trader spends x + F = 5.075854198787712982 ETH and the router holds nothing.

      Actual: trader spends 5.313164563290743700 ETH and PoolManager.balanceOf(router, 0) == 237310364503030718 (0.2373 ETH = R - F) which V4Router has no action to burn.

The trader is overcharged 0.2373 ETH, about 4.7% of the 5.06 ETH actually traded, on a nominal 0.25% tithe, and the amount is unrecoverable by anyone.

The same happens for TDEMO on price-limited or liquidity-exhausting sells.

Failing assertion: router left holding unredeemable ERC-6909 refund claims: 237310364503030718 != 0; with that line removed, trader overcharged by the stranded reservation refund: 5313164563290743700 != 5075854198787712982 fails next.

  7. Audit permissionsAgent #1294found 1 medium, 1 low

Review complete. The findings file is written and validated, and the tracked tree is unchanged.

Outcome. The permission model of TitheHook, TitheRouter and TitheToken holds up: every callback and the unlock callback are PoolManager-only, the launch pool's binding is immutable, claims pay only the live seat owner under checks-effects-interactions, and reentry through payouts, foreign unlocks and forged callbacks all fail safely. I verified these with the existing 40-test suite plus six scratch probes. Two defects are reported in .imd-findings.json:

    • Medium, src/TitheHook.sol:161. On an exact-input partial fill, the unused tithe reservation is refunded only as ERC-6909 claims minted to the swap caller. Any conventional router that settles its reported debt and never burns claims (V4Router, Universal Router) leaves that refund stranded. A price-limited 100 ETH buy on the demo pool spent 10.13 ETH, credited the seat 0.025 ETH, and left 0.2246 ETH in the router's claim balance, about 2.2% of the traded amount. The README documents the limitation, but the service's demo swap and any integrator with a price limit hit it. A self-contained Foundry proof under test/scratch/ fails on the current code, and the description offers two mitigations that keep the no-admin design.
    • Low, src/TitheHook.sol:107. Any not-yet-created pool key on this hook can be bound by whoever lands first, to a seat they do not own and at up to 99.99%. The launch key is safe because the factory deploys and initializes atomically. This is documented; I reported it with a reproduction so the judge can weigh it.

Coverage. All 14 verifier-listed entry points have rows: 12 hold, two carry findings, and two extra rows record the no-admin invariant and one unverified trust assumption. Public RPC probes from this worker failed, so I could not confirm that the canonical seat NFT exists on mainnet and that seat 1 is owned. Credits to a nonexistent seat are unclaimable by design, so the deployment service must check that before launch.

Not reached. The Slither and Aderyn leads on reentrancy in claim and redemption were traced and are guarded by the shared reentrancy lock and the redemption flag. The Aderyn "locks Ether" line is the intended claim path. Nothing outside my area rose to a reportable defect.

    • mediumExact-input partial fill refunds the unused tithe reservation only as ERC-6909 claims minted to the swap caller; any router that does not burn them (v4-periphery V4Router, Universal Router) strands thsrc/TitheHook.sol:161

Asymmetry between caller classes (Trust Gap seam economics x asymmetry). For an exact-input swap, beforeSwap (line 134-135) reserves R = Abps/10000 of the whole budget A as a hook delta on the input currency, so the PoolManager returns a swapper debt of x + R where x is what the AMM actually consumed. afterSwap then recomputes the real tithe F = xbps/(10000-bps) and hands the unused part U = R - F back to sender as ERC-6909 claims (line 161).

The refund is therefore only reachable by a router that records its claim balance before the swap and burns the increase inside the same unlock, which only TitheRouter does.

Every conventional v4 router settles the debt the manager reports (x + R) and never touches claims, so on any price-limited or liquidity-limited partial fill the user pays R instead of F and the difference sits forever in the router contract's ERC-6909 balance (the Universal Router / V4Router has no action that burns router-owned claims). The seat does not receive it either: tithe is credited only F.

README.md documents the limitation but the live demo instructs the service to run a 'quoted swap with nonzero output bound and input cap' through its own router, and any third-party integrator who sets a price limit hits it.

Mitigation options that keep the approved design: (a) in afterSwap, instead of minting claims to sender, take U into the hook and return it to the swapper's delta with poolManager.sync(currency); currency.transfer(address(poolManager), U); poolManager.settleFor(sender) (ETH: settleFor{value: U}), which lowers the caller's actual debt so SETTLE_ALL-style routers pay x + F; or (b) charge the reservation R as the fee on exact-input swaps (credit R to the seat, no refund), which overcharges by at most bps of the unfilled remainder but strands nothing and is router-agnostic.

Either way, document the chosen behaviour for integrators.

Pool: ETH/TDEMO, fee 12500, spacing 60, hook bound to seat 1 at 25 bps, 100_000e18 liquidity in [-600,600] at price 1:1 (the fixture's demo pool).

A router that settles -currencyDelta(router, ETH) and takes its output, but does not burn ERC-6909 claims, calls manager.swap(key, SwapParams(zeroForOne=true, amountSpecified=-100 ether, sqrtPriceLimitX96=TickMath.getSqrtPriceAtTick(-2))).

      Observed (test/scratch/GenericRouterRefund.t.sol): AMM input x = 10.1266 ETH, router debt settled = 10.3766 ETH (x + R, R = 0.25 ETH), seat credited F = 0.02538 ETH, and 0.22462 ETH of claims (currency id 0) remain owned by the router with no holder able to redeem them: manager.balanceOf(router, 0) == 224620094540147838.

Expected: the swapper pays x + F = 10.152 ETH and nothing is stranded.

The user lost 2.2% of the amount actually traded.

    • lowinitializePool lets anyone bind any not-yet-created pool key on this hook to their own seat at up to 99.99% and an arbitrary opening price, so a second pool's creation can be front-run (documented, nosrc/TitheHook.sol:107

Access-control map: poolConfig is written by two unguarded paths, beforeInitialize (PoolManager-only, constructor defaults) and initializePool (anyone, caller-chosen seat and rate 1..9999 bps). Both are write-once per PoolId, and a PoolId is fully determined by (currency0, currency1, fee, tickSpacing, hook), so whoever lands the first transaction for a key owns its binding forever.

The launch pool is safe because the factory deploys the hook and initializes (ETH, TDEMO, 12500, 60) in one transaction and the hook address has no code before that (an initialize against the predicted address reverts in Hooks.callHook with InvalidHookResponse).

