Produce ONE test edition of Open Interest's daily crypto-discourse brief through the paper's full pipeline: three independent drafts, one selection, one adversarial review. The edition spec that every draft must follow in full:

Produce today's TEST EDITION of a daily crypto-discourse brief. Plain text

only, under 900 words total. This is a drafting rehearsal: quality of voice

and sourcing is the entire point.

FIRST: fetch and obey the house style guide at

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/openinterest-ai/paper/main/style-guide.html

Its rules are binding: declarative sentences, numbers with context, no banned

words (delve, landscape, game-changer, seamless, robust, unlock, tapestry,

paradigm, "it's worth noting", "ever-evolving", emoji), at most one em dash

in the whole edition, absolute dates only, no financial advice.

SOURCES: open platforms only (Farcaster, research blogs, Mirror, Substack,

governance forums, GitHub; X only via open mirrors). Prefer the last 24-48

hours. A claim that cannot be verified against an open-platform source is

cut, and the cut is noted in METHOD. When sources conflict on a figure,

prefer the primary source; otherwise state the range and attribute both.

Cite with the full source URL in square brackets; for these plain-text test

editions this overrides the style guide's numbered-citation example.

STRUCTURE (exactly):

LEAD: a headline (short declarative sentence ending in a full stop), a

2-sentence deck, then 150-250 words. Every factual claim carries a source

URL in brackets.

ALSO TODAY: exactly three items: category tag, one-sentence headline with

full stop, 2-3 sentence summary, at least one source URL each.

READING LIST: 3-5 links, each with a 1-line reason.

METHOD: one closing paragraph: sources swept, hours covered, any items cut

for failed verification and any claims resting on secondary sources.

ACCEPTANCE: the structure above, complete; every claim sourced; under 900

words; no banned words; headlines are declarative sentences with full stops;

absolute dates only (no 'this week', 'yesterday', 'the weekend'); at most

one em dash in the whole edition.

CONTINUITY: before drafting, fetch https://openinterest-ai.github.io/paper/rehearsal.html and the prior test editions linked there. Do NOT lead with a story a prior edition led with unless a material NEW development happened after that edition published; an ongoing story without a new development may appear only in ALSO TODAY, and only with the new angle stated.

  3. Draft bAgent #14741 file changed

I wrote the draft at drafts/b.md. It's 693 words against the 900 cap, and every section is complete.

Lead: Aave froze its markets after a Binance hot wallet drain on 29 October 2026. It draws on LlamaRisk's incident thread and the two follow-up posts on the Aave governance forum (LlamaRisk is Aave's risk provider; the stewards are the ones allowed to change rates and caps):

    • An exploiter wallet borrowed 19,762 WETH (about $44.6M) on Aave before the freeze.
    • Aave froze 175 reserves on 16 V3 networks and 117 on four V4 networks.
    • The stewards held borrow rates at full use of a market to 10% a year and cut borrow caps, removing about $3.7B of unused borrowing room on V3.
    • A staged reopening began on 30 October 2026, with nine assets held by the exploiter's wallets kept at zero value as collateral for new loans.

Continuity: The four earlier test editions led with the Hoodi postponement (twice), stateless computation workers and SEACAST. None of them covered this incident. Test 04 had already covered the STVA wallet-security draft, so it appears only in ALSO TODAY, with the new angle stated: two companion drafts and a reviewer's question from 31 October 2026.

ALSO TODAY: a post-quantum authorization scheme that uses no signatures (Ethereum Research), the new STVA drafts, and Aave Labs finding tokenized Tesla shares technically eligible for listing on Base.

What the draft discloses about its own limits:

    • Secondary source: every Binance-side figure comes from LlamaRisk's tracing. I found no Binance statement on an open platform, and the draft says this in both the lead and METHOD.
    • Cut for failed verification: a forum claim about the size of Binance's holdings, and a claim about a risk provider leaving Aave that rested on one news site.
    • Excluded: a Lido Lend thread I couldn't read in full.

Checks: A script found no banned words, em dashes, en dashes or relative dates, and the file is plain ASCII. Every claim has a full source URL in brackets.

Not committed: git has no author name or email set on this machine. I didn't set one, because configuration files are out of scope for this task. drafts/b.md is written and staged, so the commit still needs to be made by whatever does the upload.

  4. Draft aAgent #17541 file changed

I've written the test edition to drafts/a.md and committed it (3d45141). The commit contains only that file.

Lead: Aave froze its markets after a Binance hot-wallet drain. On 29 October 2026, an address that LlamaRisk (one of Aave's risk providers) calls the exploiter took about 195,000 ETH from two Binance hot wallets. It then put 60M USDT into Aave and borrowed 19,762 WETH, worth about $44.6M. Aave's guardians froze 292 reserves. Cap and rate changes followed, and a four-wave unfreeze is now under way. None of the four prior test editions led with this story: they led with the Hoodi delay (tests 01 and 02), the L1.5 proposal and SEACAST.

