Build a static, client-side website called Book Desk that tracks Mancer Books (tokenized trader vaults on Robinhood Chain, chain id 4663). It reads only public data in the browser: the Mancer API at https://api.mancer.xyz (GET /v1/books for the board, GET /v1/books/{token} for one Book, GET /v1/prices, GET /health) and Robinhood Chain RPC https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com for on-chain reads of the Books factory 0xa727e7AF47A965afD0341AfCEF7Bc3F86be876b0 (bookOf, tradersOf, costBasis, unlockAt) and each vault's trackedTokens/trackedBalance. Pages:

  1. Board: every Book with phase, NAV in ETH and USD, return bps, price-to-backing, time left, trader and trust, sortable.
  2. Book page: holdings by share, NAV history polled and kept in localStorage, trade feed, the 16-token target list, settlement math (2% close fee, 20% trader cut of profit).
  3. Watchlist pinned to one configurable Book token address via ?book=0x... Dark Bloomberg-style terminal look, orange on black, dense tables, no wallet connection, no backend, no secrets.

  3. Design criticAgent #362found 1 medium, 1 low

I found two problems, one medium and one low, and nothing high. The site does everything the brief asks for: no requirement is missing or faked and nothing is broken. Both findings are in .imd-findings.json. The probe ran in Chromium only. WebKit (the engine behind every iPhone browser) would not start on this machine because system libraries are missing, so Safari behaviour is unchecked.

    Requirements

    • "static, client-side … called Book Desk": met. dist/index.html, title "Book Desk | Mancer Books terminal".
    • "GET /v1/books for the board": met. src/api.ts:55.
    • "GET /v1/books/{token} for one Book": met. src/api.ts:84.
    • "GET /v1/prices": met. src/api.ts:97; ETH $2,266.19 appears on the page.
    • "GET /health": met. src/api.ts:99; the footer reads "API healthy".
    • "Robinhood Chain RPC https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com": met. src/config.ts:2; the Book page made 52 RPC requests and none failed.
    • "factory 0xa727e7AF…76b0 (bookOf, tradersOf, costBasis, unlockAt)": met. src/config.ts:4,11-15. I checked all four selectors with cast sig.
    • "each vault's trackedTokens/trackedBalance": met. src/api.ts:188,210. Those selectors and the trade event signature are also correct.
    • "chain id 4663": met. src/config.ts:3; the health check compares chain IDs.
    • Board "every Book with phase, NAV in ETH and USD, return bps, price-to-backing, time left, trader and trust": met. The board table shows all 21 Books.
    • Board "sortable": met. Clickable column headers plus a "Sort by" select; the logic is src/model.ts sortBooks.
    • Book page "holdings by share": met. "Vault holdings", e.g. STONKBROKER 99.99%.
    • "NAV history polled and kept in localStorage": met. The key bookdesk.history.v1.<token> is written; it polls every 15s; the page says "This browser only".
    • "trade feed": met, with an empty state that misleads (medium finding 1).
    • "the 16-token target list": met. "Target tokens 15 / 16"; the empty slot is called out (src/App.tsx:1604-1631).
    • "settlement math (2% close fee, 20% trader cut of profit)": met. src/model.ts:103-105. I recomputed the on-page figures by hand and they match: 0.5218 / 0.4139 / 0.0828.
    • "Watchlist pinned to one configurable Book token address via ?book=0x...": met. src/App.tsx:68,99 (finding 2 covers the invalid-address case).
    • "Dark Bloomberg-style terminal look, orange on black, dense tables": met. See the screenshots.
    • "no wallet connection, no backend, no secrets": met. The only outside hosts it contacts are api.mancer.xyz and the public RPC.
    • Hosting and deploy: after review.

The idea: Book Desk is a dense black-and-orange market terminal for Mancer Books, carried by tables of monospace numbers. There are no competing visual effects to cut.

    Findings

    1. Medium, fidelity: the trade feed says "No trades in the scanned blocks." for Book #4, which has traded.
      • Evidence:
        • The API reports vault.tradeNonce = 1, and the vault holds STONKBROKER and AMZN, which only a trade can buy.
        • The first scan covers 2,000,000 blocks, about 1.4 days. Its first block has timestamp 1793346877, but the Book opened at 1793231321.
        • Searching the vault's logs in 100k-block chunks across that window returns 0 trade events.
      • Fix: when no trades are found and tradeNonce is above 0, say "This vault has executed {tradeNonce} trade(s) before the scanned blocks." above the "Scan earlier blocks" button. Or start the first scan at the Book's op

    • mediumfidelity: the Book page trade feed says no trades for a Book that has tradedsrc/App.tsx:1763

Now: the first scan covers only the latest LOG_WINDOW (2,000,000 blocks, about 1.4 days on Robinhood Chain). For Book #4 (token 0xabba8782...31bf), which opened before that window, the feed shows 'No trades in the scanned blocks.' even though the Mancer API reports book.vault.tradeNonce = 1 and the vault holds STONKBROKER and AMZN, which only a trade can buy. The brief's 'trade feed' reads as empty on first view.

Change to: when trades.length === 0 and book.vault.tradeNonce > 0 (a field /v1/books/{token} already returns), replace the paragraph with 'This vault has executed {tradeNonce} trade(s) before the scanned blocks.' and keep the 'Scan earlier blocks' button directly under it; or start the first scan at the block for book.times.openedAt so a Book's whole life is covered. Keep the RPC URL, topic and window size as they are.

Why: the brief asks the Book page for a 'trade feed'; an empty state must say only what the app knows, and the app already knows this vault traded.

      Width 390 (any width), Chromium.

      Open dist/index.html#/book/0xabba87821bae3c224e87348b83d3f79799ec31bf and wait 12s.

Actual: Trade feed reads 'No trades in the scanned blocks.' with 'Latest scan 101,569,054-103,569,053'.

Evidence: GET https://api.mancer.xyz/v1/books/0xabba87821bae3c224e87348b83d3f79799ec31bf returns book.vault.tradeNonce 1, book.times.openedAt 1793231321; block 101,569,604 (head minus 2,000,000) has timestamp 1793346877, after the Book opened, so its trade sits before the scanned window. eth_getLogs for TRADE_TOPIC on the vault 0xf4cafb2b72027ea67c57c33844517249dceb57d4 over those 2M blocks returns 0 logs.

Expected: the feed acknowledges the earlier trade or reaches back to the Book's opening.

    • lowbug: an invalid ?book= address still shows the previously pinned Book under the errorsrc/App.tsx:204

Now: visiting ?book=0xnotanaddress shows 'The URL contains an invalid Book token address.' and then renders the full Book page of whatever Book was pinned earlier in localStorage (Book #4 'Books'), so the URL names one thing and the page shows another.

Change to: when the query is present and !isAddress(query), pass no pinned Book to Watchlist (render the address field and the error only), so the panel below the error is the empty Watchlist state with the 'Browse all Books' link.

Why: the brief pins the Watchlist 'to one configurable Book token address via ?book=0x...'; a page reached through that URL should show the Book the URL names or nothing.

      Width 390, Chromium.

      1. Open ?book=0xabba87821bae3c224e87348b83d3f79799ec31bf and wait 10s (pins Book #4).
      2. Open ?book=0xnotanaddress and wait 4s. Actual: page text shows 'The URL contains an invalid Book token address.' followed by 'Books / Book #4 Trading', 'Vault NAV 26.0916 ETH' and the full Book panel. Expected: the error and the empty Watchlist, no Book panel.
