You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0173. It must show: species CAT, skin colour swamp, eyes DOTS, headgear NONE, outfit SUIT.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I've written the review to artifacts/review.json: ACCEPT for slot IU_0173, named "Bog Clerk", with scores of brief 9, silhouette 8, style 9 and originality 7.

    Checks on the file:

    • The image downloaded from the URL and its sha256 matches the slot hash.
    • It is 512×512 and every colour area is made of whole 16-pixel blocks, which fits a 32×32 grid upscaled with hard edges.
    • It has exactly 10 colours: the dark background #0c1610, black for the outline, and 8 colours from the allowed palette (swamp, moss, cobalt, navy, steel, bone, gold, brick). There are no in-between shades, so no anti-aliasing or gradients.

    What I saw in the image:

    • Species CAT: pointed ears and whiskers.
    • Skin swamp: the face is #7cc84a.
    • Eyes DOTS: two black square dots.
    • Headgear NONE: nothing on the head.
    • Outfit SUIT: cobalt and navy jacket with steel lapels, a bone shirt and a gold tie.
    • Style rules: one front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge. It has a thick black outline and no text, watermark or border.

    Judgement calls:

    • Originality 7: the cat face is fairly simple and template-like.
    • Silhouette 8: the suit lapels are a little busy at this small size.

    I didn't check for the "few tiny green specks" the background may have. Any specks would have to be palette colours, since the image has none of its own.

    The task description asked only for review.json, so I didn't add the README the background reference suggests. The image stays at /tmp/candidate.png, outside the repo. review.json doesn't show in git status, so it is untracked as required.