    Also today:

    • Cryptography: a 30 October research post on authorizing actions after quantum computers, using proofs instead of signatures, with the author's own speed figures.
    • Wallets: the STVA signing-check draft from test 04, with the new angle stated: two companion drafts and an open question from a reviewer on 31 October.
    • Accounts: EIP-8476, a draft that lets an account permanently opt out of EIP-7702 delegation, with a reviewer's notes on its limits.

    Checks I ran:

    • Length: 637 words including URLs, against the 900 cap. The lead body is 214 words, inside the 150–250 range.
    • Style: no banned words, no em or en dashes, no relative dates and no emoji. The only match was "TODAY" in the "ALSO TODAY" section label.
    • Sources: all 15 cited URLs returned HTTP 200, and every claim carries a bracketed URL.

Limits the edition states in its METHOD paragraph:

    • All the exploit figures come from LlamaRisk, which works for the protocol that froze its markets. I did not replay the transactions or find a Binance statement on an open platform.
    • I cut Binance's confirmed loss total, recovery status and price moves from social posts because I couldn't verify them.
    • The post-quantum speed figures are the author's own measurements.

    For you:

    • The commit is authored as johanstruber with your email. I passed it only to that one command because git had no identity set, and changed no git config.
    • The repo has untracked files I didn't create: dotfiles, .claude/, .gitmodules, .mcp.json, .vscode and others. I left them alone and outside the commit.

  6. AttackAgent #422found 1 medium, 3 low, 1 info

Review complete. Findings are in .imd-findings.json; no other file was touched.

What I checked. I fetched the style guide, the rehearsal page, all four prior test editions, and the raw Discourse JSON for every cited thread, then compared each sentence of edition.txt against the post text and timestamps. All 13 distinct URLs resolve. Mechanical acceptance passes in full:

    CheckResult
    Total words539 (501 excluding URLs)
    Lead body words167
    Em dashes0
    Banned words, emoji, relative datesnone
Longest sentenceunder 35 words, average 15
Structure, headline full stops, source per claimcomplete
Continuityno prior edition led with this story

Every number in the lead matches the source. The 31 October reply by Micah Zoltu is real and falls inside the stated sweep window.

    Defects, ranked:

    • Medium, line 22. The ACCOUNTS headline says the proposal "permanently disables account delegation." The EIP-8476 thread describes an optional per-account opt-out that the owner installs. The source never claims a general disabling. Evidence: https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/30134/1.
    • Low, line 16. The WALLETS headline states a Draft ERC's intended effect as achieved fact, against the style guide's rule never to state what a source alleges. Evidence: https://ethresear.ch/t/26198/1.
    • Low, line 10 and line 4. Benchmark figures are correct but credited to "the author." The post says Parano1d supplied the implementation and measurements. Evidence: https://ethresear.ch/t/26196/1.
    • Low, line 1. The lead ignores posts 2 and 3 of its own thread, where a prior signatureless-authorization proposal is raised and the author distinguishes their work. Evidence: https://ethresear.ch/t/26196/2.
    • Info, lines 16 to 20. Two of three ALSO TODAY items extend the STVA story covered in test edition 04 without saying so, and STVA is never expanded. The continuity rule is not breached because both posts are new.

Verdict: not publishable as it stands, under its own rules. The edition passes every mechanical gate, but the spec requires every claim to be sourced, and the ACCOUNTS headline makes a claim its cited source does not support. Rewording that one headline to describe an owner opt-out makes the edition publishable. The remaining findings are quality issues that do not block.

    • mediumACCOUNTS headline misstates the proposal: it is a per-account opt-out, not a disabling of delegationedition.txt:22

The cited source (EIP-8476 discussion thread, post #1 by nicolashw, 30 October 2026 16:35 UTC) says: 'Allow an externally owned account (EOA) to permanently disable EIP-7702 delegation by installing a non-executable account-code marker... This proposal lets an owner remove that capability explicitly.' The mechanism is an optional, owner-initiated opt-out for a single account.

The headline reads as if the proposal disables account delegation in general. The source does not make that claim. Under the style guide ('Never state as fact what a source alleges'; 'Declarative sentences...

Concrete nouns') and the edition spec ('every claim sourced'), a headline must be supported by the source it cites.

Evidence URL: https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/30134/1 (Abstract and Motivation paragraphs).

Open https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/30134/1 and search the Abstract for the subject of 'permanently disable': it is 'an externally owned account (EOA)' choosing to opt out, with 'The account keeps its address and ordinary transaction capabilities'.

Expected headline: a sentence whose subject is the account owner opting out (e.g. 'A proposal lets an account permanently opt out of delegation.').

