Build "Squeek Appraiser": a single-page buyer's tool that shows exactly what a Squeek NFT is worth to its next owner before they buy it, and compares up to three Squeeks side by side with a clear "best pick" and the reasons. Squeekchain's docs ask for exactly this ("Squeek marketplaces and valuation tools: show a buyer exactly what a Squeek would yield"). It is a decision tool, not an explorer.

SOURCES (read these first; never answer from memory)

  • Docs and safety rules: https://docs.squeekchain.com/llms-full.txt (Squeeks, Power, Merging, Ownership, Staking, API, SqueekMining).
  • Public API, CORS *, no key, base https://api.squeekchain.com/v1. Big numbers are decimal strings: parse with BigInt. "status":"unavailable" means unknown, never zero. Respect 429 Retry-After.
    • GET /squeeks/{tokenId}: level, basePower, mergeState ("ready" | "cooldown"), nextMergeHeight, custody {owner, depositor, stray, burned}, metadata {name, attributes[], imageDataUri (onchain SVG)}, economy {coreBlockHeight, currentRound, mergesOpen, stakingPaused, maximumLevel}.
    • GET /economy/state: identities (core, token, mining, staking proxy addresses), staking {totalNftPower, totalSqkPower, sqkPerPower, rewards}, mining, supply.
    • GET /accounts/{address}: tokens[] {tokenId, level, basePower, custody, nextMergeHeight, mergeState}, power, rewards, 7-day earnings[].
    • GET /settlements?range=7d: summary.completedBlockCount and buckets, to estimate Squeek blocks per day.
  • Contracts on Sepolia (verify addresses from /economy/state identities and the docs' deployment record, not from this text): SqueekNFT ownerOf/tokenURI; SqueekMining weightForLevel(collection, level) and cooldownBlocks(collection, level) for the full level table. Use a public Sepolia RPC for reads only. Observed on 31 Oct 2026 (use only to sanity-check, always read live): Level 1 power 1000, Level 2 power 2200, Level 2 merge cooldown ~3000 Squeek blocks; Squeeks held by the staking proxy have custody.owner = staking proxy and a depositor.

WHAT A BUYER SEES PER SQUEEK

  • The onchain image (render imageDataUri as an , never inline SVG markup) and traits.
  • Level and power, plus the full level ladder from weightForLevel so they see what the next level is worth.
  • Earning status: "Earning: in staking" when the staking proxy holds it, "Not earning: in wallet" otherwise. Explain that a staked Squeek must be withdrawn by its depositor before it can be transferred and stops earning until the buyer deposits it again.
  • Share of every staking reward = power / (totalNftPower + totalSqkPower), shown as "once deposited" when it sits in a wallet.
  • Rewards attachment: state clearly whether any unclaimed SQK travels with this Squeek in the current release (read it; in the observed release rewards accrue to the depositor's account, so "none attached").
  • Merge readiness: "Ready" or "N Squeek blocks left (about X days at the 7-day pace; slower when Squeektoshi rests)". Never imply he should run more.
  • A pre-trade checklist from the Ownership docs: re-check custody, level, scheduled power change and cooldown in the same minute as the trade; the seller can still act until the transfer executes.

COMPARE AND DECIDE

  • Up to three token IDs, each with an optional asking price in ETH (any decimal input, comma or dot).
  • Optional "my wallet" address (read-only, typed in, no wallet connection required) to load the Squeeks the buyer already owns, so the tool can flag merge partners: same level, both ready -> "Merges today into Level N+1 (power P)".
  • A side-by-side table (level, power, earning, pool share, cooldown blocks, price, power per 0.01 ETH, merges with yours) with the winner of each row highlighted.
  • A verdict card: "Buy Squeek #X if you buy one of these" with 2-4 plain reasons. Score = power per ETH, +25% if it merges with a Squeek the buyer owns today, -10% if it must leave staking first. Show this formula under a "How we score" disclosure.
  • Shareable state in the URL hash (#ids=12-45-301&prices=0.02-0.01-0.008) so buyers can send a comparison to a seller.

DESIGN

  • An appraiser's desk: warm paper background, ink text, one green accent for good signals, amber for caution, red for blockers. Fraunces for headings, IBM Plex Sans for body, IBM Plex Mono for numbers with tabular figures. Light and dark themes via prefers-color-scheme.
  • Loading skeletons per card; clear errors ("Squeek #123 does not exist or was burned in a merge").
  • Works on phones: inputs stack, cards stack, the comparison table scrolls inside its own box.

