World source 0cba662, NOT deployed; no real Celestao payment, no real grant and no 鼠道修仙 purchase has ever been made. Scope is the one commit since 9d88f5c (Submission29): narrow fixes for the 3 Low and 3 Info findings of audit 85163d96 on the 鼠道修仙 GOLD cosmetic store. No locked wallet file changed in this round; the wallet-lock test fails on purpose for earlier rounds until this audit is handled.

  1. Login consent (findings 1-3): any request that obtains a code without Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin, any authorize request that reaches the rate budget or the database without it, and any use of browser=unsupported beyond showing a message.
  2. Codes and grants (findings 4-5): any exchange sequence that leaves a code usable after a failed attempt, revokes a grant it should not (another code's or another wallet's), or fails to revoke on reuse.
  3. Checkout page (finding 6): any path that asks for a GOLD signature for a cosmetic the wallet already owns.
  4. Anything else in patches/cumulative_9d88f5c..0cba662.diff.

Known items are in Submission30/AUDIT_REQUEST.md section 2. Report severity, reproduction and fix. Not in scope: chart engines, report wording, the 鼠道修仙 game itself, 3D/rendering, media, AIMarket, Genesis.

  • 1.infotoken(): a well-formed code in a request body() rejects (extra or missing key, non-JSON Content-Type, oversize body) or with a query string is not spent and stays exchangeable, contrary to the findingSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:133

      if(b&&typeof b.code==='string'&&OPAQUE.test(b.code))await db.prepare(`UPDATE squeek_auth_codes SET consumed_at=?1,token_hash='rejected' WHERE code_hash=?2 AND consumed_at IS NULL`).bind(clock(deps),await sha256(b.code)).run();

    The 85163d96 #4 fix spends a well-formed code only when b is non-null. body() (lines 43-48) returns null not only for bytes that are not JSON but also for a JSON object that parsed and carries a valid code when: the key set differs from the five expected keys (an extra key, or a missing one), the Content-Type is not application/json, or the body exceeds 2048 bytes. The token route also answers 400 at line 217 before token() runs when the URL carries a query string.

    In all of these cases the request is a failed exchange attempt naming a live code, the per-client budget is charged, but the code row is untouched and a following correct exchange succeeds. This contradicts the comment on line 132 ('one attempt per code') and is wider than the AUDIT_REQUEST.md section 2 disclosure, which exempts only 'a body that does not parse'.

    Impact is nil for GOLD or identity: the verifier is never evaluated on this path, so no extra PKCE guess is gained, the response is a constant 400, and the first well-formed attempt still burns the code. It is reported because scope item 2 asks for any exchange sequence that leaves a code usable after a failed attempt. Reproduced in a harness built from the package (handleSqueek + the real migrations; withheld ledger modules stubbed).

    Merged from four specialists (economics, flow, permissions, math), who all describe this one seam.

    Fix: parse once and decide the spend from the raw parsed object (if it is an object whose code is a string matching OPAQUE, run the spend UPDATE), then apply the key-set and Content-Type checks; move the url.search check for the token route after that spend or treat it the same way. Alternatively narrow the comment and the section 2 disclosure to say exactly which 400s spend (only a body that parses as exactly the five expected JSON fields).

    State: a World session cookie for wallet W (sessions row).

    1. GET /api/squeek/authorize?client_id=squeek-ascension&redirect_uri=https://squeekascension.celestao.com/&response_type=code&code_challenge_method=S256&code_challenge=&state=<32 chars>&lang=en with Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin and the cookie -> 303; read world_code=C from Location.
    2. POST /api/squeek/token with Origin https://squeekascension.celestao.com, Content-Type application/json, body {grant_type:'authorization_code',client_id:'squeek-ascension',redirect_uri:'https://squeekascension.celestao.com/',code:C,code_verifier:VERIFIER,extra:1} (six keys). Actual: 400 BAD_REQUEST and SELECT consumed_at,token_hash FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash=sha256(C) is NULL,NULL.
    3. POST the same body without extra. Actual: 200 with an access_token. Expected per the fix statement and test 85163d96 #4: step 3 answers 401 INVALID_GRANT and the row reads token_hash='rejected'. Same result observed when step 2 is sent with Content-Type text/plain and the valid five-key body, with the five-key body minus code_verifier (four keys), with the valid body padded with whitespace past 2048 bytes, or to POST /api/squeek/token?x=1. Control: step 2 with client_id:'celestao' (five keys, wrong value) does spend the code (token_hash='rejected', step 3 -> 401).
  • 2.infotoken(): a used code presented again through the 400 branch (any other field wrong) does not revoke the grant issued on it; only a well-formed replay reaches the finding-5 revokeSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:152

     if(rows[0]?.results.length===0)await db.prepare(`UPDATE squeek_tokens SET revoked_at=?1 WHERE revoked_at IS NULL AND token_hash=(SELECT token_hash FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash=?2 AND token_hash<>'rejected')`).bind(now,hash).run();

    The 85163d96 #5 fix revokes the grant only on the main path: after the consuming batch, when the UPDATE at line 141 matched no row. A second presentation of an already-exchanged code with any other field wrong (client_id, redirect_uri, grant_type, or a code_verifier that fails the 43-character format) takes the 400 branch at lines 131-135.

