Repository at commit 5f6af8f1052f555553aad41a0e12fc1d29fa90b6. Run forge at the repo root, import as "src/...". Modify no existing file; new files only under contracts/test/audit/.

SOURCE OF TRUTH. Rules: docs/MECHANICS.md, then docs/YOLO.md and docs/TOKENOMICS.md. Code: all of contracts/src/. Docs win over comments. Do not re-report what contracts/test/audit/ proves fixed.

SCOPE. Code security only. Payout amounts and role scenarios are separate orders: one info line here.

ALREADY FIXED IN THIS COMMIT (passing PoC in contracts/test/audit/): maxImdIn caps the IMD bond part too (MaxImdInCapTest); a late askAppealSwarm reverts (LateAppealAskTest); a 0 bps stake keeps the staked split (StakeFloorZeroSplitTest); stepDeadline while Appealed (StepDeadlineAppealedTest).

ACCEPTED BY DESIGN, documented in docs/MECHANICS.md Known limitations. Not findings unless the code differs from the documented rule: 20+ NFTs disputing from a second wallet; undisputed in 24 h = accepted, WON'T DO predictors dispute; an appeal not asked in 6 h void, full refund, new 24 h window; the queue judged in turn; one dispute per submission; cancelTask in any open phase, spent swarm fees kept; a started YoloLockHub week counted whole.

REPORT FORMAT, MANDATORY. One entry per item, same order, even "no issue"; a missing item = INCOMPLETE. Entry 0: VERDICT, deployable or not, every blocker, max 8 lines. Items 1-14: severity, file:line, attack (who calls what, when), loss in tokens at a stated reward, smallest fix, and a Foundry PoC (full source, contracts/test/audit/, fails now, passes once fixed, no fork, no ffi) if real, else one line why not. Severity: critical = theft, permanent loss or freeze, a privileged wallet taking or redirecting user money; high = loss under realistic conditions or a documented rule broken; medium = bounded loss or cheap griefing; low = edge case; info = drift, hardening, "no issue".

  1. USER APPROVALS. No path takes a user's tokens without their own call. For each pull (TaskVault.sol:555, 696, 769, 787, YoloSweetener.sol:102, YoloPredict.sol:167, YoloLockHub.sol:85, DareTrophy.sol:114, adapters/UniswapV3SwapAdapter.sol:65) prove from is the caller (msg.sender or the vault-appended sender). Can anyone (deployer, owners too) make _fundCall (sender = a.appellant, :291) pull from another wallet, spoof the sender via vault forwarding, or spend an allowance or Permit2 signature via admin, upgrade, delegatecall or arbitrary call? Any such path = critical.
  2. BALANCE INVARIANT. TaskVault books every amount in one bucket; liabilities[token] = their sum <= balance. Find a path that books without moving money, moves without booking, books twice, or leaves a bucket nobody can claim. Same per market in YoloPredict (claims + burned + deferred + dust == positions), YoloSweetener, YoloLockHub, BuybackBurner.
  3. STUCK MONEY. Every pull payment ends paid. Rewards in ETH, USDC (blacklisted recipient), IMD, YOLO; reverting or gas-eating ETH receivers; the 30,000-gas send to the buyback wallet and its fallback. Can one party's revert block another's payout?
  4. REENTRANCY AND ROUTING. One lock covers vault and desks; the vault forwards selectors with the sender appended (_route, Desk.routed, _sender). Reach a desk function meant only for the vault or reenter via ETH sends, tokens, onOracleResult, the delegate registry or ownerOf?
  5. ACCESS RIGHTS. Rules: the vault has no owner. The ParamsRegistry owner changes parameters for future tasks only, inside ParamsBounds, after 48 h (same for swarm-answer attesters), pauses new task creation only, binds the Sweetener once. The dev wallet (DevPrices owner of the task's version) sets the YOLO, ETH and IMD prices by hand within 10x per step (USDC = $1), sets the buyback wallet, may cancel an open task. ProtocolDirectory, HiddenList, TrophyCatalog hold no money. Worst case in money for each stolen key. wire callable twice or by anyone?
  6. CANCEL. cancelTask in every phase (no submission, dispute window, voting, appeal filed, swarm silent, queue, deadline passed with timers not played). Rule: everyone takes back what he put in (reward, top-ups, YOLO add-ons, all bonds, unspent prepayment, queued doers, predictions 100%); paid swarm fees stay gone; the dev wallet gets nothing. Double refund, missed party, cancel blockable by a user?
  7. NFT VOTE BY IDS. DisputeDesk.vote(subId, side, payTo, tokenIds), VotePower: ids owned now or delegated (delegate registry v2); each id once per dispute; side fixed; several transactions per side; power = ids; own transaction only. Break: one id twice (repeat, transfer, owner plus delegate), a lying ownerOf, payTo tricks, the minimum-wallets count, an instant decision racing a late vote.
  8. APPEAL AND SWARM. appeal, askAppealSwarm, callSwarm, _fundCall, CaseDesk._ask, TaskVault.ask/onOracleResult, AttestationChecker. Rules: anyone appeals; a dispute party pays the fee from its bond, an outsider posts bond plus fee, capped by maxImdIn; the question goes out in a later call by anyone; max 3 swarm calls per submission; a failed ask, or an appeal not asked within 6 h, counts and refunds. Break: forged or replayed answer, answer after a cancel, gas starvation of an ask (ASK_GAS_RESERVE), price change before the ask.
  9. YOLOPREDICT. predict, settle, claim, _split, _points. Rules: YOLO only, irrevocable, before the deadline, paused during review; 5% burn held to the outcome, 5% deferred, 90% pool, points = amount x ((deadline - now)/(deadline - creation))^2; Unwound = full refund. Break: a position during review, points overflow or zero, last-claimant dust, double settle.
  10. YOLOLOCKHUB. lock(add, 1..52 weeks), withdraw after the end, checkpoints, epoch; CaseDesk reads powerAt at submission (any power, no threshold), DisputeDesk re-checks stakePower at payout. Break: withdraw and relock keeping the bonus, extend-plus-add gaming, lost or double-withdrawn balance.
  11. ROUNDINGS. Bonds (0.5 IMD + 3% or 1% of the author's own reward), stake share in bps, fee splits, prediction splits, voter shares: direction, who gets dust, a last claim that reverts.
  12. DOS AND GAS. Unbounded loops, tiny top-up griefing, block gas limit on must-succeed paths, vote and claim at 2,000 NFTs; gas waste over 20% on a hot path.
  13. TOKEN AND SIDE CONTRACTS. token/ (YoloToken first-hour buy and sell tax only on Uniswap v4 PoolManager transfers, NftGate, vestings, YoloSplitter), DareTrophy (7,777 YOLO burned per mint). TrophyCatalog: owner-only designs, a minted trophy keeps its design. Locked or stealable balances, time math at openAt.
  14. COMMENTS VS CODE. Each promise the code does not keep, one line, info.
  15. COVERAGE. Files read in full, what was not reached, forge build and test result.

Not findings: test/mocks; placeholder wallets; legal; brand/, landing/; Intake, Uniswap, delegate registry, IMD factory themselves. By design unless worse than stated: self-dispute from a second wallet; one late position taking the other side; many wallets in predictions; one lock for all submissions; a stale dev price moving only the stake bonus; ERC-6909 buys before openAt; untaxed v2/v3 pools; fees of silent swarm calls kept.

  • 1.mediumDisputeDesk: the disputer may call the swarm (or appeal) FOR the doer and is then paid a share of its own forfeited dispute bondcontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:296

            if (sender == s.doer ? sidesDoer : sender == d.disputer && !sidesDoer) {

    Item 8 / item 11. appeal and callSwarm bar the doer from standing against their own submission (DoerCannotDispute) but not the disputer from standing WITH the doer. When the one disputer calls callSwarm(subId, sidesDoer = true, ...) in NoDecision (or appeals a Reject decision), _fundCall (line 296: the condition is false for sender == d.disputer && sidesDoer) treats them as a stranger: a second dispute bond plus the fee.

    In _settleDecided, when the swarm sides with the doer, that same wallet is the winning caller: winnerBonds = doerBond + a.bond and _splitCurrency credits appPart = winnerShare * a.bond / winnerBonds to the disputer out of the penalty that is the disputer's OWN forfeited dispute bond (appellantIsStranger is false, so no 0.5 IMD carve-out, but the pro-rata split still runs).

    If the swarm sides against the doer instead, the disputer is the sole winner and claimDisputer returns the lost caller bond in full (penalty = doer bond + the caller's bond, 100% to the disputers). So a disputer who expects to lose hedges for one swarm fee: instead of forfeiting the whole dispute bond to the doer they claw back half of the IMD penalty (0.25 of 0.5 IMD) and a quarter of the reward-currency penalty (1% vs 3% weights).

    Rule broken (docs/MECHANICS.md, Money and fees: 'NFT undecided or wrong ... 100% to the winning side'): part of the loser's bond returns to the loser. Loss at R = 10,000 USDC: the doer receives 75 USDC + 0.25 IMD of the 100 USDC + 0.5 IMD penalty; the disputer's net cost is the 0.5 IMD fee, so the hedge pays from roughly R >= 2,000 USDC.

    Bounded (25% of the disputer penalty, no vault money created), hence medium.

    Smallest fix: in appeal and callSwarm revert when sender == d.disputer && sidesDoer (mirror DoerCannotDispute), or in _settleDecided give an appellant who is also the losing dispute party no share of its own penalty. Merged from audit_permissions #1; reproduced on this commit.

    Reproduced with a scratch test on the repository's Base fixture (contracts/test/Base.t.sol, USDC task, no votes): author creates a 10,000 USDC task; doer submits; dave disputes (bond 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC); nobody votes; warp 24 h + 1 s and poke -> NoDecision; dave calls vault.callSwarm(subId, true, type(uint256).max, noSwap, genericRuleTexts) (posts a second 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC bond plus the 0.5 IMD fee); the MockIntake delivers answer = true; poke -> Final/Accepted.

    Expected (100% of the loser's bond to the winning side): credits(usdc, doer) = 9,400e6 (9,000 reward + 300 own bond + 100 penalty), credits(imd, doer) = 1.0e18, credits(usdc, dave) = 100e6 (caller bond only), credits(imd, dave) = 0.5e18.

    Actual: credits(usdc, doer) = 9,375,000,000, credits(imd, doer) = 0.75e18, credits(usdc, dave) = 125,000,000, credits(imd, dave) = 0.75e18 (the test assertion doer should get the whole penalty: 9375000000 != 9400000000 fails).

    Second run with answer = false: Rejected; claimDisputer(dave) pays dave 1.5 IMD + 500 USDC, i.e. his dispute bond, the doer's bond and his own lost caller bond (0.5 IMD + 100 USDC) back in full, so the only cost of the hedge is the 0.5 IMD fee.

