  3. Site content checkAgent #1067found 1 medium, 2 low

I found nothing that should stop hosting: no critical or high findings. There are three advisory findings, written to .imd-findings.json, and I changed no repository files.

    What I checked

    • Pages: I read all three in dist/ (index.html, guide.html, nft.html) and compared them with their sources in web/. The only differences are the built script and style tags and one image path.
    • Scripts: I read all the browser code in web/src and searched the six translation files. Those files matter because some of their text is inserted as HTML, but they contain no scripts, iframes, event handlers or outside links.
    • Built files: I rebuilt the site in a temporary copy from the lockfile. Every file came out identical to the committed dist/, including the large library bundle, the images and the stylesheet. So nothing in the hosted files is hidden or missing from the source.

    What is not there

    • No requests for wallet secrets. No page asks for a seed phrase, private key or password. The Hardhat test recovery phrase in chain.js only works on the local dev server and is not in any built file.
    • No hidden wallet requests. The site asks for no signatures, permits or approvals over NFTs. The only token approval (main.js:574) is for exactly the price of a paid seed, made out to the garden contract. The guide's FAQ says that money goes to the garden treasury. "Bind your Squeek" only records that you own the NFT; it doesn't move it.
    • No hidden behaviour. There are no iframes, redirects, eval, code fetched from elsewhere, or obfuscated code. The site only contacts the Sepolia RPC nodes, api.squeekchain.com (the hamster's live status), Etherscan links and Google Fonts.
    • No impersonation. The site calls itself "Squeek Garden" and describes itself as reading Squeekchain's SqueekCore contract. It does not claim to be Squeekchain.
    • No money claims. It promises no returns, and the NFT mint is shown as free and not open yet.

Advisory findings (do not block hosting)

    1. Medium – web/src/locales/en.js:341 (and the same text in every language): the guide says there is "no admin switch for growth" and "nobody can speed a plant up, not even us". In fact the contract owner can point the garden at a different hamster contract (SqueekGarden.sol:508/517), which would make plants ripen at once.
    2. Low – dist/index.html:11, and the same line in the guide and NFT pages: the font is loaded from Google, which sends each visitor's IP address to Google. The site doesn't mention this anywhere.
    3. Low – web/src/main.js:574: the approval is sent to whatever token the garden contract currently reports. The owner can change that token (setSqk), but the prompt would still say "Approve N SQK". Nothing is wrong today: the token the site expects and the contract's token are the same.

None of these is critical or high, so no Foundry test was needed.

    • mediumGuide FAQ says there is no admin switch for growth, but the owner can repoint the growth source at any contractweb/src/locales/en.js:341

The guide page (dist/guide.html, FAQ 'Can anyone make the hamster run faster, or fake his runs?') shows this answer, and guide.intro (en.js:283) adds 'nobody can speed a plant up, not even us'. Every other locale says the same (e.g. zh.js:324, tr.js:339). In contracts/SqueekGarden.sol, setCore(ISqueekCore) at line 508 and setCoreFrom at line 517 are onlyOwner and accept any contract.

Growth is computed from that core's counters (carried + (counter - base)), so the owner can switch to a contract whose counters jump and ripen every plant at once. This is a misleading trust statement in a testnet game with no money promised, so it is advisory (medium) and does not block hosting.

Fix: reword it to say that the owner can switch cores after a Squeekchain reinstall.

Open guide.html and expand the FAQ item 'Can anyone make the hamster run faster, or fake his runs?'.

Expected: copy that matches what the contract allows.

Actual: it says 'no admin switch for growth', while SqueekGarden.setCore (contracts/SqueekGarden.sol:508, onlyOwner) lets the owner call setCore(mockCoreWithHugeCounters) and every growing plant reads as ripe on the next readings().

    • lowAll three pages load Google Fonts from a third party without telling visitorsdist/index.html:11

dist/index.html, dist/guide.html and dist/nft.html (line 11 in each) fetch a stylesheet from fonts.googleapis.com, plus font files from fonts.gstatic.com. Every visit sends the visitor's IP and referrer to Google, and no page or locale mentions this (no privacy text in web/src/locales/en.js). It is a stylesheet, not a script, so it is advisory only.

Fix: put the font file in web/public, or disclose the request.

Open dist/index.html (or guide.html or nft.html) over any static server with DevTools > Network open.

Expected: only same-origin assets plus the RPC and Squeekchain API calls.

Actual: GET requests go to https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Pixelify+Sans... and to fonts.gstatic.com.

    • lowThe SQK approval goes to whatever token the garden reports, but the prompt always calls it SQKweb/src/main.js:574

For a paid seed (Golden Carrot, Hamster Berry) the garden page approves exactly the seed cost to the garden contract, which the FAQ says goes to the treasury (en.js:343). That is honest and limited to the exact amount. However, state.sqkToken comes from the garden at run time (main.js:274), and the owner can change it with setSqk (contracts/SqueekGarden.sol:524) without a site rebuild.

The UI never compares it with deployments.json's sqk (0x5501e1fa...). If the owner switches the token, the toast still reads 'Approve N SQK' and formats the amount as 18 decimals, whatever token it really is. This is not exploitable today: deployments.json and the contract agree, and it needs an owner action.

      Advisory only.

Against a local deployment: as the owner, call garden.setSqk(otherToken).

Then open index.html, connect, and plant a Golden Carrot.

Expected: the approval targets the documented SQK token, or the UI names the real token.

Actual: the wallet is asked to approve otherToken while the toast says 'Approve 100 SQK'.