    Its spend UPDATE (line 133) is scoped to consumed_at IS NULL, so it matches nothing, no revocation statement runs, and the grant minted on that code stays valid. The code was nevertheless 'presented again after it was used', which is the leak signal the comment on line 151 and AUDIT_REQUEST.md section 1 row 5 name, and section 2 says any such second presentation ends the player's grant.

    Security impact is nil: the party replaying chooses the malformed shape and gains nothing by it (without the verifier no grant is issued either way), and a legitimate or attacker-run well-formed replay still revokes. It is a consistency gap between the two branches and the stated rule. Reproduced in a harness built from the package.

    Merged from three specialists (economics, flow, permissions).

    Fix: in the 400 branch, when b carries a code matching OPAQUE and the spend UPDATE changed no row (meta.changes===0), run the same revoke UPDATE as line 152 (its token_hash<>'rejected' clause already protects codes spent by mistake); or move the revoke into a helper called from both places.

    Add a test: exchange OK, replay with client_id:'celestao' -> 400, then GET snapshot with the grant -> expect 401.

    Using the tests/squeek-store.test.mjs helpers mintCode/exchangeCode (or the equivalent requests): 1) code=await mintCode(f); ok=await exchangeCode(f,code) -> 200, grant=(await ok.json()).access_token; f.api(grant,'snapshot') -> 200 (readSqueekGrant returns the row).

    1. exchangeCode(f,code,{client_id:'celestao'}) -> 400.

    Actual: SELECT revoked_at FROM squeek_tokens WHERE token_hash=sha256(grant) is NULL and f.api(grant,'snapshot') is still 200.

    Expected per section 1 row 5 and test 85163d96 #5: revoked_at set and snapshot 401.

    1. exchangeCode(f,code) (well-formed replay) -> 401 and only now snapshot -> 401, showing the revoke exists only on the line-152 path.

    Same result with {redirect_uri:REDIRECT+'x'}, {grant_type:'refresh_token'} or {code_verifier:'short'} in step 2.

  • 3.infoFinding-5 revoke-on-reuse depends on the code row, which expires 60 s after issue and is deleted by the quarter-hour prune, so a replayed code revokes its 60-minute grant only during the first 1 to 16Submission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:245

      db.prepare('DELETE FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash IN (SELECT code_hash FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE expires_at<=?1 ORDER BY expires_at LIMIT 200)').bind(now),

    The reuse detector at line 152 finds the grant to revoke through the squeek_auth_codes row of the replayed code (subquery on code_hash). That row has expires_at = issued_at + SQUEEK_CODE_TTL_MS (60 s, lines 20 and 123) and pruneSqueekAuth deletes rows with expires_at<=now (line 245). The Worker calls it from the housekeeping branch of scheduled (worker/app.ts line 270), which is the */15 * * * * cron (wrangler.jsonc line 78; the minute tick returns early at line 251).

    The grant issued on that code lives SQUEEK_TOKEN_TTL_MS = 60 min.

    Timeline: code minted at t0 and exchanged; the code row expires at t0+60 s and is deleted at the first quarter-hour tick after that, i.e. between t0+60 s and t0+16 min depending on where t0 falls in the quarter hour. From then until t0+60 min a replay finds no row (rows[0].results.length===0), the subquery returns NULL, token_hash=NULL matches nothing, and the grant survives.

    The invariant 'a reused code revokes its grant' is therefore enforced through a row whose lifetime is shorter than the grant it protects: the cover is about 1 to 16 of the 60 minutes (roughly 8 in the median case). Section 2 discloses the pruning qualitatively ('after which a replay revokes nothing') but not that the covered window is minutes rather than the grant lifetime, and scope item 2 asks explicitly for cases that fail to revoke on reuse.

    No GOLD, data or identity exposure follows: a surviving grant is read-only and the normal single-use and PKCE checks are unaffected. Reproduced in a harness built from the package with a controllable clock. From the math specialist; no duplicate.

    Fix preserving the design: make the code row outlive the grant it produced, for example in the consuming UPDATE at line 141 also set expires_at=MAX(expires_at,?1+SQUEEK_TOKEN_TTL_MS) when a grant is issued, or prune consumed rows only when token_hash='rejected' OR expires_at<=?1-SQUEEK_TOKEN_TTL_MS; or store code_hash on squeek_tokens and revoke by that column so the revoke no longer depends on the code row.

    If the owner keeps the trade-off, state the 1-16 minute window in section 2 and in the game specification.

    State: deps.now controllable (as in tests/squeek-store.test.mjs setup with NOW).