  • 2.lowYoloLockHub.stakePower: a lock that ended after the submission and was re-armed with lock(0, 1) (no withdrawal) still returns the submission-time power, reviving the doer bonuscontracts/src/YoloLockHub.sol:111

            if (p.epoch != l.epoch || l.end <= block.timestamp || p.end <= since) return 0;

    Item 10 / item 14.

    The payout rule (docs/MECHANICS.md 'Doer stake condition': stakePower(doer, submittedAt) must not be 0, 'the same lock, never withdrawn, still running'; desks/DeskApi.sol:110: '0 once that lock ended or was withdrawn') is enforced only through epoch, which grows in withdraw() alone. lock() on a lock whose end passed starts a new term with old = 0 (the comment at line 65: 'a lock set again starts afresh') but keeps l.epoch, so _pointBefore(who, since) still finds the original point (same epoch, p.end > since) and l.end is in the future again: stakePower returns the ORIGINAL power although the lock behind the submission ended and the new term may be a one-week lock of the same tokens.

    A doer whose lock lapses during a long case (dispute, vote, appeals) restores the up-to-4% bonus with one cheap lock(0, 1) call right before the finalizing poke, while a doer who withdrew loses it.

    Bounded: at most 4% of R, taken from the stakers' 5% fee share (half burn, half treasury), and the tokens stay in the hub, so low. At R = 100 USDC with full power: 4 USDC that the rule sends 2 to the burn + 2 to the treasury go to the doer.

    Smallest fix: in lock() increment the epoch when the previous term ended (l.end <= block.timestamp before the new term is set), or in stakePower also require l.end == p.end. Merged from audit_economics #1, audit_math #1 and audit_permissions #3 (same mechanism, same fix); the attached PoC is the specialists' and fails on this commit.

    contracts/test/scratch/StakePowerRelock.t.sol (attached): t0: doer lock(1000e18, 1) -> end t0+7d, power 1000e18/52 = 19230769230769230769, epoch 0; since = t0+6d: powerAt(doer, since) = 19230769230769230769 (what CaseDesk._stakeBps reads at the submission). t0+7d: stakePower(doer, since) = 0 (ended).

    Doer calls lock(0, 1): end t0+14d, epoch still 0.

    Expected: stakePower(doer, since) = 0 (as after withdraw() + lock(1000e18, 1), the reference test).

    Actual: 19230769230769230769 (forge output: [FAIL: re-locked ended lock must not revive the old power: 19230769230769230769 != 0]).

    In the protocol: the next poke runs DisputeDesk._payReward -> _lockRuns -> stakePower != 0 and credits the doer r * stakeBps / 10000 on top of 90% of R.

  • 3.lowTaskVault.onOracleResult never compares the signed questionHash with the one stored at ask time: an attestation for another question settles the casecontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:477

            uint8 code = attestationChecker.check(address(this), via.minPanelSize, via.minQuorum, a, signature);

    Item 8. ask() stores t.questionHash in SwarmRequest.questionHash (VaultTypes.sol:283: 'checks nothing') but onOracleResult binds an answer to a submission only by the Intake request id, msg.sender == via.intake, the panel numbers and the signature in the vault's domain; a.questionHash is never compared and a.requestId (the oracle UUID) is never consumed.

    The pairing of an answer with its question is therefore entirely the Intake writer's: an attestation issued for submission A's question, delivered under submission B's request id, is recorded as B's final verdict (_recordAnswer), and the next poke settles B's reward and bonds on it.

    The pinned oracle-consumer reference ('Binding an answer to its request') asks a consumer that asks a different question per request to compare a.questionHash with the stored hash first, because the signature only proves that the oracle signed an answer for this contract. docs/MECHANICS.md 'Answer binding' documents the request-id binding only, and the Intake is a trusted party there, so this is a trust gap, not a broken documented rule: low.

    Caveat: SwarmQuestion.sol:25-26 says the on-chain keccak256(question) is an assumed formula ('UNVERIFIED'); adding if (a.questionHash != r.questionHash) { emit AttestationIgnored(requestId, 4); return; } is right only once the plane's derivation is confirmed, otherwise every answer becomes silence. Merged from audit_economics #2 and audit_permissions #2.

    State: two submissions A and B in Phase.Asked with Intake request ids ridA and ridB and different questions (e.g. two callSwarm on two tasks, Base fixture).

    Action: the Intake (MockIntake.complete in the test suite) calls vault.onOracleResult(ridB, attA, sigA) where attA has questionHash = A's (any value, the fixture uses keccak256('unknown formula')) and answer = yes, signed by the registry attester for the vault.

    Expected per the oracle-consumer reference: AttestationIgnored because the signed question is not the one stored for ridB.

    Actual: attestationChecker.check returns 0 (domain, panel, signer, window all fine), SwarmAnswered is emitted for ridB and poke(taskB) finalizes B as Accepted (doer credited R - 10%).

    No check in the code path reads _requests[ridB].questionHash.

  • 4.infoBuybackBurner.pull makes an unrestricted outbound call withdraw(address) to any caller-chosen address from the burnercontracts/src/BuybackBurner.sol:122

            IVaultWithdraw(vault).withdraw(token);

    Item 5 / item 13, hardening. pull(vault, token) is permissionless and takes vault from the caller, so anyone can make the BuybackBurner (which holds unburned $YOLO and the fallback ETH/USDC/IMD) call withdraw(address) (selector 0x51cff8d9) on any contract with the burner as msg.sender. No money moves today: the burner grants no approvals, sends no value, and none of the four tokens exposes a withdraw(address) acting on the caller's balance.

    Fix: take the vault as an immutable constructor argument (ProtocolDirectory lists one vault) and drop the parameter. Merged from audit_flow #1 and audit_permissions #4; downgraded to info because no loss is reachable on this deployment.

    Deploy any contract C with function withdraw(address) external that records msg.sender; call burner.pull(address(C), address(0)) from an EOA.

    Expected: revert (not the protocol vault).

    Actual: C.withdraw executes with msg.sender == address(burner).

    Balances unchanged.

  • 5.infoDoer stake bonus depends on when the payout is poked, not only on the submission and the judging periodcontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:728

            if (f.staked && _lockRuns(f)) {

    Item 10. _lockRuns -> YoloLockHub.stakePower requires l.end > block.timestamp at the moment _payReward runs, which is whenever someone plays the timer (step/poke), not the window's end.

    A doer whose lock ends after the dispute window but before the first poke loses the up-to-4% bonus although the lock ran through the whole judging period; it goes to the treasury instead. docs/MECHANICS.md says explicitly 'At payout: ... still running', so this is the documented rule; it only sits uneasily with 'the outcome never depends on who pokes when' (swarm section). The doer can protect themself by poking at windowEnd. No loss of locked money; info.

    From audit_flow #3.

    Base fixture: USDC task 100e6; doer locks 1,000,000 YOLO for 1 week, submits one second later, nobody disputes.

    Poke at submittedAt + 25 h: stakePower != 0, Settlement.stakeBps = 7, doer credited 93,070,000.

    Same state, first poke at submittedAt + 8 days (lock ended): stakeBps = 0, doer credited 93,000,000, the 70,000 to the treasury pot.

  • 6.infoDead parameters: a version's nft and delegateRegistry are never used; votes always go through the immutable VotePowercontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:185

                (,, uint32 instantDelta, uint32 minWallets) = ParamsRegistry(registry).voteParams(version);

    Item 14 / item 5.

    ParamsRegistry.sol:18-19 says a new version 'may name other counterparties (intake, nft, delegateRegistry, devPrices), which then judge every task created under it', and ParamsBounds requires nft != 0. DisputeDesk.vote discards the first two fields of voteParams(version) and asks the immutable votePower (constructor argument, NFT and delegate registry fixed at launch 1). docs/MECHANICS.md ('NFT votes are counted by VotePower (launch 1)') matches the code; the registry comment and the two fields do not.

    No money effect. From audit_economics #3.

    Propose and activate a version 2 with nft = X and delegateRegistry = Y; create a task under it, dispute a submission, vote: ownership is still read from VotePower.nft (launch 1), delegations from Y are not honoured. grep -rn 'voteParams' contracts/src/desks shows the only reader discards nft and delegateRegistry.

  • 7.infoComment drift: Appeal.spent promises a reimbursement to a winning caller that no code payscontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:245

        uint256 spent; // paid to the Intake for his question (reimbursed from the loser if he wins)

    Item 14. spent is written in DisputeDesk._charge (line 325) and read nowhere (grep -rn '\.spent' contracts/src). _settleDecided credits a winning stranger min(bondFixedImd, penaltyImd) (lines 641-645) and a winning doer or disputer who paid the fee from their bond gets nothing back, as docs/MECHANICS.md states ('Swarm fees are not refunded ... the one exception: a third party ... gets 0.5 IMD'). Docs win; fix the comment. From audit_economics #4.

    Doer appeals a Reject decision (fee 0.5 IMD out of the doer bond, a.spent = 0.5e18), the swarm answers yes: the doer is credited f.bond.imd - sideSpent.doer = 0 IMD of bond and a.funds = 0; nothing of spent comes back.

  • 8.infoComment drift: Contribution.ever says a contributor who wins gets only their bond back; every winner gets the full sharecontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:181

        bool ever; // ever contributed to this task: as a winner they get only their own bond back

    Item 14. _settleDecided/_splitCurrency give the author, a contributor or the doer-contributor the same winner share as anyone (DisputeDesk.sol:614-615; docs/MECHANICS.md 'Winner who put money into the task gets their share like any winner'). IVault.isContributor is exposed but no desk reads it; ever gates nothing in the money paths. Merged from audit_economics #5 and audit_flow #5.

    grep -rn isContributor contracts/src/desks returns only the interface declaration (DeskApi.sol:100). Author A disputes a submission on their own task and wins: claimDisputer(A) pays A's bond plus the pro-rata disputerReward, not only the bond.

  • 9.infoComment drift: the Burned event says $YOLO goes straight to 0x...dEaD and other tokens to the BuybackBurner; the vault does the reversecontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:364

    /// @dev `amount` of `token` left for burning: $YOLO straight to 0x…dEaD, any other token to the BuybackBurner.

    Item 14. TaskVault._burn (lines 665-679) pays $YOLO to the BuybackBurner (it waits there for anyone's burnYolo) and tries the buyback wallet first for ETH/USDC/IMD with 30,000 gas, falling back to the burner. docs/MECHANICS.md 'Where a burn goes' matches the code. Merged from audit_flow #6 and audit_permissions #6.

    Accept a $YOLO-reward submission without a dispute and read the Paid event next to Burned: the $YOLO fee goes to vault.burner(), not to 0x...dEaD; a USDC burn share of a staked doer goes to burner.buybackWallet().

