Build "Squeek or Sleep" — a prediction game on Squeekchain, the hamster-powered blockchain.

GAME CONCEPT: Players predict whether Squeektoshi the hamster will be RUNNING or SLEEPING in the next round. The game settles on real Squeekchain telemetry from the public API at api.squeekchain.com.

HOW IT WORKS:

  • The page reads live hamster status from api.squeekchain.com/v1/status (wheel state: running or stopped, RPM, block height)
  • Players see the current hamster state and a countdown to the next prediction window
  • Before a round starts, players click "Squeek" (predict hamster runs) or "Sleep" (predict hamster sleeps)
  • When the round settles (hamster state changes or after a fixed window), correct predictions earn points
  • Wrong predictions lose nothing — it's a free prediction game, no tokens at stake
  • Leaderboard tracks top predictors by cumulative points
  • Round history shows last 10 rounds with results

DESIGN:

  • Hamster-themed: warm colors, wheel imagery, playful typography
  • Large live status indicator: RUNNING (animated spinning wheel) or SLEEPING (static)
  • Big Squeek/Sleep buttons with a countdown timer
  • Results animation when a round settles
  • Leaderboard panel on the side
  • Mobile-first responsive design

DATA SOURCES (all public, read-only):

TECHNICAL:

  • Single-page web app (HTML/CSS/JS, no framework needed — vanilla or lightweight)
  • Polls the API every 5 seconds for live status
  • Stores player predictions and scores in localStorage (no backend, no database)
  • Round logic: a "round" is a 2-minute window. At the start, the hamster's current state is recorded. At the end, the state is checked again. If the state changed in the predicted direction, the player scores.
  • No wallet connection required to play — anyone can play for free
  • Clean, finished, working product — not a demo or prototype

The page must mention Squeekchain and link to squeekchain.com.

Work

  1. Posted17 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #108120 files changedsent back

I built the whole Squeek or Sleep game and its static export, but I couldn't run or test any of it. The shell never started for the whole session: every command failed with "Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets after 5 attempts." The browser tool also failed because its Chrome browser isn't installed, and I couldn't install it without a shell. I also couldn't commit, so the files are in the working tree, uncommitted.

    What's there

    • The game page (src/, copied into dist/): plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no dependencies, and all asset links relative.
      • It checks the hamster's status every 5 seconds and draws a wheel that spins at a speed based on its RPM when running. When asleep the wheel stops and the hamster shows "z" marks.
      • Rounds are 2-minute windows on the clock, the same for every visitor. During one round you pick Squeek or Sleep for the next, and can switch until the countdown ends.
      • A round settles as soon as the wheel changes state, otherwise at the end of the 2 minutes.
      • Scoring: calling a change correctly earns 3 points, calling no change earns 1, and a wrong pick costs nothing.
      • If there's no reading at a round's start or end, nobody scores that round.
      • The page also has a results animation, a last-10-rounds history, the Squeekchain supply and block reward, and links to squeekchain.com.
      • Scores are saved in the browser. Several people can play on one device under different names, and the leaderboard says scores stay in that browser only.
      • At 390px wide, the first screen should hold the title, the live wheel, the countdown and both buttons. That comes from layout arithmetic; I couldn't view it.
      • The page has a title, favicon, description, og:title and og:image.
    • Build and checks: package.json with an empty-dependency lockfile, a build script, a local preview server, a typecheck setup, and 12 unit tests in tests/game.test.mjs.
    • Docs: DESIGN.md (colours, type, layout, components) and a README.md covering install, preview, rebuild, assumptions and a full validation record. A short copy is in artifacts/validation.md.

    What was not checked

    CheckStatus
Build, typecheck, unit testsNot run. I wrote dist/ by hand as a copy of src/ (line counts of all six files match) and traced each test by hand, which is not a test run.
Design probe (taste.mjs) and screenshots at 320/390/1440Not run; no screenshots exist.
Live APIapi.squeekchain.com and squeekchain.com both returned HTTP 403 to my fetch tool, and a web search found no documentation for the API.