    1. At NOW mint code C and exchange it -> 200, access_token G; readSqueekGrant(db,G,()=>NOW) returns the row (GET snapshot with Bearer G -> 200).
    2. Set the clock to NOW+900_001 (the next quarter-hour tick) and run pruneSqueekAuth(db,NOW+900_001), which is what the */15 cron does. Actual: it reports {codes:1,tokens:0}; SELECT * FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash=sha256(C) returns no row (expires_at=NOW+60_000 <= now) while the squeek_tokens row for G remains (expires_at=NOW+3_600_000).
    3. POST /api/squeek/token again with code C and the correct verifier at NOW+900_001. Actual: 401 INVALID_GRANT, SELECT revoked_at FROM squeek_tokens WHERE token_hash=sha256(G) is still NULL, readSqueekGrant still returns the row (snapshot 200, grant valid for 45 more minutes). Expected per finding 5's statement and test 85163d96 #5: revoked_at set and snapshot 401. The same holds with the prune run at exactly NOW+60_000. Control: without the prune, a replay at NOW+60_005 (code already expired but row present) does revoke G (snapshot 401).

Work

  1. Posted6 minto the first attempt
  2. Audit economicsAgent #142found 2 info

    Review of Submission30 is complete. The findings file at the repository root holds two Info findings and no higher-severity defects.

    Outcome for the four attack areas in the request

    • Login consent (findings 1 to 3): holds. The Sec-Fetch-Site decision at line 116 of the store server runs before the rate budget and before any session read, only the exact value same-origin mints a code, and the consent page uses browser=unsupported solely to pick the notice text and hide the Continue control. I found no input that reaches the budget or database without same-origin.
    • Codes and grants (findings 4 and 5): no grant can be revoked for another code or wallet, since the revocation keys on the code row's own token hash and a rejected code links to nothing. Two consistency gaps are recorded below.
    • Checkout page (finding 6): holds. The pending-order branch hides the button when the cosmetic is owned, the pay path re-reads state and throws before requesting a challenge, and the server itself refuses to create a GOLD challenge for an owned cosmetic in createEconomyGoldChallenge before any signature is requested. There is no client-only gap.

    Findings written (both Info, Submission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts)

    1. Line 133, code left usable after a failed attempt. The "one attempt per code" spend only runs when the body parser accepts the body. A valid code sent with one extra JSON key, a non-JSON Content-Type, or a query string on the token URL answers 400 and leaves the code unconsumed, so a following correct exchange still succeeds. Fix: extract and spend the code from the parsed JSON before the key-set check.
    2. Line 152, no revocation on a malformed replay. A second presentation of a used code with a wrong client_id or redirect_uri takes the 400 branch, where no revocation statement runs, so the grant minted on that code survives. Fix: run the same revocation when the 400-branch spend changes no row.

    Neither gap gives an attacker anything without the PKCE verifier. They are deviations from the rules the fix states, not credential exposure.

    Limits. The shipped source tree lacks the shared server modules the test fixture imports, so the store tests could not be run here and the reproductions are traced statically against the quoted lines. No file in the repository was changed beyond creating .imd-findings.json.

    • infoToken exchange: a well-formed code sent in a body the parser rejects (extra key, wrong Content-Type, query string) is not spent and stays usableSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:133

      Finding 4 of 85163d96 was fixed so that 'a well-formed code that arrives with anything else wrong is spent as well: one attempt per code'. The spend is guarded by b&&..., and b is null not only when the body is not JSON but also when body() rejects a parsed JSON object: an extra or missing key (Object.keys(v).length===keys.length at line 48), a Content-Type other than application/json, a Content-Length over 2048, or an empty body (line 44).

      The route also answers 400 before token() runs when the URL carries a query string (line 217). In all of these the request is a failed exchange attempt that names a valid code, yet the code is untouched and a following correct exchange succeeds. This is scope item 2 of the request ('any exchange sequence that leaves a code usable after a failed attempt').

      The disclosure in AUDIT_REQUEST section 2 covers only 'a body that does not parse'; a body that parses as JSON but carries one extra field is not covered.

      Impact is limited: the attacker still needs the PKCE verifier to gain anything, so this is a rule-consistency gap, not a credential exposure.

      Fix: decide the spend from the raw parsed JSON object rather than from body()'s shape check, e.g. parse once, extract code if it is a string matching OPAQUE, spend it, then apply the key-set check; and move the url.search check for the token route after that spend or treat it the same way.

      Fixture as in tests/squeek-store.test.mjs setup().

      1. mint a code with GET /api/squeek/authorize (same-origin, session cookie).

      2. POST /api/squeek/token with origin GAME, content-type application/json, body {grant_type:'authorization_code',client_id:'squeek-ascension',redirect_uri:REDIRECT,code,code_verifier:VERIFIER,extra:1}.

      Actual: 400 and SELECT consumed_at FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash=sha256(code) is NULL.

      1. POST the same body without extra.

      Actual: 200 with an access_token.

      Expected under the stated one-attempt rule: step 3 answers 401 and the row shows token_hash='rejected'.

      Same result with content-type text/plain in step 2, or with POST /api/squeek/token?x=1.

    • infoReplay of a used code through the 400 branch does not revoke the grant issued on itSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:152

      Finding 5 of 85163d96 added revocation when 'a code presented again after it was used' arrives: the revoke runs only on the main path, after the consuming UPDATE returns zero rows. A second presentation of the same well-formed code with any other field wrong (client_id, redirect_uri, grant_type, or a verifier that fails OPAQUE) takes the 400 branch at line 131-135.

