Build websiteAgent #156523 files changedsent back
I've synced the site with
0xyvz/squeek-gardenat9814264and rebuiltdist/, and the interaction checks passed. I haven't committed anything; the changes are in the working tree for the submission, and they add about 712 KB.What changed
- The 13 files you listed are now byte-identical to that commit. The six locale files already matched, so they didn't change.
scripts/switch-core.jsis new. - New contracts and runtime reads:
web/src/deployments.jsonandscripts/squeekchain.jspoint at the reinstalled SqueekCore, SQK and Squeek collection. The garden page now reads the core's genesis time from the chain, and the NFT page reads the current collection from the Squeekchain API. If those reads fail, both pages fall back to the built-in values. - The garden address is still
0xc97FcB52230CC29B37D458bF64818e1550395D6E. Texts, styles and game rules are unchanged. - One edit beyond the brief: the acceptance criteria require
og:titleandog:image, so I added four share tags toweb/index.html. The image is the existing day scene, linked with a relative path because the final gateway address isn't known yet; some link previews need a full URL. - I didn't copy the source repo's
.gitignore. It wasn't on your list, and it would stopdist/from being committed. DESIGN.mdnow describes the new runtime reads and the share tags, and holds this run's validation record.README.mdis the source repo's version, which covers install (npm install), dev preview (npm run web) and rebuild (npm run build). The production preview command (npm --prefix web run preview) is inDESIGN.md, so the README stays an exact copy.
Checks I ran
- Build:
npm run buildpassed, last run after the final source change. All asset links indist/are relative and every file they point to exists. - Typecheck: the site is plain JavaScript with no TypeScript setup.
tsc --allowJs --noEmitonchain.js,main.jsandnft.jsexited 0, but that checks syntax and imports only, not types. - Live Sepolia read: the garden's
core()andsqk()match the newdeployments.json. The new core's genesis time is 1793735400, the same as the built-in fallback. - Browser run (Playwright Chromium on
dist/): 39 of 39 checks passed.- No horizontal overflow on any of the three pages at 320, 390 and 1440 wide.
- Readings loaded from the chain, and the page made the new genesis-time call.
- At 390, Connect wallet is on the first screen; with no wallet installed, it shows "No browser wallet found…".
- Sound toggle, leaderboard tabs, page navigation, Turkish and Arabic switching (including right-to-left) and opening the FAQ by keyboard all worked.
- Design probe (
taste.mjs): 9 of 16 checks passed. The share check now passes because of the new tags. The 7 failures were already there and involve styles or text the brief said to keep:- Connect wallet and the current nav item measure 4.0:1 contrast, and the "Full player guide →" link 3.9:1, against the 4.5:1 bar.
- All-caps and tracked labels, too many type sizes and font families, emoji in headings, and some elements with both a border and a shadow.
Not verified
- Squeekchain API:
api.squeekchain.comanswered this machine with a Cloudflare challenge instead of data, so the page's successful API path is untested. Here the garden showed "Can't reach the wheel right now", and the NFT page used the built-in collection, which is the same address. - Not run:
- A real wallet connection or signing.
scripts/switch-core.js, which needs the owner key or a fork. The live garden already points at the new core.- Other browsers, a screen reader and physical phones.

Findings
- High, bug: the pantry count prints over the unlock text on the first screen.
- Where: it happens at 320 in English and at 390 in Turkish and Spanish; Turkish is worst at 390, with 17.4×14.4px of overlap. It also shows in WebKit.
- Why the probe missed it: its browser couldn't reach the chain, so it measured the short "0 snacks" state.
- Fix: delete
web/src/style.css:2237-2240. With that rule neutralised in the browser, all 18 width and language checks came up clear.
- High, fidelity: four
og:tags inweb/index.htmlbreak "Change nothing else". They are invisible and repeat the existing title and description. Deleting them makes the probe's share check fail, which the brief overrides. - Medium, bug: defaults appear as facts on a slow or failed chain read.
- Slow read (each RPC reply delayed 4s): the page says "Can't reach the wheel right now", "0 snacks" and "Every seed is unlocked". Connect wallet is missing, and the garden then jumps 60px.
- Failed read: the pantry stays on "0 snacks" and "Every seed is unlocked", and the leaderboard says "No one on this board yet", while the chain really has 33/150 snacks and one player.
- Normal connection: none of this showed; the page had loaded by 600ms.
- Fix: it belongs in
web/src/main.js, which must stay identical to the source commit, so it has to land in the source repository.
Decisions for you
- Should the pantry fix go in despite "keep the styles"? It's a one-rule style change that the brief forbids, but I rated it high because the layout is broken on the first screen. It can be approved here or made in the source repository.
- Keep or remove the
og:tags? Removing them is what the brief says, but shared links then lose the preview card. To keep them, add them to the source repository so the next sync doesn't drop them.
Probe failures the brief overrides

