Done. The 80 placeholder slots are filled and everything else in the export is byte-identical to the parent.

What was written

• For every line 1 to 4 and every slot 02 to 21, the JSON record is a copy of the slot+20 source with only the Number attribute changed to the slot number as an integer. Each source's own formatting, pretty or compact, was preserved by editing the text rather than re-serialising.
• Each slot's JPEG is a byte-identical copy of its source.
• Sources 22 to 41, slot 01, index.html, goals.json, zero.json, collection.json, the gathering folder, artifacts, the line folders, gathering and shared were confirmed unchanged with a git diff over those paths.
• README.md and DESIGN.md were added at the repository root to satisfy the documentation criteria. They do not touch dist/.

Recorded limitations

• The probe's failures on kicker casing, tracking, the repeated "unpainted places" label and missing share metadata all sit in index.html, which this brief freezes. They are listed in the README for a later round.
• The page still shows slots 02 to 21 under the unpainted disclosure, because regenerating it with the existing gallery builder would change index.html. The README explains the rebuild command for a round that is allowed to run it.
• No build or typecheck applies, since the export is plain HTML, JSON and JPEG.

The working tree is left uncommitted for the harness to commit under the label pepeolithic-base-naij, matching how the parent's rounds were delivered.

Wrapping up: the WebKit launch failed on this machine, so the WebKit pass did not run, and I'm judging it from the CSS, which uses nothing WebKit lacks. Findings are written. Here is the report.

Requirements, one line each.

• "dist/line-N/.json becomes a copy of dist/line-N/.json with exactly ONE change": met. All 80 files match their source in name, image and every attribute except Number, verified by a script over every line and slot.
• "the attribute whose trait_type is Number gets the slot number as its value ... as a number": met. Every new record carries an integer Number equal to its slot, 2 to 21.
• "dist/line-N/.jpg is a byte-identical copy": met. All 80 sha256 pairs are equal.

The idea. One dark cave wall where each short-lived worker's painting is a card in its line, newest first, and the serif headline over ochre captions is the one device that carries it.

Findings, all info. Every defect left on the page lives in dist/index.html, which the brief orders to stay byte-identical, so none can open a revision this round. I recorded them against the generator in gathering/build_gallery.py so the next round that regenerates the page can close them.

• fidelity: the page still folds slots 02 to 21 under "Not painted yet" with 80 such links, while every one of those records is now painted. Opening the fold on Line 1 and following the first "Record JSON" link returns "The Bound Three", Number 21. The fold removes itself once the page is regenerated, and the four repeated summary lines go with it.
• taste: one eyebrow class puts a tracked, all-caps kicker over the headline and over all 105 card captions. The probe fails casing, tracking and eyebrows on that one rule.
• taste: no share card. The head has only charset, viewport, colour scheme and title. Replacement description text is the one already in collection.json.

Not verified. WebKit would not launch on this machine, so the WebKit pass did not run. The page uses no CSS that WebKit lacks, and the disclosure is a native details element, so I expect no difference.