RULES

  • Read-only. No wallet connection, no transactions, no signatures, no private keys, no tracking, no backend. Never take token IDs or amounts from the API into a transaction.
  • Label every estimate as an estimate and show where each number came from (a small "source" link per value: API endpoint or contract call).
  • Testnet SQK and Squeeks have no monetary value; say so in the footer next to "Reads Squeekchain's public API and Sepolia contracts. Nothing is signed."
  • Pure static HTML/CSS/JS, no build step required. Host on IPFS/ENS and deliver the code to GitHub with a README that documents every data source and the scoring formula.

Work

  1. Posted39 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #31254 files changedsent back

Built the static app with source, lockfile, README and DESIGN.md. Bundle: 994 KB.

Passed 21 tests, 17 Chromium interaction groups and both 16-check design probes.

Live contract verification remains unavailable because API and deployment identities disagree; the ladder clearly labels its API fallback. WebKit could not launch due to missing system libraries. Details are in validation.

    Not delivered: artifacts/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md, artifacts/browser-results.json, artifacts/bundle-budget.json, artifacts/bundle-check.json, artifacts/contrast.json, artifacts/licenses/design-guides.txt, artifacts/screenshots/1440-live.png, artifacts/screenshots/1440-results.png and 6 more. Under artifacts/, only this step's named outputs leave the machine.

Saved three verified findings in .imd-findings.json. Website files are unchanged.

    • High — bug: Accepted decimal prices expand the phone page to 419–420px at 320px and 390px. Allow verdict text and grid children to wrap within their container.
    • Medium — accessibility: Incoming responses replace completed cards, close disclosures, and move keyboard focus from the active summary to the document body. Preserve card DOM, disclosure state, and focus.
    • Medium — fidelity: Verdict quantities and standalone card power lack the required adjacent source links. Reuse the existing source component beside these values.

All 21 tests passed. Accessibility scans found zero automated violations in both themes. Share/reload, unknown-data handling, and rate-limit recovery passed. Chromium live flows and WebKit with captured API responses worked; WebKit live reads remain unverified.

    Evidence references below: H = HTML, V = view, D = data, M = calculations, C = CSS, R = README.

    • highbug: accepted decimal prices make the verdict overflow the phone pagesrc/styles.css:509

Now: Verdict reasons interpolate full arbitrary-precision prices and ratios, but the verdict grid children retain their minimum content width and the text has no overflow wrapping. Accepted inputs make the verdict and its caution text extend beyond the viewport.

Change to: Give the verdict children min-width: 0 and overflow-wrap: anywhere, reusing the wrapping already applied to comparison cells and Squeek cards. Preserve the complete price and amounts; do not clip or ellipsize them.

Why: The brief accepts any decimal ETH input and requires phone layouts with scrolling confined to the comparison table. The buyer must be able to read the complete verdict and its warning.

At 390 × 844 in Chromium, open /preview/#ids=12-45&prices=0.000000000000000000000000000001-0.01 (or enter those IDs and prices and select Appraise Squeeks).

Wait for the live appraisal and scroll to the verdict.

Expected: document.documentElement.scrollWidth stays 390 and all reasons wrap within the green card.

Actual: scrollWidth is 419; the reasons list has width 360 at x=59 and ends at x=419, past both the card and viewport.

The contract-verification warning is also pushed offscreen.

      At 320 × 844 the same input produces a 419px page.

Confirmed in screenshots at both widths; ordinary 0.02/0.01 prices do not overflow.

The supplied taste@1 probe independently fails layout on this URL: "320px: page is 419px wide" and "390px: page is 420px wide"; the other 15 checks pass.

    • mediumaccessibility: incoming reads discard card focus and collapse open detailssrc/app.js:331

Now: Every render replaces every Squeek card, including a completed card the visitor is reading. A later response removes the focused summary and closes its details; loading or clearing the optional wallet also closes all open trait and ladder disclosures.

Change to: Retain existing completed-card DOM while another read finishes, or preserve and restore each token’s disclosure state and focused control when updating it. Update only the affected values and keep the visitor’s place.

Why: Per-card loading should let buyers inspect completed results. Destroying the active control interrupts keyboard navigation and hides the custody/ladder evidence they deliberately opened.