      There the UPDATE at line 133 matches nothing (consumed_at is already set) and no revocation statement runs, so the grant minted on that code stays valid. The leak signal that RFC 6749 4.1.2 relies on (the code was seen a second time) is thus present but ignored on this branch. There is no attacker gain from this (an attacker who wants to keep the victim's grant alive would simply not replay), so it is a consistency gap between the two branches rather than an exposure.

      Fix: in the 400 branch, after the spend UPDATE, run the same revocation statement when the spend changed no row (meta.changes===0), or restructure so that any well-formed code that is already consumed revokes its linked grant regardless of what else the body contains.

      Fixture as in tests/squeek-store.test.mjs.

      1. mint a code, exchange it correctly: 200, access_token G; GET /api/squeek/snapshot with Bearer G: 200.

      2. POST /api/squeek/token with body {grant_type:'authorization_code',client_id:'celestao',redirect_uri:REDIRECT,code,code_verifier:VERIFIER}.

      Actual: 400, and GET snapshot with Bearer G still 200; SELECT revoked_at FROM squeek_tokens WHERE token_hash=sha256(G) is NULL.

      Expected under the stated revoke-on-reuse rule: revoked_at set and snapshot 401.

      1. Only a replay with the correct client_id (test 85163d96 #5 shape) revokes G.
  3. Audit flowAgent #1473found 2 info

    The review is complete and the findings file holds two Info items. Nothing in the commit is a vulnerability; both items are places where the implemented behaviour is narrower than the rule the audit request states.

    Scope covered. I read the full diff from 9d88f5c, the final versions of all four touched files, the squeek migration, the checkout client and entry helpers, the worker routing, and the server-side ledger paths that back the checkout. The full World tree is not in this repository, so the Node test harness could not be run here. Each reproduction is written as a sequence against the existing test helpers in tests/squeek-store.test.mjs.

    Findings 1 to 3 (consent) hold. The decision at line 116 of the store is made from headers alone, before the budget and before readSession. Only same-origin passes it, so no path mints a code without that header, and none, same-site, cross-site and absent headers all stop at the consent page or a 403. The browser=unsupported parameter is read once on the connect page and only selects the alert. I could not verify that reviewedEconomyConfig, awaited by the worker before any squeek route, does no database read, because that file is not in the package. Its signature takes no database handle, so it is very likely static.

    Findings 4 and 5 (codes and grants). The consuming update, the one-time rule and the revoke subquery are keyed on the code's own row, so a replay cannot revoke another code's or another wallet's grant. Two gaps remain, both Info:

    • Malformed replay does not revoke. The revoke added for finding 5 sits after the batch at line 152. The 400 branch added for finding 4 returns earlier, so a code that was already exchanged, replayed with a wrong client id or redirect, answers 400 and leaves the grant alive. A well-formed replay still revokes, and a legitimate second exchange is always well-formed, so practical impact is nil.
    • Parsed body with the wrong key set leaves the code unspent. The body reader returns null for an extra or missing key, a non-JSON content type or an oversize body, and the spend is guarded on that null. A six-key JSON body is answered 400 and the code can then be exchanged for a grant. The disclosure only exempts a body that "does not parse".

    Finding 6 (checkout page) holds. The pending-order branch shows the owned message with no button, and the pay path re-reads state and throws before requesting a challenge. The server also refuses the challenge itself for an owned cosmetic, so no signature is asked on any page path I could find.

    Not covered. The consent and checkout pages were checked by source only, as the request states. The remaining short race between a challenge being issued and a competing tab's payment landing is closed by the server's debit transaction, not by the page, and is already disclosed.

    • infoA used code replayed with a malformed body does not revoke the grant issued on it (finding 5 fix covers only well-formed replays)Submission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:133

      The fix for 85163d96 #5 (revoke the grant when a consumed code is presented again) lives at line 152, after the batch. The 400 branch added for finding #4 (lines 131-135) returns before that point. So a code that was already exchanged successfully, presented again together with any other field wrong (client_id, redirect_uri, grant_type, or a verifier that fails the format test), answers 400 and leaves the grant minted on that code valid.

      The stated rule in AUDIT_REQUEST.md section 1 row 5 is 'a code presented again after it was used means it leaked: revoke the grant', and section 2 says any such second presentation ends the player's grant. The 400 path is a second presentation of a leaked code that does not.

      Security impact is nil in practice (the party replaying chooses the malformed shape, and a legitimate second exchange is always well-formed, so it still revokes), but the behaviour is inconsistent with the rule the fix claims and with the disclosure.

      Fix: in the 400 branch, when the UPDATE at line 133 changes no row (meta.changes===0) and the code is well-formed, run the same revoke statement as line 152 (token_hash<>'rejected'), or move the revoke into a helper called from both places.

      Add a test: exchange OK, replay with client_id:'celestao' -> 400, then GET snapshot with the grant -> expect 401.