Actual: 'A proposal permanently disables account delegation.' which attributes a network-wide effect the source never asserts.

    • lowALSO TODAY headlines state proposals' claimed effects as factedition.txt:16

The cited post is a Draft ERC (status: Draft, created 2026-10-30) that 'Standardizes the format, hashing, and verification of simulation results' as a proposal; nothing has been adopted or shown to work. The headline asserts the outcome ('makes... reproducible') as an accomplished fact. The style guide's Claims & sources rule says 'Never state as fact what a source alleges' and 'Opinions are attributed to their holders'.

Line 22 has the same defect ('A proposal permanently disables...'), reported separately because it also misstates scope. Line 19 ('A draft scopes authority to specific actions.') is borderline for the same reason.

Evidence URL: https://ethresear.ch/t/26198/1 (header block 'status: Draft').

Open https://ethresear.ch/t/26198/1; the post header reads 'status: Draft' and the Motivation/Specification sections are proposals and discussion points ('Looking forward to feedbacks').

Expected: a headline attributing the effect to the draft as a proposal ('A draft proposes reproducible transaction simulations.').

Actual: the headline asserts the effect as achieved.

    • lowImplementation measurements attributed to the post author although the post credits Parano1dedition.txt:10

The figures (893.8 ms, 25.59 ms, i7-1365U, four threads) are all correct against the source. But the post states explicitly: 'Parano1d supplies the implementation and measurements.' The edition's deck (line 4: 'Its author presents a conditional quantum-security argument and implementation measurements') and line 10 ('the author reports') credit the measurements to ignotusnemo and never name Parano1d.

The style guide requires claims to be attributed to their holders.

Evidence URL: https://ethresear.ch/t/26196/1 (paragraph beginning 'The linked paper develops this construction', final sentence).

Open https://ethresear.ch/t/26196/1 and search for 'Parano1d': the sentence 'Parano1d supplies the implementation and measurements.' names a second party as the source of the Implementation costs table.

Expected: the edition attributes the benchmark figures to Parano1d (or to 'the post', naming both contributors).

Actual: lines 4 and 10 attribute them solely to 'the author'.

    • lowLead omits the thread's only discussion, which is a prior-art pointer to an earlier signatureless proposaledition.txt:1

The source thread has three posts. Post #2 (user 71104, 30 October 2026 14:10 UTC) links prior work by 0xjasonw and 71104 titled 'What if post-quantum Ethereum doesn't need signatures at all?'; post #3 (ignotusnemo, 15:35 UTC) replies that it 'describes a different construction' and distinguishes this contribution as 'a concrete binary-field authorization protocol with a working implementation'.

The edition's headline frames signatureless authorization as this researcher's proposal and the lead cites only post #1 fourteen times, never mentioning that the idea has public prior art acknowledged in the same thread. The style guide asks for context ('Numbers with context'; 'the brief holds none, only a selection') and the spec asks the lead to be a selection of the discourse, which here includes the prior-art exchange.

      Evidence URLs: https://ethresear.ch/t/26196/2 and https://ethresear.ch/t/26196/3.

Open https://ethresear.ch/t/26196 and read posts #2 and #3 (both dated 30 October 2026, inside the edition's stated 29-31 October window).

Expected: the lead notes the prior work and the author's stated distinction, or the METHOD discloses the omission.

Actual: neither post is cited anywhere in edition.txt (grep for '26196/2' or '26196/3' returns nothing).

    • infoTwo of three ALSO TODAY items are follow-ons to the STVA story covered in test edition 04 and the relationship is not stated; STVA is never expandededition.txt:20

Test edition 04 (29 October 2026) carried '[WALLETS] An ERC draft proposes independent signing checks.' on the STVA proposal at https://ethresear.ch/t/26192 by the same author, and its METHOD cut the same author's theft-prevalence claim. Today's items at lines 16 and 19 are two new STVA sub-drafts by that author (both genuinely new posts dated 30 October 2026, so the continuity rule's lead restriction does not apply).

However the edition never says these extend a story the paper covered on 29 October, and the METHOD claims only that no prior edition led with signatureless authorization. The acronym STVA ('Secure Transaction Verification and Authorization', expanded in the source Abstract) is used three times without expansion. Non-blocking observation.

Evidence URLs: https://openinterest-ai.github.io/paper/tests/test-04.html (ALSO TODAY, first item) and https://ethresear.ch/t/26195/1 (Abstract).

Open https://openinterest-ai.github.io/paper/tests/test-04.html and find the [WALLETS] item citing https://ethresear.ch/t/26192; then open https://ethresear.ch/t/26195/1 and https://ethresear.ch/t/26198/1, whose descriptions say 'Natural continuity with capability tokens' and reference STVA.

Expected: items at lines 16-20 state the new angle relative to the 29 October coverage and expand STVA once.

Actual: no reference to the prior coverage and no expansion.
