Combine what other seats found into one better strategy block for each kind of market, to take this network from 3rd toward 1st on Paradigm's Prediction Market challenge. It stands at 107.58; first is 109.93.

The challenge: a Python class quotes passive limit orders on one simulated binary market and is scored by its mean edge over 200 simulations. Simulator and rules: https://github.com/danrobinson/prediction-market-challenge

The base is a public JSON file whose "code" is the strategy: https://api.imd.fun/artifacts/41fa8829432f502a00c5302c0e2200b475c5c2e100a2a16b086aaab0ce62a395

It reads the rival market maker's spread at the first step as self.s, 1 to 4 ticks. Paradigm's 200 runs gave it 106.804593. Its parent, for checking a scorer: https://api.imd.fun/artifacts/40497298132dcc0ccc9f4c0672031c7eaae00ddcf8cf24983db989feeb3c5ca0

Two rounds of seats each changed the base only in runs of one spread. The network's operator entered the best file for each spread on Paradigm, so those four blocks are priced on its 200 runs:

Gains in the same spread do not add. Other seats found more pieces for each spread, each a file of its own built on the base. Two pieces may do the same thing twice, or fight. This round turns the pieces for one spread into one block that beats the priced one.

What Paradigm's runs taught. A gain on unseen runs is not a gain there: one file gained 0.95 a run on 2,035 unseen runs and lost 0.73 on Paradigm's. So each combined block is entered and priced before it is trusted.

Rules. Whatever a file adds must do nothing unless self.s is its spread, so runs of the other three spreads come out the same, run by run. A run's spread is fixed by its seed: sample_config(ChallengeConfig(), ParameterVariance(), seed=N).competitor.spread_ticks, in orderbook_pm_challenge/runner.py. Choose on the seeds of your spread among 20000 to 27999 and confirm on those among 80000 to 87999; earlier seats used 8000 to 15999 and 60000 to 67999, so leave those. Do not tune constants and do not make the strategy recognise particular seeds. Files are entered by the operator, by hand: do not look for a key.

    1. c1-allAgent #33About 1,000 simulations in the confirming batch are complete. This batch scores the base, priced strategy, and frozen combination on the same 2,053 spread-1 seeds.Plotting a course…
      1. The last choosing test is about 40% complete. It suppresses the supplied bulk inventory bids at ticks 2–5 before the existing short-horizon coverage rule, so that coverage rule can still add bids.
      2. The bulk-bid test is past halfway. The retained file still contains flow, bid lead, q1-ahead, and life retention. There’s one remaining keep/drop decision before freezing the strategy.
      3. The final choosing test is nearing completion. I’ll compare its retained winner with priced plus bid lead, then freeze the better file before starting any confirming runs.
      4. The bulk-bid rule gained **0.33202 ± 0.20968**, so it stays. The file is now frozen with all five pieces. On choosing seeds it beat priced by **3.04738 per spread-1 run**, and priced plus bid lead by **2.34938**. The 2,053-run confirming comparison has started.
      5. The frozen code is **25,747 bytes**, below the 50,000-byte limit, and its hash is recorded. Confirming runs are underway. I’ll use their paired result to choose between this file and the required priced fallback.
      6. About 1,000 simulations in the confirming batch are complete. This batch scores the base, priced strategy, and frozen combination on the same 2,053 spread-1 seeds.
    2. c4-pairsAgent #1867The confirmation batch is about 80% complete and remains failure-free. Once it finishes, I’ll apply the specified gain check against priced and proceed with the cross-spread equality and runtime checks.Orchestrating…
      1. The fourth-piece batch is in its final evaluations, with no failures recorded. The selected code will be hashed and frozen before any confirming scores are calculated.
      2. The frozen winner is **priced flow + smaller bids + ask rule + middle-price ask sizing**. It gained **+1.226 ± 0.180** over priced on the choosing set, with zero failures. The code is now frozen, and confirmation has started on all 1,972 eligible spread-4 seeds.
      3. Confirmation is underway with no failures so far. Middle-price ask sizing was the strongest measured fourth addition at **+0.390** over the triple; queue retention and bid splitting added **+0.297** and **+0.281**, respectively. No strategy edits are planned during confirmation.
      4. About 40% of the confirmation evaluations are complete, with zero failures across the frozen candidate, base, and priced block. The final metrics will use the complete paired set.
      5. Confirmation has passed 60% with no failures. The frozen file’s hash is recorded; the later isolation and timing checks will verify that they use the same code.
      6. The confirmation batch is about 80% complete and remains failure-free. Once it finishes, I’ll apply the specified gain check against priced and proceed with the cross-spread equality and runtime checks.
    3. c2-queueAgent #1931The bid-sizing comparison has completed 480 of 995 choosing runs. After the bid-lead test, I’ll freeze the combined file; confirmation will then decide whether to return it or the priced stock block.Conjuring…
      1. Stock rule: roughly 685 of 995 paired runs are complete, with no failures so far.
      2. Stock rule: roughly 765 of 995 paired runs are complete. I’ll make the retain/reject decision at 995, then test bid sizing against the chosen predecessor.
      3. Stock rule: roughly 885 of 995 paired runs are complete, with no failures so far. Bid sizing and bid lead are the remaining choosing tests.
      4. The stock rule passed the full 995-run comparison: **+0.44913139023748744** mean edge over the queue file, with standard error **0.26353360832830547** and zero failures. It improved both retail and arbitrage edge, so I’m retaining it. The bid-sizing comparison has started.
      5. The bid-sizing test has completed 240 of 995 choosing runs. The stock rule is retained; the bid rule is still undecided. No confirming scores have been examined.
      6. The bid-sizing comparison has completed 480 of 995 choosing runs. After the bid-lead test, I’ll freeze the combined file; confirmation will then decide whether to return it or the priced stock block.
    4. c4-bidsAgent #110The scorer reproduced the reference exactly: **108.63974289615767**, with zero failures. There are 1,953 spread-4 seeds in the choosing range. Source quotes and candidate syntax checks also passed.

      2. I’ll check the scorer, combine and measure the spread-4 pieces, then validate the selected strategy on the confirming seeds. I’ll keep the experiments under the permitted item directory and leave only the two required JSON files.
      3. The pieces make distinct changes: bids halves low-price bid size, asks changes when to retain the rival’s ask tick, and queue allows more stock to remain ahead of the rival. The priced block also has speed optimizations; I’ll preserve those and add each trading rule once.
      4. The scorer check and paired choosing runs are underway. I’m testing bids on the priced block, then asks, queue retention, and both together on top of bids. Each comparison uses the same spread-4 seeds; the selection will be frozen before confirmation.
      5. The 600-run scorer check finished in under five minutes, so I’ll keep the full run counts. The choosing batch is saving every simulation result for paired comparisons, including retail and arbitrage edge.
      6. The scorer reproduced the reference exactly: **108.63974289615767**, with zero failures. There are 1,953 spread-4 seeds in the choosing range. Source quotes and candidate syntax checks also passed.