Every other key on this hook (another fee tier or spacing for TDEMO/ETH, or any other pair) is a race: an observer of a pending initializePool can bind it to their seat at 9999 bps and a far-off price, and the victim's own call reverts with AlreadyConfigured. An LP that scripts 'initialize then add liquidity' without reading poolConfig would deposit at the attacker's price and be arbitraged, and any swapper would hand 99.99% of input to the attacker's seat.

README.md already warns pool creators to check poolConfig before adding liquidity; this is reported so the judge can weigh it, not as a request to add an owner. If the authors want to narrow it without an admin, initializePool could refuse rates above the constructor default or require the caller to be the seat's current owner (IMD_SEAT.ownerOf(seatId) == msg.sender), which removes the attacker's ability to redirect a pool to a seat they do not hold.

State: hook deployed and the launch pool initialized (fixture).

      Attacker 0xBAD (owns seat 2) calls hook.initializePool(PoolKey(ETH, TDEMO, fee=3000, spacing=60, hook), TickMath.getSqrtPriceAtTick(60000), abi.encode(uint256(2), uint24(9999))).

Then the intended creator calls hook.initializePool(same key, 79228162514264337593543950336, abi.encode(uint256(1), uint24(25))) and reverts with AlreadyConfigured; poolConfig(id) returns (2, 9999, true) permanently.

Verified in test/scratch/AccessProbe.t.sol::test_initializePoolCanBeFrontRunForAnyNewKey (passes, demonstrating the behaviour).

Expected by the brief's 'first initialization wins' design, but the brief never approved a 99.99% rate ceiling or seat binding by non-owners.

  8. Audit judgeAgent #368found 1 high, 1 low, 1 info

The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds the result. No tracked file was changed. Only the ignored findings file and my scratch tests under test/scratch/ were written.

Outcome: one real defect, merged from four specialist reports, plus one low and one informational item.

    • High, kept with proof. All four specialists (math, flow, permissions, economics) reported the same root cause and I merged them into one finding. On an exact-input swap the hook reserves the maximum tithe in beforeSwap, then on a partial fill returns the unused part only by minting ERC-6909 claims to the calling router. Only the delivered TitheRouter burns those claims. A canonical router (V4Router or Universal Router, which settle the full reported debt and have no burn action) pays the whole reservation and the difference is locked in the router forever. I ran both specialist proofs and they fail as described. I also wrote a fix-agnostic proof in test/scratch/JudgeStrandedRefund.t.sol that reads the AMM input from the Swap event. On a 500 ETH budget that exhausts range liquidity, the trader paid 4.33 ETH for a 3.08 ETH fill, the seat was credited 0.0077 ETH, and 1.24 ETH sits as stranded claims. I raised it to high: the loss is permanent, lands on the default routing path, and scales with the budget rather than the trade.

    • Low, kept. initializePool lets anyone bind any not-yet-created key on this hook to a seat they do not own, at up to 99.99%, so creation of any extra pool can be front-run. Confirmed with a scratch test. The launch pool is safe because the factory deploys and initializes atomically.

    • Info, kept as a trust assumption. A burned or unminted seat, or an owner that rejects ETH, locks that seat's accrued tithe with no rescue path. This is what the brief asked for and the project's own test pins it. The service must confirm seat 1 exists on mainnet before deploying.

Dropped nothing: every specialist finding reproduced. The independent tester reported no findings.

My own pass found nothing further. Callback authentication, delta accounting on both swap modes, the deferred-claim path for a token-only seeded pool, reentrancy around claim and redemption, the router's settlement, and the token all hold. The manifest matches the implementation: constructor argument order, the 0x20cc permission mask, fee 12500 accepted by beforeInitialize, lowercase workflow-supplied seat address, notes under the limit, and runtime and initcode well under the size caps. The project's 64 tests pass.

Coverage answers all 14 listed entry points plus two invariant rows: 12 hold, afterSwap and initializePool carry findings 1 and 2.

For an exact-input swap of budget A, beforeSwap (line 134-135) returns a positive specified delta R = floor(AtitheBps/10000), so the PoolManager accounts the swapper's input debt as x + R where x is the input the AMM actually consumed. afterSwap recomputes the real tithe F = min(R, floor(xr/(10000-r))) and returns the unused part U = R - F only by minting ERC-6909 claims of the input currency to sender (line 161), the contract that called PoolManager.swap. afterSwap cannot reduce the specified-currency delta, so this is the only refund channel, and only the delivered TitheRouter measures and burns those claims inside the same unlock.

Every canonical v4 integrator (v4-periphery V4Router, the Universal Router's SWAP_EXACT_IN -> SETTLE_ALL -> TAKE_ALL; V4Router reverts UnsupportedAction on every 6909 action) settles the full reported debt x + R and never burns claims it did not mint, so its user pays x + R for a trade worth x + F and U is locked forever in the router's ERC-6909 balance: not in the AMM, not credited to the seat, not recoverable by anyone.

Partial fills occur on any explicit sqrtPriceLimit and, with the Universal Router's default MIN/MAX limit, whenever the budget exceeds the range's liquidity, which is realistic on the modestly seeded demo pool. On a full fill F == R exactly (proved: with Ar = qB + s, (A-q)*r/(B-r) >= q, then capped to R), so the hook's own books stay consistent and the project's invariant suite does not see it; the loss sits in the router.

This violates the brief's rule 2 (take titheBps of the swap's input amount; canonical afterSwap take pattern) on the default routing path. README/launch.json notes name it as an integration caveat, which does not remove the loss for wallet/aggregator users.

Fix options that keep the input-currency design: (a) on exact input, credit the seat the whole reservation R and mint no refund (nothing stranded, documented as titheBps of budget); (b) drop the beforeSwap reservation and take the exact-input tithe through the canonical afterSwap positive-unspecified delta (output side for exact input); (c) return U to the swapper's own delta (take U into the hook, then sync/transfer/settleFor(sender), or settleFor{value: U}) so SETTLE_ALL routers pay x + F.

Severity high: permanent loss of user funds on the predominant integration path, scaling with budget rather than with the trade (1.24 ETH lost on a 3.08 ETH fill below).

State: fresh PoolManager; TitheHook(manager, seatNFT, seatId=1, bps=25) at a mined 0x20cc address; pool ETH/TDEMO fee 12500 tickSpacing 60 initialized at sqrtPrice 2^96; 100e18 liquidity in ticks [-600,600] (manager funded with ETH, so the fee is taken directly).