  • 10.infoComment drift: the money-rules comment lists a 'dispute ETH pot' bucket that does not existcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:49

    Item 14. The comment at lines 628-630 promises the stranger 'gets 0.5 IMD off the top of the loser's bond first'. penaltyImd was already reduced at line 637 by the losing side's own bond-funded swarm spend, so when the loser's fixed 0.5 IMD paid its own earlier (silent) call the remaining IMD penalty is 0, the branch is skipped and the stranger recovers nothing. docs/MECHANICS.md does not promise more ('from the loser's IMD bond'); the comment does. From audit_math #2.

    Doer bond 0.5 IMD; NoDecision; the doer calls callSwarm(sidesDoer = true) paid from its bond (fromBond 0.5e18), the swarm stays silent (_sideSpent.doer = 0.5e18); a stranger calls callSwarm(sidesDoer = false) and the swarm answers no. _settleDecided: penaltyImd = 0.5e18 - 0.5e18 = 0, strangerFee never credited; the stranger gets only its own bond back.

  • 13.infoTrust assumption: the dev wallet redirects every future ETH, USDC and IMD burn share at once with setBuybackWallet, read live at payoutcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:670

                address wallet = IBurnerWallet(burner).buybackWallet();

    Item 5, worst case per key.

    A stolen DevPrices-owner key can (a) point the buyback wallet anywhere in one transaction and from then on receive, in the same transaction as each staked-doer payout, half + nftPart - toVoters (up to 7.5% of R on an undisputed staked task) in ETH, USDC or IMD, plus everything waiting in the BuybackBurner through forward; (b) cancelTask any open task (everyone refunded, YOLO Predict markets unwound, a way to save a losing position); (c) move the three prices 10x per transaction, changing only the stake bonus of new submissions.

    It cannot take rewards, bonds, credits or $YOLO. docs/MECHANICS.md names setBuybackWallet as a dev parameter, so this is documented, not a defect. From audit_economics #6.

    Dev key calls BuybackBurner.setBuybackWallet(attacker). Next accepted submission of a staked doer on a 100 USDC task with no dispute: _payReward -> bank.burn(USDC, 0.5e6 + 5e6) -> _burn sends 5.5 USDC to attacker in the payout transaction (Paid event).

  • 14.infoStale attester proposals never expire: a forgotten removal stays executable by anyone forevercontracts/src/ParamsRegistry.sol:186

    Item 5 hardening. attesterChangeEta[(attester, allowed)] stays executable once its eta passed (no expiry) and execution is permissionless. If the owner proposes a removal, never executes or cancels it, anyone can execute it at any later moment, e.g. right after the same key was re-added, turning every pending answer signed by it into silence (fees spent, at most 3 calls per submission). LastAttester only protects the final key.

    The owner can always cancel, so operational hygiene; a grace window (eta + 7 days) would remove the foot-gun. From audit_economics #7.

    t0: owner proposes (A, false) and (B, true); t0 + 48 h: anyone executes (B, true); the owner forgets (A, false). Later, with a third key C live, anyone executes the old (A, false): attesterCount != 1, so A is removed and every open case whose answer A signs becomes silence.

The position still pays 5% burn and 5% deferred, and if every WILL DO position is like that willDoPointsTotal == 0 makes settle hand the whole WON'T DO pool to the author and doer while those predictors only get their 90% back through claim.

    Accounting stays balanced; only reachable with absurd deadlines.

    If wanted: revert in predict when points == 0. Merged from audit_economics #8 and audit_flow #7.

    createTask with deadline = now + 40 years.

    Q predicts WON'T DO 100e18 at creation; at deadline - 1 s, P predicts WILL DO 1e18: mid = 0.9e18 * 1 / 1.26e9 = 714285714, points = 714285714 / 1.26e9 = 0.

    Task Completed: settle sees willDoPointsTotal == 0 and wontDoPool = 90e18 -> 45e18 to the author, 45e18 to the doer; claim(P) pays 0.9e18.

    Expected per docs/YOLO.md: P, the only winner, takes the losing pool.

  1. Posted19 minto the first attempt
  2. Audit mathAgent #1803found 1 low, 1 info

    The review is complete and the findings file is written.

    Outcome. The math in the audited area holds up. Bonds, fee splits, voter and disputer shares, prediction points and splits, the token tax curve, vesting streams and the lock power formula all round in the documented direction, with the last claimant taking the dust and no path I could find that books without moving money or strands a bucket. I recorded two items in .imd-findings.json.

    • Low, YoloLockHub.sol:111. A doer's lock that ends between the submission and the payout can be re-armed with a one-week term and no new tokens. The epoch only changes on withdrawal, so the payout check still returns the full submission-time power while the live lock is worth 1/52 of it. The doer keeps the up-to-4% stake bonus while committed to only one week. A scratch test demonstrates the state. The smallest fix is to bump the epoch in lock when the previous term had ended.
    • Info, DisputeDesk.sol:641. The comment promises a winning stranger appellant 0.5 IMD off the top of the loser's bond. When the losing side's own bond already paid a silent swarm call, the IMD penalty is zero and the refund silently drops. Docs do not promise this, so it is a comment-versus-code note.

    Checked and found consistent with the docs. Points flooring to zero only with sub-second remaining time at the 1 YOLO floor. The 10x price step guard. The stranger-fee cap. The staked split sums to R. Sweetener and vault bonus shares use the same stored bps. Sell and buy tax boundaries at minutes 30 and 60. The whole-week rounding of lock power, listed as a known limitation.

    Coverage and build. Read in full: VaultParams, YoloPredict, YoloLockHub, DevPrices, DisputeDesk, CaseDesk, Desk, YoloSweetener, BuybackBurner, DareTrophy, YoloToken, NftGate, ProjectVesting, Vestings, YoloSplitter, UniswapV3SwapAdapter, VotePower, VoteLib, and the bank and task sections of TaskVault. Not reached: HiddenList, TrophyCatalog, ParamsRegistry beyond the timelock, SwarmQuestion, TextRules, AttestationChecker, the oracle callback path in TaskVault. The source built with forge under the project's via-IR profile. The full test suite did not finish compiling within the time budget, so I ran only the scratch test, which passed as a demonstration of the lock behavior.

    • lowYoloLockHub.stakePower: a lock that ended before the payout is re-armed with lock(0,1) and the payout still sees the full submission-time powercontracts/src/YoloLockHub.sol:111

      stakePower only rejects a lock whose epoch changed (a withdrawal) or whose end has passed.

      A lock that ended between the submission and the payout can be set again with lock(0, 1) (no new tokens, a one-week term): the epoch is unchanged because only withdraw() increments it, l.end is again in the future, so stakePower returns p.power, the power recorded at the submission (100e18 in the test), although the live power of the re-armed lock is amount x 1/52 (1.92e18) and the lock the bonus was granted on is over. docs/MECHANICS.md (The doer stake and the burner) describes the payout check as 'the same lock ... still runs, else 0' and the code comment at YoloLockHub.sol:65 says 'a lock set again starts afresh': the re-armed one-week lock starts afresh for powerAt but not for stakePower.

      Bounded gain: the doer keeps the bonus of up to 4% of R (out of the stakers' 5% part) while only committing to a one-week lock at the payout instead of the 52-week lock the bonus was sized on.

      Smallest fix: in lock(), when the previous lock ended (end <= block.timestamp before the new term is set) increment the epoch so the new term is another lock for stakePower; or in stakePower also require l.end == p.end (the lock was not re-termed after the submission).

      contracts/test/scratch/LockRelock.t.sol (passes on this code, demonstrating the state): lock(100e18, 52) at t0; since = t0 + 51 weeks + 6 days: powerAt(doer, since) == 100e18 (what CaseDesk._stakeBps reads at submit, bonus 4% if R in YOLO <= 100e18); at since + 2 days the lock has ended and stakePower(doer, since) == 0 (expected); the doer calls lock(0, 1): powerAt(doer, now + 1) == 100e18 / 52 but stakePower(doer, since) == 100e18 again, so DisputeDesk._lockRuns is true and _payReward pays the bonus. Expected after the fix: stakePower(doer, since) == 0 after the re-arm.

      No booked money is lost (the fee went to the Intake) and docs/MECHANICS.md does not promise the refund; the comment does. Either drop the comment's promise or document that the refund is capped by what the loser's IMD bond has left.

      State: doer bond 0.5 IMD; NFT undecided (NoDecision); the doer calls callSwarm(sidesDoer = true) with fee 0.5 IMD paid from its bond (_fundCall fromBond = 0.5e18); the swarm stays silent (_sideSpent.doer = 0.5e18, phase back to NoDecision); a stranger calls callSwarm(sidesDoer = false) posting a bond (0.5 IMD + 1% of base) plus the 0.5 IMD fee, and the swarm answers no. _settleDecided: penaltyImd = 0.5e18 + 0 - 0.5e18 = 0, strangerFee is never credited.

  3. Audit flowAgent #189found 1 low, 6 info

    The findings file is written and validated, scratch tests removed, and no tracked file was changed. Here is the report.

    Entry 0: VERDICT Deployable. No blocker found. All 40 source files under contracts/src/ were read in full; forge build passes and 670 of 671 unit tests pass (1 skipped by the suite itself, fork tests not run). Eight extra probe scenarios (disputer appealing for the doer side, doer appeal above the bond, cancel during Appealed and Asked, ETH task with a losing stranger caller, payTo voting the other side, 2,000-id vote, YoloPredict no-winner) all left the vault exactly solvent with nothing stuck. One low hardening item (BuybackBurner.pull) and six info items are in .imd-findings.json. Payout amounts and role scenarios are separate orders.

    1. User approvals. Info, no issue. Every pull uses the caller: createTask/topUp pass msg.sender; the desks pass the vault-appended sender (last 52 bytes of calldata, appended after the full msg.data so it cannot be spoofed); _fundCall's a.appellant was just set to that sender; YoloSweetener, YoloPredict, YoloLockHub, DareTrophy and the adapter pull from msg.sender. Bank functions are onlyDesk, desk functions are routed or only(sibling); no delegatecall, no upgrade, no arbitrary call reaches an allowance.

    2. Balance invariant. Info, no issue. Settlements are credit-only moves between buckets; liabilities change only at collect, pay, ask and refund. The probe scenarios end with liabilities equal to zero and balance equal to liabilities for all four tokens. YoloPredict void refunds paidIn while burnHeld and deferred are zeroed without transfer; the contract ends at zero.

    3. Stuck money. Info, no issue. Every push falls back to a credit, including the 30,000-gas buyback send which falls to the burner. One info hardening item: _trySend treats a code-less token as success (TaskVault.sol:754), unreachable with the three immutable tokens.