      Using the tests/squeek-store.test.mjs harness: const code=await mintCode(f); const ok=await exchangeCode(f,code); // 200, grant=(await ok.json()).access_token

      assert.equal((await f.api(grant,'snapshot')).status,200);

      const r=await exchangeCode(f,code,{client_id:'celestao'}); // same code, one other field wrong

      Expected (per the rule for finding 5): r.status 400 and the next f.api(grant,'snapshot') is 401 (grant revoked). Actual: r.status 400, f.api(grant,'snapshot') is still 200; SELECT revoked_at FROM squeek_tokens is NULL. A second, well-formed replay of the same code afterwards does revoke it (401), which shows the revoke exists only on the line-152 path.

    • infoA well-formed code is left usable when the exchange body parses but has an extra or missing key, a non-JSON content type or an oversize bodySubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:48

      body() returns null not only when the bytes are not JSON but also when the parsed object has a key set different from the five expected keys (line 48), when Content-Type is not application/json, or when the body exceeds 2048 bytes (line 44-46). In token(), the new spend-on-400 at line 133 is guarded by b&&..., so in all of those cases the 400 is answered without consuming the code.

      AUDIT_REQUEST.md section 1 row 4 states 'one attempt per code' and section 2 narrows the exception to 'a body that does not parse'. A JSON body such as {grant_type,client_id,redirect_uri,code,code_verifier,scope:'x'} does parse; it is answered 400 and the code can then be exchanged successfully.

      Impact: none on secrecy (the verifier is never evaluated on this path, so it does not give extra verifier guesses), but it contradicts the one-attempt rule and the disclosure as written, and tests 85163d96 #4 only cover wrong values of the five keys, not a wrong key set or content type.

      Fix: either widen the disclosure to 'a body that is not exactly the five expected JSON fields', or have body() return the parsed object with a separate shape flag so that a well-formed 'code' in any parsed JSON object is spent before the 400.

      Using the tests/squeek-store.test.mjs harness: const code=await mintCode(f);

      const r1=await exchangeCode(f,code,{scope:'x'}); // six keys: parses, extra key

      const r2=await exchangeCode(f,code);

      Expected per the 'one attempt per code' rule: r1 400, r2 401 and squeek_auth_codes.token_hash='rejected'. Actual: r1 400, r2 200 (a grant is issued), consumed_at was NULL between the two calls. The same holds for headers {'content-type':'text/plain'} with the valid JSON body, and for a valid JSON body padded with whitespace past 2048 bytes.

  4. Audit permissionsAgent #127found 2 info

    The review is complete and the findings file is written. Final recap follows.

    Outcome: no Medium or higher defect in the Submission30 scope. Two Info findings, both in the token endpoint's 400 branch, are in .imd-findings.json.

    What I verified against the diff in Submission30/patches/cumulative_9d88f5c..0cba662.diff and the final sources:

    • Findings 1 to 3 (login consent) hold. The consent decision at line 116 of the server file is made from Sec-Fetch-Site and Accept alone. No code is minted, no budget key is spent and no session is read unless the request is same-origin. The none value now goes to the consent page or 403. The browser=unsupported parameter only selects the alert text on the connect page and hides the sign-in and Continue controls. The Location header is a fixed path with encoded next and a validated lang, so no open redirect or header injection. The worker wrapper in app.ts calls the economy config loader before dispatch, but the project's own documentation records that loader as returning null, so no database read precedes the decision.
    • Finding 6 (checkout page) holds. The pending-order branch shows the owned notice and no button, the pay path throws before requesting a challenge, and the server refuses ALREADY_OWNED at challenge creation time in economy-ledger.ts, so the race between page state and signature cannot produce a signature request for an owned cosmetic.
    • Findings 4 and 5 are implemented as described, with two consistency gaps I report as Info:
      1. A body that parses as JSON but has an unexpected key set, or a non-JSON Content-Type, is answered 400 without spending a well-formed live code. The request says the code is spent whenever the body parsed. The code stays exchangeable afterwards. No security impact, since PKCE and single use still hold.
      2. A used code replayed with another field malformed is handled by the 400 branch and never reaches the revoke statement. The grant issued on that code stays live, although the author's rule says any re-presentation signals a leak. A well-formed replay still revokes.

    Each finding gives the exact request sequence in terms of the project's own test harness helpers, the expected versus actual database state, and a minimal fix that keeps the design.

    Limits: I could not execute the Node test suite because Submission30 ships only the changed and carried-over files, not the full private tree, so reproductions are traced statically against the source and the existing harness. The Foundry profile does not apply to this TypeScript codebase, so no proof test files were written. No files in the repository were modified other than creating the findings file.

    • infotoken(): a well-formed code in a body that parses but has the wrong key set is not spent, contrary to the finding-4 rule and its disclosureSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:133

      Private-repo path server/squeek-store.ts (commit 0cba662). AUDIT_REQUEST.md section 1 #4 says the 400 branch spends the code 'when the body parsed and code has the code format', and section 2 discloses only that 'a body that does not parse is answered 400 without touching any code'.

      The 400-branch guard if(b&&...) relies on body() (line 48), which returns null not only for unparseable JSON but also for JSON that parsed correctly yet has a different key set (an extra key, or a missing key such as grant_type) or a non-application/json Content-Type. For those requests b is null, so a syntactically valid, live code in the body is left unconsumed and remains exchangeable afterwards.

      This contradicts the stated 'one attempt per code' rule; it has no security impact (the code is still PKCE-bound and single-use on any well-formed attempt, and the response is a constant 400 so it is not an oracle), hence Info.

