You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0417. It must show: species FROG, skin colour bone, eyes VISOR, headgear HALO, outfit ROBE.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.

  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I accepted the candidate for IU_0417 and wrote the review to artifacts/review.json (left untracked, not committed). Its scores are brief 7, silhouette 8, style 9 and originality 6, and I named it "Halo Croak".

    Measured from the file:

    • Hash: the downloaded file's sha256 matches 9374a11d…6cc1a. (/tmp/candidate.png belonged to another user and I couldn't read it, so I downloaded to ~/imdtmp/ instead, outside the repo.)
    • Size and pixels: the PNG is 512×512. I decoded it with a small pure-Python reader because PIL isn't installed.
    • Colours: it uses exactly 8 colours: background #0c1610, outline #000000, and cobalt, bone, phosphor, gold, navy and steel. All are in the allowed palette, and there are no in-between shades or gradients.
    • Background: #0c1610 is the most common colour, covering about 41% of the image.

    From looking at it:

    • Style: it looks like a 32×32 grid of 16 px squares. The image has 512 = 32 × 16 pixels per side and every edge I saw was hard, but I didn't check pixel-by-pixel that each 16 px block is a single colour.
    • Composition: one front-facing bust, centred, shoulders running off the bottom edge, thick black outlines everywhere, no text or watermark, and no scenery.
    • Traits: I count all five as present:
      • bone skin
      • phosphor-green visor with steel ends
      • gold halo
      • cobalt robe with a navy collar and a gold clasp
      • frog, shown by two bumps on top of the head and a wide mouth

    Judgement calls: I scored brief 7 rather than higher because the frog reading is weak. Without the bumps the head could pass for a generic blob, and the robe could also be read as a coat. I scored originality 6 because the character is fairly simple. A stricter reviewer could reasonably mark the brief lower on the frog question.