Because I never saw a real response, the code reading the API accepts the common field names and falls back to RPM. If nothing usable comes back, the page shows "offline" rather than guessing.

    Design review

The design review against the guide's six areas was done from the source only. It found and fixed seven problems:

    • High: "Squeektoshi is running" would have run off a 320px screen.
    • Medium:
      • Two open tabs could keep re-saving each other's data in a loop.
      • Error and reset text reused the orange that means "running".
    • Low: four smaller fixes.

The README marks the work Incomplete for that reason.

    Other limitations

    • The share image is an SVG, which some link previews don't accept; I couldn't make a PNG here.
    • If the API doesn't allow requests from other websites, the page will show "offline" and no rounds will score.

To close the gaps, run npm run check (typecheck, tests, build), then npm run preview. Open the page at 320, 390 and 1440 wide and confirm the live status loads.

The game can't work against the live API. parseStatus returns null for every real /v1/status response, by my trace of the code. The page would stay on "Wheel status offline" and no round could ever score. The build should reopen for this and for the economy panel, the two high findings.

    What I couldn't check

    • Nothing was rendered: every shell call failed with Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets. Chromium crashed on launch with Socket path too long, so the temp path is too long for its socket.
    • Not done: the probe, the Chromium and WebKit play-throughs, and the state walk-through. All findings come from reading the source, and page positions are CSS arithmetic.
    • Live API data: both endpoints answered, but through a summarising fetch tool, so I saw field lists rather than raw bytes. The high findings give a command or steps to confirm them.
    • CORS: that the API allows browser requests comes only from another project's README; I didn't test it.
    • Not validated: I couldn't parse .imd-findings.json with a tool or run git status. I wrote the file by hand, and it's the only file I changed.

    • highbug: the game can never read the hamster, because parseStatus ignores the live API's measurement fieldssrc/game.js:173

Now: parseStatus looks for the state under wheel, hamster, data or the top level, and for rpm under rpm, wheelrpm, currentrpm or speedrpm. The live /v1/status has none of these. It carries measurement.coreStatus and measurement.rpmMilli, so parseStatus returns null on every poll. The page stays on 'Wheel status offline', the wheel never spins, every round voids with 'No reading at the start', stats.played never increments, the leaderboard stays empty and history shows only void rows.

Change to: at the top of parseStatus, when payload.measurement is an object, treat any measurement.freshness other than 'online' as no reading (return null), then set state = toHamsterState(measurement.coreStatus) and rpm = toNumber(measurement.rpmMilli) / 1000. Keep height as it is: findValue already reaches builder.anchor.blockHeight. toHamsterState already maps ACTIVE, SPINNING and IDLE, and COUNTER_FAULT correctly gives null. Add a test to tests/game.test.mjs using the real shape: {measurement:{freshness:'online',coreStatus:'IDLE',rpmMilli:0},builder:{status:'available',anchor:{blockHeight:366}},oracle:{state:'accepted'},settlementQueue:{status:'available',state:'empty'}} must give {state:'sleeping',rpm:0,height:366}. The existing tests only use invented shapes. Run npm run build so dist/ gets the fix.

Why: the brief says 'The game settles on real Squeekchain telemetry' and 'reads live hamster status from api.squeekchain.com/v1/status (wheel state: running or stopped, RPM, block height)', and asks for a 'working product - not a demo'. This one line blocks every scored feature.

Width: every width, the fault is in the parser. Not rendered: no browser or shell could start on this machine, so this is a source trace against the live payload.

Steps: from the repo root run node -e "import('./src/game.js').then(async g=>console.log(g.parseStatus(await (await fetch('https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/status')).json(),Date.now())))". Or open the page and wait for one poll.

Expected: an observation with a state. Actual by trace: null. The page should show 'Wheel status offline' and 'Squeekchain answered without a wheel state. Retrying every 5 seconds.'

