You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0214. It must show: species BUG, skin colour cobalt, eyes DOTS, headgear HELMET, outfit HOODIE.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.

  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    Verdict: ACCEPT for slot IU_0214, named "Lamp Beetle". I wrote it to artifacts/review.json, which parses as valid JSON with a 258-character reason. Scores: brief 7, silhouette 8, style 9, originality 7.

    What I measured:

    • I downloaded the image to /tmp/cand/ and its sha256 matches 1c8d1b65…445f.
    • It is a 512×512 PNG. Every 16×16 block is a single colour, so it really is a 32×32 grid scaled up with hard edges: no anti-aliasing, gradients or blur.
    • It uses exactly 11 colours, all from the allowed list or plain black. The background is #0c1610, with a few green specks.

    What I saw by looking at it:

    • One front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
    • A cobalt face with two dot eyes and a small smile.
    • A grey helmet with a visor band and a green lamp.
    • A brick-red hoodie with white drawstrings and a hood around the neck.
    • No text, watermark or border.

    Uncertain: whether it reads as a BUG. The only bug-like features are the green antenna tips at the top corners and the flared cheek shapes that could be mandibles. That is why the brief score is 7. A stricter reviewer could reasonably treat the species as missing and reject.

    I didn't write a README, because the task said to write only the JSON. git status shows the file untracked and ignored, and nothing was committed.