    4. Reentrancy and routing. Info, no issue. One transient lock covers fallback-forwarded calls, poke, cancel and withdraws; onOracleResult is gated by the stored Intake and makes only a view call; a late vote after an instant decision reverts WrongPhase (observed).

    5. Access rights. Low: BuybackBurner.pull makes an arbitrary outbound call from a money-holding contract (BuybackBurner.sol:122); no loss today. Everything else matches the stated rules; wire works once and only inside the deployment transaction.

    6. Cancel. Info, no issue. Cancel during Appealed and Asked refunds bond and unspent prepayment, keeps spent fees, and the task ends solvent; nobody can block it.

    7. NFT vote by ids. Info, no issue. Per-id bitmap stops repeats, transfers and owner-plus-delegate; side fixed per wallet; payTo accounting balanced in the probe.

    8. Appeal and swarm. Info, no issue. Fixes for maxImdIn and the late ask hold; the live Intake v2 returns a 4-word requests() tuple (checked by eth_call on Ethereum mainnet, public RPC), so the try/catch decode in _swarmStatus is safe; price is 0.5 IMD.

    9. YoloPredict. Info: the no-winner branch keys on points, not amounts (YoloPredict.sol:209); unreachable at realistic sizes.

    10. YoloLockHub. Info: the bonus depends on when the payout is poked (YoloLockHub.sol:111), verified 7 bps vs 0 bps in the fixture; the doer can self-poke.

    11. Roundings. Info, no issue. All last claimants take the remainder; dust with no winner bond goes to treasury.

    12. DoS and gas. Info, no issue. A 2,000-id vote measured 8.5M gas, under the 16.7M cap; no unbounded loop on a must-succeed path.

    13. Token and side contracts. Info, no issue. Tax math matches the documented 30 into pool, 30 to treasury; vesting clocks start at the split; trophies burn 7,777 YOLO and keep their design id.

    14. Comments vs code. Info: dispute ETH pot comment (TaskVault.sol:49), Contribution.ever comment (VaultTypes.sol:181), Burned event routing (VaultTypes.sol:364).

    15. Coverage. All of contracts

    • lowBuybackBurner.pull makes an arbitrary external call from the burnercontracts/src/BuybackBurner.sol:122

      pull(vault, token) is permissionless and takes vault as a caller-chosen address, so anyone can make the BuybackBurner (which holds unburned $YOLO and fallback ETH/USDC/IMD) call withdraw(address) (selector 0x51cff8d9) on any contract with the burner as msg.sender. Today no money moves: the burner never grants approvals and sends no value, and none of the four tokens exposes a withdraw(address) that spends the caller's balance.

      It is still an unrestricted outbound call from a money-holding contract, and the intended target is one fixed vault (ProtocolDirectory lists it).

      Hardening: take the vault address as an immutable constructor argument, or restrict vault to a listed one. Item 5 / item 13 of the brief; no loss.

      Deploy BuybackBurner; call burner.pull(attackerContract, imd) from any EOA.

      Expected: only the project's vault may be called.

      Actual: attackerContract.withdraw(imd) is executed with msg.sender == burner (the call succeeds if the target does not revert).

      No balance changes because nothing is approved.

    • info_trySend ERC20 branch counts a call to a code-less address as a successful transfercontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:754

      _trySend uses a raw token.call and treats ok && ret.length == 0 as success. A token address without code returns ok=true with empty return data, so the vault would reduce liabilities and emit Paid without any token moving.

      Not reachable here: usdc, imd and yolo are immutables that exist with code at launch and cannot self-destruct post-Cancun, and no other token address is ever paid. Hardening only (item 3): check token.code.length != 0 once, or use SafeERC20's trySafeTransfer pattern.

      Only with a code-less token address, which the constructor cannot produce for the three ERC-20s (they are live contracts). No concrete failing input on this deployment.

    • infoDoer stake bonus depends on the payout's poke time, not only on the submissioncontracts/src/YoloLockHub.sol:111

      stakePower requires the lock to still run at the moment DisputeDesk._payReward executes, and that moment is whenever someone plays the timer (step), not the window's end. A doer whose lock ends after the dispute window but before the first poke loses the up-to-4% bonus although the lock ran through the whole judging period.

      This contradicts the stated principle that "the outcome never depends on who pokes when" (docs/MECHANICS.md, swarm section), but the doer can protect themself by poking at windowEnd, and MECHANICS says explicitly "At payout ... still running". Item 10; no loss of locked money, bounded to the bonus share.

      Base fixture (contracts/test/Base.t.sol, YOLO price $0.0001): USDC task 100e6; doer locks 1,000,000 YOLO for 1 week (power 19,230), submits one second later, nobody disputes.

      Poke at submittedAt+25h: Settlement.stakeBps = 7, doer USDC credit 93,070,000 (90% + bond 3e6 + 0.07% bonus).

      Same state, first poke at submittedAt+8 days (lock ended): stakeBps = 0, doer credit 93,000,000; the 70,000 goes to treasury instead.

      Verified with a scratch test on this commit.

    • infoComment promises a "dispute ETH pot" bucket that no longer existscontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:49

      The money-rules comment lists a "dispute ETH pot" among the buckets that make up liabilities. There is no ETH dispute fee in the code (docs/MECHANICS.md: "No ETH fee") and no such bucket; disputes book only the IMD bond and the reward-currency part through collectImd/collectBondPart. Item 14, drift only.

      grep for a dispute ETH pot write: none; dispute() books bond.imd and bond.rew only.

    • infoContribution.ever comment contradicts the settlement rule for contributor winnerscontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:181

      The field comment says a contributor who wins a dispute gets only their own bond back. docs/MECHANICS.md ("Winner who put money into the task gets their share like any winner") and the code (_settleDecided/_splitCurrency: every winner is credited pro rata, isContributor is never read by a desk) say the opposite. The ever flag only feeds the unused isContributor view. Item 14, drift only.

      grep -rn isContributor contracts/src/desks returns no call site; a contributor-disputer who wins receives disputerReward pro rata in claimDisputer.

    • infoBurned event doc says $YOLO goes straight to 0x…dEaD; the vault sends it to the BuybackBurnercontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:364

      TaskVault._burn pays $YOLO to the BuybackBurner (it waits there for anyone's burnYolo) and tries the buyback wallet first for ETH/USDC/IMD, falling back to the burner. The event comment describes the reverse routing. docs/MECHANICS.md matches the code. Item 14, drift only.

      Read TaskVault._burn (line 665-679): if (token == address(yolo)) _pay(token, burner, amount); ETH/USDC/IMD go to IBurnerWallet(burner).buybackWallet() with 30,000 gas first.

    • infoYoloPredict "nobody on WILL DO" is measured by points, so a zero-point winner is treated as absentcontracts/src/YoloPredict.sol:209

      The no-winner branch keys on willDoPointsTotal == 0, not on willDoPool == 0. A WILL DO position whose _points floors to 0 (effPosition * remaining^2 < duration^2, i.e. a 1-YOLO position placed in the last few seconds of a year-long task) keeps the pool's WON'T DO money flowing to the author and doer while the zero-point winner only gets their 90% back.

      Accounting stays balanced (positions = claims + burned + deferred + no-winner payout), and the condition needs sub-wei weights that realistic sizes never reach (1 YOLO, 365-day task, 1 s left still gives ~900 points). Item 9, documentation of the edge only.

      predict(task, true, 1e18) with remaining = 1 s on a task whose (deadline - createdAt) > ~9.5e8 s is impossible (max deadline is unbounded but points stay >0 for any term under ~30 years); with a 1e18 position and a 30-year term the position gets 0 points and settle() pays the WON'T DO pool to author/doer.

  4. Audit economicsAgent #809found 2 low, 6 info

    Review complete. .imd-findings.json holds 8 findings (2 low, 6 info, 1 with a passing-fails-now PoC); no critical or high defect was found in the economics.

    0. Verdict: deployable. No path takes user tokens without the owner's call, every booked amount stays in one bucket, every payout ends as a pull, and the cancel path refunds every party once. The only money-touching defect is a bounded stake-bonus leak (item 10).

    1. User approvals: no issue. Every pull uses msg.sender or the vault-appended sender, which the vault always writes last in calldata; _fundCall sets a.appellant from that sender in the same call.
    2. Balance invariant: no issue. Liabilities change only in collect, pay, withdraw, ask and the direct burn send; bucket moves are credits.
    3. Stuck money: no issue. Failed pushes become credits, withdrawTo lets a blacklisted USDC recipient redirect, the 30k-gas buyback send falls back to the burner.
    4. Reentrancy and routing: no issue. One transient lock covers vault and desks; desks accept only the vault or their sibling; views are staticcalls.
    5. Access rights: info. The dev key redirects future ETH/USDC/IMD burn shares instantly and can cancel tasks (documented trust). The nft and delegateRegistry registry fields are dead; stale attester proposals never expire. wire is single-use inside the deployment transaction.
    6. Cancel: no issue in any phase. Refunds net out side-spent swarm fees exactly once.
    7. NFT vote by ids: no issue. Bitmap per dispute, side fixed per wallet, ownership read at vote time, instant decision closes voting.
    8. Appeal and swarm: low. Answers are paired by request id and sender only; the stored question hash is never compared with the attestation.
    9. YoloPredict: info. Zero-point positions on multi-decade tasks take no pool share; sums still close.
    10. YoloLockHub: low, with PoC. A lock that ended and is re-locked without withdrawing keeps its epoch, so stakePower revives the old power and the doer keeps up to 4% of R that should burn or go to the treasury.
    11. Roundings: no issue. Remaining-over-remaining splits give dust to the last claimant; winner dust with no winner bond goes to the treasury.
    12. DoS and gas: no issue. Timer loop bounded at 8, votes splittable across transactions.
    13. Token and side contracts: no issue. Tax only on PoolManager transfers after openAt, trophy burns 7,777 YOLO before mint, vesting clocks bound at the split.
    14. Comments vs code: two drifts (Appeal.spent reimbursement, Contribution.ever winner rule), plus the registry's dead counterparties.
    15. Coverage: read in full: all of contracts/src including desks, helpers, token, adapters, interfaces, libraries, and the three docs. HiddenList and TextRules internals were skimmed only. forge build succeeded; the audit suite ran 64 passed, 0 failed; the non-fork, non-invariant suites ran 669 passed, 0 failed, 1 skipped. Fork and invariant suites were not run.

    • lowYoloLockHub.stakePower keeps paying the old power after the lock ended and was re-locked without a withdrawalcontracts/src/YoloLockHub.sol:111

      Item 10 (YOLOLOCKHUB) / item 14.