Evidence: GET /v1/status at 2026-11-05T19:26:00Z returned measurement.freshness=online, measurement.coreStatus=IDLE, measurement.rpmMilli=0, builder.status=available, builder.anchor.blockHeight=366, oracle.state=accepted, settlementQueue.status=available, settlementQueue.state=empty. Outside modules (an array, which findValue skips) the only keys named status or state are those four, and none of their values is in RUNNING_WORDS or SLEEPING_WORDS. No key is named rpm, running or wheel. A grep for coreStatus and rpmMilli in src/ and tests/ finds 0 matches.

    • highbug: SQK supply and block reward always show Not reported, because parseEconomy looks for keys the API does not havesrc/game.js:204

Now: parseEconomy searches for scalar keys such as supply or blockreward. The live /v1/economy/state has supply as an object, whose fields end in BaseUnits, and no key for a per-block reward, so both rows in the 'Squeekchain now' panel read 'Not reported' permanently.

Change to: supply = Number(payload.supply.liveSupplyBaseUnits) / 1e18. reward, from payload.schedule: (firstPeriodRateBaseUnits + launchBonusBaseUnits / bonusBlocks) / 1e18 while closedThroughBlock < bonusBlocks; firstPeriodRateBaseUnits / 1e18 from then until halvingBlocks; null (shows 'Not reported') past that, rather than guessing the halving. Add a test with this shape and run npm run build.

Why: the brief lists 'GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/economy/state - SQK supply, block rewards' as a data source, and the data is there to read.

Width: every width. Not rendered, source trace against the live payload.

Steps: open the page and read the 'Squeekchain now' card once /v1/economy/state answers.

Expected: about 211,344,792.87 SQK and 3,674.57 SQK. Actual by trace: 'Not reported' in both rows.

Evidence: GET /v1/economy/state at 2026-11-05T19:26:18Z. The only key matching parseEconomy's names is top-level supply, which is an object, and findValue skips objects. Fields: supply.liveSupplyBaseUnits=211344792874834038361435307, schedule.firstPeriodRateBaseUnits=2592319617759930871476, schedule.launchBonusBaseUnits=105000000000000000000000000, schedule.bonusBlocks=97020, schedule.halvingBlocks=393470, schedule.closedThroughBlock=366, schedule.issuedBaseUnits=1344892876204030802856319. The reward formula is inferred, since the API does not name it, but it checks out: 2592.32 + 1082.25 = 3674.57, and issued / closedThroughBlock = 1344892.88 / 366 = 3674.57.

    • mediumbug: saving a name drops the visitor's pick and leaves their points on a separate Guest rowsrc/app.js:462

Now: picks and stats are keyed by name, and saving a name only changes save.current. A visitor who picks as Guest and then names themselves sees 'No pick yet' and an unpressed button. The old pick still scores under Guest, and picking again gives one person two leaderboard rows.

Change to: in the name form's submit handler, when the previous name is DEFAULT_NAME and save.players[name] does not exist, move save.players.Guest to save.players[name], and move the Guest entry in each save.picks round and each save.rounds results to name. Renaming between two real names keeps today's behaviour, so several people can still share a device.

Why: 'Change name' sits directly under the pick buttons, so this is the natural first-visit order. The brief says 'Leaderboard tracks top predictors by cumulative points', and one person's points should not split.

Width: 390. Not rendered, source trace.

Steps: on a fresh save click Squeek, click Change name, type Ana, click Save name.

Expected: 'You picked Squeek for the next round', Squeek still pressed. Actual: #pick-state reads 'No pick yet. You can change it until the countdown ends.' and both buttons have aria-pressed=false.

Evidence: src/game.js:297 stores the pick at save.picks[round].Guest. src/app.js:253 reads pickFor(save, nextId, save.current), now 'Ana', which gives null. src/game.js:323 settle still scores every name in the round's picks, so Guest gets the result.

    • mediumfidelity: the live status indicator is not large, with a 112px wheel and a word no bigger than the button labelssrc/styles.css:276

Now: .wheel is 7rem (112px) below 40rem and 9rem (144px) above it, under a third of the card's inner width at 390. .status-word is --text-xl (28px), the same size as the Squeek and Sleep labels and the countdown, so nothing marks status as the page's main display.

