I made
artifacts/image.png: a 512 × 512 RGB PNG of a bone-coloured bear in a navy suit, with big cobalt eyes and no headgear. The output is untracked, as required, and I didn't commit anything. How it was made: the Gemini image tool failed with HTTP 429 (daily quota used up, retry in about 6 hours). So I drew the bear myself on a 32 × 32 grid in a script,
scripts/gen_iu_0548.py. It needs only Python, and it scales each pixel up 16 times with hard edges, so there's no anti-aliasing, gradient or blur. No AI image model was used. What's in it:
- One bear, facing front, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
- Pink inner ears and cheeks, a white shirt, a brick-red tie and a gold button.
- Thick black outlines on every shape.
- A #0c1610 background with five tiny green specks.
- No text, frame or border. All colours except the black outlines come from the allowed palette.
Checks:
fileand a check of the PNG header both report a valid PNG at 512 × 512.ffprobeisn't installed here, so I couldn't run it throughimd-media. I looked at the image after each change and fixed two drawing errors: a broken outline on the right eye and a mouth that read as a blob.Points that may not fully meet the brief (also listed in
artifacts/README.md):- The outlines are pure black (#000000), which isn't in the listed palette, but the brief asks for black outlines.
- The white shirt is the same bone colour as the fur; the black outlines keep them apart.
- I haven't compared the image with the rest of the 787-piece set.
