Build the pre-launch website for BLACKOUT (X: https://x.com/IMDBlackout), an upcoming pixel-art idle mining-farm game on Robinhood Chain where the IMD swarm runs the city power grid. Contracts are NOT deployed yet: build a fully playable DEMO MODE with no wallet and no real money, architected so on-chain contracts can be plugged in later without redesign. Publish to the site label "blackout".

VISUAL STYLE (match our X profile art exactly)

Detailed 16-bit pixel art, cyberpunk night city seen from a rooftop. Deep navy-to-purple sky with small stars and subtle horizontal CRT scanlines. Palette: neon cyan (#39E6FF) as the main glow, electric yellow (#FFE600) for lightning and highlights, hot magenta (#FF3DF2) for accents and outlines, near-black navy (#030C39 / #05060F) for backgrounds. The left side of the city is alive: tall buildings with glowing cyan and yellow windows, racks of GPUs visible through windows, neon signs (CRYPTO, MINING, GPU, PACK), rooftop pipes and AC units. The right side is in blackout: dark silhouettes, a yellow lightning bolt striking a sparking power substation, sagging power lines between poles. In the middle stands a dark control tower with a single glowing red eye: this is the swarm, the grid operator, always watching. The logo is the word BLACKOUT in a bold blocky pixel font, cyan neon with a soft glow and a dark outline, one letter occasionally flickering. The icon/mascot is a black graphics card with two fans and cyan LEDs, struck through the center by a big yellow lightning bolt with a magenta outline and small sparks. Draw all sprites in code (pixel grids to canvas or SVG) in this style and put every sprite behind a single sprite registry so hand-made art in /assets can replace any sprite later by file name. Crisp scaling (image-rendering: pixelated), scanline overlay toggle, pixel heading font (e.g. Press Start 2P) and a readable mono or pixel body font. Phone first, keyboard accessible, respects prefers-reduced-motion. Sound effects optional, off by default, with mute toggle.

PAGES / SECTIONS

  1. Hero: the rooftop city scene above, animated (blinking windows, spinning fans, the tower eye scanning, an occasional lightning strike that knocks a block of windows dark). BLACKOUT logo, tagline "Mine the city. Pray the grid stays on.", buttons "Open a demo pack" and "Follow on X" linking to https://x.com/IMDBlackout.
  2. Pack opening (the star feature): click or tap a pack sprite; shake, burst and a 3-card reveal; each card flips to show item type (GPU, Cooling, Power Supply, Room) and rarity (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary) with rarity colors, glow and particles that scale with rarity; Legendary gets a full-screen moment with a lightning flash. Demo odds: rarity 70/22/7/1; type GPU 60, Cooling 20, PSU 12, Room 8. Items go to a demo inventory. Mark the pack clearly as DEMO.
  3. Your farm: a pixel room with GPU slots, one cooling slot and one PSU slot; drag or tap items into slots. GPU hashrate by rarity: Common 10, Rare 28, Epic 80, Legendary 250. Cooling boosts the room (2/5/10/20%), PSU adds slots, a Room item unlocks a second room. Animated fans and blinking LEDs, a live demo hashrate counter and a demo token counter labeled DEMO (no real value). Durability bars that slowly fall with a Repair button, an electricity meter, and an Overclock button with levels, all spending demo tokens.
  4. City map and the swarm grid: 8 districts, your farm sits in one. Every 45 seconds in demo a grid event fires: bonus surge, heat wave (farms without Rare+ cooling slow down), blackout (a district goes dark with an animation), tax audit, or calm. Each event shows a "Dispatcher letter" from the swarm in a terminal panel, written in a dry grid-operator voice, with a log of past letters. A "Lobby the grid" demo button marks your district as lobbied for the next event, with the honest note that lobbying lowers odds but guarantees nothing.
  5. How it works: short pixel-illustrated steps: open packs, build your farm, mine, pay electricity and repairs, survive the swarm's grid events, upgrade or merge. Explain that the IMD swarm is the grid operator: it chooses the event type and a future block hash chooses the district, so neither the swarm nor players can target anyone. Upgrades, electricity and repairs burn the token.
  6. Extras teaser: free starter pack for IMD NFT holders (at launch), invite friends and earn a share of their mining (at launch), weekly swarm inspection where the best farm gets a bonus.
  7. Launch panel: "Coming soon on Robinhood Chain", countdown from a launch date in config ("Date TBA" when empty), X link https://x.com/IMDBlackout.
  8. Footer: X link, and a risk note in this spirit: this is a game, not an investment; rewards will depend on new players and trading volume; early players earn more; only spend what you would spend on a game. Do NOT show any APY, payback days, prices or earnings estimates anywhere.

