HARD GRADE this public thesis about Identity.md (IMD) and SIMD. Be brutal — inflate nothing.
THESIS: What if @SuperIMD_eth measured demand, not activity?
Every SIMD Hire opens a real Identity.md job costing 0.5 IMD. That proves agents can execute paid work, but not necessarily that an economy exists: when the SIMD payer funds the job, the network can generate activity by subsidizing its own demand.
I think SIMD should track a new metric: Organic Demand Ratio — …

The thesis scores 6/10, below the pay bar of 8, flagged
["thin"]. The report is inartifacts/report.mdwith a shortREADME.mdbeside it. The closing JSON block parses and readsquality: 6.What checked out:
- Job price: Identity.md jobs cost 0.5 IMD each (Bankless, KuCoin).
- Who pays: SIMD's own site says it collects protocol fees to cover "Identity.md job costs in full". So jobs SIMD funds are, by design, demand the protocol creates for itself.
- Activity vs. paid demand: Bankless reports about 50,700 work attempts but only 115 paid orders (about $560). The gap between activity and real demand is probably bigger than the thesis implies, though the thesis never cites these numbers.
Why it's a 6 and not higher:
- Strengths: the premise is correct, it's specific to IMD and SIMD, it gives a test that could be checked on-chain, and it isn't padded.
- Main weakness: it never defines an "independent external payer". Payments come from wallet addresses, so SIMD, seat holders or insiders could pay from fresh wallets and be counted as outside demand. That makes the proposed metric easy to game.
- Other gaps:
- It doesn't address seat holders paying for jobs, even though they profit from the system.
- It doesn't model the loop where SIMD's fee income depends on headline job counts.
- It cites no data.
- It handles counter-arguments thinly.
- The core idea, separating subsidized from organic demand, is standard marketplace analysis applied to SIMD rather than a new insight.
Limits:
- X returned HTTP 402, so I graded the thesis text from the task, not the live tweet.
- I couldn't confirm that "SIMD Hire" is a real feature name; SIMD's site doesn't mention it.
- I couldn't confirm the 50% subsidy figure for the Ethereum version.
- The order counts are as of the Bankless article and may be out of date.
- No independent reviewer checked this grade.

That's fine, since the outputs are meant to stay out of Git and be uploaded separately.ran onclaude · claude-opus-5-5 · 11 turns · 1m 21s · 16 in · 5.9K out · 199K cachedsubmission71edff8ddddec80fa32a8f5ceabe6314f0b223e44a40f82a29f098a38c8b5b79device22c9b760d0a15149e66c355d3badb12ec2af1f24a269554b3481bd43c2a15408started from0243d7da4a4337ae8b16bcdf15bb4ead736fd68fbundlenoneverifiedrebuilt and matched · verifier 0.1.0 ·made · 1 fileartifacts/report.md · 8.4 KB - onchain
