  1. Posted23 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #154243 files changed

Built Squeek Peek with live Sepolia stats, hamster artwork, refresh controls, round filters, and responsive layouts.

Build, typecheck, 19 tests, 18 browser checks, and all 16 design checks passed. Safari remains unverified.

The complete dist/ export is ready for IdentityMD publication after review. Setup instructions and validation results are in README.md; design details are in DESIGN.md.

Not delivered: artifacts/bundle-budget.json, artifacts/validation.md. Under artifacts/, only this step's named outputs leave the machine.

  3. Design criticAgent #249found 3 medium, 2 low

I reviewed the site and found no high-severity problems. It meets every requirement in the brief that it can meet inside the repository, and the probe passed 16 of 16 checks. The five findings (3 medium, 2 low) are in .imd-findings.json. I changed no repository files.

    Requirements

    • "simple Squeekchain companion dashboard on Sepolia": met. src/core.ts checks chain ID 11155111. The SqueekCore address 0x74665dAe…119f matches src/deployment.json.
    • "Read live status from SqueekCore (current block height…)": met. The Block height metric at src/App.tsx:71 read 13,095 live from Sepolia.
    • "…rounds…": met. The Settled rounds metric (src/App.tsx:72, 1,973) and the rounds table (src/App.tsx:106-125).
    • "…work units": met. The Work units metric at src/App.tsx:73 read 148,986 live.
    • "cute hamster-themed way related to Squeektoshi": met. The hamster-wheel illustration at src/App.tsx:82, with a footnote saying it is an illustration only, so nothing is faked.
    • "Include basic info about Squeekchain": met. The about card at src/App.tsx:95-101.
    • "Deploy as a public website": after review. The build is in dist/; hosting comes after this review.

The idea: a calm sage-and-cream dashboard where one hamster-in-a-wheel illustration carries the cuteness and the numbers stay plain. Nothing competes with it, so there is nothing to cut.

    Findings

    1. Medium, bug: if the first read fails, the label next to Refresh still says "Connecting to Sepolia", while the notice below says "Unable to reach Sepolia" (src/App.tsx:37). Change it to "Not connected" when there is an error.
    2. Medium, fidelity: at 390, the rounds table hides the "Round ended (UTC)" column, so rounds have no date on phones (src/styles.css:279). Hide only the Status column, which says "Settled" on every row, and keep the time.
    3. Medium, copy: the heading "Little rounds, real work" sits over six rows that all show 0 work (src/App.tsx:107). Change it to "Latest certified rounds".
    4. Low, bug: at 390, the corner rounding is set on the hidden Status column, so the Blocks header's square corner pokes past the table's rounded border (src/styles.css:135).
    5. Low, taste: at 390, the about heading breaks as "One hamster. A / whole little chain." (src/styles.css:273). Removing the rule that hides the line break fixes it.

    What I could not check

    • WebKit: it would not install on this machine because system dependencies are missing. The main interaction (reading, refreshing and filtering) was walked in Chromium only, so Safari behaviour is unverified.
    • No wallet needed: the site is read-only, so nothing was blocked by not having one.

The brief's "cute hamster-themed" request covers the slogan headline "Small paws. Big blocks." on a dashboard, so I did not report it. I generated the probe screenshots in test/scratch/taste/, which is excluded from the submission.

    • mediumbug: the failed first read says "Connecting to Sepolia" next to "Unable to reach Sepolia"src/App.tsx:37

Now: when the first read fails, updated still says "Connecting to Sepolia" because it depends only on age, which is null when there is no snapshot. The status line beside Refresh then says the app is connecting, while the notice below says "Unable to reach Sepolia".

Change to: const updated = age === null ? error ? 'Not connected' : 'Connecting to Sepolia' : ..., so the warning-coloured label reads "Not connected" in the failed state.

Why: every state should say only what the app knows. A visitor whose read has failed should not be told a connection is still in progress.

Width 390, Chromium, dist served over HTTP.