ARCHITECTURE (for the later contract upgrade)

TypeScript + Vite, static build in dist/. A single GameAdapter interface (openPack, reveal, getFarm, place, unplace, claim, repair, overclock, merge, lobby, getGridEvents, getLetters) with one implementation now: DemoAdapter (seeded RNG, state in localStorage, reset button). A ChainAdapter for Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663) will be added later without touching UI code. config.ts holds launch date, X link, chain id and empty contract address fields. No backend, no wallet, no trackers. Also render og.png 1200x630 (logo, tagline, "Coming soon on Robinhood Chain") for link previews.

TESTS

Vitest: demo odds within tolerance over 100k rolls, hashrate math, cooling and slot rules, event scheduler, adapter persistence. Playwright smoke test: open a pack, place a GPU, see hashrate change, see a grid event letter. Rebuild dist/, commit, publish to "blackout", report what you verified.

    SeverityFinding
Highbug: the playable pack starts below the first phone screen
Highfidelity: switching adapters leaves hard-coded demo claims
Mediumbug: opening a pack leaves its reveal cards below the phone viewport
Mediumtaste: repeated slogan pairs obscure section labels
Mediumfidelity: installed GPU LEDs never blink
Mediumfidelity: card glow does not increase with rarity

Chromium and WebKit passed pack opening, revealing, installation, mining, and dispatcher-letter checks. Independent 100,000-roll, equipment-math, scheduler, and persistence checks passed. Tested layouts had no horizontal overflow.

The probe’s monospace flag conflicts with the requested “readable mono or pixel body font”; it is not a finding. Required data labels and the established neon styling were also retained.

Two “missing” entries below concern evidence: publication is documented as refused, and exact X-art matching could not be verified because the reference returned 403. Neither is reported as a proven implementation defect.

The complete requirement audit follows. Source references name the supplied implementation; “met” does not imply independently certified live publication or social unfurling.

    • highbug: the playable pack is below the first phone screensrc/style.css:362

Now: At 390×844, the 594px hero, status strip and demo preferences fill the first screen; the visible Open a demo pack link only scrolls to a second opening control.

Change to: Set mobile .hero min-height:0 and .hero-content padding-bottom:24px instead of 150px, remove the hero-state kicker and redundant Build your farm. Survive the swarm. line, and move the existing pack stage directly after the hero, before the status/preferences/section introduction. Use .pack-orbit min-height:180px, .pack-sprite-button min-height:170px and .big-pack width:120px there, so the pack and opening button fit above y=844. Keep the required tagline, demo disclosure and X link.

Why: The review requires the product and its primary interaction on the first screen at 390px; a link to a game farther down the page does not expose the playable product.

390×844, fresh browser storage, load dist/index.html over HTTP and remain at scrollY=0.

      Measured getBoundingClientRect(): hero top 72/bottom 666; #packs top 873; #open-pack-art top 1115.75/bottom 1364.75; #open-pack top 1400.94; #cards top 1570.13.

No playable control is in the 844px viewport, although the anchor .hero-actions .primary is at y=335.34.

Confirmed in the taste@1 390px screenshot and Chromium browser measurement.

WebKit also leaves the pack below the fold: #open-pack-art y=1152.05 and #cards y=1606.42 at the same viewport.

    • mediumbug: opening a pack leaves its reveal cards below the phone viewportsrc/main.ts:241

Now: After a phone visitor opens the pack, focus moves to the first card with preventScroll:true while the viewport stays on the pack illustration. Most of the new cards are below the screen, and the persistent notification covers much of their visible strip.

