Rework the existing Burrow Power website into a genuinely engaging, visually rich Squeekchain game. This is a gameplay and visual redesign, not a copy edit or cosmetic-only pass.

The current game is hard to understand and feels like managing plain number meters. Redesign it so a new player can understand the goal and make their first meaningful decision within 10 seconds.

GAMEPLAY

  • Keep Burrow Power’s core fantasy: protect a hamster’s underground home as real Squeekchain activity shapes the game.
  • Make each turn feel like a distinct encounter. Present a clear event or threat, show the player’s response choices, and make the consequences visible immediately.
  • Replace or substantially improve the current abstract allocation flow. Do not merely add explanatory paragraphs around the same small controls and meters.
  • Make the objective, available actions, costs, expected effects, win/loss conditions, and turn progress obvious during play.
  • Give levels distinct challenges and make difficulty fair and completable. Play through the full game and tune it so the first level is fun, not frustrating.
  • Add satisfying visual feedback when an action is chosen, when the hamster generates power, when a room is helped or endangered, and when a turn is won or lost.

VISUAL DESIGN

  • Use Squeekchain’s dark, neon, LED-dot/pixel aesthetic.
  • Make the hamster, wheel, nest, garden, and tunnels large and visually expressive. The habitat should visibly change as its condition changes.
  • Animate the wheel and hamster only when supported by fresh, real Squeekchain activity. Show a clear resting state when the hamster is idle.
  • Use large, readable type and controls, strong visual hierarchy, clear room colors, expressive hazards, and polished result screens.
  • Make the game comfortable to play on desktop and mobile, with keyboard support and reduced-motion support.
  • Avoid making the game look like a dashboard or a text-heavy resource-management form.

SQUEEKCHAIN INTEGRATION AND HONESTY

  • Preserve and verify the official Squeekchain API integration.
  • Fresh real wheel activity must affect gameplay; confirmed Sepolia settlement events may unlock in-game upgrades.
  • Keep stale, unavailable, simulated, and practice data clearly distinguished. Never present fixture data as live.
  • Keep game points and upgrades clearly labelled as local game progress, not SQK, tokens, or financial rewards.
  • Do not claim wallet, smart-contract, or onchain score integration unless it is actually implemented and tested.
  • Do not deploy or change any smart contracts.

REPOSITORY, REVIEW, AND PUBLISHING

  • Use the existing repository as the source of truth: https://github.com/identity-md-launches/launch-2822-build-burrow-power-original/
  • Commit all approved changes to the existing GitHub repository and open a pull request against its default branch. Do not leave source changes only in the hosted site export.
  • Update the production site output and publish the finished redesign to the IMD-hosted website. A source-only change or code report is not sufficient.
  • Validate the production build and play through a complete game on desktop and mobile. Fix any blocking gameplay, layout, or interaction bugs found.
  • Include the PR URL, deployed site URL, a short explanation of the revised game loop, and how real Squeekchain data changes play.

    • bug: changing modes in another tab leaves the active game empty. At 390×844, start Practice in tab A, then select Real wheel in tab B. Tab A retains #play but displays zero response buttons and zero start buttons. Synchronize the page state with the incoming mode and run so play remains available.
    • bug: loss advice recommends saving power when the bank is full. At 390×844, choose the third response through encounters 1–4. The nest reaches 0 with 16/16 power and nothing spent, yet the result recommends cheaper fixes to save power. Replace that advice with: “Protect threatened rooms before they reach 0; use quick fixes when power is low.”

    • mediumbug: changing modes in another tab leaves the active game emptysrc/App.tsx:171

Now: the storage listener changes the mode but leaves playing=true even when the incoming mode has no run; the current-encounter region becomes empty, with no start, response or retry controls.

Change to: reconcile playing and level with the incoming activeMode and its run in onStorage; when that mode has no run, return to the burrow/start view and synchronize the hash.

Why: a saved-progress update must leave a playable state and available actions visible.

Chromium, 390×844 (also applies at desktop widths).

In a clean browser context, open tab A, start Practice, and leave it on #play.

Open the same origin in tab B and select Real wheel before starting a real run.

      Return to tab A.

Actual measured state: URL remains #play; .encounter-console.innerText is an empty string; .response-choice count is 0 and .start-button count is 0.

The habitat now says Real wheel but there is no game interaction.

Expected: the new mode displays its start/connection view, or tab A keeps its playable practice run.

The failure also reproduces with official API requests blocked, so it does not depend on the external API being available.

    • mediumbug: loss advice recommends saving power when the bank is fullsrc/App.tsx:595

Now: every loss recommends a cheaper fix early to save power, including losses caused by spending no power; the player can receive this advice with a full 16-power bank.

Change to: replace the unconditional advice with "Protect threatened rooms before they reach 0; use quick fixes when power is low." Alternatively, choose advice from the actual loss history and remaining power.

Why: the first level must teach a clear, fair game loop. Advice to conserve more power after refusing every repair points a new player toward the same losing strategy.

      Chromium, 390×844.

With a clean save in Practice, click Protect the burrow.

Choose the third response on encounters 1–4: Gather spare cells, Collect dry seeds, Scavenge the rubble, Save the lamp’s power; click Next encounter between them.

Actual: the game loses on encounter 4 with Nest 0, Garden 19, Tunnels 19, power 16/16 and total power spent 0, but the result reads "Nest reached 0.

Try a cheaper fix early to save power for the last threats."

Expected: the advice recommends spending available power to prevent room loss, or gives neutral guidance that fits the recorded run.

The same unconditional sentence appears on other loss paths.
