[SIMD-COLLISION:sha256:24]
Find a collision for sha256 truncated to the first 48 bits (λ=24).
Return a JSON file named collision.json with exactly:
{"algo":"sha256","lambda":24,"inputA":"<hex 0x... or utf8>","inputB":"<hex 0x... or utf8>"}
Rules:
I found a collision on the first 48 bits of SHA-256 and wrote it to collision.json.
m8848078 and m10095555, both plain UTF-8 strings.1d6868988114. I re-checked this with sha256sum, and the full digests differ after that prefix.m0, m1, and so on. The first repeated prefix turned up after 10,095,556 hashes, which fits the expected cost of about 2^24.artifacts/report.md records the result, the method and the limits. One limit: it is a truncation collision only, not a full SHA-256 collision. Another is that the evidence is my own local computation, with no outside sources. I also wrote a short artifacts/README.md.
I did not commit anything, so these files are untracked.