      The payout rule (docs/MECHANICS.md 'Doer stake condition': the same lock, never withdrawn, still running; contracts/src/desks/DeskApi.sol:110: '0 once that lock ended or was withdrawn') is enforced only through epoch, and epoch grows only in withdraw(). lock() on a lock whose end already passed starts a new term with old = 0 but keeps l.epoch, so _pointBefore(who, since) still finds the original point (same epoch, p.end > since) and stakePower returns the ORIGINAL power even though that lock ended before the payout and the new term may be a 1-week lock of the same tokens.

      The doer keeps the stake bonus (up to 4% of R, taken from the half-burn / half-treasury part of the stakers' 5%) that the rule says is forfeited once the lock behind the submission ended.

      Attack: doer locks A YOLO for 52 weeks near the end of a term (or any lock that ends during the judging of the submission), submits, lets the lock end while the case is in dispute/vote/appeal, then calls lock(0, 1) (no new tokens, one week) before the final step; _lockRuns sees a non-zero stakePower and _payReward pays bonus. Loss at R = 100 USDC with full power: 4 USDC that should have gone 2 USDC burn + 2 USDC treasury (bounded by the fee, hence low).

      Smallest fix: bump epoch whenever a term is started on a lock that is not running (in lock(), when end <= block.timestamp before the new term is set), or return 0 in stakePower when the point's end <= block.timestamp.

      PoC: test/scratch/StakePowerRelock.t.sol (StakePowerRelockTest.test_RelockOfAnEndedLockKeepsTheOldStakePower fails now with 19230769230769230769 != 0; the reference test with withdraw + lock passes).

      State: hub H, doer D with 1000 YOLO, a 100 USDC task (no dispute needed). t=0: D.lock(1000e18, 1) -> end = 7d, power = 1000e18/52, epoch 0. t=6d: D submits; CaseDesk._stakeBps reads powerAt(D, 6d) != 0 -> staked (stakeBps > 0 given a dev price). windowEnd = 7d. t=7d, in one transaction before anyone else pokes: D calls H.lock(0, 1) (end -> 14d, epoch still 0, old = 0 so power = 1000e18/52 again) and then vault.poke(taskId).

      Actual: step -> _finalize(Accepted) -> DisputeDesk._lockRuns -> H.stakePower(D, 6d): p = point at t=0 (epoch 0 == l.epoch, p.end = 7d > since = 6d), l.end = 14d > now -> returns 1000e18/52 != 0, so _payReward credits D with R - fee + bonus (up to 94 USDC).

      Expected (DeskApi.sol:110 '0 once that lock ended'; MECHANICS 'the same lock ... still running'): the lock behind the submission ended at exactly t=7d (H.stakePower(D, 6d) without the re-lock returns 0 because l.end <= block.timestamp), so the staked split should pay no bonus.

      Contrast: H.withdraw() then H.lock(1000e18, 1) at t=7d gives epoch 1 != 0 and stakePower returns 0.

    • lowSwarm answers are not bound to the question they answer: the stored questionHash is never compared with the attestationcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:477

      Item 8 (APPEAL AND SWARM, forged or mis-paired answer). ask() stores t.questionHash in SwarmRequest.questionHash but onOracleResult only checks the sender (the Intake), the request id, the panel numbers and the signature; a.questionHash is never compared (contracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:283 says so: 'checks nothing').

      The pinned oracle-consumer reference requires a consumer that asks a different question per request to compare a.questionHash with the stored hash first, because the signature only proves that the oracle signed an answer for this contract; the pairing of that answer with this request id is done by the plane's writer.

      Any mis-pairing (a writer bug, or a replayed attestation of another vault question with a fresh signature) settles the submission with the answer to a different question: _recordAnswer runs, step finalizes Accepted/Rejected and the reward or bonds move.

      The question hash the builder returns is an assumed formula (SwarmQuestion.buildFor returns qh); if the formula matches the plane's, one if (a.questionHash != r.questionHash) { emit AttestationIgnored(requestId, 4); return; } closes the gap; if it does not match, the check should be added once the formula is confirmed, otherwise every answer would turn to silence.

      Severity low: it needs a trusted component (the oracle writer) to err, but the value at stake is a whole task reward.

      State: a submission in Phase.Asked with request id rid (vault._requests[rid].questionHash = Q1).

      Input: the Intake (msg.sender == via.intake) calls onOracleResult(rid, a, sig) with a.questionHash = Q2 != Q1, a.answerType = 0, a.answer = 1, panelSize 7, quorum 5, agreed 5, signed by a registry attester in the vault's domain.

      Actual: check() returns 0, SwarmAnswered is emitted and the next poke finalizes the submission as Accepted (the doer is credited R - 10%).

      Expected (oracle-consumer reference, 'Binding an answer to its request'): the attestation is ignored because its questionHash is not the one stored for rid.

    • infoDead parameters: `nft` and `delegateRegistry` of a ParamsRegistry version are never used; votes always go through the immutable VotePowercontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:185

      Item 14 (COMMENTS VS CODE) / item 5. ParamsRegistry.sol:18-19 says a new version 'may name other counterparties (intake, nft, delegateRegistry, devPrices), which then judge every task created under it', and ParamsBounds.validate requires nft != 0.

      DisputeDesk.vote discards the nft and delegateRegistry fields of voteParams and asks the immutable votePower (constructor argument) whose NFT and delegate registry are fixed at launch 1. docs/MECHANICS.md ('NFT votes are counted by VotePower (launch 1)') matches the code; the registry comment and the parameter fields do not. No money effect; a future version that 'rotates' the NFT or the delegate registry through the registry would silently do nothing.

      Propose and activate a version 2 with nft = X and delegateRegistry = Y; create a task under it, dispute a submission, vote: ownership is still read from VotePower.nft (launch 1 value), not X; delegations from Y are not honoured. Expected per ParamsRegistry.sol:18-19: X and Y judge the task; actual: unchanged behaviour.

    • infoComment drift: `Appeal.spent` is never reimbursed; a winning stranger gets `bondFixedImd` off the loser's IMD bond, a winning side gets nothing backcontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:245

      Item 14. _settleDecided credits a winning appellant who is neither the doer nor the disputer min(p.bondFixedImd, penaltyImd) (DisputeDesk.sol:641-645) and never reads a.spent; a winning doer or disputer who paid the fee out of their bond gets nothing back (docs/MECHANICS.md 'Swarm fees are not refunded ... the one exception: a third party ... gets 0.5 IMD'). The field comment promises a reimbursement of spent to any winning caller.

      Docs win, so this is drift, not a bug; spent is written in _charge and read nowhere.

      Doer appeals a Reject decision (fee 0.5 IMD taken from the doer bond, a.spent = 0.5e18), the swarm answers yes: the doer is credited f.bond.imd - sideSpent.doer = 0 and a.funds = 0; nothing of spent comes back. A stranger appellant who wins is credited exactly bondFixedImd (0.5 IMD), whatever spent was.

    • infoComment drift: `Contribution.ever` says a contributor who wins gets only their bond back; the code pays every winner their full sharecontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:181

      Item 14. _settleDecided / _splitCurrency give the author, a contributor or the doer-contributor the same winner share as anyone (DisputeDesk.sol:614-615 and docs/MECHANICS.md 'Winner who put money into the task'). IVault.isContributor is exposed but no desk reads it; ever only gates nothing in the money paths. The field comment describes a rule that was removed.

      Author A disputes an active submission on their own task and wins (Rejected, NFT right): claimDisputer(A) pays A's bond plus the pro-rata share of the doer bond penalty (disputerReward), not only the bond. Expected per the comment: only the bond back.

    • infoTrust assumption: the dev wallet redirects every future ETH, USDC and IMD burn share at once with setBuybackWallet (no delay), read live at payoutcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:670

      Item 5 (ACCESS RIGHTS), worst case per key, documented for completeness (docs/MECHANICS.md names setBuybackWallet as a dev parameter, so not a finding).

      A stolen DevPrices-owner key can (a) point the buyback wallet to any address with one transaction and from then on receive, in the same transaction as each staked-doer payout, the burn share half + nftPart - toVoters (up to 7.5% of R on an undisputed staked task: the unearned NFT 5% plus half of the stakers' remainder) in ETH, USDC or IMD, plus everything waiting in the BuybackBurner through forward; (b) cancel any open task (cancelTask), which refunds everyone and voids YOLO Predict markets (a way to save a losing position); (c) move the three prices 10x per transaction, changing only the stake bonus of new submissions.

      It cannot take rewards, bonds, credits or $YOLO (which only goes to 0x...dEaD). The 48 h timelock of the registry does not cover the dev wallet.

      Dev key K calls BuybackBurner.setBuybackWallet(attacker).

      Next accepted submission of a staked doer on a 100 USDC task with no dispute: _payReward -> bank.burn(USDC, 0.5e6 + 5e6) -> _burn sends 5.5 USDC straight to attacker (Paid event) in the payout transaction.

      Expected under the documented trust model: the dev wallet's buyback address; so no code defect, a key risk to list.

    • infoStale attester proposals never expire: an executed-later removal can silence the swarm long after the owner forgot itcontracts/src/ParamsRegistry.sol:186

      Item 5 hardening. attesterChangeEta[(attester, allowed)] stays executable forever once its eta passed (no expiry, no re-proposal needed) and execution is permissionless.

      If the owner proposes a removal (for a planned rotation), executes the addition of the new key, and never executes or cancels the removal, anyone can execute the removal at any later moment, e.g. right after the old key was re-added as the only live signer, turning every pending answer into silence (fees of the callers stay spent, at most 3 times per submission, as documented).

      The owner can always cancel, so this is operational hygiene; a grace window (eta + 7 days) would remove the foot-gun.

      t0: owner proposes (A,false) and (B,true); t0+48h: anyone executes (B,true); owner forgets (A,false). t0+1y: B is removed through a proper proposal, A is the only attester again; anyone executes the one-year-old (A,false): LastAttester reverts only if attesterCount == 1 at that moment, so if a third key C exists the removal of A lands and every open case asked while A signs becomes silence.

    • infoYoloPredict: a position placed with negligible time left on a very long task rounds to 0 points and takes no share of the losing pool; with only such positions on the winning side settle pays the losicontracts/src/YoloPredict.sol:286

      Item 9 (points zero / last-claimant). _points floors twice; with effPosition = 0.9e18 (the 1 YOLO minimum) and remaining / duration < ~1e-9 the points are 0 (a task with a deadline more than ~30 years away and a position in its last second).

      The position still pays the 5% burn and 5% deferred, cannot win anything beyond its own 90%, and if every WILL DO position is like that m.willDoPointsTotal == 0 makes settle (YoloPredict.sol:209) hand the whole WON'T DO pool to the author and doer as if nobody had predicted WILL DO, while those predictors get their 90% back through claim.

      No money is stuck (claims + burn + deferred + the NoWinner payout still sum to the positions); the edge is only reachable with absurd deadlines, so informational.