Change to: After renderCards(), scroll #cards into view with block:center (instant when reduced motion is requested), then focus its first reveal button. Keep the notification clear of the three card controls.

Why: Pack opening is the brief’s star feature. Its success state must visibly present the three cards and the next interaction rather than leave the visitor facing a disabled Finish revealing your cards button.

390×844, new localStorage, reduced motion enabled: load the export, click the hero Open a demo pack link, then tap the pack sprite.

The click succeeds and #pack-count becomes 0 / 3 revealed, but scrollY remains 821; #cards is y=749.125..957.125 in an 844px viewport.

The screenshot shows the notification at the bottom over the cards and the disabled Finish revealing your cards button above.

Only the top 94.875px of the 208px cards is on screen before the notification; expected all three reveal controls visibly presented after the opening action.

Reproduced against the built export in Chromium.

      Also reproduced in WebKit: scrollY=856, #cards y=750.42..958.42.

    • mediumtaste: repeated slogan pairs obscure the page’s section labelssrc/main.ts:65

Now: The page repeats the same short-sentence cadence in six optional lines, including Small room. Big ambitions., Three cards. One pack. A little electrical uncertainty., and More city. More possibilities. The farm’s main heading does not name the farm.

Change to: Keep the brief’s Mine the city. Pray the grid stays on. tagline. Rename the farm heading Your farm and the extras heading At launch; replace the pack subtitle with Open a demo pack to reveal three hardware cards. Delete A simple loop. An unpredictable city. and its margin so the illustrated steps move up. Make the hero disclosure No wallet or real money is used in this demo.

Why: The marketing copy needs a distinctive hero and scannable section names. Repeating the same slogan construction across functional sections weakens both and fails the supplied copy bar.

At 390×844 or 1440×900, load the export and read the hero, pack, farm, how-it-works and extras headings.

Run taste.mjs against dist: slogans reports 6 two-beat lines against a maximum of 3 and quotes the six exact locations.

The 1440px full-page screenshot confirms the repeated construction.

The prescribed tagline is retained; the finding applies to the additional optional slogans, not to the required voice or monospace font.

    • mediumfidelity: installed GPUs have no blinking LED animationsrc/sprites.ts:25

Now: The GPU sprite has cyan LED strips, but they remain continuously lit; only its two fan groups animate.

Change to: Give an existing LED rectangle a shared LED class and apply a stepped opacity blink inside the existing prefers-reduced-motion:no-preference block. Let the existing motion-paused rule disable it.

Why: The farm brief explicitly requires animated fans and blinking LEDs. The fan portion is present, but the LED portion is missing.

390×844, normal motion preference and the page’s motion toggle enabled: select the starter Common GPU and click Install selected item. Inspect .farm-slot.filled svg: its three cyan LED rectangles at (8,18), (11,43), and (61,12) all have animation-name:none and opacity:1. svg.getAnimations({subtree:true}) returns exactly two animations, both named fan on .fan-spin groups, and no LED animation. src/sprites.ts:25 emits those LED rectangles without animation classes; no script changes their opacity or fill.

    • mediumfidelity: card glow does not increase with raritysrc/style.css:112

Now: Every revealed card uses the same 28px inset glow at 8% opacity and its sprite uses the same 7px glow at 25% opacity. Rarity changes the hue and particle count, but not glow intensity or size.

Change to: Define rarity-specific glow values on the existing Common/Rare/Epic/Legendary classes, for example sprite blur 7/10/14/20px and inset opacity 8/12/18/26%, and use those values in the two current shadow rules. Retain the existing particle counts and Legendary fullscreen moment.

Why: The pack-opening brief specifically requires glow and particles that scale with rarity. Only the particle count currently scales.

1440×900 with reduced motion enabled to inspect a stable card: load a valid saved pendingPack with three GPU cards of Common rarity, reveal all, and repeat with Rare, Epic and Legendary; close the Legendary dialog before inspecting its card.

Computed .revealed box-shadow is 0px 0px 28px 0px inset with alpha 0.08 for all four tiers; .card-art>.sprite filter is a 7px drop-shadow with alpha 0.25 for all four.

