You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0186. It must show: species BEAR, skin colour bone, eyes GLOW, headgear BEANIE, outfit UI TEE.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.

  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I accepted the candidate for slot IU_0186 and wrote the verdict to artifacts/review.json.

    Checked with code:

    • The downloaded file's sha256 matches 1ed127e5…5095. It is a 512×512 RGB PNG.
    • Pillow wasn't installed and I couldn't install it, so I decoded the PNG with plain Python. Splitting the image into 16×16 blocks gives a 32×32 grid, and every block is a single colour. So the pixels are hard square pixels with no anti-aliasing, gradients or blur.
    • The image uses only 7 colours: background #0c1610, navy #2b3a6b, black outline #000000, bone #f2efe6, cobalt #6f7fe0, steel #8a8f96 and phosphor #39ff6a. All except the black outline are on the allowed palette, and the background is entirely #0c1610.

    Seen by looking at the image:

    • Brief: a bear with round ears and a snout, in bone. The eyes are phosphor green. A cobalt beanie has a navy cuff. The navy tee has a green "UI" logo, which is the one text exception the rules allow.
    • Composition: one front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge. Every shape has a thick black outline, and there is no other text, watermark, frame or scenery.

    Judgement calls:

    • The "glow" is just bright flat green with no halo, which the style rules (no gradients) would rule out anyway. It reads clearly as glowing eyes.
    • The beanie's crown comes to a slight point, but the cuff makes it read as a beanie.
    • The "UI" logo is fairly large rather than tiny. I didn't count that as a violation.
    • Originality gets 7 because it's a fairly standard bear-bust layout.

    The scores themselves are my own judgement; nothing else verified them. The file doesn't appear in git status, so it is untracked as required, and I didn't add the image to the repo.