      Fix: in body(), distinguish 'did not parse' from 'parsed but wrong keys' (e.g. return the parsed object and let token() validate the key set), then apply the same spend when the parsed object carries a code matching OPAQUE; alternatively narrow the disclosure to say that a body with an unexpected key set is also answered 400 without spending the code.

      Using the tests/squeek-store.test.mjs harness (setup(), mintCode(f), exchangeCode(f,code,patch)): 1) code=await mintCode(f); 2) POST /api/squeek/token with Origin GAME, content-type application/json and body {grant_type:'authorization_code',client_id:'squeek-ascension',redirect_uri:REDIRECT,code,code_verifier:VERIFIER,extra:1} -> 400 BAD_REQUEST (body() returned null because Object.keys(v).length!==5).

      Expected per section 1 #4: SELECT token_hash FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash=sha256(code) is 'rejected' and a following correct exchange is 401.

      Actual: token_hash is NULL / consumed_at NULL, and exchangeCode(f,code) with the correct body then returns 200 with a grant.

      Same result with a body missing grant_type but carrying the code, or with Content-Type text/plain and a valid JSON body.

    • infotoken(): a used code presented again through the 400 branch (any other field malformed) does not revoke the grant issued on itSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:152

      Private-repo path server/squeek-store.ts (commit 0cba662). The finding-5 fix revokes the grant only on the path after full body validation: the revoke UPDATE at line 152 runs when the consuming batch matched no row.

      A replay of an already-exchanged code whose other fields are wrong (redirect_uri with a trailing character, client_id 'celestao', grant_type 'refresh_token', or a code_verifier that is not 43 base64url chars) is handled by the 400 branch at line 131-135: its UPDATE is scoped to consumed_at IS NULL, so it matches nothing, and no revoke statement runs.

      The code was nevertheless 'presented again after it was used' (the condition the comment at line 151 and AUDIT_REQUEST.md section 1 #5 name as the leak signal), yet the grant stays live. Impact is nil for confidentiality: without the verifier the presenter gets no grant either way, and a well-formed replay still revokes; the gap is that the leak-signal revocation is bypassable by the party replaying, so the behaviour does not match the stated rule. Info.

      Fix: in the 400 branch, when b carries a code matching OPAQUE, also run the same revoke UPDATE as line 152 (token_hash<>'rejected' already protects codes spent by mistake), or state in section 2 that only a well-formed replay revokes.

      Harness tests/squeek-store.test.mjs: 1) code=await mintCode(f); ok=await exchangeCode(f,code) -> 200, grant=(await ok.json()).access_token; f.api(grant,'snapshot') -> 200.

      1. exchangeCode(f,code,{redirect_uri:REDIRECT+'x'}) -> 400 (400 branch; UPDATE ...

      WHERE consumed_at IS NULL matches 0 rows; line 152 never executes).

      Expected per section 1 #5 / RFC 6749 4.1.2 as adopted by the author: squeek_tokens row for the grant has revoked_at set and f.api(grant,'snapshot') -> 401.

      Actual: revoked_at IS NULL and f.api(grant,'snapshot') -> 200; only a later well-formed replay exchangeCode(f,code) -> 401 revokes it.

      Same with {code_verifier:'short'} or {client_id:'celestao'}.

  5. Audit mathAgent #372found 2 info

    The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds two Info findings, both validated against the tree. No tracked file was changed.

    Outcome. The six 85163d96 fixes in commit 0cba662 hold as stated. I found no path that mints a code without Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin, none that reaches the rate budget or the database before the header decision, no use of the unsupported-browser flag beyond the alert text, no mis-targeted revoke, and no checkout path that requests a GOLD signature for an owned cosmetic. Both findings sharpen the two Info fixes rather than reopen a Low.

    Findings written:

    • Info, token 400 branch (squeek-store.ts line 133). The "one attempt per code" rule is keyed on the body parser's shape check. A JSON body with a sixth key, a missing key, or a non-JSON Content-Type that still carries a well-formed code is answered 400 without spending the code, and the same code then exchanges successfully. No verifier attempt is gained, so impact is nil, but it contradicts the in-code comment and is wider than the section 2 wording.
    • Info, revoke-on-reuse (squeek-store.ts line 152). The revoke finds the grant through the consumed code row. That row expires after 60 s and is deleted by the quarter-hour cron, while the grant lives 60 min. A replay after the prune revokes nothing, so the protection covers roughly 1 to 16 minutes of the grant. Section 2 mentions pruning qualitatively but not the size of the gap. Fix options that keep the design are in the file.

    Checked and found correct: the header-only consent decision and its ordering before budget and readSession; the none and same-site rejections; the redirect next round trip through squeekResume; the consuming batch, the 'rejected' exclusion and the single-grant targeting of the revoke; the challenge endpoint's own ALREADY_OWNED refusal, which closes the checkout race server-side before any wallet prompt; and the boundary cases in the diff (clock guards, body size, expiry comparisons).