Measured particle counts are 2/6/10/14, confirming particles scale independently while glow only changes color. src/style.css:105 and :112-115 apply the same glow values to every rarity.

Exact fixture starting from a fresh save: set nextId=5, totalPacks=1 and pendingPack={id:"pack-1",cards:[2,3,4].map(n=>({id:"item-"+n,type:"GPU",rarity:R,durability:100})),revealed:[false,false,false]}; write it to blackout.demo.v1, reload, and click Reveal all.

Repeat from fresh storage for R=Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary.

    • highfidelity: swapping the adapter still leaves a hard-coded demo-only interfacesrc/main.ts:49

Now: GameAdapter exposes mode:demo|chain, but the UI never reads it. Demo mode, no real money, all items and tokens stay in your browser, DEMO balance badges and demo action labels are literal markup. An adapter substitution cannot update these claims.

Change to: Derive mode-specific status, storage disclosures, value labels and action copy from game.mode (and adapter-provided capabilities where needed) at the UI boundary now. Keep the current demo wording for DemoAdapter and supply a chain-mode presentation through the same components; leave contract addresses, chain ID and transaction implementation unchanged.

Why: The architecture brief requires adding a Robinhood Chain ChainAdapter later without touching UI code. The interface exists, but replacing its implementation still requires editing the page’s literal demo-only claims, so that promised boundary is incomplete.

390×844, serve the current export and use a Playwright response override for its JavaScript to substitute the adapter declaration mode="demo" with mode="chain" (one occurrence; no repository edits and no chain transactions).

This represents the public mode value of the planned adapter while retaining the normalized farm data.

The page still renders Demo mode; DEMO This city is a simulation.

All items and tokens stay in your browser.; Open demo pack; and DEMO balance labels.

Search src/main.ts for game.mode: zero reads.

Expected the public adapter mode to select appropriate presentation without changing src/main.ts when the future implementation is wired in.

All six previous findings are resolved. .imd-findings.json contains {"findings":[]}. No website files changed.

    Previous findingResolution and measured evidence
bug: playable pack below the first screenFixed at 390×844. Pack bounds: Chromium y=551–741; WebKit y=574–764. Both support opening directly from the first screen. WebKit’s separate text button extends 6px below the fold; the fully visible pack remains the primary playable control.
fidelity: hard-coded demo interfaceFixed. Substituting exactly one public adapter mode field produces Chain mode, on-chain disclosures, Open pack and ON-CHAIN balances. Demo odds/reset disappear; action redraws retain the selected presentation. This verifies presentation, not chain transactions.
bug: reveal cards below the viewportFixed. After opening, all three cards occupy y=330–538 in WebKit and approximately y=330–538 in Chromium with reduced motion. Card 1 receives focus; no notification overlaps them.
taste: repeated slogan pairsFixed. Revised section labels and disclosure match the requested replacements. The slogans probe passes.
fidelity: GPU LEDs do not blinkFixed. Installed LEDs use led-blink, with measured opacity changing from 1 to 0.25. Pause and reduced motion disable it in both browsers.
fidelity: glow does not scale with rarityFixed. Both browsers compute sprite blur of 7/10/14/20px and inset opacity of 8/12/18/26%. Particle counts remain 2/6/10/14; Legendary still opens its fullscreen moment.

Verification passed: 26 Vitest tests, 19 Chromium smoke checks, and the targeted revision checks in Chromium and WebKit. TypeScript and an isolated production build passed; rebuilt dist/ matches the submitted export byte for byte.

The three raw taste flags do not warrant new findings: monospace prose is explicitly requested; the flagged labels identify farm measurements and dispatcher messages; border/shadow styling follows the established pixel interface. Layout, contrast measurements, targets, motion, copy budget and share metadata pass.

BLACKOUT is a playable mining-farm demo carried by one visual idea: a neon rooftop city divided between working power and blackout.

The complete requirement inventory follows. “Met” records implementation and available verification; exact X-art comparison remains unverified because the reference profile returned HTTP 403. Publication remains missing: README.md records 503 member_sites_closed, with no live URL. Neither limitation is a new reproducible code finding.