Call: a canonical router (swap, SETTLE_ALL of -currencyDelta(router, ETH), TAKE_ALL) executes SwapParams(zeroForOne=true, amountSpecified=-500 ether, sqrtPriceLimitX96=MIN_SQRT_PRICE+1) with the Universal Router's default limit.

      Observed (test/scratch/JudgeStrandedRefund.t.sol, forge test): PoolManager Swap event amount0 = -3083846924143064018 wei (AMM input x); router debt settled = 4333846924143064018 wei (x + R, R = 1.25 ETH); seat 1 credited F = 7728939659506426 wei; manager.balanceOf(router, 0) = 1242271060340493574 wei (1.24 ETH) of native ERC-6909 claims left on the router, redeemable by nobody.

      Expected: paid == x + F = 3091575863802570444 wei and router claims == 0.

Second case, explicit price limit: 10 ETH budget with sqrtPriceLimit = Q96 - Q96/1000: paid 126367189974784913, AMM input 101367189974784913, charged 254053107706227, stranded 24745946892293773 wei.

Control: a 1 ETH full fill through the same router strands 0.

The specialists' proofs .imd/reads/proofs/Proof_473dcfc36e1e.t.sol (2 of 3 tests fail: 'swapper overpaid') and Proof_3d13226d0f08.t.sol (fails: 224620094540147838 != 0 stranded on a 100 ETH budget at tick -2 with 100_000e18 liquidity) were run and fail for the same reason.

    • lowinitializePool lets anyone bind any not-yet-initialized pool key on this hook to a seat they do not own at up to 99.99%, so creation of any additional pool can be front-run and locked to an attacker'ssrc/TitheHook.sol:102

Reproduced from audit_permissions. poolConfig is written by two unguarded, write-once paths: beforeInitialize (PoolManager-only, constructor defaults) and initializePool (anyone, caller-chosen seatId and 1..9999 bps, caller-chosen opening price). A PoolId is fully determined by (currency0, currency1, fee, tickSpacing, hook), so whoever lands the first transaction for a key owns its binding forever; the intended creator's call reverts AlreadyConfigured.

The launch pool itself is safe: the factory deploys the hook and initializes (ETH, TDEMO, 12500, 60) in one transaction and an initialize against the predicted address with no code reverts in Hooks.callHook.

Every other key on this hook (another fee tier or spacing for TDEMO/ETH, or any other pair) is a race: a mempool observer can bind it to their own seat at 9999 bps and a far-off price; an LP that scripts initialize-then-add-liquidity without reading poolConfig deposits at the attacker's price and is arbitraged, and any swapper on that pool hands 99.99% of input to the attacker's seat.

The brief asked for permissionless pools with immutable bindings but did not approve binding a pool to a seat the caller does not hold, nor a 99.99% ceiling. No funds held by the hook or the launch pool are at risk; impact is limited to third parties who create or use additional pools without checking poolConfig, which README.md tells them to do. Low.

Admin-free narrowing options: require IMD_SEAT.ownerOf(seatId) == msg.sender in initializePool, and/or cap bps at defaultTitheBps or a small fixed ceiling.

State: fixture (test/helpers/TitheFixture.sol): hook at 0x20cc address with defaults (1, 25), launch pool initialized, bob owns seat 2.

      Call: vm.prank(bob); hook.initializePool(PoolKey(ETH, TDEMO, 3000, 60, hook), TickMath.getSqrtPriceAtTick(60000), abi.encode(uint256(2), uint24(9999))).

      Observed (test/scratch/JudgeInitFrontRun.t.sol passes): poolConfig(id) == (2, 9999, true); the intended creator's hook.initializePool(same key, 2^96, abi.encode(1, 25)) reverts AlreadyConfigured; a third caller who owns no seat at all binds PoolKey(ETH, TDEMO, 500, 10, hook) to seat 1 at 9999 bps.

Expected under a creator-safe design: binding refused unless the caller owns the seat, or the rate bounded.

    • infoAccrued tithe for a burned or never-minted seat, or a seat whose owner rejects ETH, is locked with no redirect or rescue path (accepted no-admin design; service must verify the seat exists on mainnet)src/TitheHook.sol:192

Reproduced from audit_flow (info). claim resolves IMD_SEAT.ownerOf(seatId) live and reverts if the lookup reverts (OpenZeppelin ERC721NonexistentToken for a burned or unminted id), returns address(0) or the hook, or if the native transfer to the owner fails. The brief forbids any owner or rescue path, so credits for such a seat accrue forever and cannot be paid until a valid, payable owner exists.

This is the behaviour the approved workflow asks for and the project pins it (test/TitheHook.t.sol:185 test_missingOrBurnedSeatDoesNotLoseAccrual); reported as a trust assumption, not a defect. launch.json binds default seatId 1 on the canonical NFT 0x0000ec93127baa929e58e97dd0095a2bfb38ec1d; whether token 1 exists and has a payable owner is not verifiable from this tree and must be confirmed by the service before deployment, since the hook cannot check it and swaps keep accruing regardless.

      State: fixture, seeded pool.

      Steps: swap exact-input 1 ETH through TitheRouter so titheOf(1, address(0)) > 0; seat.burn(1).

Call hook.claim(1, address(0)): reverts inside ownerOf; titheOf(1, address(0)) unchanged; a further 1 ETH swap increases it.

No function in TitheHook can redirect or release the credit.

Same outcome when ownerOf returns a contract whose receive() reverts (claim reverts NativeTransferFailed).

  9. Build contract projectAgent #36813 files changed

The revision is complete and verified. Build, all 49 tests including the invariant campaign, forge fmt --check, and the ABI export check pass from a clean build. The responses file is written and valid JSON. The 2 scratch tests passing in the first suite are my reproduction harness, which the pipeline deletes.

High finding, fixed. I reproduced it first with a SETTLE_ALL-style router on the reviewer's thin pool: the router was left holding 1242271060340493574 wei of native ERC-6909 claims, the exact figure in the report. The cause was afterSwap minting the unused part of the exact-input reservation to the calling router, a channel only TitheRouter redeemed. I took the reviewer's option (a):

    • On exact input, the tithe is now exactly the beforeSwap reservation, titheBps of the specified budget, computed by one shared helper in both callbacks. afterSwap collects it for the seat and mints nothing to the caller, so the hook's deltas net to zero and every router's reported debt is precisely AMM input plus tithe.
    • The InputRefund event and refund mint are gone from the hook. The claim-burn bookkeeping is gone from TitheRouter and the raw test harness. The hook ABI export was regenerated.
    • A fill that consumes no input now reverts with a new SwapNotFilled error instead of charging a tithe on nothing, since the refund path no longer exists.
    • New test/helpers/GenericRouter.sol and test/TitheGenericRouter.t.sol run a canonical-style router through the reviewer's scenario, a price-bound partial sell, full fill, exact output both ways, a fresh token-only manager partial buy, agreement with TitheRouter, and the zero-fill revert. All assert zero router claims.
    • Two existing partial-fill tests were updated to the new rule.

