Application files are unchanged.
The five findings have exact source snippets and concrete reproductions:
- bug: settling one close intent unlocks other positions that are still closing. Settling BTC’s close enabled ETH’s Close button while ETH remained queued. Track pending position IDs per intent.
- bug: reconnecting the stream marks stale positions and balances as live. After reconnect, the fixture contained one position and $10,050 equity; the LIVE desk still showed two positions and $10,000. Refresh snapshots before presenting current data.
- bug: a history endpoint failure disables trading and hides successful account reads. A history-only 503 discarded successful account, market and position responses. Load these independently and localize the history error.
- fidelity: streamed candles leave invalidated local-extreme signals on the chart. A new low invalidated STRONG BUY, but its label remained; reloading identical OHLC removed it. Recompute markers during streaming updates.
- bug: a local polling deadline invents an expired intent and drops later confirmation. After 90 queued responses, the toast reported Expired and ignored a subsequent confirmation. Use a nonterminal delayed/unknown state.
Chromium and WebKit passed the mock order flow at 1440px, with layouts checked at 1280, 390 and 320px. All 60 unit tests and the production build passed; rebuilt files matched the supplied export. Without a backend, taste@1 passed 15/16, with expected
/api404s failing render. Live integration, screen readers, physical devices and native zoom remain unverified.PAPER DESK’s visual idea is coherent: a dense trading desk carried by orange terminal chrome, dark surfaces and square edges. The brief’s explicit monospace and terminal styling take precedence over generic design preferences.

Now: Every terminal intent clears the entire closing set, including positions owned by other queued close intents.
Change to: Track closing position IDs per intent and release only the IDs belonging to the settled or rejected request; keep Close all guarded while affected IDs remain pending.
Why: A pending action must remain locked until its own result is known, otherwise a second order can be submitted for the same position.
bug: reconnecting the stream marks stale positions and balances as livesrc/App.tsx:162
Now: Reopening the socket changes the header to LIVE without reconciling snapshots or requesting events missed during the outage.
Change to: On each reconnect, refetch account, positions, markets and history, and reconcile watched intents before presenting the desk as current; retain a reconnecting or synchronizing state until that succeeds.
Why: A trading terminal must not present pre-disconnection risk and balances as current after connectivity returns.
bug: a history endpoint failure disables trading and hides successful account readssrc/App.tsx:92
Now: The five initial REST reads share one Promise.all; a history failure discards the successful account, identity, market and position results. The banner then calls the whole backend unreachable and gives no in-place retry.
Change to: Commit successful reads independently, show the history error and Retry next to that table, and gate the ticket only on its required identity, account and market reads.
Why: Unavailable historical data should not prevent opening or closing positions when the trading endpoints and account are available.
fidelity: streamed candles leave invalidated local-extreme signals on the chartsrc/components/Chart.tsx:260
Now: Intrabar mark updates recalculate the candle and bands but never rerun signal detection or decluttering. A signal remains visible after its fifth right-hand bar makes a more extreme low or high.
Change to: Recompute and apply markers when the forming bar changes, or detect only against fully closed confirmation bars and apply that same rule on initial load and streaming updates.
Why: The brief requires BUY/SELL signals at local extremes with five bars on each side; the rendered signal must continue to satisfy that condition.
bug: a local polling deadline invents an expired intent and drops later confirmationsrc/App.tsx:175
Now: After 90 queued polls the client calls settle with expired, removes the intent from watched, and stops polling even though the backend has never returned a terminal status. A later stream confirmation is ignored.
Change to: Represent the polling timeout as a nonterminal unknown/delayed state with copy such as "Status unknown. Check positions." Keep reconciliation possible through the stream, a retry, or subsequent polling; show Expired only when the backend reports expired.
Why: An intent status toast must say only what the app knows. Backend-queued orders can still execute; claiming expiry can prompt a duplicate trade.
