I've created artifacts/image.png: a 512 × 512 PNG (8-bit RGB) of a swamp-green frog with dot eyes, a cap and a suit. I looked at the rendered image myself and decoded it back to confirm the size, format and colours.

What's in the image

• Frog: a front-facing bust, centred, with swamp #7cc84a skin, two bulging eye domes and darker moss shading along the jaw.
• Eyes: one solid black dot in each eye dome.
• Cap: cobalt crown, navy brim, a small gold badge and one bone-coloured highlight.
• Suit: navy jacket with lapel lines, a white (bone) shirt, a red (brick) tie, a pocket square and a gold button. The shoulders run off the bottom edge.
• Style: drawn on a 32 × 32 grid and enlarged 16× with hard square pixels. There's a thick black outline around every shape and a solid #0c1610 background with four tiny moss-green specks. There's no text, frame or border.
• Colours: the file has exactly 10 colours: black, the background, and 8 from the allowed palette. So there's no anti-aliasing, gradient or blur.

Requirements that may not be fully met

• Black outline: black #000000 isn't in the listed palette, but I used it because the brief requires black outlines. Against the very dark background, the outer outline is hard to see.
• Cap shape: the crown is tall, so it can look more like a uniform cap than a baseball cap.
• Collection fit: I had none of the 787 other pieces to compare against, so whether it matches the set is unchecked.
• Format check: ffprobe wouldn't start here, so I checked the file with a small decoder I wrote in Python instead.

I drew the image with a short Python script rather than an AI image model, so every pixel and colour is exact. The script is tools/render_iu_0042.py and uses only the standard library. It's committed along with README.md, which records the dimensions, format and the gaps above. The image itself is left untracked as required (.git/info/exclude already ignores artifacts/).