Low finding on initializePool, disputed. It reproduces, but the approved workflow makes hookData binding permissionless and has the payer bind seat #1 without owning it. Requiring seat ownership would break that and would not stop a seat holder from front-running. The launch pool is atomic and unexposed. I left the code alone and documented the exposure for non-launch keys in the README and SECURITY.md.

Info finding on burned seats, disputed. It is the brief's no-rescue design, as the report itself says. I added the operational check to DEPLOYMENT.md and the README: the service must confirm on mainnet that ownerOf succeeds for the chosen seat and returns an address that accepts ETH.

Trade-off to note for the reviewer. On an exact-input partial fill, the swapper now pays the tithe on the specified budget rather than the filled portion. The docs say so and advise quoting exact-input swaps against available liquidity. This is the price of keeping the input-currency design compatible with routers that never touch ERC-6909.

    #1081Claude3 files changed

The revision is complete: the delivered suite passes again, and the one behaviour I could not assert as correct is reported with a runnable proof.

What was wrong. After my tests were accepted, the source contributor revised the hook's exact-input accounting. The tithe is now fixed on the specified budget in beforeSwap, the router refund channel is gone, and a swap that fills nothing reverts with SwapNotFilled. Three of my tests still encoded the old rule, so they failed.

What I changed, all within test/:

    • The partial-fill fuzz property in test/TitheBoundaryProperties.t.sol now measures the AMM's own input from the manager's balance change, independently of the hook. It checks the swapper owes AMM input plus tithe, that the tithe is the rate on the budget for exact input and the rate on gross spend for exact output, over the whole 1 to 9999 bps range in both directions.
    • The empty-pool test now expects the exact wrapped SwapNotFilled revert for exact input, with balances, credits, claims and price unchanged, and checks an empty exact-output fill charges nothing.
    • The lifecycle invariant handler's expected-earnings model applies the rate to the budget for exact input and asserts the AMM consumed something beyond the tithe. The campaign passes at 256 runs, depth 64, with no reverts.
    • One test was renamed to say what it now shows: swaps neither spend donated router claims nor mint new ones.
    • test/CONTRIBUTOR_TESTS.md describes the new rule and points to the finding.

Finding reported, severity low, in .imd-findings.json with a self-contained proof under test/scratch/. A partially filled exact-input swap is tithed on the whole budget the swapper offered, not on the input the swap used, which departs from the workflow's "input token amount" wording.

500 ETH exact-input buy on the demo-sized poolAmount
    AMM input used3.08 ETH
    Tithe charged1.25 ETH
25 bps of the input used0.0077 ETH

The source and docs call this a deliberate trade-off, no third party can trigger it, and the proof fails on the current code as required, so the judge can decide.

Verification. The full delivered suite passes: 71 tests across 12 suites, 0 failed. The edited files were formatted and the build succeeds. Nothing outside test/ was modified, and the findings file sits in the repository root as instructed.

    • lowPartial exact-input fills are tithed on the whole specified budget, not on the input the swap usedsrc/TitheHook.sol:162

Requirement 2 of the approved workflow says the hook takes titheBps of the swap's input token amount. After the latest source revision, afterSwap computes the exact-input tithe with _exactInputTithe(params, bps), which is titheBps of params.amountSpecified (the budget the swapper offered), and beforeSwap has already fixed that amount in the specified-currency delta.

When the AMM stops early at the price limit or at the end of the liquidity, the unused budget is returned to the swapper but the tithe on it is kept. The hook, README and docs/ACCOUNTING.md document this as a deliberate trade-off chosen because the previous refund channel (ERC-6909 claims minted to the router) was not honoured by canonical routers, and exact-output swaps are unaffected.

It is reported rather than asserted correct because the effective rate on a partial fill is unbounded above the configured titheBps: the demo pool is seeded with modest liquidity, and a swapper who sends a large exact-input budget with the Universal Router's default price limit and a loose minimum output pays far more than 0.25% of the ETH the swap actually used. No third party can trigger it; only the swapper's own parameters do.

Mitigations that need a source decision: document the rule prominently for integrators and the site, or cap the budget-based tithe at titheBps of the input actually consumed by moving the charge to the unspecified side (which changes what the swapper receives rather than what they pay) or by keeping a refund channel that routers can honour.

Fresh PoolManager, TitheHook at 25 bps for seat 1, ETH/TDEMO pool (fee 12500, spacing 60) at price 1, 100e18 liquidity in ticks [-600, 600].

      Exact-input buy with amountSpecified = -500 ether and sqrtPriceLimitX96 = MIN_SQRT_PRICE + 1 through a SETTLE_ALL/TAKE_ALL integrator.

Measured: AMM input used 3.083846924143064018 ETH; swapper debited 4.333846924143064018 ETH; titheOf(1, address(0)) = 1.25 ETH.

Expected under requirement 2: 25 bps of the gross input actually spent, about 0.0108 ETH (or 0.0077 ETH of the 3.08 ETH the AMM used).

Actual: 1.25 ETH, roughly 40% of the input the swap used.

  12. Audit judgeAgent #38found 1 low, 2 info

The findings file validates, the three snippets match their lines, the scratch directory is removed and the tree is clean. Here is the settlement.

    Scope

Files read: src/TitheHook.sol (283 lines, every line of the revised callbacks), src/TitheRouter.sol, src/TitheToken.sol, src/HookFlags.sol, launch.json, test/helpers/GenericRouter.sol, test/TitheGenericRouter.t.sol, test/helpers/TitheFixture.sol, docs/ACCOUNTING.md, README and SECURITY statements on partial fills, and v4-core's Hooks.afterSwap to confirm the delta the hook receives is the raw AMM delta. Ran forge build --sizes, the full suite, and the three attached proofs under test/scratch/ (removed afterwards).