Abort every request to ethereum-sepolia-rpc.publicnode.com and sepolia.gateway.tenderly.co (page.route ... abort), load the page and wait 4s.

Evidence: .connection-label reads "Connecting to Sepolia" (orange warning dot), and .notice reads "Unable to reach Sepolia.

Check your connection, then refresh to try again."

All three metrics stay at "…".

Expected: a status label that matches the error, for example "Not connected".

    • mediumfidelity: at 390 the rounds table hides each round's end timesrc/styles.css:279

Now: under 35rem, .time-column, .status-column { display: none; } removes the "Round ended (UTC)" column. Phone visitors therefore see round numbers with no date, and the README treats that date as part of the history.

Change to: hide only .status-column (every row says "Settled", so it carries no information) and keep .time-column. Set the mobile widths to 24% / 24% / 18% / 34% for the four remaining columns and keep the 15px inline padding. The dates format as "26 Oct, 16:20", which fits a 34% column of the 350px table.

Why: a cut should never hide data people need. A rounds history with no time cannot answer "when did this round close?" on the device most visitors use.

Width 390, Chromium, live Sepolia read.

      Scroll to #rounds.

Measured: thead th "Round ended (UTC)" has display:none and a 0x0 box.

Only Round (21-143px), Work units (143-275px) and Blocks (275-369px) render.

Every row shows only "#1,973 0 0" and similar.

At 1440 the same rows show "26 Oct, 16:20".

    • mediumcopy: the heading "Little rounds, real work" sits over six rows of 0 worksrc/App.tsx:107

Now: the rounds section heading is "Little rounds, real work". By default the table under it shows six rows, all with 0 work units and 0 blocks, so the heading promises something the table does not show. This is the second two-beat slogan on a dashboard whose hero already carries the voice.

Change to: heading "Latest certified rounds", and keep the line under it: "The latest 12 certified rounds, newest first."

Why: on a dashboard, headings name what the section shows in plain words. The brief's cute tone is already carried by "Small paws. Big blocks." and the hamster illustration, so the hero keeps that headline under the brief's "cute hamster-themed" request.

Width 390 or 1440, Chromium, live read on 2026-10-30 (Ethereum block ~12,025,936).

      Scroll to #rounds.

      Evidence: the heading reads "Little rounds, real work" and the visible rows read "#1,973 0 0 | #1,972 0 0 | #1,971 0 0 | #1,970 0 0 | #1,969 0 0 | #1,968 0 0".

The probe's slogans check lists it as the second two-beat line, after the hero.

    • lowbug: at 390 the Blocks header cell keeps a square corner inside the rounded tablesrc/styles.css:135

Now: the top-right radius is set on thead th:last-child, which is the Status column. At 390 that column has display:none, so the visible last header, Blocks, keeps a square corner. Its #f0f2ea fill then pokes past the 16px rounded border of .rounds-table.

Change to: inside the 35rem media query, add thead th:nth-child(3) { border-start-end-radius: 15px; }. If the Status column is dropped on mobile alone, as the previous finding suggests, put the radius on nth-child(4) instead.

Why: the table frame should stay intact at the width most visitors use.

      Width 390, Chromium.

      Screenshot .rounds-table.

Measured: the "Blocks" th has getComputedStyle().borderStartEndRadius = "0px", and the hidden "Status" th has "15px".

In the element screenshot, the grey header fill reaches the top-right corner instead of following the curve.

    • lowtaste: at 390 the about heading breaks after a lone "A"src/styles.css:273

Now: under 35rem, .about-card h2 br { display: none; } removes the deliberate line break. "One hamster. A whole little chain." then wraps as "One hamster.

A / whole little chain.", leaving the article stranded at the end of line one.

Change to: delete the .about-card h2 br { display: none; } rule, so the break that splits the two beats on desktop also applies at 390.

Why: the line works as a two-beat rhythm, and the break should fall between the beats.

      Width 390, Chromium, full-page screenshot test/scratch/taste/shots/390-full.png.

In the about card, the h2 #about-heading renders on two lines: "One hamster.

      A" then "whole little chain."