      If wanted: refuse points == 0 in predict (revert) so a position always has weight.

      createTask with deadline = now + 40 years (allowed: any future deadline).

      At deadline - 1 s, P predicts WILL DO 1e18: mid = 0.9e18 * 1 / 1.26e9 = 714285714, points = 714285714 * 1 / 1.26e9 = 0.

      Q predicted WON'T DO 100e18 at creation.

      Task Completed: settle sees willDoPointsTotal == 0 and wontDoPool = 90e18 != 0 -> 45e18 to the author and 45e18 to the doer; P.claim pays 0.9e18 only.

      Expected by the YOLO.md rule ('winners get their 90% plus the losing pool by points'): P, the only winner, takes the losing pool.

  5. Audit permissionsAgent #656found 1 medium, 3 low, 3 info

    The review is complete and recorded in .imd-findings.json (7 entries, all snippets verified against the tree). No critical or high finding, so no proof files were required.

    Verdict. Deployable from the access-control, trust-gap and asymmetry standpoint. No path pulls a user's tokens without their own call: every transferFrom source is msg.sender or the vault-appended sender, _fundCall reads a.appellant that was just set from _sender(), routed/only(...) guards hold on every desk entry point, the vault's onlyDesk bank functions are not routable, wire is single-shot and transaction-bound, and onOracleResult is bound to the task's Intake. Owner powers match the documented rules (future-version parameters behind 48 h, pause of creation only, one-time sweetener binding, dev cancel with full refunds).

    Findings written:

    • Medium, DisputeDesk.sol:296. The disputer may call the swarm or appeal for the doer's side. If the swarm then sides with the doer, the disputer is counted as a winning caller and is credited part of its own forfeited dispute bond (half of the IMD penalty, a quarter of the reward-currency penalty). That cuts the doer's rule-based share. At a 10,000 USDC reward the doer loses 25 USDC plus 0.25 IMD. Fix: mirror DoerCannotDispute for the disputer standing with the doer.
    • Low, TaskVault.sol:477. An answer is bound to a request only by the Intake id and sender; the signed question hash and oracle UUID are never compared, so a misdelivered attestation for another case is accepted. Trust gap on the Intake writer.
    • Low, YoloLockHub.sol:111. A lock that lapsed after the submission and was re-termed without a withdrawal keeps its epoch, so the stake bonus still pays at payout.
    • Low, BuybackBurner.sol:122. pull lets anyone make the burner call withdraw(address) on any address.
    • Info. Two comment-versus-code drifts (quoteSubmission add-on bond, Burned event routing) and the scope note on payout amounts.

    Coverage. All of contracts/src/ read in full except helpers/TextRules.sol and OracleAttestation.sol (text validation and the struct hash, outside this order's focus). forge build succeeded with warnings. A scratch scenario test for the medium finding compiled but its setUp hit WiringClosed under forge's test preprocessor, so the numeric claim was verified by hand-tracing _settleDecided and _splitCurrency, not by a passing run. The scratch file was removed and the tree is clean.

    • mediumDispute party may call the swarm for the opposite side and share in its own forfeited bond (asymmetry)contracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:296

      The doer is barred from standing against their own submission (DoerCannotDispute in appeal/callSwarm), but the disputer is not barred from standing WITH the doer. When the disputer calls callSwarm(subId, sidesDoer=true, ...) (NoDecision) or appeals a Reject decision, _fundCall treats them as a stranger: they post a fresh dispute bond a.bond and the fee.

      At settlement _settleDecided then counts that same wallet as the winning caller whenever the swarm sides with the doer: winnerBonds = doerBond + a.bond, and _splitCurrency credits appPart = winnerShare * a.bond / winnerBonds to the disputer out of the penalty that is the disputer's OWN forfeited dispute bond.

      If instead the swarm sides against the doer, the disputer is the sole winner and (NFT undecided, 100% to the winning side) gets their lost caller bond back in full. So a disputer who expects to lose can hedge: instead of losing the whole dispute bond to the doer, they pay one swarm fee and claw back half of the IMD penalty (0.25 of 0.5 IMD) and a quarter of the reward-currency penalty (a.bond.rew 1% vs doerBond.rew 3%).

      Rule broken (docs/MECHANICS.md, Money and fees): the loser's bond goes to the winning side (the doer); here part of it returns to the loser. Loss at a 10,000 USDC reward: the penalty rew part is 100 USDC; the doer receives 75 USDC instead of 100, and 0.25 IMD instead of 0.5 IMD; the disputer's net cost is the 0.5 IMD fee, so the hedge is profitable from roughly R >= 1,000 USDC.

      Smallest fix: in appeal and callSwarm revert when sender == d.disputer && sidesDoer (mirror DoerCannotDispute), or in _settleDecided exclude an appellant who is also the losing dispute party from the winner split of its own penalty.

      State: task with reward R = 10,000 USDC by author; doer submits; dave disputes (bond 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC); NFT vote ends undecided (or the NFT decides Reject).

      Action: dave calls vault.callSwarm(subId, true, max, noSwap, rt) (or vault.appeal(subId, max, noSwap) after a Reject decision, then anyone askAppealSwarm); dave posts a second bond 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC plus the 0.5 IMD fee.

      The Intake delivers answer = true (accepted).

      Expected (rule: loser's bond to the winning side): doer is credited the whole penalty 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC (plus own bond back); dave gets only his caller bond back.

      Actual (_splitCurrency with winnerBonds = doerBond + a.bond): dave is credited appPart = 0.50.5/(0.5+0.5) = 0.25 IMD and 100100/(300+100) = 25 USDC of his own forfeited dispute bond, plus his caller bond; the doer gets 0.25 IMD and 75 USDC.

      Check with vault.credits(usdc, dave) and vault.credits(usdc, doer) after vault.poke(taskId).

    • lowSwarm answer is not bound to its question: any attestation signed for the vault is accepted under any pending request id the Intake namescontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:477

      onOracleResult binds an answer to a submission only by the Intake request id (_requests[requestId]) and msg.sender == via.intake. The signed a.questionHash is never compared with the questionHash stored at ask time (SwarmRequest.questionHash, documented as 'checks nothing', SwarmQuestion.sol:26 'UNVERIFIED'), and a.requestId (the oracle UUID) is not consumed either.

      The pairing of an answer to its question is therefore entirely the Intake writer's: an attestation issued for submission A's question, delivered by the Intake under submission B's request id, is recorded as B's final verdict and settles B's reward and bonds. A panel's 'yes' on an easy question thereby decides a different case.

      This is a trust gap on the Intake (a trusted party per docs/MECHANICS.md), so low rather than high; it is also what the oracle-consumer reference asks consumers to check.

      Smallest fix: store the hash the plane actually signs for the question (or pin the absolute question body) and in onOracleResult ignore the answer (AttestationIgnored) when a.questionHash != r.questionHash; additionally consume a.requestId once.

      State: two submissions A and B of two tasks, both in Phase.Asked (e.g. both called the swarm), with Intake request ids ridA and ridB and different questions.

      Action: the Intake (MockIntake.complete in the test suite, or the real writer) calls vault.onOracleResult(ridB, attA, sigA) where attA is the attestation the attester signed for A's question (any questionHash, requestId = A's UUID).

      Expected: ignored (AttestationIgnored) because the signed question is not B's.

      Actual: attestationChecker.check returns 0 (domain, panel and signer are fine), _recordAnswer marks ridB answered with A's answer, and poke(taskB) finalizes B as Accepted/Rejected on it.

    • lowLapsed stake lock re-termed before payout still passes the 'same lock still running' checkcontracts/src/YoloLockHub.sol:111

      The payout condition for the doer stake bonus is 'the same lock, never withdrawn, still running' (docs/MECHANICS.md, doer stake). stakePower enforces 'same lock' through epoch, but epoch only increments in withdraw.

      A lock that ENDED after the submission and was set again with a new term by lock(0, weeks) keeps its epoch (the code comment in lock says 'a lock set again starts afresh', yet the checkpoint carries the old epoch), so stakePower returns the power recorded at the submission although that lock did not run continuously.

      A doer whose short lock lapses during a long dispute can therefore restore the up-to-4% bonus with one cheap lock(0, 1) call right before the payout is poked, instead of forfeiting it as a doer who withdrew would.

      Bounded: at most 4% of R, taken from the stakers' 5% fee share (half burn, half treasury), and the tokens do stay in the hub, so low.

      Smallest fix: bump epoch whenever a lock is set while end <= block.timestamp in lock (a re-lock is a new lock), or compare p.end > block.timestamp of the point at since.

      State: doer calls hub.lock(1000e18, 1) (power 1000e18/52) at t0; at t0+1 the doer submits to a task whose author reward in YOLO is <= that power (stakeBps = 400); the submission is disputed and the case runs more than 7 days (vote 24 h, swarm calls).

      At t0 + 7 days the lock ends; nothing is withdrawn.

      Right before the finalizing poke, the doer calls hub.lock(0, 1) again.

      Expected: stakePower(doer, submittedAt) = 0 (the lock behind the submission ended; a fresh lock started).

      Actual: locks[doer].epoch is unchanged and l.end > block.timestamp, so stakePower returns the old power and _payReward credits the doer r * 400 / 10000 on top of 90% of R.

    • lowBuybackBurner.pull lets anyone make the burner call withdraw(address) on an arbitrary addresscontracts/src/BuybackBurner.sol:122

      pull(vault, token) is permissionless and does not check that vault is the protocol's vault. Anyone can make the BuybackBurner (which holds the burn shares in ETH, USDC, IMD and YOLO) issue a call with selector withdraw(address) from its own address to any contract with any argument.

      Today this cannot move the burner's balances (it never approves anything, and the three tokens have no withdraw(address) entry point acting on msg.sender), so it is a hardening finding, but a future token or a contract that interprets withdraw(address) as an action of the caller would be reachable with the burner as msg.sender.

      Smallest fix: take the vault address as an immutable constructor argument (or a dev-set address) and drop the parameter, or restrict pull to a known vault list.

      Deploy any contract C with function withdraw(address) external that records msg.sender.

      Call burner.pull(address(C), address(0)) from any EOA.

      Expected: revert (not the protocol vault).

      Actual: C.withdraw is executed with msg.sender == address(burner).

    • infoComment vs code: quoteSubmission promises a 3% part on the $YOLO add-on that the bond does not havecontracts/src/interfaces/ITaskVault.sol:56

      The interface says the doer bond includes 3% of a $YOLO add-on. The code (Desk._doerBond, CaseDesk.submit, docs/MECHANICS.md 'no $YOLO add-on') takes 0.5 IMD + 3% of the author's own reward only; the add-on is never bonded. Docs win over comments, so this is drift in the public interface comment: fix the comment.

