  2. Site content checkAgent #215found 1 medium, 2 low

Reviewed all four files, including inline scripts, styles and assets. No critical or high hosting blockers found.

Saved three verified findings to .imd-findings.json:

    • Medium: Reduced-motion mode freezes forest updates.
    • Low: Expired telemetry temporarily remains labeled live.
    • Low: A growth threshold skips its promised tree.

Browser checks completed; site files unchanged.

    • mediumReduced-motion mode prevents the forest from reflecting synced block dataindex.html:59

The canvas animation loop stops after its first frame when prefers-reduced-motion is enabled. That frame normally runs before the asynchronous API requests finish, and neither show() nor sync() redraws the canvas. As a result, the counters and chapter update while the forest permanently retains its initial PREVIEW image.

SAVE THE FOREST also exports that outdated image with a filename naming the newly synced block. Reduced-motion visitors need a static redraw whenever data changes, without restarting continuous animation. This is an advisory functionality/accessibility defect, not a hosting blocker.

Serve index.html and open it in Chromium with prefers-reduced-motion: reduce emulated before navigation.

Intercept GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/core, delay its response by 250 ms, and return HTTP 200 JSON {"schemaVersion":1,"status":"available","chain":{"chainId":"11155111","target":"sepolia"},"identities":{"core":"0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111"},"core":{"blockHeight":"2994"}}.

      Return /v1/status with {"schemaVersion":1,"measurement":null}.

After sync, the counter shows 2,994 and the chapter shows GROVE 3, but the canvas badge still says PREVIEW.

Change the core fixture height to "3600" and press SYNC REAL DATA: the counter becomes 3,600 and chapter GROVE 4, while document.getElementById("forest").toDataURL() remains byte-for-byte identical to the initial preview.

Expected: a motionless forest redrawn for each confirmed height; actual: a permanently frozen preview, including in the downloaded PNG.

    • lowTelemetry keeps animating and claiming to be live after its freshness deadlineindex.html:37

frame() bases motion solely on the cached state.feed. The 120-second receivedAt check is performed only inside sync(), with subsequent automatic refreshes 30 seconds apart. A reading accepted just before expiry therefore continues driving the animation and the LIVE HARDWARE/FRESH HARDWARE labels after it has become stale, contrary to the page's explicit promise to pause stale data.

Store the freshness deadline and expire the telemetry locally rather than relying exclusively on another API response. This is a limited data-presentation defect and does not block hosting.

With normal motion enabled, set the browser clock to 2026-11-01T12:00:00Z.

      Return HTTP 200 from /v1/status with {"schemaVersion":1,"measurement":{"freshness":"online","provenance":"hardware","coreStatus":"ACTIVE","receivedAt":"2026-11-01T11:58:01.000Z","observedAt":"2026-11-01T11:58:01.000Z","staleAfterSeconds":120,"speedMmPerSecond":1000,"rpmMilli":60000,"distanceMm":3000000}}, and from /v1/core with {"schemaVersion":1,"status":"available","chain":{"chainId":"11155111","target":"sepolia"},"identities":{"core":"0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111"},"core":{"blockHeight":"2994"}}.

Allow the initial sync to finish, then advance the browser clock three seconds, before the next 30-second poll.

The measurement is now 122 seconds old, but the page still shows LIVE HARDWARE, FRESH HARDWARE READINGS and 3.6 km/h; consecutive canvas images still differ.

Expected: mark the expired reading stale and stop its animation at the freshness deadline.

Actual: the stale reading remains live until a later sync.

    • lowA tree is skipped at the 900-block growth threshold in every groveindex.html:51

The placement loop counts rejected positions toward the number of unlocked trees. Its deterministic candidate i=22 is at (192,165), which hits the path exclusion and is discarded without replacement. Consequently, moving from 840 to 900 settled blocks changes the chapter counter from 14/20 to 15/20 new trees while adding no tree at all; this repeats at the same offset in every 1,200-block grove.

This contradicts the visible explanation that every 60 settled blocks grows another pixel tree. Count successfully placed trees or precompute valid positions so each increment actually changes the forest. This is a visual accuracy issue, not a hosting blocker.

      Open index.html with prefers-reduced-motion: no-preference.

Intercept /v1/status and return HTTP 200 JSON {"schemaVersion":1,"measurement":{"freshness":"stale","provenance":"hardware","coreStatus":"IDLE","receivedAt":"2026-11-01T11:00:00.000Z","observedAt":"2026-11-01T11:00:00.000Z","staleAfterSeconds":120,"speedMmPerSecond":0,"rpmMilli":0,"distanceMm":0}} to hold motion still.

      Return /v1/core with {"schemaVersion":1,"status":"available","chain":{"chainId":"11155111","target":"sepolia"},"identities":{"core":"0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111"},"core":{"blockHeight":"840"}}.

After sync and one animation frame, record document.getElementById("forest").toDataURL().

Change core.blockHeight to "900", press SYNC REAL DATA, and record the canvas again after a frame.

Expected: one extra tree for 60 more blocks.

Actual: the label advances from 14/20 to 15/20 but the complete canvas bitmap is identical.

As a control, syncing height "960" does change the bitmap.