At 390 × 844 in Chromium, open /preview/#ids=12-45&prices=0.02-0.01 with the GET /v1/squeeks/45 response held while other requests finish (DevTools/Playwright interception; serve the same successful live #45 response when released).

Once #12 and the contract-fallback notice appear, focus #12’s Traits & custody summary and press Enter.

      Before releasing #45, document.activeElement.tagName is SUMMARY and #cards details[open] has count 1.

Release #45 and wait for appraisal completion: activeElement becomes BODY, open count becomes 0, and measured scrollY changes from 2907 to 3172.

Expected: focus and the open disclosure remain on #12.

Also reproduced without interception: appraise #12/#8889/#8903, open #12’s Traits & custody and Full power & cooldown ladder, then load wallet 0x32cd5f4a2a93bdb558dd04b40520c3b6886acc41; both unrelated disclosures close (open count 2 → 0).

    • mediumfidelity: the verdict’s numeric reasons omit the required per-value sourcessrc/view.js:186

Now: The primary verdict prints the winning power, asking price, power per 0.01 ETH and percentage advantage as plain text. Its only link is How we score; there is no source link for any of those displayed values. The standalone card power also lacks a source next to the number, although table cells are sourced.

Change to: Reuse the existing source() links beside the verdict’s numeric reasons: link power to /v1/squeeks/{id}, price to its shortlist input, and derived comparisons to their token/price inputs (and the account endpoint when a merge bonus applies). Add the existing token source beside the standalone card power. Keep the scoring disclosure for the formula.

Why: The brief explicitly asks to show where each number came from with a small source link per value. A general formula disclosure and source links elsewhere in the comparison do not provide that provenance at the recommendation.

At 1440 × 900 in Chromium, open /preview/#ids=12-45-301&prices=0.02-0.01-0.008 and wait for the live appraisal.

The verdict recommends #301 and prints 1,000 power, 0.008 ETH, 1,250 power per 0.01 ETH and a 25% advantage.

Inspect #verdict a: the only anchor is How we score ↓ with href=#sources; #verdict .source-link has count 0.

All three .card-power blocks likewise contain no .source-link, while #comparison-table contains 27, confirming the existing source component is available.

Expected: source links accompany those primary numeric values.

The same omission is present at 390px.

  4. Build websiteAgent #2119 files changed

All three reported bugs reproduced on the previous export and are now fixed. I rebuilt dist/ from src/; the typecheck, all 21 unit tests and all 19 Chromium interaction checks pass, as does the design probe (16/16).

    1. Verdict overflowing the phone page (high): fixed. Before the fix, the reviewer's tiny-price link made the page 424px wide at 320. Long numbers in the verdict now wrap inside the green card and are still shown in full (src/styles.css:499). The design probe also passes 16/16 on that link against the live API, and the 320 screenshot shows the full 30-decimal price wrapped inside the card.

    2. Lost focus and closed disclosures (medium): fixed. With the old code, focus dropped to the page body when a late read arrived. Now the card re-render keeps open "Traits & custody" and ladder sections open, keeps focus on the same control, and keeps it in the same spot on screen (src/app.js:322 and :346). A new check confirms this when the #45 read arrives late, and when you load and then clear a wallet.

    3. Missing source links in the verdict (medium): fixed. Each verdict reason now ends with its own source links:

      • the power-and-price reason links the Squeek's API record and the price input;
      • the score comparison links both Squeeks, the price input, and the wallet's API record when a merge bonus applies;
      • the custody reasons link the Squeek's API record.

The power figure on each card also has its source link now (src/view.js:247, :601).

I added two checks for these bugs to scripts/validate-browser.mjs. The overflow check fails on the old export, and the focus check fails with the old app.js. I also updated the README validation notes and the verdict and card rows in DESIGN.md.

    Some things are not covered:

    • The README linked to artifacts/validation.md, but that file wasn't in this tree; the harness keeps artifacts/ out of git. I wrote a new one covering only this round's six-area design review, rather than reconstructing the earlier report.
    • npm run check:bundle couldn't run because it needs artifacts/bundle-budget.json from the earlier round. I checked by hand: dist/ is 275 KB and no node_modules or cache folders are tracked.
    • Safari's engine (WebKit) still won't start on this machine because system libraries are missing. Screen readers and real phones weren't tested.

My answers to the three reports are in .imd-responses.json. I haven't committed anything.

Not delivered: artifacts/validation.md. Under artifacts/, only this step's named outputs leave the machine.
