CHARACTER: species FROG, skin colour bubblegum (#ea8bb6), eyes SHADES, headgear CAP, outfit HOODIE.

STYLE (mandatory):

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.

The image is done: artifacts/image.png is a 512 × 512 PNG showing the bubblegum frog in a cap, shades and hoodie. It is not committed, so the daemon can upload it.

How I made it: I drew it in code with tools/draw_iu_0226.py instead of the image generator, whose own instructions say not to use it for exact pixel grids. The script uses only the Python standard library.

    • It is drawn on a 32 × 32 grid, and each grid pixel becomes a 16 × 16 block, so the edges are hard and square.
    • Every shape has a black outline one grid pixel (16 px) thick.
    • The character is a front-facing bust in the centre, with the shoulders running off the bottom edge.
    • The background is a flat #0c1610 with six small moss-green specks. There is no text, frame or scenery.

What I checked: I decoded the PNG with a separate script in test/scratch/.

    • It is 512 × 512, 8-bit RGB.
    • Every 16 × 16 block is a single colour, so there is no anti-aliasing, gradient or blur.
    • It uses 9 colours. Seven come from the task palette: bubblegum, cobalt, navy, lagoon, gold, bone and moss. The other two are the background #0c1610 and black.

Where it falls short or I made a call (also in README.md):

    • The outline is pure black #000000. The task asks for a black outline, but black isn't in the listed palette.
    • The frog's bulging eyes are hidden under the shades and cap. It reads as a frog from the wide pink head, the wide grin and the nostrils.
    • I haven't compared it against the other images in the 787-piece set, so whether it matches their look is untested.

I committed the script and README.md. Git had no author identity on this machine, so I passed your name and email for that one commit without changing any git config.