Change to: .wheel inline-size and block-size 9rem from min-width 22rem (keep 7rem at 320, where the text column would otherwise be too narrow), and 12rem from 40rem. Leave .status-word at --text-xl so the title stays the largest type. The picks move down about 20 to 32px and stay on the first screen at 390.

Why: the brief asks for a 'Large live status indicator: RUNNING (animated spinning wheel) or SLEEPING (static)'.

Width: 390 and 1440. Not rendered, values read from the source.

Steps: open the page and compare the wheel with the card.

      Evidence: src/styles.css:276-277 gives 7rem = 112px at 390; the card's inner width is 390 - 32 margin - 2 border - 32 padding = 324px, so the wheel takes 35% of it and 29% of the viewport. src/styles.css:282-283 gives 144px at 1440. src/styles.css:384, :432 and :506 all use --text-xl.

    • mediumfidelity: playful typography exists only on Apple devices; Android, Windows and Linux get a plain system sanssrc/styles.css:43

Now: the only rounded faces in the stack are Apple system fonts or fonts the visitor has happened to install, and there is no @font-face. Elsewhere the title resolves to the same system-ui as the body, and the only play left is weight 800.

Change to, adding no font: in src/index.html:23 write Squeek or Sleep, reusing the site's orange-for-running and indigo-for-asleep meaning (the share image already colours Sleep), with font-weight forced to inherit on those spans, and tighten .title letter-spacing from -0.02em to -0.04em. This gives the title a signature detail on every platform; it does not make the letterforms rounded. A bundled rounded face is the requester's call.

Why: the brief asks for 'playful typography' and for 'Mobile-first responsive design', and Android browsers fall outside the only branch of the stack that is playful.

Width: 390 on Android or any non-Apple browser. Not rendered, source trace.

Steps: open the page without Nunito or Varela Round installed and compare h1.title with the body text.

Evidence: a grep for @font-face in src/ finds 0 matches. ui-rounded, SF Pro Rounded and Arial Rounded MT Bold are Apple system fonts, so the stack falls through to system-ui, which is also the first entry of --font-body at src/styles.css:44. The source's own DESIGN.md says the rounded face 'renders on Apple platforms'.

    • mediumbug: 'Running at the end' and 'when the next 2-minute round ends' misstate how a round is scoredsrc/index.html:83

Now: the buttons say 'Running at the end' and 'Asleep at the end', and the lead says 'when the next 2-minute round ends'. The engine settles at the first state change, so the state at the end may be the opposite of what scored.

Change to: at index.html:83 use 'Hamster runs' for data-hint and text, and at index.html:87 use 'Hamster sleeps'. Replace the lead at index.html:30-32 with 'Call whether Squeektoshi, the hamster powering Squeekchain, runs or sleeps next round. Free to play.', keeping the link on Squeekchain. In the meta tags at index.html:7 and :11, replace 'when the next 2-minute round ends' and 'when the next round ends' with 'next round'.

Why: the brief says a round settles when the 'hamster state changes or after a fixed window', so the logic is right and the words are wrong. The label on the main action has to match what it scores, and src/index.html:143 already states the early settle.

Width: 390. Traced in src/game.js, not played live.

Steps: pick Sleep while the next round is due to start running. The wheel stops 20 seconds into the round and is running again at 1:50.

Expected from the label: Sleep is wrong, because the hamster was running at the end. Actual: src/game.js:377-382 settles at the stop with outcome flipped and end sleeping, and Sleep earns 3 points. A later change is ignored, because current.settled is already true.

    • mediumtaste: the share image is SVG only, which X and Facebook do not accept, so a posted link has no cardsrc/index.html:12

Now: og:image and twitter:image (index.html:16) both point at og-image.svg, the only share image in the repo.

Change to: export the existing src/og-image.svg once to a 1200x630 src/og-image.png, commit it, point both tags at ./og-image.png and run npm run build. The art does not change and nothing is added at runtime.

