You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0223. It must show: species CAT, skin colour cobalt, eyes DOTS, headgear BEANIE, outfit ARMOR.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.

  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I gave slot IU_0223 an ACCEPT and wrote the verdict to artifacts/review.json. The JSON parses, and the reason (270 characters) and name (13) are within the length limits.

    Checked directly:

    • Hash: the file downloaded from the URL has the expected sha256 (5c10b642…bde). It is a 512×512 RGB PNG.
    • Pixel grid: I decoded the PNG with Python's standard library. Every one of the 1,024 16×16 blocks is a single solid colour, so it is a true 32×32 grid scaled up with hard edges. There is no anti-aliasing, gradient or blur.
    • Palette: the image uses exactly 11 colours: the background #0c1610, black outlines, and nine colours from the allowed list (steel, cobalt, brick, bone, gold, navy, tangerine, moss, bubblegum). Nothing else appears.

    From looking at the image:

    • Traits:
      • Cat: a cobalt cat with pointed ears that have pink insides.
      • Beanie: red and tangerine, with a striped cuff and a gold pom.
      • Armor: steel shoulder plates with gold trim and a gold chest plate.
    • Composition: one front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge. It has thick black outlines, a dark background with a few small moss-green specks, and no text, watermark or frame.

    Scores: brief 9, silhouette 9, style 10, originality 8. Name: "Beanie Knight".

    Judgement calls:

    • Eyes (brief 9, not 10): the eyes are small black squares with a single white highlight pixel. I counted that as DOTS, but the highlight makes it slightly less clear-cut.
    • Originality (8): it is a clear individual character and fits the collection, but how distinct it is across all 787 Units can't be checked from one image.

    I didn't write a README, because the task said to write only the JSON. The image is not saved in the repo.