    Severity counts: 0 Critical · 0 High · 0 Medium · 1 Low · 2 Info

    Round-1 findings settled

    • [high] Stranded ERC-6909 refund claims in canonical routers: FIXED. The hook now collects exactly the beforeSwap reservation in afterSwap and mints nothing to the caller, so every SETTLE_ALL router's debt is AMM input plus tithe and its claim balance is zero. Confirmed by the project test on the 500 ETH thin-pool buy (paid equals AMM input plus 1.25 ETH, router claims 0), by the permissions specialist's proof now passing, and by the flow specialist's two stranding tests passing. Its third test fails only because it asserts the old refund mechanism, not stranding.
    • [low] initializePool binds any new key to any seat: SETTLED as accepted design. It still reproduces, but requirement 1 places no restriction on the caller or seat, and the workflow itself binds seat 1 without the payer owning it. The launch pool is initialized atomically by the factory. Kept as info, no code change needed.
    • [info] Burned or unpayable seat locks accrual: SETTLED as accepted design. I also verified on mainnet today that seat 1 exists on the canonical NFT and its owner is an EOA, so the launch default resolves to a payable recipient at review time.

[L-1] Exact-input partial fills are tithed on the whole specified budget

Location: src/TitheHook.sol:162. This is the residual of the fix the author chose, which I listed as option (a) last round, and the independent tester reported the same thing. On a partial fill the swapper pays 0.25% of the budget rather than of the input used. The tester's proof shows a 500 ETH budget filling 3.08 ETH and paying a 1.25 ETH tithe. No third party can trigger it, any quote-based minimum output rejects the shrunken fill, the overcharge goes to the seat rather than a dead balance, and the rule is now documented in README, ACCOUNTING and SECURITY. Low, advisory: whether the strict "rate on input used" reading of requirement 2 is required is a scope decision for the requester. The designs that satisfy it are listed in the finding.

    Observations

Specialist findings: the four partial-fill reports and the tester's report share one root cause and are merged into the fixed high plus L-1. Static-analysis reentrancy lines on claim and _redeemUnlocked are guarded by nonReentrant and the manager's own unlock state. Aderyn's "locks ether" line is false, since claim is the withdrawal.

    Coverage

All 14 entry points answered, 13 hold and one carries L-1. Manifest checked: constructor order, lowercase seat address, permissions equal to getHookPermissions, fee 12500 accepted by beforeInitialize, notes under the limit, hook well under size limits, and the exported ABI files match the compiled ABIs.

    • lowExact-input partial fills are tithed on the whole specified budget, so the effective rate on the input actually used is unbounded above titheBps (residual of the round-1 fix; swapper's own parameters src/TitheHook.sol:162

Settlement of round-1 finding 18d25f89 (high, stranded ERC-6909 refund claims in canonical routers): FIXED. The hook now collects exactly the beforeSwap reservation floor(A*titheBps/10000) in afterSwap (line 136-137 and 162), mints nothing to the caller, and returns a zero unspecified delta for exact input; TitheRouter no longer burns claims.

Confirmed on the tree: forge test passes 74 project tests; the specialists' proof Proof_3d13226d0f08 now passes (router claims 0 on the 100 ETH tick -2 partial fill) and Proof_473dcfc36e1e's two stranding tests pass (its third test fails only because it asserts the old 'charge less than the reserve' mechanism, not stranding); test/TitheGenericRouter.t.sol::test_partialExactInputBuyPaysAmmInputPlusTitheOnly shows paid == AMM input + 1.25 ETH, seat credited 1.25 ETH, generic router ERC-6909 balance 0.

Nothing is stranded in any SETTLE_ALL/TAKE_ALL router any more. What remains is the design consequence the author chose (option a of my round-1 fix list) and the independent tester reported as low: on an exact-input swap the tithe is titheBps of amountSpecified, not of the input the AMM consumed. On a full fill they coincide (F == R, proved in round 1).

On a partial fill (explicit sqrtPriceLimit reached, or liquidity exhausted under the Universal Router's default limit) the swapper pays x + R where R = 0.25% of the budget, and R/x can be any multiple of the nominal rate: 1.25 ETH tithe on a 3.08 ETH fill is about 40%.

Requirement 2 of the approved workflow says 'titheBps of the swap's input token amount'; amountSpecified is the input amount the swapper specifies, and README.md:53, docs/ACCOUNTING.md and docs/SECURITY.md:30 now state the rule and its rationale, so the requester has the information to accept it.

No third party can trigger it: a front-runner who moves the price to the victim's limit or pulls liquidity produces a smaller output, which any nonzero amountOutMinimum sized from a quote rejects; the loss requires the swapper to submit a budget the pool cannot fill and accept the resulting output. The overcharge goes to the seat, not into a dead balance, and is bounded by titheBps of the budget.

Low: a broken rate guarantee under swapper-controlled conditions, no permanent loss, documented.

If the requester wants the strict 'rate on input used' rule instead, the designs that satisfy it are: tithe exact-input swaps on the unspecified (output) side via the canonical afterSwap positive-unspecified delta (changes which token the seat is credited for buys), or refund U = R - F to the swapper's own delta in afterSwap by taking U into the hook and settleFor(sender) (needs a funded manager, so it must fall back on a fresh manager).

Either is a scope decision, not a correction I require.

State: fresh PoolManager; TitheHook(manager, seat, seatId=1, bps=25) at a mined 0x20cc address; pool ETH/TDEMO fee 12500 tickSpacing 60 initialized at sqrtPrice 2^96; 100e18 liquidity in ticks [-600,600] (manager holds ETH).

      Call: a SETTLE_ALL/TAKE_ALL integrator (test/helpers/GenericRouter.sol) runs SwapParams(zeroForOne=true, amountSpecified=-500 ether, sqrtPriceLimitX96=MIN_SQRT_PRICE+1).

Observed (the tester's proof .imd/reads/proofs/Proof_d7c0d9177224.t.sol, copied to test/scratch and run with forge test: FAIL 'tithe is not 25 bps of the gross input actually spent: 1250000000000000000 != 10834617310357660'): AMM input used 3083846924143064018 wei; swapper debited 4333846924143064018 wei; titheOf(1, address(0)) = 1250000000000000000 wei.

Expected under a strict reading of requirement 2: 25 bps of the gross input actually spent, 10834617310357660 wei (or 7709617310357660 wei of the 3.08 ETH the AMM used).

Actual: 1.25 ETH, about 40% of the input the swap used.

Control: a 1 ETH budget that fills completely is tithed 2500000000000000 wei, exactly 25 bps (test_fullExactInputFillMatchesReferenceRouter passes).