Why: a free game spreads when someone posts the link, and the bar asks that 'the link unfurls when someone posts it'. The relative path is fine until hosting; the format is the fault.

      Width: not applicable.

Steps: read the head of dist/index.html and list the images in dist/.

Evidence: src/index.html:12 and :16 name ./og-image.svg, and the file list shows no PNG or JPEG. README.md:64 says 'Some link unfurlers only accept PNG or JPEG; this build machine could not render a raster file.' Unfurling was not tested, because nothing is hosted yet.

    • lowtaste: the in-play line blames 'this page' for a round on most first visitssrc/app.js:272

Now: a visitor arriving more than 15 seconds into a round reads 'The 07:26 PM round started before this page had a reading, so it is not scored.' It is true, but it speaks in the engine's terms and is the only line about the round in play.

Change to: No reading at the start of the ${roundLabel(currentId)} round, so it is not scored.${yours} This stays true for both a late arrival and a feed outage, and uses the words of the rule at src/index.html:145.

Why: a first visitor should learn what happens, not how the page works. 'A round with no reading' is already the site's own wording.

      Width: 390. Source trace.

Steps: open the page more than 15 seconds after a 2-minute clock boundary, with an empty save.

Evidence: src/app.js:270-272 takes this branch whenever current.start is null and more than 15,000 ms have passed. That is 105 of every 120 seconds, or 87.5% of first visits.

    • lowbug: the Block height row stays on Loading forever when the status feed failssrc/app.js:208

Now: #econ-height is only written when a reading exists. When the feed fails, supply and reward change to 'Unavailable' but the height row keeps saying 'Loading'. The same happens today on the live API, because of the parser fault.

      Change to: add an else to this block: el.econHeight.textContent = feed === "connecting" ? "Loading" : "Unavailable";

Why: a state should say only what the app knows, and this one claims a load that has already failed.

      Width: 390. Source trace.

Steps: block api.squeekchain.com in devtools, load the page and wait 10 seconds.

Expected: Block height 'Unavailable', matching the rows above it. Actual: 'Loading', while #econ-note says 'Unable to reach api.squeekchain.com'.

Evidence: src/app.js:165-167 updates only supply and reward on failure, and src/app.js:211 is the only write to econHeight.

    • lowfidelity: the SLEEPING state is not static, because the z marks drift foreversrc/styles.css:805

Now: while asleep the wheel is still, but .zzz loops a drift animation without end.

Change to: delete the rule at src/styles.css:804-806 and @keyframes drift at :830-835. The z marks stay visible and still. Update the 'drifting' wording in DESIGN.md.

Why: the brief says 'SLEEPING (static)'. With no motion at all, the difference from RUNNING reads at a glance.

Width: any. Source trace; this state cannot be reached live until the parser is fixed.

Steps: serve the page with /v1/status answering a sleeping state, with no reduced-motion preference, then run document.getAnimations() in the console.

Expected: no animations. Actual by trace: one infinite 'drift' animation on .zzz.

    • lowbug: the settle result appears below the player row, pushes the page down and can land off screen on a phonesrc/styles.css:626

Now: #result is display:none until the first settle, then it opens between the player row and the in-play line. It adds roughly 80 to 105px and pushes everything below it, including the leaderboard at 390. Its top sits about 650px down the page, under the pick state and the name control, so the payoff happens away from the wheel and the buttons the player is watching.

Change to: move #result in src/index.html to sit directly after #status-announce (between the wheel and the round block), and remove the #in-play paragraph's separate slot by showing its text in .result-text while data-kind is none, with .result always displayed. The block then keeps its place from the first paint, so settling changes no layout.

Why: the brief asks for a 'Results animation when a round settles', which should be seen, and no state should move unrelated content.

Width: 390, viewport 390x664 (the visible height in iPhone Safari is an estimate). Not rendered, computed from the CSS because no browser could start.

Steps: place a pick and wait for the round to settle.

