Build WHEELY Overlay, a broadcaster toolkit for the Squeekchain live stream: a set of transparent browser-source widgets that an OBS or vMix operator drops straight onto the video feed, plus one integrity panel that independently checks the wheel telemetry. Nobody has built stream tooling yet; every existing Squeekchain site is a dashboard for viewers to open in a separate tab, so this must be designed for being composited over live video, not for being read on its own.

Data sources, all public, CORS-enabled, no API keys, polled every 5 seconds with the previous value kept on failure: GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/status gives measurement.coreStatus, measurement.rpmMilli, measurement.speedMmPerSecond, measurement.distanceMm, measurement.cumulativeWorkUnits, measurement.observedAt, measurement.staleAfterSeconds, measurement.counterEpoch, measurement.provenance, measurement.freshness, builder.anchor.blockHeight, builder.anchor.blockProgress (0 to 1e9), builder.anchor.workPerThousandBlocks, oracle.state, settlementQueue.state, signer.kind, signer.algorithm, signer.keySlot, signer.lastVerifiedAt, and modules[] with instanceId, moduleType, driverId and state. GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/core gives core.blockHeight, core.cumulativeWork, core.settledThroughRound, core.paused, configuration.roundDuration, configuration.genesisTimestamp and an events[] array of RoundRecorded and BatchSettled with blockNumber, transactionHash and blockTimestamp. GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/economy/state gives identities, supply and mining figures.

Deliver each widget as its own route under /overlay/, every one with a fully transparent background (html and body background transparent, no page chrome, no scrollbars) so it composites cleanly, sized for a 1920x1080 canvas but fluid, and configurable purely by URL query parameters so the operator never edits code: side=left|right, scale=0.5..2, theme=dark|light, accent=hex colour, hideWhenIdle=0|1. The widgets: (1) /overlay/ticker a slim lower-third strip showing RUNNING or ASLEEP, live rpm, rim speed in mm/s, block height and a block-progress bar driven by blockProgress/1e9, with a smooth count-up animation between polls instead of jumping; (2) /overlay/round a round timer derived from configuration.genesisTimestamp and roundDuration that counts down to the next round close and flashes when a RoundRecorded event for that round lands; (3) /overlay/alerts a toast strip that fires only on state transitions worth showing on camera: the hamster waking up or falling asleep, a new block completing, a BatchSettled landing, the oracle or settlement queue leaving the accepted or submitted state, and the measurement going stale past staleAfterSeconds; each toast auto-dismisses and never stacks more than three deep; (4) /overlay/integrity the integrity panel described below; (5) /overlay/commands a rotating cheatsheet of the stream game commands spin, use, merge, me and help, with the six hash families fire water earth air lightning star and the five tiers common uncommon rare epic legendary, so new viewers learn how to play without the host repeating it.

The integrity panel must do real work, not decoration. Keep a rolling in-browser log of each poll, then derive and display: wheel revolutions implied by the change in distanceMm against a rim circumference the operator sets with a circumferenceMm query parameter defaulting to 471; the work units added per implied revolution, so a constant ratio shows the counter and the chain agree; a plausibility verdict that flags any sample where cumulativeWorkUnits rises while rpmMilli is zero, where distanceMm rises faster than the reported rim speed allows for the elapsed time, where distanceMm or cumulativeWorkUnits ever decreases, or where counterEpoch changes (which means the hardware counter restarted and deltas across that boundary must be discarded rather than counted); a freshness clock showing the age of measurement.observedAt against staleAfterSeconds; and the attestation line naming signer.kind, signer.algorithm, signer.keySlot and the age of signer.lastVerifiedAt. State each verdict as OK, STALE or IMPLAUSIBLE with the exact numbers that produced it, never a bare colour.

Also ship a single /index.html control room for the operator: a live preview of every widget, the generated browser-source URL for each one with a copy button, width and height to paste into OBS, and a short setup note. Plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, no build step, no dependencies, no analytics, no tracking, no fonts fetched from third parties. Must hold up at 1280x720 and 1920x1080 and still be readable on a 360px phone for the control room page. Never block the page on a failed fetch: show the last known value with an explicit stale age. Include a README covering every query parameter, the exact OBS browser-source settings, the endpoints used, and the integrity checks with the formula behind each one.