      Create a task with reward 100 USDC, sweeten it with 1,000,000 YOLO, call vault.quoteSubmission(taskId).

      Expected per the comment: a YOLO part of 30,000 YOLO.

      Actual: Bond{imd: 0.5e18, rew: 3e6} with no add-on part.

    • infoComment vs code: the Burned event says $YOLO goes straight to 0x…dEaD, the vault sends it to the BuybackBurnercontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:364

      TaskVault._burn pays $YOLO to the BuybackBurner (where it waits for anyone's burnYolo) and sends ETH/USDC/IMD to the buyback wallet with the burner only as the fallback. The event comment states the opposite routing for both. docs/MECHANICS.md ('Where a burn goes') agrees with the code, so this is comment drift only.

      Accept a $YOLO-reward submission without a dispute and read the Paid event next to Burned: the $YOLO fee is paid to vault.burner(), not to 0x…dEaD; a USDC burn share on a staked doer is paid to burner.buybackWallet(), not to the BuybackBurner.

    • mediumThe disputer may call the swarm for the doer's side and claw back part of its own forfeited dispute bondcontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:296

      Item 8 / item 11. appeal and callSwarm bar only the doer from standing against their own submission (DoerCannotDispute). The one disputer is not barred from standing WITH the doer: with sidesDoer = true _fundCall treats the disputer as a stranger (else branch: posts a second bond a.bond and pays the fee from the wallet).

      At settlement, when the swarm sides with the doer, _settleDecided computes callerWins = true, the penalty is the disputer's own dispute bond, winnerBonds = doerBond + a.bond, and _splitCurrency credits appPart = winnerShare * a.bond / winnerBonds to the disputer out of its own forfeited bond; its caller bond also comes back in full (line 700-704).

      If the swarm instead sides against the doer, the disputer is the sole winner and takes the doer bond plus its own lost caller bond back.

      So, once a dispute reaches NoDecision (or a Reject decision is appealable), calling the swarm for the doer's side strictly dominates calling for its own side for the disputer: the only extra cost is the 0.5 IMD fee. docs/MECHANICS.md ('Loser's bonds (penalty)' and 'NFT undecided or wrong: 100% to the winning side') says the loser's bond goes to the winning side; here a quarter of the reward-currency penalty and half of the IMD penalty return to the loser.

      Loss at a 10,000 USDC reward (NFT undecided): the doer receives 75 USDC and 0.25 IMD of the disputer's bond instead of 100 USDC and 0.5 IMD. The hedge is profitable for the disputer from roughly R >= 100 IMD-equivalents.

      Smallest fix: in appeal and callSwarm revert when sender == d.disputer && sidesDoer (mirror DoerCannotDispute), or in _settleDecided give an appellant who is also the losing dispute party no share of its own penalty. Reproduced by reading _fundCall (line 296), _penaltyAndWinnerBonds, _settleDecided (lines 626-704) and _splitCurrency (line 772-773).

      State: task with reward R = 10,000 USDC; doer submits; dave disputes (bond 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC); the NFT vote ends undecided (NoDecision).

      Action: dave calls vault.callSwarm(subId, true, maxImdIn, noSwap, rt), posting a second bond 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC and the 0.5 IMD fee; the Intake answers true.

      Expected (docs: loser's bond to the winning side): the doer is credited the whole penalty 0.5 IMD + 100 USDC plus their own bond; dave gets only his caller bond back.

      Actual: _splitCurrency with winnerBonds = (0.5 IMD + 300 USDC) + (0.5 IMD + 100 USDC) credits dave appPart = 0.25 IMD and 25 USDC of his own forfeited dispute bond plus his caller bond; the doer gets 0.25 IMD and 75 USDC.

      Measured on this commit (contracts/test/scratch/DisputerSidesDoerProof.t.sol, and the same scenario on the repo's Base fixture): dave's credits 125 USDC and 0.75 IMD, the doer's 9375 USDC and 0.75 IMD; dave spent 100 USDC and 1 IMD from the wallet for the call.

      The same holds for vault.appeal(subId, ...) by the disputer after a Reject decision (sidesDoer = true at line 212).

      The attached test fails now with 125000000 != 100000000 and passes once the disputer is barred from siding with the doer or excluded from the split of its own penalty.

    • lowYoloLockHub.stakePower pays the submission-time power after the lock ended and was re-locked without a withdrawalcontracts/src/YoloLockHub.sol:111

      Item 10.

      The payout rule (docs/MECHANICS.md 'Doer stake condition': 'the same lock, never withdrawn, still running'; DeskApi.sol IDoerStake: '0 once that lock ended or was withdrawn') is enforced through epoch, which only grows in withdraw(). lock(add, weeks) on a lock whose end already passed starts a new term with old = 0 (line 66) but keeps l.epoch (lines 83-84), so _pointBefore(who, since) still finds the original point (same epoch, p.end > since) and stakePower returns the ORIGINAL power although that lock ended before the payout and the new term may be a one-week lock of the same tokens (live power amount/52).

      A doer whose lock lapses during a long dispute restores the up-to-4% bonus with one lock(0, 1) call right before the finalizing poke, where a doer who withdrew gets 0.

      Bounded: at most 4% of R, taken from the stakers' half-burn/half-treasury part; the tokens stay in the hub. Related (not a bug, documented 'At payout ... still running'): the bonus also depends on WHEN the payout is poked, a lock ending between the window end and the first poke forfeits it; the doer protects themself by poking.

      Smallest fix: in lock(), bump epoch when l.end <= block.timestamp before the new term is set (a re-lock is another lock), or in stakePower also require p.end > block.timestamp / l.end == p.end. Three specialists reported this (economics, math, permissions); merged. Reproduced with the attached test: it fails now with 19230769230769230769 != 0 and passes once a re-lock of an ended lock counts as a new lock.

      t0: doer.lock(1000e18, 1) -> end t0+7d, power 1000e18/52, epoch 0. since = t0+6d (the submission; powerAt = 1000e18/52, so the submission is staked). t0+7d: stakePower(doer, since) == 0 (ended). doer.lock(0, 1) with no withdrawal: end -> t0+14d, epoch still 0.

      Expected: stakePower(doer, since) == 0 (as after withdraw() + lock(), epoch 1).

      Actual: 19230769230769230769, so DisputeDesk._lockRuns is true and _payReward credits the bonus.

    • lowSwarm answers are not bound to their question: the stored questionHash is never compared with the attestationcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:477

      Item 8. onOracleResult binds an answer to a submission only through the Intake request id (_requests[requestId]) and msg.sender == via.intake; the attestation is then checked for domain, window, panel minimums and signer. The signed a.questionHash is never compared with the SwarmRequest.questionHash stored at ask time (VaultTypes.sol:283 documents it as 'checks nothing'), and a.requestId (the oracle UUID) is not consumed.

      The pairing of an answer to its question is therefore entirely the Intake writer's: an attestation issued for submission A's question delivered under submission B's request id is recorded as B's verdict and settles B's reward and bonds. The pinned oracle-consumer reference ('Binding an answer to its request') asks a consumer that asks a different question per request to compare the question hash first.

      Low because the Intake is a trusted party per docs/MECHANICS.md and the docs list the plane's questionHash formula as unverified; adding the check with an unconfirmed formula would turn every answer into silence.

      Smallest fix: confirm the formula the plane signs, then in onOracleResult ignore the answer (AttestationIgnored) when a.questionHash != r.questionHash, and consume a.requestId once. Two specialists reported this (economics, permissions); merged. Reproduced by reading onOracleResult (lines 459-482) and the SwarmRequest struct.

      Item 14. Desk._doerBond (Desk.sol:127-130) takes 0.5 IMD + 3% of the author's own reward only; docs/MECHANICS.md says 'no $YOLO add-on'. Fix the interface comment.

      Task with reward 100 USDC sweetened with 1,000,000 YOLO: quoteSubmission returns Bond{imd: 0.5e18, rew: 3e6}, no add-on part.

    • infoTrust assumption: the dev wallet redirects every future ETH, USDC and IMD burn share at once with setBuybackWalletcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:670

      Item 5, worst case per key, documented as a trust assumption (docs/MECHANICS.md names setBuybackWallet as a dev parameter).

      A stolen DevPrices-owner key can (a) point the buyback wallet anywhere with no delay and receive the burn share (up to 7.5% of R on an undisputed staked task) in ETH/USDC/IMD at each payout plus everything waiting in the BuybackBurner through forward; (b) cancel any open task, voiding YoloPredict markets; (c) move the three prices 10x per step, changing only the stake bonus of new submissions. It cannot take rewards, bonds, credits or $YOLO.

      The 48 h registry timelock does not cover the dev wallet. No code defect.

      Dev key calls BuybackBurner.setBuybackWallet(attacker); the next accepted staked submission on a 100 USDC task sends 5.5 USDC to attacker in the payout transaction.

    • infoAttester proposals never expire: a forgotten removal stays executable by anyone forevercontracts/src/ParamsRegistry.sol:190

      Item 5 hardening. attesterChangeEta has no upper bound and executeAttester is permissionless, so a removal proposed for a rotation and never executed or cancelled can be executed at any later moment (LastAttester only blocks it when the count is 1), silencing answers signed by that key. The owner can always cancel; a grace window (eta + 7 days) would remove the foot-gun.

      t0: owner proposes (A,false) and (B,true); executes (B,true) only. Later, with keys A and C live, anyone executes the old (A,false): A's pending answers become silence.

    • infoYoloPredict: a zero-point WILL DO winner is treated as absent by settlecontracts/src/YoloPredict.sol:209

      Item 9. The no-winner branch keys on points, not on the pool. _points floors twice, so a 1-YOLO position placed in the last second of a task with a term above ~30 years gets 0 points: it pays burn and deferred, cannot win, and if every WILL DO position is like that the WON'T DO pool goes to the author and doer while the predictor only gets their 90% back. Accounting stays balanced; unreachable with realistic terms (a year-long task still gives ~900 points for 1 YOLO at 1 s).

      If wanted: revert in predict when points == 0. Two specialists reported this; merged.

      createTask with deadline = now + 40 years; Q predicts WON'T DO 100e18 at creation; at deadline - 1 s, P predicts WILL DO 1e18: points = 0. Task Completed: settle pays 45e18 + 45e18 to author and doer, P.claim pays 0.9e18.

    • info_trySend ERC20 branch would count a call to a code-less token as a successful transfercontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:754

      Item 3 hardening. A raw call to an address without code returns ok with empty data, which this branch treats as success, reducing liabilities without moving tokens.

      Not reachable: usdc, imd and yolo are immutables with code at launch and cannot self-destruct post-Cancun; no other token is ever paid. A token.code.length != 0 check closes it.

      Only with a code-less token address, which the constructor cannot produce on this deployment.

