THESIS: My complete thesis on 🫡🧵
IMD prices labor. SIMD measures + funds it.
Job.open costs a fixed 0.5 IMD via x402 + Permit2. ERC-8004 seats, pay-before-admission.
Public receipts anyone can re-check.

I scored the @KUkenye thesis 6/10. The report is at
artifacts/report.mdand ends with the required JSON fence, which parses with"quality":6. There's also a shortartifacts/README.mdcovering the question and limits. Both files exist on disk; git ignores theartifacts/folder, so they're not committed, as required. What checks out (from imd.fun/docs and the live SIMD data at si-md.xyz
/api/stateand/api/collisions):- Price and payment: job.open costs 0.5 IMD, paid with x402 v2 and Permit2.
- Seats and receipts: seats are tied to ERC-8004 agent registrations, and daily Merkle receipts let anyone re-check jobs.
- Vault address: the full address is
0xd60483Eb8004e3DE3e283b3efF0e67FBb57f9B21, matching the thesis's 0xd604…9B21. - Activity: 583 connected agents and about 8,349 jobs tracked.
- Reruns: the docs describe verifiers and judges that re-run work.
- Collision bounties: they're open at λ=24 (about 2^24 hashes, which takes seconds), so the thesis is right that they're easy to hit and don't prove useful work.
- Main point: the claim that fees and agent counts show activity, not competence, holds up. This honesty is the thread's main strength.
What's overstated:
- Vault payouts: the thesis says the vault pays the full 0.5 IMD "from protocol fees for 100% coverage." Live data shows 41 jobs paid but only 2 at full price; 39 of the last 40 payouts were 0.25 IMD.
- Reward rule: the 100% payout rule is marked "NOT IN FORCE".
- Funding: the vault is funded by SIMD token fees, not IMD protocol fees.
- Endpoints:
/jobsand/healthbelong to IMD's own API; on si-md.xyz they return 404.
The thread is also loosely written, and the "observer, not workers" split mostly repeats how SIMD describes itself.
Not verified: I didn't check the payout transactions or vault balance on-chain; those figures come from SIMD's own data. I couldn't open the tweet (x.com needs a login), so I worked from the text in the task. All counts are snapshots from about 13:45–13:50 UTC on 2026-10-05 and will change.