Now: below 760px the pantry label and count cannot wrap, while their column may shrink to 102px at 320 (.hud-pantry-text, flex: 1; min-width: 0). The text runs out of its column and paints over the 'Unlocks Moon Melon for everyone' line next to it.
Change to: delete the rule at web/src/style.css:2237-2240, so the label and count wrap inside their column. No text or size changes. This edits one style rule, and the brief says to keep styles, so the requester must approve it or land it in the source repository.
Why: text over text at 320 or 390 is a broken layout on the first screen. taste@1 passed layout only because its browser could not reach the chain and rendered the short '0 snacks' state.
highfidelity: web/index.html carries four og: tags the brief did not ask forweb/index.html:8
Now: web/index.html has four added lines (8-11: og:type, og:title, og:description, og:image) that are not in the source commit, and they reach dist/index.html. It is the only site source file outside the 13 listed that changed in this job.
Change to: delete lines 8-11 of web/index.html and run npm run build, so the file matches the source commit again. Head tags render nothing, so no space needs closing. taste@1 share will then fail; the brief overrides that check.
Why: the brief says 'Change nothing else'. The tags have no visible effect and repeat the existing title and description, so the requester can instead choose to keep them by adding them in the source repository, which also stops the next sync from dropping them.
No width applies; this is a file check.
Steps: clone https://github.com/0xyvz/squeek-garden, check out 981426474da736cc6341b89777f6831a144cd69a, then run diff web/index.html against that checkout.
Evidence: lines 8-11 are the only difference. git diff HEAD~1 HEAD -- .
':!dist' ':!DESIGN.md' lists the 7 changed listed files plus web/index.html (+4).
bug: while the first chain read is pending or after it fails, defaults appear as factsweb/src/main.js:1023

I downloaded all 13 from commit981426474da736cc6341b89777f6831a144cd69aand each one is byte-identical. - "keep the garden address 0xc97FcB52230CC29B37D458bF64818e1550395D6E": met.

- "Change nothing else … texts, styles": met, with two exceptions for the requester to approve.
web/src/style.csslost the 5-line pantrynowraprule (the fix I asked for).web/index.htmlhas 4 addedog:lines.
The idea: a pixel farm whose plants grow only while the real on-chain hamster runs. It's carried by the live wheel scene sitting on top of your plots.
Last round's findings
- [high] bug: pantry count printed over the unlock text. Fixed.
- What changed: only
web/src/style.css:2237-2240was deleted. - How I checked: I served
dist/and passed the live Sepolia reads through, so the pantry showed "33 / 150", with Moon Melon as the next seed. I then measured where each piece of text sits inside.hud-pantryin all six languages at 320, 360 and 390 in Chromium. - Result: 0 overlaps in 18 of 18 cases, and the page never scrolls sideways (scroll width equals the window width in all 18). The Turkish 320 screenshot shows the count wrapping cleanly beside "Ay Kavunu tohumunu herkese açar".
- Not checked: WebKit wouldn't start on this machine because it's missing system libraries (libgtk-4 and others).
- The author said Turkish at 320 still scrolls sideways. I measured no sideways scroll there on the loaded page, so I'm not raising it.
- What changed: only
- [high] fidelity: four
og:tags inweb/index.html. Dropped.- Still true: the 4 lines were added in this job (commit
e3f41da), and they're the only difference from the source commit. - Why I'm dropping it: a change the brief didn't ask for isn't what "high" means (high is for a requirement that is missing or faked). The tags show nothing on the page, and the author's build instructions require
og:titleandog:image. - Your decision: keep them, or add them in the source repository so the next sync doesn't drop them.
- Still true: the 4 lines were added in this job (commit
- [medium] bug: default values shown as real readings while the first chain read is pending or after it fails. Dropped, because the fix has to happen in the source repository.
- The author reproduced it, and the defect is real.
- The fix belongs in
main.js, and the brief says that file must stay byte-identical to the source commit, which it is. So the builder can't fix it here. - Next step: the source repository maintainer fixes it and asks for a new sync.
Probe notes (no findings)
The seven failed checks are all choices the site already made and the brief says to keep ("keep … the texts, styles"):
- contrast of 3.9–4:1 on the nav link, "Connect wallet" and "Full player guide →"
- all-caps, letter-spaced HUD labels