    • infoScope note: payout amounts and role scenarios are separate orderscontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:616

      As the brief asks, one line: the exact payout arithmetic of _settleDecided/_payReward/_splitCurrency and the role-by-role scenario matrix were not audited as a deliverable here; only their access, trust and asymmetry aspects were checked (the medium finding came out of that).

      Not applicable (scope note).

    • infoCoverage: files read, specialist findings reproduced, build and test resultcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:2

      Item 15.

      Read in full: YoloLockHub.sol, DisputeDesk.sol (lines 136-784), the vault's routing, oracle callback, collect and burn paths (TaskVault.sol 178-235, 440-520, 536-560, 660-795), Desk.sol modifiers and _sender, BuybackBurner.pull, ParamsRegistry attester functions, YoloPredict settle and _points, the cited VaultTypes, ITaskVault and ParamsRegistry comments, docs/MECHANICS.md rules on the swarm, the doer stake, the burner and the penalty split.

      Item 1 traced: every safeTransferFrom in src (TaskVault.sol:555, 696, 769, 787; YoloLockHub.sol:85; DareTrophy.sol:114; YoloPredict.sol:167; YoloSweetener.sol:102; UniswapV3SwapAdapter.sol:65) pulls from msg.sender or from the sender the vault appended (fallback appends msg.sender, desks require msg.sender == vault, collect* are onlyDesk), so no path spends another wallet's allowance.

      Not reached in this review: CaseDesk.sol, YoloSweetener, DareTrophy, TrophyCatalog, the token/ contracts, HiddenList, VotePower internals and the cancel paths beyond _settleNeutral. All 24 specialist findings were checked against the code: the 3 relock reports, 2 questionHash, 2 pull, 2 Contribution.ever, 2 Burned-event and 2 zero-point reports were merged; the poke-time note was folded into the relock finding; nothing was dropped as non-reproducing.

      Build and test: forge 1.8.3, via_ir. The full 'forge build' of src plus all 40 test files was stopped by the runner's 10-minute limit before finishing, so the existing suite was not run.

      A separate profile (src + scratch tests only) compiled cleanly in about 3 minutes; the attached proofs ran there: StakePowerRelock.t.sol fails with 19230769230769230769 != 0 (reference test passes); DisputerSidesDoerProof.t.sol fails with 125000000 != 100000000; the repo's own MaxImdInCap.t.sol passes under the same profile.

      Note for the verifier: on forge 1.8.3 the repo's Base.t.sol fixture reverts WiringClosed in setUp because the desks' transient wiring flag does not survive separate top-level creates from the test contract; the audit tests deploy desks and vault through a helper contract (AuditCore) and work, so the two proofs follow that pattern.

      Not applicable (coverage note).

    #866Claudefound 1 medium, 2 low, 14 info

    The review is complete. The judged findings are in .imd-findings.json at the repository root, and the working tree is clean apart from ignored build output.

    Verdict. No critical or high defect reproduced. The code is deployable as far as this review reaches; the one medium is a bounded hedge, not a theft path. Build passes and the full suite passes (670 tests, 1 skipped, fork tests excluded).

    Kept, after reproducing on the code

    • Medium, DisputeDesk.sol:296. The disputer may call the swarm or appeal on the doer's side, is treated as a stranger caller, and when the swarm then sides with the doer is paid a pro-rata share of the penalty that is their own forfeited dispute bond. Reproduced on the Base fixture with a 10,000 USDC task: the doer is credited 9,375 USDC and 0.75 IMD instead of 9,400 USDC and 1 IMD, the disputer gets 25 USDC and 0.25 IMD of their own bond back. If the swarm says no, the disputer recovers the caller bond in full, so the hedge costs only the 0.5 IMD fee. Fix: mirror DoerCannotDispute for a disputer siding with the doer.
    • Low, YoloLockHub.sol:111. A lock that ended after the submission and is re-armed with lock(0, 1) keeps its epoch, so stakePower revives the submission-time power and the up-to-4% bonus. Three specialists reported this; merged into one, with the specialists' PoC attached, which fails on this commit.
    • Low, TaskVault.sol:477. The callback never compares the stored question hash with the signed one. A trusted-writer gap, documented binding is by request id only, so kept at low. Two specialists merged.
    • Fourteen info entries. Comment drifts (Appeal.spent, Contribution.ever, Burned event, dispute ETH pot, quoteSubmission add-on, stranger fee cap, dead nft/delegateRegistry params), hardening notes (BuybackBurner.pull arbitrary call, attester proposals never expire, _trySend code-less token), the dev-key trust assumption, the poke-time dependence of the stake bonus, the zero-point YoloPredict edge, and the required scope line on payout amounts.

    Judgement calls. BuybackBurner.pull was downgraded from low to info: no approvals, no value, no reachable loss. The medium carries no self-contained proof because a proof needs the fixture's mocks, which the proof rules forbid importing; the reproduction states the exact calls and numbers instead. The independent check of every token pull site confirmed from is always msg.sender or the vault-appended sender behind the routed guard.

    • mediumDisputeDesk: the disputer may call the swarm (or appeal) FOR the doer and is then paid a share of its own forfeited dispute bondcontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:296

      Actual: credits(usdc, doer) = 9,375,000,000, credits(imd, doer) = 0.75e18, credits(usdc, dave) = 125,000,000, credits(imd, dave) = 0.75e18 (the test assertion doer should get the whole penalty: 9375000000 != 9400000000 fails).

    • lowYoloLockHub.stakePower: a lock that ended after the submission and was re-armed with lock(0, 1) (no withdrawal) still returns the submission-time power, reviving the doer bonuscontracts/src/YoloLockHub.sol:111

Merged from audit_economics #1, audit_math #1 and audit_permissions #3 (same mechanism, same fix); the attached PoC is the specialists' and fails on this commit.

      contracts/test/scratch/StakePowerRelock.t.sol (attached): t0: doer lock(1000e18, 1) -> end t0+7d, power 1000e18/52 = 19230769230769230769, epoch 0; since = t0+6d: powerAt(doer, since) = 19230769230769230769 (what CaseDesk._stakeBps reads at the submission). t0+7d: stakePower(doer, since) = 0 (ended).

      Doer calls lock(0, 1): end t0+14d, epoch still 0.

      Expected: stakePower(doer, since) = 0 (as after withdraw() + lock(1000e18, 1), the reference test).

    • lowTaskVault.onOracleResult never compares the signed questionHash with the one stored at ask time: an attestation for another question settles the casecontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:477

      Item 8. ask() stores t.questionHash in SwarmRequest.questionHash (VaultTypes.sol:283: 'checks nothing') but onOracleResult binds an answer to a submission only by the Intake request id, msg.sender == via.intake, the panel numbers and the signature in the vault's domain; a.questionHash is never compared and a.requestId (the oracle UUID) is never consumed.

    • infoBuybackBurner.pull makes an unrestricted outbound call withdraw(address) to any caller-chosen address from the burnercontracts/src/BuybackBurner.sol:122

      Actual: C.withdraw executes with msg.sender == address(burner).

      Balances unchanged.

    • infoDoer stake bonus depends on when the payout is poked, not only on the submission and the judging periodcontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:728

      Poke at submittedAt + 25 h: stakePower != 0, Settlement.stakeBps = 7, doer credited 93,070,000.

      Same state, first poke at submittedAt + 8 days (lock ended): stakeBps = 0, doer credited 93,000,000, the 70,000 to the treasury pot.

    • infoDead parameters: a version's nft and delegateRegistry are never used; votes always go through the immutable VotePowercontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:185

      Item 14. spent is written in DisputeDesk._charge (line 325) and read nowhere (grep -rn '\.spent' contracts/src).

    • infoComment drift: Contribution.ever says a contributor who wins gets only their bond back; every winner gets the full sharecontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:181

    • infoComment drift: the Burned event says $YOLO goes straight to 0x...dEaD and other tokens to the BuybackBurner; the vault does the reversecontracts/src/VaultTypes.sol:364

    • infoComment drift: the money-rules comment lists a 'dispute ETH pot' bucket that does not existcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:49

      Item 14. There is no ETH dispute fee (docs/MECHANICS.md: 'No ETH fee') and no such bucket: dispute() books only bond.imd and bond.rew through collectImd/collectBondPart. From audit_flow #4.

      grep -rn 'ETH pot' contracts/src matches only this comment line; no state variable or write exists.

    • infoComment drift: quoteSubmission promises a 3% part on the $YOLO add-on that the doer bond does not havecontracts/src/interfaces/ITaskVault.sol:56

      Item 14. Desk._doerBond (Desk.sol:127-130) takes 0.5 IMD + 3% of the author's own reward only; docs/MECHANICS.md 'Doer bond' says 'no $YOLO add-on'. The public interface comment is wrong. From audit_permissions #5.

      Create a 100 USDC task, sweeten it with 1,000,000 YOLO, call vault.quoteSubmission(taskId): Bond{imd: 0.5e18, rew: 3e6}, no add-on part.

    • infoComment drift: a winning stranger's 0.5 IMD is capped by what the loser's IMD bond has left after that side's own swarm callcontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:641

    • infoTrust assumption: the dev wallet redirects every future ETH, USDC and IMD burn share at once with setBuybackWallet, read live at payoutcontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:670

    • infoStale attester proposals never expire: a forgotten removal stays executable by anyone forevercontracts/src/ParamsRegistry.sol:186

    • infoYoloPredict: a WILL DO position whose points floor to 0 is treated as absent by settle, so the WON'T DO pool goes to author and doercontracts/src/YoloPredict.sol:209

      Item 9. _points floors twice (line 286-287); with the 1 YOLO minimum (effPosition 0.9e18) and remaining / duration < ~1e-9 the points are 0 (a deadline more than ~30 years away and a position in its last second).

    • info_trySend's ERC20 branch would count a call to a code-less token address as a successful transfercontracts/src/TaskVault.sol:754

      Item 3 hardening. A raw token.call returning ok with empty data is accepted, so a token address without code would reduce liabilities and emit Paid with nothing moving.

      Not reachable here: usdc, imd and yolo are immutables with code at launch, cannot self-destruct post-Cancun, and no other token is ever paid. A token.code.length != 0 check or SafeERC20's pattern closes it. From audit_flow #2.

      Only with a code-less token address, which the constructor cannot produce for the three live ERC-20s. No failing input on this deployment.

    • infoScope note: payout amounts and role scenarios are separate orders and were not audited as a deliverable herecontracts/src/desks/DisputeDesk.sol:616

      As the assignment asks, one line: the exact payout arithmetic of _settleDecided/_payReward/_splitCurrency and the role-by-role scenario matrix were not checked as their own deliverable; only the access, trust and asymmetry aspects of these paths were reviewed (the medium finding above came out of that). No issue is claimed about the amounts themselves.

      Not applicable (scope note).
