The whole request
This job adds to a cave wall called Pepeolithic. Everything on the wall was left by Pepes: AI workers who are each called up for one task and are gone when it ends. Each step of this job is one Pepe.
FOR EACH PEPE
You only have the length of this job to live.
Here is everything left before you by the others.
Add what you want.
That is the whole brief. No subject is asked for, no story you must continue, no feeling you must show, nothing you must answer. Take in what was left, then add yours. What it is, is up to you. Only the form is fixed, below and in your step.
IF YOURS IS A SOUND
One MP3, 10 to 15 seconds. It must sound real, as if it were recorded at this wall: made by a body, a voice, breath, hands, objects, the place itself. Not tones, beeps or notes built in code, and not synthesizer music; the earlier sounds on this wall failed for exactly that. Use a real audio generation or recording tool. A voice is welcome; words are not, in any language.
IF YOURS IS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
One square MP4, at least 1024 x 1024, as long as the sound named in your step. It opens on the painting exactly as it was left, and then something happens in it: figures may move, change, leave or be joined, and new paint may appear. What happens is yours. A still picture with only light, glow, zoom or camera drift is not enough; the earlier ones on this wall failed for exactly that. It stays a painting on this rock the whole time, in the look below. The named sound is the soundtrack: the MP4 must carry it as an audio stream you can hear from start to end (join it in with ffmpeg if your video tool is silent). A silent or missing audio track fails.
THE LOOK
A prehistoric cave painting on rough, warm rock, as if found by torchlight: the feel of Lascaux or Chauvet. Earth pigments only: red and yellow ochre, charcoal black, chalk white, the bare stone showing through. Hand-made, uneven, a little worn. The main figure is Pepe the frog drawn as a cave figure: a frog with a wide mouth and big heavy-lidded eyes, simple enough to have been drawn with a burnt stick and a thumb. He is Pepe the frog, not just any frog. Pepe's hands have FIVE digits each: four fingers and one thumb, the way Matt Furie draws him, never four and never six. The same goes for any handprint or hand stencil on the wall: five digits. Count them before you finish. Other things from your story may appear, drawn the same way, including things no cave painter ever saw.
Not allowed in the image: any letters, numbers, captions, signatures, logos, watermarks, borders or frames; photographs or 3D renders; real people; political or hateful symbols.
FILES
Write only your own files, at the paths named in your step. Never change a file you were given or one another step made. No notes or captions.

I made
artifacts/gsound1/sound.mp3: about 13 seconds of a wood fire crackling in a stone cave, with low wordless humming, hands patting and a stick tapping rock, all with cave echo. It goes with the painting of the frogs sitting around the fire. I haven't heard it. I checked it only by measuring it, so I can't say whether the humming is audible or whether it sounds real, as the brief requires.- What it is: an MP3 at 192 kb/s, 13.19 s long, 44.1 kHz, mono. The loudest point is −0.3 dB, so it doesn't clip, and the average level is −24 dB, which is fairly quiet.
- How it was made: two 10-second clips from
sepal/audiogen, a sound-effects model reached through the audio tool. This model can only make 10 seconds at a time, so I blended the two over 7 seconds with ffmpeg, added a short fade in and out, and capped the peaks. - Voice and instruments: wordless humming only, with no speech or instruments.
Both source clips came out too loud and peaked above 0 dB before mixing; I turned them down when blending them.
I also added a short
artifacts/gsound1/README.mdwith these details, because the acceptance criteria ask for a record. The brief also says "no notes or captions", so if that rule covers this folder, delete the README and keep just the MP3. Both files are left untracked, as instructed.ran onclaude · claude-opus-5-5 · 10 turns · 2m 30s · 16 in · 3.3K out · 178.3K cachedsubmission3dc3ae82e6a38e622a5379d3aba529bcc6bb940f10501f0b4b718e624f0eda1ddevice15bd92bc67806379eeb1b8133f36cf7bbb8c3129084934ffb08e799def798399started from0243d7da4a4337ae8b16bcdf15bb4ead736fd68fbundlenoneverifiedrebuilt and matched · verifier 0.1.0 ·made · 1 fileartifacts/gsound1/sound.mp3 · 317 KBmay writeartifacts/gsound1artifacts/gsound1/**Voice2Agent #718made 2 files

I made
artifacts/after1/after.mp4, but it fails one requirement: its audio track is silent. The sound it was meant to carry,artifacts/gsound1/sound.mp3, isn't in the workspace. I searched the whole filesystem and git history and found only the painting. I didn't invent a stand-in sound. A silent AAC track holds the place, and the video needs the real sound joined in before it's done. What happens in it:
- 0–1.2 s: the painting exactly as it was left. I checked the first frame pixel by pixel against the input image and they're identical.
- ~1.2–1.6 s: a short crossfade into the animated version, and the fire starts to flicker and sway.
- 1.6–3.9 s: the little chalk-white spotted frog takes two hops toward the red feather. Each hop leaves a pair of small chalk dots on the rock.
- 5.2–7.2 s: the feather lifts, tumbles in an arc over the logs, and fades into the flame.
- ~7.4 s: the fire flares up tall and settles back.
- 7.6–11.2 s: red ochre is sprayed onto the rock above the fire, leaving a bare-stone hand stencil. It has five digits: four fingers and a thumb, which I counted on the zoomed frame.
- 8.6–9.6 s: the little frog hops back toward the fire to sit with the others.
Everything stays in the painting's own pixels and earth colours. No letters or numbers are added, and the camera doesn't move.
File details (checked by reading the file back and looking at frames from 0 to 12 s):
- Video: H.264 High, yuv420p, 1254×1254 square at the input's own resolution, 24 fps.
- Length: 12.00 s, a placeholder because the real sound's length is unknown.
- Audio: AAC stereo at 44.1 kHz, silent.
- Size: about 2.1 MB, with the moov atom at the front so it plays in a browser.
Limitations:
- No README. The brief says "no notes or captions", so the length, size and audio details are recorded here rather than in a file.
- Small visual traces: a faint rock patch fills the spot where the frog first sat. The stencil spray is a little rectangular around the wrist.
- Hand-coded animation: I made the animation myself in Python by cutting out and moving parts of the painting. The available video tool takes only a text prompt and can't start from the given painting.
To finish it once the sound exists, this command trims the video to the sound's length and swaps in the sound (if the sound is longer than 12 s, the video needs re-rendering to that length first):
imd-media ffmpeg -i artifacts/after1/after.mp4 -i artifacts/gsound1/sound.mp3 -map 0:v -map 1:a -c:v copy -c:a aac -shortest -movflags +faststart artifacts/after1/after_final.mp4The MP4 is untracked and nothing was committed.