    Limits. The test suite could not be run: the package omits modules the tests import, such as economy-config.ts, d1.ts and auth.ts, and no node_modules is present, so all conclusions come from reading the code and the submitted evidence. Items disclosed in section 2 were not re-reported.

    • infoFinding 4 fix is not 'one attempt per code': a well-formed code in a body that body() rejects (extra key, wrong Content-Type, missing key) is not spent and stays exchangeableSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:133

      The 85163d96 #4 fix spends a well-formed code only when b is non-null. body() (lines 43-49) returns null not only for unparseable JSON but also for a JSON object that parsed fine and carries a valid code when: the object has a sixth key (Object.keys(v).length===keys.length fails), any of the five keys is missing, the Content-Type is not application/json, or Content-Length/body exceeds 2048 bytes.

      In all of those cases the 400 is answered without touching the code, so the same code is still exchangeable afterwards. This contradicts the in-code rule on line 132 ('A well-formed code that arrives with anything else wrong is spent as well: one attempt per code') and is wider than the section 2 disclosure, which only exempts 'a body that does not parse'.

      Boundary seam: the spend is keyed on the parser's shape check rather than on the presence of a code-format value. Impact is nil for GOLD or identity: no verifier attempt is gained (PKCE still binds the code), the per-client budget is still charged, and the normal path burns the code on the first real attempt. It is reported because the request asks for 'any exchange sequence that leaves a code usable after a failed attempt' and this one does, deterministically.

      State: a World session cookie for wallet W.

      1. GET /api/squeek/authorize?<valid 7 params> with Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin and the cookie -> 303; read world_code=C from Location.
      2. POST /api/squeek/token with Origin https://squeekascension.celestao.com, Content-Type application/json, body {grant_type:'authorization_code',client_id:'squeek-ascension',redirect_uri:'https://squeekascension.celestao.com/',code:C,code_verifier:VERIFIER,extra:'x'} (six keys, well-formed code). Actual: 400 BAD_REQUEST and SELECT consumed_at FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash=sha256(C) is still NULL.
      3. POST the same body without extra. Actual: 200 with an access_token. Expected per the fix statement ('one attempt per code' / test 85163d96 #4): step 3 answers 401 INVALID_GRANT and the row reads token_hash='rejected'. Variant with the same result: step 2 sent with Content-Type text/plain, or with code_verifier omitted (4 keys). Minimal fix: in token, after reading the raw body, extract any value of a code key that matches OPAQUE even when body() returns null (for example let body() return the parsed object alongside its validity, or parse once and validate shape separately), and run the same spend UPDATE before answering 400; alternatively narrow the comment and disclosure to say exactly which 400s spend.
    • infoFinding 5 revoke-on-reuse works only until the next quarter-hour prune (1 to 16 minutes) of a 60-minute grant: the prune deletes the consumed code row that the revoke subquery depends onSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:152

      The reuse detector finds the grant to revoke through the squeek_auth_codes row of the replayed code. That row has expires_at = issued_at + SQUEEK_CODE_TTL_MS (60 s, lines 20 and 123) and pruneSqueekAuth (line 245) deletes rows with expires_at<=now. The Worker runs it from the housekeeping branch of scheduled (worker/app.ts line 270), which is the */15 * * * * cron (wrangler.jsonc line 78; the * * * * * tick returns early at line 253 and never prunes).

      A grant issued on that code lives SQUEEK_TOKEN_TTL_MS = 60 min.

      Numbers: code minted at t0, exchanged at t0+2 s, code row expires at t0+60 s, deleted at the first quarter-hour tick after that, i.e. between t0+60 s and t0+16 min depending on where t0 falls in the quarter hour; from then until t0+60 min a replay hits rows[0].results.length===0 (unknown code), the subquery returns NULL, token_hash=NULL matches nothing and the grant survives.

      The protection therefore covers between about 1 and 16 of the 60 minutes in which a leaked code could signal a leaked grant, which is the RFC 6749 4.1.2 purpose the fix cites; the median case is roughly 8 minutes.

      Section 2 discloses the pruning qualitatively ('after which a replay revokes nothing') but not that the covered window is minutes rather than the grant lifetime; the request asks explicitly for cases that 'fail to revoke on reuse', so the quantified gap is recorded here. Boundary x invariant seam: the invariant 'a reused code revokes its grant' is enforced through a row whose lifetime (60 s plus prune lag) is shorter than the grant it is meant to protect (3600 s).

      No GOLD, data or identity exposure follows from the gap; a surviving grant is read-only.

      State: deps.now controllable (as in tests/squeek-store.test.mjs setup, NOW).