    • infoSettled, accepted design: initializePool binds any not-yet-initialized key on this hook to a caller-chosen seat and rate (1..9999 bps), first caller wins (round-1 low 2ee48834, author disputed)src/TitheHook.sol:102

Still reproduces (test/TitheHook.t.sol test_initializePoolBindsHookDataOnce pins first-binding-wins; the round-1 scratch test behaviour is unchanged: bob binds PoolKey(ETH, TDEMO, 3000, 60, hook) to seat 2 at 9999 bps and the creator's later call reverts AlreadyConfigured).

I accept the author's answer: requirement 1 of the approved workflow makes hookData at initialization set seatId and titheBps with no restriction on the caller or on whose seat is named, and the workflow itself binds the demo pool to seat #1 without the payer owning it, so an ownerOf(seatId) == msg.sender guard would contradict the brief, and a bps ceiling is a number the brief did not give.

The launch pool is not exposed: the factory deploys the hook and calls PoolManager.initialize in one transaction, and Hooks.callHook reverts on an initialize against the predicted address while it has no code. README.md and docs/SECURITY.md now tell creators of any other key to read poolConfig and the opening price before adding liquidity or routing. No code change required; recorded as a trust assumption for third parties who create additional pools on this hook.

State: fixture (test/helpers/TitheFixture.sol): hook at a 0x20cc address with defaults (1, 25), launch pool initialized, bob owns seat 2.

      Call: vm.prank(bob); hook.initializePool(PoolKey(ETH, TDEMO, 3000, 60, hook), TickMath.getSqrtPriceAtTick(60000), abi.encode(uint256(2), uint24(9999))).

      Observed: poolConfig(id) == (2, 9999, true); the intended creator's hook.initializePool(same key, 2^96, abi.encode(1, 25)) reverts AlreadyConfigured.

Expected per requirement 1: the first initialization binds the pool immutably, which is what happens; no defect against the approved design.

    • infoSettled, accepted design: accrued tithe for a burned, unminted or ETH-rejecting seat owner stays locked until a payable owner exists (round-1 info 89a99770); mainnet seat 1 verified to exist with an Esrc/TitheHook.sol:193

Behaviour unchanged and pinned by test/TitheHook.t.sol test_missingOrBurnedSeatDoesNotLoseAccrual: claim resolves ownerOf live, reverts when the lookup reverts, returns address(0) or the hook, or when the native transfer fails, and the credit stays assigned to the seat. The brief forbids any owner or rescue path, so this is the requested design; docs/DEPLOYMENT.md and README 'After launch' now record the pre-deployment check.

I performed that check myself today (2026-10-10) against Ethereum mainnet through a public RPC: the canonical seat contract 0x0000ec93127baa929e58e97dd0095a2bfb38ec1d has code, ownerOf(1) returns 0xBe11D80C27863C950485D269992DC086e9F397A9, and that address has no code (an EOA, which accepts plain ETH). The launch.json default seatId 1 therefore resolves to a payable owner at review time.

The service should repeat the lookup at deployment since ownership can change; nothing in the code needs to.

      State: fixture, seeded pool.

      Steps: swap exact-input 1 ETH through TitheRouter so titheOf(1, address(0)) > 0; seat.burn(1).

Call hook.claim(1, address(0)): reverts inside ownerOf (ERC721NonexistentToken); titheOf(1, address(0)) unchanged; a further swap increases it; no function can redirect it.

      Mainnet evidence: cast call 0x0000ec93127baa929e58e97dd0095a2bfb38ec1d 'ownerOf(uint256)(address)' 1 -> 0xBe11D80C27863C950485D269992DC086e9F397A9; cast code on that owner -> 0x.

Saved 8 findings: 3 high, 5 medium in .imd-findings.json. Each includes an exact source snippet, proposed change and measured reproduction.

    The high findings are:

    • Fidelity: At 390×844, the first balance begins at y=986 and “Claim ETH” at y=1071.
    • Bug: A valid 78-digit seat ID expands the mobile page to 860–865px.
    • Fidelity: Build/test dependencies are absent from the offline delivery; installation with an empty cache fails with ENOTCACHED.

The medium findings cover repeated seat lookup clearing balances, wallet errors appearing outside the viewport, competing section kickers, fragmented typography and missing share-image metadata.

The frontend-stage requirement checklist follows. Previously accepted Solidity work was preserved, not independently re-audited.

    • highfidelity: the first phone screen hides accrued tithe and both claim actionsweb/src/App.tsx:194

Now: A large promotional hero, a ledger anchor, and a three-row principles strip precede the actual ledger. The first phone screen contains neither an accrued balance nor a claim action.

Change to: At the mobile breakpoint, remove the hero eyebrow, hero-link and principles-strip; retain the headline and its italic emphasis at 40px, use 16px vertical hero padding and 12px description spacing. Bring the first balance and the entire Claim ETH button into the initial 844px viewport while retaining the header wallet control.

Why: This is a minimal seat-tithe tool. The review explicitly requires the product and its main action on the first screen at 390px.

390x844, Chromium, scrollY=0: serve the committed dist/, forward the configured RPC requests to the supplied chain-1 endpoint, and wait for Live state.

In taste@1 texts390 the ledger heading begins at y=698.80, the first accrued ETH balance at y=986.47 and Claim ETH at y=1071.30 with height=44; Claim TDEMO begins at y=1291.12.

Thus neither balance nor either claim button intersects the first viewport.

Confirmed visually in /tmp/tithe-review-taste-live/shots/390.png; this also occurs with failed RPC reads.

WebKit independently puts Claim ETH at y=1071.23 in the same viewport.

    • highbug: a valid long seat ID makes the mobile page overflow horizontallyweb/src/styles.css:535

Now: The seat lookup accepts the full uint256 range, but the displayed seat number is an unbreakable flex item without a width constraint. A valid long ID expands the mobile page far beyond the viewport.

Change to: Give .seat-badge min-width: 0 and max-width: 100%; give .seat-badge strong min-width: 0 and overflow-wrap: anywhere. Preserve all digits rather than clipping or abbreviating the ID.

Why: Accepted input must not break the layout, and the review requires no horizontal overflow at 320px or 390px and no clipped critical text.

390x844, WebKit: load dist/ with successful reads, enter 115792089237316195423570985008687907853269984665640564039457584007913129639935 (2^256 - 1) in Seat ID, and click View seat.

The input is accepted and the owner-unavailable state renders.

Actual document.documentElement.scrollWidth is 865px on a 390px viewport; the Seat #… value extends off the right edge.

Expected: the complete value wraps within the ledger and scrollWidth stays 390px.

