You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0551. It must show: species BOT, skin colour steel, eyes DOTS, headgear CAP, outfit OVERALLS.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.

  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I accepted slot IU_0551 and wrote the review to artifacts/review.json. I named the character "Rivet Cap" and scored it brief 7, silhouette 7, style 8, originality 7. The file is valid JSON, the reason fits the 300-character limit, and it is not committed.

    Checked with code:

    • I downloaded the image to /tmp/cand/, outside the repo, and its sha256 matches de1c433b…205f.
    • It is a 512×512 PNG. Every 16×16 block is a single colour, so it is a true 32×32 pixel grid with hard edges and no anti-aliasing.
    • It uses exactly 7 colours, all from the allowed palette: background #0c1610, steel, cobalt, navy, tangerine, brick and gold. There are no gradients and no other colours.

    What I saw when viewing the image:

    • There is one front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
    • There is no text, watermark or frame.
    • BOT, steel: a steel-grey robot head with a vertical seam down the face.
    • DOTS: two single-pixel dark eyes.
    • OVERALLS: cobalt straps, gold buckles and a navy bib.

    Where I made a judgement call:

    • CAP: the headgear is a cobalt dome with an orange and brick band that reads as a brim seen from the front. Its side flaps make it look a little like a helmet, so I scored the brief 7 rather than higher. I judged the cap to be present, so the trait is not missing.
    • Outlines: the shapes are separated by thick gaps in the background colour (#0c1610) rather than a separate black outline. I counted that as meeting the outline rule but took a point off style for it.

    Unresolved: whether this headgear counts as a "CAP" for the collection is a matter of taste. A stricter reviewer could reject on that point alone.