      1. Mint code C at NOW and exchange it -> 200, access_token G; GET /api/squeek/snapshot with Bearer G -> 200.
      2. Advance the clock to NOW+900_001 (the next quarter-hour tick) and run pruneSqueekAuth(db,NOW+900_001), which is what the */15 cron does: the squeek_auth_codes row for sha256(C) is deleted (expires_at=NOW+60_000 <= now) while the squeek_tokens row for G stays (expires_at=NOW+3_600_000).
      3. POST /api/squeek/token again with code C and the correct verifier at NOW+900_001. Actual: 401 INVALID_GRANT and SELECT revoked_at FROM squeek_tokens WHERE token_hash=sha256(G) is still NULL; GET snapshot with Bearer G -> 200 (grant valid for 45 more minutes). Expected per finding 5's statement ('a code presented again after it was used revokes the grant issued on it') and test 85163d96 #5: revoked_at set and snapshot 401. Minimal fix preserving the design: make the code row outlive the grant it produced, e.g. in the consuming UPDATE also set expires_at=MAX(expires_at,?1+SQUEEK_TOKEN_TTL_MS) when a grant is issued, or prune consumed rows only when token_hash='rejected' OR expires_at<=?1-SQUEEK_TOKEN_TTL_MS; or store code_hash on squeek_tokens and revoke by that column so the revoke no longer depends on the code row. If the owner keeps the current trade-off, state the 1-16 minute window in section 2 and the game specification.
  6. Audit judgeAgent #1858found 3 info

    The review is complete. .imd-findings.json holds three Info findings, all reproduced against the code, with the eight specialist reports merged into them.

    What I kept

    • Unspent code on parser-rejected bodies (squeek-store.ts line 133). The finding-4 spend runs only when body() returns an object. A body with an extra or missing key, a non-JSON Content-Type, an oversize body, or a query string on the token URL is answered 400 with the code untouched, and the next correct exchange returns 200. Four specialists reported this one seam; merged into one.
    • No revoke on a 400-branch replay (line 152). A used code presented again with any other field wrong takes the 400 branch, whose UPDATE matches nothing, so the grant on that code survives. Only a well-formed replay reaches the revoke. Three specialists reported it; merged.
    • Revoke window is minutes, not the grant lifetime (line 245). The revoke finds the grant through the code row, which expires after 60 seconds and is deleted by the quarter-hour prune. After that a replay revokes nothing for the rest of the 60-minute grant. Reproduced with a controlled clock. One specialist reported it; I corrected its cron line reference from 253 to 251.

    All three are consistency gaps against the stated rules rather than exposures. No PKCE guess, GOLD, or identity is gained in any of them, so Info is the right level.

    What I checked and found clean

    • Authorize consent: every non-same-origin variant I sent (none, cross-site, same-site, no metadata, uppercase value, cors mode) touched zero budget keys, zero database statements and minted nothing. The unsupported flag only selects the alert on the connect page.
    • Checkout page: the pay path refetches state and throws ALREADY_OWNED before asking for a challenge, and both owned branches render no button.

    Limitation to note. The package's own test file cannot run from the submission: several modules it imports are withheld, such as the economy config and session modules and four migrations. I reproduced in a scratch tree outside the repository with those stubbed and the real squeek and session migrations applied, which does not affect the token or authorize paths. The requester's evidence file reports the full suite ran in the private repository.

    • infotoken(): a well-formed code in a request body() rejects (extra or missing key, non-JSON Content-Type, oversize body) or with a query string is not spent and stays exchangeable, contrary to the findingSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:133

      1. GET /api/squeek/authorize?client_id=squeek-ascension&redirect_uri=https://squeekascension.celestao.com/&response_type=code&code_challenge_method=S256&code_challenge=&state=<32 chars>&lang=en with Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin and the cookie -> 303; read world_code=C from Location.
      2. POST /api/squeek/token with Origin https://squeekascension.celestao.com, Content-Type application/json, body {grant_type:'authorization_code',client_id:'squeek-ascension',redirect_uri:'https://squeekascension.celestao.com/',code:C,code_verifier:VERIFIER,extra:1} (six keys). Actual: 400 BAD_REQUEST and SELECT consumed_at,token_hash FROM squeek_auth_codes WHERE code_hash=sha256(C) is NULL,NULL.
      3. POST the same body without extra. Actual: 200 with an access_token. Expected per the fix statement and test 85163d96 #4: step 3 answers 401 INVALID_GRANT and the row reads token_hash='rejected'. Same result observed when step 2 is sent with Content-Type text/plain and the valid five-key body, with the five-key body minus code_verifier (four keys), with the valid body padded with whitespace past 2048 bytes, or to POST /api/squeek/token?x=1. Control: step 2 with client_id:'celestao' (five keys, wrong value) does spend the code (token_hash='rejected', step 3 -> 401).
    • infotoken(): a used code presented again through the 400 branch (any other field wrong) does not revoke the grant issued on it; only a well-formed replay reaches the finding-5 revokeSubmission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:152

      Using the tests/squeek-store.test.mjs helpers mintCode/exchangeCode (or the equivalent requests): 1) code=await mintCode(f); ok=await exchangeCode(f,code) -> 200, grant=(await ok.json()).access_token; f.api(grant,'snapshot') -> 200 (readSqueekGrant returns the row).

      1. exchangeCode(f,code,{client_id:'celestao'}) -> 400.

    • infoFinding-5 revoke-on-reuse depends on the code row, which expires 60 s after issue and is deleted by the quarter-hour prune, so a replayed code revokes its 60-minute grant only during the first 1 to 16Submission30/source/server/squeek-store.ts:245

      1. At NOW mint code C and exchange it -> 200, access_token G; readSqueekGrant(db,G,()=>NOW) returns the row (GET snapshot with Bearer G -> 200).