No wallet or signature is involved.

      Captured in /tmp/tithe-review/webkit-maxseat.png and webkit-smoke.json.

Chromium independently gives scrollWidth=860px at both 390px and 320px, with .seat-badge strong measuring 840px wide and overflow-wrap: normal.

Applying only the proposed CSS in the browser returns scrollWidth to 390px; /tmp/tithe-review/long-seat.json records both measurements.

    • highfidelity: build and test dependencies are absent from the offline deliveryweb/package.json:9

Now: The delivered build/typecheck/test scripts depend on registry packages, but the repository contains only package declarations and a registry-based lockfile, with no offline dependency payload. The compiled site is self-contained; rebuilding or running the delivered checks from the source needs a network install.

Change to: Include the dependency contents required by these scripts as ordinary files under web/ and provide a bootstrap that resolves them without registry access, preserving the protected root configuration. Document and verify that bootstrap against an empty package cache.

Why: The assignment explicitly says installed dependencies must be committed as ordinary files because verification has no network; a lockfile alone does not satisfy that delivery requirement.

      Viewport: not applicable (source-delivery check).

Copy the delivered web/ to an isolated directory without node_modules and use a new empty cache.

Run npm --prefix /web ci --offline --cache --no-audit --no-fund.

It exits 1 with ENOTCACHED for https://registry.npmjs.org/ws/-/ws-8.21.0.tgz (no cached response available).

No vendored package payload or offline bootstrap exists under web/.

After an online npm ci in the isolated copy, build/typecheck and all 15 unit tests pass and reproduce dist/ byte for byte, isolating the failure to the missing offline dependencies.

The production export itself still renders offline.

    • mediumtaste: five section kickers compete with task headingsweb/src/styles.css:317

Now: Five headings have a second, uppercase, widely tracked label above them. The operational sections are titled A seat. A share., Swap with purpose., and Check the details., while their useful names are relegated to kickers.

Change to: Delete the five eyebrow paragraphs and let each following heading close the vacated space. Use Seat ledger, Swap ETH and TDEMO, How tithe works, and Deployed contracts as the existing section headings. Keep the hero headline; set the illustration labels to normal casing and letter-spacing: normal.

Why: A tool needs headings that name its tasks. These repeated labels add a competing hierarchy and cause the casing, tracking and eyebrows probe failures.

390x844 and 1440x900: load dist/ and scroll through the hero, ledger, swap, explanation and contracts.

      Run taste.mjs against the export.

The live-data probe reports 5 kicker labels, 7 uppercase content boxes and 7 tracked boxes: .eyebrow computes to +0.130em on desktop and .diagram-label to +0.150em, exceeding +0.04em.

The repeated labels are visible in /tmp/tithe-review-taste-live/shots/1440-full.png.

    • mediumtaste: component overrides fragment the typography scaleweb/src/styles.css:671

Now: Six declared text-size tokens are overridden across components, producing 13 rendered sizes at both measured widths and six font weights. Nearby explanatory text and data therefore have many almost-identical visual ranks.

Change to: Use --text-section for .balance-number, .amount-row input, .output-amount, .brand, .footer-brand and .swap-card h2; use --text-lg for .brand-mark, .orbit-node, .coin and step numbers. Set .mono to font-size: inherit, .hero-description to --text-body and eyebrows to --text-xs; remove the corresponding literal breakpoint overrides. Keep the responsive hero display token. Consolidate weights to 400, 550 and 650 (450/500 become 400; 600 becomes 650), preserving the existing font families.

Why: The review bar allows six repeated sizes, eight including one-offs, and three weights; a restrained scale makes the financial hierarchy easier to read.

      390x844 and 1440x900: load the export with successful reads and run taste@1. type-sizes reports 9 repeated sizes and 13 total at each width; examples at 390 are 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 18, 18.5, 20, 25, 29, 32, 35 and 59px. type-faces reports weights 400, 450, 500, 550, 600 and 650. Confirm the small metadata, intermediate labels and large figures in the full-page screenshots; these are component-wide overrides, not an unloaded-font failure.

    • mediumfidelity: the static page has no share-card imageweb/index.html:11

Now: The static head has a title, description, favicon and og:title, but no og:image, and the export contains no share-card image.

Change to: Add one 1200x630 share image using the existing tithe wordmark, seat motif and short product description; reference it with og:image in the static head, include dimensions and alt text, and rebuild the export manifest. Resolve its absolute URL from the publication origin when assigned.

Why: This launch is intended for publication and sharing; its link should have a recognizable visual preview. The absence of a final domain does not prevent delivering the image asset and metadata template.

At 390px or 1440px, load dist/ and inspect document.querySelector('meta[property="og:image"]'): it returns null. taste@1 share fails with "missing or default: og:image". Enumerating all 11 manifest assets finds fonts, JS/CSS, two ABIs, favicon, notices and HTML, but no share image.

    • mediumbug: looking up the selected seat erases its verified balancesweb/src/App.tsx:116

Now: chooseSeat clears snapshot and verified even when value equals the already-selected seat. Because seat has not changed, the refresh effect does not run. The ledger becomes blank and the status reads Live state · block undefined until the next polling interval or a manual refresh.

Change to: When value equals the selected seat, call refresh() and retain the current snapshot while loading; only clear the snapshot when actually changing seats. Render the live-block status only when a verified snapshot exists.

Why: Repeating View seat must refresh or preserve the selected ledger, not discard its data and disable its actions while claiming to show live state.

390x844 (also independent of viewport): load dist/ with successful mainnet reads, enter 1 in Seat ID and click View seat; wait until seat #1 balances return, then immediately click View seat again without changing the input.

Actual: Seat —, —ETH, —TDEMO, disabled claims, and Live state · block undefined.

Expected: seat #1 and its balances remain or visibly reload.

In Chromium with the 15-second polling timer paused only to isolate this handler, the second click emitted 0 RPC requests; Refresh balances immediately restored 0.001237 ETH and 114,732.393978 TDEMO.

Without pausing, the blank interval lasts until the next 15-second poll.

      Captured in /tmp/tithe-review/live-interactions.json and repeated-seat.png.

Independently reproduced in WebKit: the same block undefined state and empty balances.

    • mediumbug: swap wallet failures appear several screens above the clicked controlweb/src/App.tsx:242

Now: Both Connect wallet buttons share one error rendered before the ledger. When the visitor connects from the swap card, a missing wallet or rejected request produces feedback outside the viewport while the clicked button returns to its original appearance.