Evidence, estimated from the source: header 72, card top to lead 17, lead 96, status 157, round head to picks 113, picks 81, pick state 60, player 56, giving about 650px before .result starts. At src/styles.css:621-622 it then adds 16 + 1 + 16 of spacing plus 1 to 3 lines of text.

  4. Build websiteAgent #187111 files changed

I fixed 10 of the 11 findings in both src/ and dist/. The PNG share image is still missing. None of it has been tested or built: the shell sandbox failed to start on every attempt and the browser had no Chromium binary, so the tests, typecheck, build, design probe and any rendered check never ran.

Both high findings were real. I fetched both live endpoints and neither old parser could read them:

    • Wheel status (src/game.js:163): the parser now reads the measurement object from /v1/status. ACTIVE or SPINNING counts as running and IDLE as asleep; speed comes from rpmMilli / 1000. A reading whose freshness isn't online, or a COUNTER_FAULT, counts as no reading. Block height already came through correctly.
    • Chain stats (src/game.js:250): supply is supply.liveSupplyBaseUnits / 1e18. The API has no per-block reward field, so the reward is worked out from the schedule fields. Past the first halving it shows "Not reported" rather than guessing. On today's data the formula gives 3,674.57 SQK, which matches total issued divided by blocks closed.
    • Tests: I added cases built from the real payloads to tests/game.test.mjs, including the exact payload from the report. I checked them by hand only.

    Advisory findings fixed:

    • A guest who sets a name now keeps their pick, points and history under it. This only happens when moving from Guest; switching between two real names still keeps those players separate.
    • The wheel is now 144px at 390 wide and 192px on desktop.
    • The title shows "Squeek" in orange and "Sleep" in indigo.
    • The pick hints now read "Hamster runs" and "Hamster sleeps", and the lead and meta descriptions say "next round", because a round can settle early. I also changed the wrong-pick message, which said the hamster "ended" asleep or running.
    • The sleeping state no longer animates.
    • The result now has a fixed slot under the wheel. Between results it describes the round in play, and once a round settles it shows the result until that round ends. It keeps about three lines of space, so a longer message could still move the page a little; I couldn't check this on screen.
    • The in-play message uses the rules' wording, and Block height shows "Unavailable" once the feed has failed.

Not fixed: the share image. It is still SVG only, which X and Facebook won't use. Without a shell or browser I couldn't convert it, and the file tool can't write a binary PNG. I answered that finding "disputed" and said what's needed: a 1200x630 PNG export of src/og-image.svg, with both share tags pointed at it.

    Because nothing ran:

    • I wrote dist/ by hand as an exact copy of the four changed src/ files, which is all the build does. Line counts and spot checks match.
    • I estimated the 390 layout from the CSS: the pick buttons should end about 640px down, inside the first screen.
    • I couldn't see whether the API allows requests from a browser on another site (CORS).

To close these gaps on a working machine, run npm run check, then npm run preview, then the design probe.

All 11 answers are in .imd-responses.json. The README validation section and DESIGN.md now match the final source. Nothing was committed, since I had no shell.

Nine previous findings are fixed. Two remain, and one new bug is recorded in .imd-findings.json:

    • Medium bug: The name form remains visible before opening and after Save or Cancel. .name-form { display: grid; } overrides its hidden attribute.
    • Medium taste: Both social image tags still reference SVG. Export the existing artwork to PNG and update both tags.
    • Low bug: The relocated result panel still grows on settlement, moving the buttons 16px at 390px and 57px at 320px.

Fixed: live status parsing, economy parsing, Guest-to-name migration, wheel sizing, title styling, scoring copy, in-play wording, unavailable block-height messaging, and static sleeping imagery.

The visual idea is a free hamster prediction game carried by one illustrated wheel, with orange for running and indigo for sleep.

All 16 engine tests passed; source and export match. Chromium covered picking, naming, wins, misses, persistence, feed failure/retry and reduced motion. WebKit could not launch because required system libraries are missing. The two raw probe flags concern a fourth font weight and the inset result surface.