Saved and validated .imd-findings.json. Website files were unchanged.

The bugs are an active-round label one behind the chain, and an exported poll log that reports 471 mm despite opening the control room with circumferenceMm=500. The low finding recommends plain settings and telemetry headings.

Every finding includes exact source snippets, proposed changes, and measured reproductions. Evidence below names source files under src/; these match dist/.

    • mediumbug: the round timer labels the active round one round behind the chainsrc/scripts/domain.js:83

Now: roundClock returns a zero-based round ID, but the public chain uses one-based round IDs. The timer presents an already settled round as still open, and watchedRounds uses the same incorrect IDs for RoundRecorded matching.

Change to: keep the zero-based interval index for close/progress arithmetic, return intervalIndex + 1 as the active round ID, and use that ID in watchedRounds. Update the zero-based README statement and fixtures to match the real API.

Why: the brief requires the countdown and its recorded-round flash to refer to the actual chain round; a broadcaster must not announce the previous round as still open.

      Width 1920x1080; open /overlay/round/.

      At 2026-10-31T03:48:59.697Z the live widget said 'Round #659 closes in' and '01:01', while /v1/economy/state lifecycle.currentRound was '660' and /v1/core core.settledThroughRound was '659'.

Expected: Round #660 closes in, with the same remaining time.

      Deterministic input: configuration.genesisTimestamp='1793022600', roundDuration='600', now=Date.parse('2026-10-31T03:38:05.122Z').

Calling roundClock with those values returns round=658 and close=03:40:00Z; expected round=659.

At that earlier observation the API reported currentRound='659', settledThroughRound='658', and RoundRecorded(658) at blockTimestamp='1793417436' (03:30:36Z), after its actual 03:30:00Z close.

The same event/close discrepancy was confirmed for rounds 657 and 656.

    • mediumbug: the poll-log export ignores circumference supplied in the control-room URLsrc/scripts/control.js:19

Now: the control room constructs its IntegrityLog with the 471 mm default before reading URL options. Initial circumferenceMm values reach the form and widget URLs but never the session log, so the exported evidence names a different circumference from the one the operator selected.

Change to: parse options first, then construct the control-room log with new IntegrityLog(options.circumferenceMm). Keep the existing update/reset handling.

Why: the operator configuration and the integrity evidence must agree; circumference is the divisor used to derive revolutions and work per revolution.

Width 1280x720; open /index.html?circumferenceMm=500, wait for a poll, and select Export poll log.

      Read the downloaded JSON.

Actual: the Rim circumference field is 500 and the integrity source URL contains circumferenceMm=500, but the export has circumferenceMm:471 (confirmed with one logged poll).

Expected: circumferenceMm:500 in the export as well.

The discrepancy persists until the field changes to another value because lastCircumference is already initialized to 500.

    • lowtaste: slogan copy obscures the settings and telemetry section namessrc/index.html:22

Now: this operator tool calls its settings Make it yours and its telemetry Behind the wheel, with Keep the camera rolling in the sidebar and Made for the moments between spins in the footer. The task-specific descriptions already explain these areas.

Change to: rename the two headings Widget settings and Telemetry checks. Delete the sidebar span containing Keep the camera rolling. and the footer span containing Made for the moments between spins. Keep the existing sidebar note and its automatic top margin; the note contracts by the removed line, and the remaining footer brand/setup link use the existing space-between layout.

Why: the supplied copy checklist requires tools to name the task in plain words and omit voice lines; operators scanning for configuration or diagnostic evidence should see those names directly.

      Width 1280x720; load /index.html.

The settings heading reads Make it yours, and the first-screen sidebar contains Keep the camera rolling.

Scroll to the telemetry section and footer: the heading is Behind the wheel and the footer says Made for the moments between spins.

At 390x844 the same two section headings remain, farther down the page.

Evidence: two task sections use figurative names and two standalone slogan spans add no operational instruction; the matching elements are src/index.html lines 22, 37, 48 and 49.