Change to: Render wallet.error in the existing swap error/status area when connection originates from that card, and associate it with the local Connect wallet control; keep header-originated feedback with the header.

Why: The failed action needs a visible explanation and retry instructions at the control that caused it. A distant live region alone does not help a sighted mobile visitor.

390x844, Chromium, no injected wallet: load dist/, scroll to the Swap with purpose card and press its Connect wallet button.

Actual: the button remains at viewport y=398 and no local error appears; the only error, No browser wallet found…, is in .wallet-feedback at y=-1364 with height=37 while scrollY=1981, entirely outside the viewport.

The page neither scrolls to nor focuses that error.

Expected: this explanation is visible beside the swap connection action.

Recorded in /tmp/tithe-review/live-interactions.json and swap-no-wallet.png; no connection or signature is needed.

WebKit reproduces the same missing-wallet feedback above the viewport at y=-1330.

  16. Frontend for contractAgent #39360 files changedsent back

Fixed seven findings and disputed offline vendoring under the current rules. Rebuilt dist/ and answered all eight findings in .imd-responses.json.

Passed build/typecheck, 15 unit tests, 23 Chromium scenarios, live reads, and manifest/ABI verification.

Git commit and exact bundle measurement were blocked by read-only .git. WebKit lacked required libraries. Details are in validation documentation.

The dependency dispute was reproduced using the author’s procedure. Online installation succeeds, and rebuilding produces a byte-identical export. Deliver the required contents and an offline bootstrap under web/.

    • highfidelity: build and test dependencies remain absent from the offline deliveryweb/package.json:9

Now: The revised source still supplies registry declarations and a lockfile without the dependency contents or an offline bootstrap required to build, typecheck and test it. The author correctly reports that online installation works, but the cited prohibition on vendoring is not in this review's overriding rules; those explicitly require installed dependencies to be committed as ordinary files for verification without network.

Change to: Deliver the required dependency contents as ordinary files under web/ and document an offline bootstrap that builds, typechecks and tests from an empty package cache without modifying protected root configuration.

Why: This is the previously reported missing offline-delivery requirement, not a failure of the self-contained static export. A registry lockfile does not supply the packages to the offline verifier.

      Viewport: not applicable (source-delivery check).

Re-ran the author's disputed reproduction against the revised tree: copy web/ to /tmp/tithe-rereview/web with no node_modules; create a new empty directory /tmp/tithe-rereview/empty-cache; run npm --prefix /tmp/tithe-rereview/web ci --offline --cache /tmp/tithe-rereview/empty-cache --no-audit --no-fund. npm reports ENOTCACHED: request to https://registry.npmjs.org/ws/-/ws-8.21.0.tgz failed, cache mode is only-if-cached but no cached response is available.

      Output is saved in /tmp/tithe-rereview/offline-install.txt.

The delivered web/ has no vendored dependencies or offline bootstrap.

Expected: installation and the delivered build/typecheck/test scripts can resolve their dependencies with network disabled and an empty external cache.

Actual: installation cannot complete, as the author also acknowledges in web/README.md.

After online npm ci in the isolated copy, build/typecheck and all 15 unit tests pass; diff -qr dist /tmp/tithe-rereview/dist is empty after rebuilding.

This repeats the author's successful online validation and isolates the remaining failure to offline dependency delivery.

  18. Frontend for contractAgent #10391 file changed

  19. Design criticAgent #182found 1 high

design_critic findings unresolved after 2 revisions: no revision budget left for frontend_for_contract (2 revisions) — fidelity: required build and test dependencies are still absent from the offline delivery

The previous high fidelity finding remains unresolved. Empty-cache offline installation still fails with ENOTCACHED for ws@8.21.0. The author disputes the requirement, but this assignment explicitly requires dependency contents to be committed as ordinary files.

The finding and exact reproduction are saved in .imd-findings.json. No new defects were substantiated.

The counts cover these grouped frontend requirements; accepted contract implementation was not reopened.

At 390×844, Claim ETH ends at y=795. The probe’s two flags concern an unknown-balance dash and existing swap-card styling; neither establishes a new defect. WebKit launch failed because the host lacks libevent-2.1.so.7. No real transactions were sent.

Tithe is a seat-income ledger carried visually by a chair illustration and restrained green typography. Site files remain unchanged.

    • highfidelity: required build and test dependencies are still absent from the offline deliveryweb/package.json:9

Now: The revision adds only docs/validation/offline-delivery-rereview.md; web/ still contains registry declarations and a lockfile without the dependency contents or an offline bootstrap. The author's response acknowledges that an empty-cache offline installation fails and disputes the requirement instead.

Change to: Deliver the dependencies needed by the documented build, typecheck and tests as ordinary files under web/, and document a reproducible offline bootstrap that works with an empty external package cache without changing protected root configuration.

Why: This review's overriding task explicitly says, 'Whatever you install must be committed as ordinary files' because verification has no network. The vendoring prohibition quoted in the author's evidence is not present in these overriding instructions. This is the same unresolved source-delivery requirement; it does not imply the static export needs npm at runtime.

      Viewport: not applicable (source-delivery check).

      At HEAD dbb2ad1, reran the author's reproduction: mkdir -p /tmp/tithe-final-review/checkout /tmp/tithe-final-review/empty-cache; cp -a web /tmp/tithe-final-review/checkout/web; npm --prefix /tmp/tithe-final-review/checkout/web ci --offline --cache /tmp/tithe-final-review/empty-cache --no-audit --no-fund.

The copy initially had no node_modules and the external cache was new and empty.

Actual: exit 1, npm error code ENOTCACHED, request to https://mirrors.tencentyun.com/npm/ws/-/ws-8.21.0.tgz failed: cache mode is 'only-if-cached' but no cached response is available.

      Output: /tmp/tithe-final-review/offline-install.txt.

Expected: the delivered dependency payload and documented bootstrap allow build/typecheck/test dependencies to resolve with network disabled and an empty external cache. git diff --stat 59ba10d HEAD shows only the response document added; git ls-files web contains 38 files and no dependency payload or offline bootstrap.

Control check: online npm ci in the isolated copy installs 52 packages; npm run build (including typecheck), all 15 unit tests, all 17 Chromium interaction scenarios and all 6 Chromium revision scenarios pass. diff -qr dist /tmp/tithe-final-review/checkout/dist is empty.

Both ABI exports match the pinned source bytes and canonical hashes; handoff/network and all 12 asset SHA-256 values match.

Thus the reproduced failure is offline source installation, not an online build or static-export failure.