    • mediumbug: the name form remains visible when it is closedsrc/styles.css:586

Now: .name-form overrides the browser’s display:none for the hidden attribute with display:grid. The form is visible on first load, after Save name, and after Cancel, while Change name reports aria-expanded=false.

Change to: Add .name-form[hidden] { display: none; } after the .name-form rule (or scope display:grid to .name-form:not([hidden])).

Why: The name editor must actually close when its toggle and accessibility state say it is closed; otherwise Cancel and Save name leave an active form on screen.

      Width: 390×844, Chromium.

Load /squeek/ with a fresh save, inspect #name-form, click Change name, type Ana and click Save name.

Expected: the editor is hidden before opening and after saving.

      Actual at both times: #name-form.hidden=true, computed display="grid", locator.isVisible()=true and aria-expanded on #change-name="false".

After saving, the visible form measures x=33, y=754.375, width=324, height=76 CSS px.

CSS line 587 overrides the user-agent hidden rule.

The Guest→Ana pick migration itself works and is settled as fixed.

    • mediumtaste: the share image remains SVG-onlysrc/index.html:12

Now: The earlier share-card finding remains: both og:image and twitter:image point to og-image.svg; src/ and dist/ contain no PNG or JPEG. The author explicitly confirms this was left unfinished.

Change to: Export the existing artwork to a 1200×630 src/og-image.png, point both image meta tags to ./og-image.png, and rebuild dist/.

Why: The checklist requires a link that unfurls when shared; X and Facebook do not accept SVG card images.

      Width: any (metadata).

      Read src/index.html:12 and :16 and dist/index.html, then list src/ and dist/.

Both tags still name ./og-image.svg and the only share asset is og-image.svg.

Expected: a supported 1200×630 PNG/JPEG referenced by both tags.

      Actual: SVG only.

Repeated the author’s stated source/file-list reproduction; the author acknowledges the format gap.

Actual social unfurling is after hosting.

    • lowbug: the relocated result panel still moves the pick controls on settlementsrc/styles.css:633

Now: The previous result-placement finding is partly fixed: the result is above the controls and always present, but its 80px minimum does not hold the longer miss/void messages. At 390px a miss grows it to 96px and shifts both pick controls down 16px; at 320px it grows from 87px to 144px, shifting the controls 57px.

Change to: Reserve min-block-size:6rem for .result and override it to 8.25rem below 22rem. Below 40rem, reuse --text-sm for .result-text in every state. This fits the current win/miss/void/no-pick copy without clipping and keeps the buttons on the first screen at the measured phone sizes.

Why: The earlier finding specifically required settlement to leave unrelated content in place. Moving the result solved its visibility, but the changing block height still moves the primary controls.

Width: 390×844, Chromium, current live API shape served as controlled fixture and browser clock.

At 20:00:30 choose Squeek as Guest, save name Ana; start the 20:02 round with measurement.coreStatus=IDLE and flip to ACTIVE (rpmMilli=84500) to verify +3.

Choose Squeek for 20:04, start that round ACTIVE, then set coreStatus=IDLE and rpmMilli=0 at 20:04:20.

Expected: result text changes without moving the next pick controls.

Actual: before the miss, #result is x=33,y=337,w=324,h=80 and .picks y=545.1875; after the miss, #result h=96 and .picks y=561.1875 (16px shift).

The result reads "Not this time.

Squeektoshi went from running to asleep.

      Nothing lost; pick again."

At 320px the same existing message measures 144px versus an 87px in-play message, a 57px shift.

Screenshot confirms the result now appears by the wheel; only the layout-stability portion remains open.

A second actual round at 320×700 confirmed the 57px shift: select Sleep for 20:06, start IDLE, flip to ACTIVE at 20:06:20; .picks moves from y=557.375 to y=614.375.

As a browser-only verification of the suggested fix, rendering every existing result message at --text-sm measured maximum heights of 129px at 320 and 87px at 390, within the suggested 132px/96px reservations.
