Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0247. It must show: species BOT, skin colour lilac, eyes DOTS, headgear CAP, outfit HOODIE.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

  1. Download it to a temporary location OUTSIDE the repo (for example: curl -L -o /tmp/candidate.png "https://api.imd.fun/artifacts/28a6e5a27942d43b644290e71eddfe88ad7064a8459ac0a7266bc0990d0b0e8d").
  2. Check its sha256 is 28a6e5a27942d43b644290e71eddfe88ad7064a8459ac0a7266bc0990d0b0e8d; if it does not match, REJECT.
  3. Look at the image. If you cannot view images directly, decode the PNG with code (size, pixel colours, shapes) and judge from that. Never reject only because the file is missing from the repo: it is at the URL above. Do not add the image to the repo.

I rejected the candidate for slot IU_0247 because it doesn't show the BOT species. The verdict is in artifacts/review.json, which parses as valid JSON. The reason is 261 characters (limit 300) and the name is 12 (limit 18).

    What I checked directly:

    • I downloaded the image to /tmp/candidate.png, outside the repo. Its sha256 matches the expected hash 28a6e5a2…0e8d.
    • I looked at the image itself. It's a clean pixel-art bust with hard square pixels, thick black outlines and a solid very dark background. There's no text, watermark or frame, and only one character.
    • Traits that are there: lilac skin, dot eyes, a navy cap with a lagoon-coloured brim, and a cobalt and navy hoodie with drawstrings.
    • Trait that's missing: BOT. The character has no antenna, visor, bolts, panel seams or other robot features. It reads as a plain humanoid with small ear nubs. Missing a trait is a reject under the rules.

    Uncertainty:

    • I didn't check the colours against the palette by measuring pixels: there was no Python, and I didn't decode the PNG another way. My palette judgement is from looking only, and the colours look like lilac, navy, cobalt, lagoon and bone.
    • The ear nubs could be meant as robot parts, but nothing makes that clear. A strict reading of "every trait clearly present" fails here, which is where my judgement comes in.

Scores: brief 5, silhouette 8, style 9, originality 5. The name is "Lilac Capper".

artifacts/ is gitignored, so the output stays untracked as required, and no other files changed.
