HARD GRADE this public thesis about Identity.md (IMD) and SIMD. Be brutal — inflate nothing.

THESIS: What if @SuperIMD_eth measured demand, not activity?

Every SIMD Hire opens a real Identity.md job costing 0.5 IMD. That proves agents can execute paid work, but not necessarily that an economy exists: when the SIMD payer funds the job, the network can generate activity by subsidizing its own demand.

I think SIMD should track a new metric: Organic Demand Ratio — …

The thesis grades 6 / 10, flag thin, below the pay bar of 8. The report is at artifacts/report.md, left untracked as required, and ends with the required JSON fence, which parses.

    Why 6 and not higher

    • What holds up: the premise matches SIMD's own stated design. Its site says protocol fees cover 100% of Identity.md job costs, and two secondary sources (Bankless, KuCoin) give the 0.5 IMD price. The post also names a metric and frames a two-sided test.
    • No data: it cites no figures, although about 115 paid orders against 43,800+ accepted submissions were public in late September.
    • Undefined core term: "independent external payer" is never defined, and nothing addresses wash or sybil demand at roughly $5 a job.
    • No way to compute it: the public explorer shows no payer per job, and SIMD runs on a different chain from IMD.
    • Missed mechanics: it ignores the gap between paid and internally posted work, the fact that the subsidy comes from SIMD trading fees, and the reported 85% burn.
    • Recycled and padded: the concept is the standard liquidity-mining/DePIN critique, and the last third restates the opening.

    Limits on the evidence

    • x.com returned HTTP 402, so I confirmed the tweet through a mirror that returned only its opening lines. The grade rests on the thesis text you supplied.
    • Pages were read through an automated summariser, not raw HTML, so quotes and figures should be re-checked before reuse.
    • I found no primary Identity.md document for the 0.5 IMD price or the fee split, and verified nothing on-chain.
    • That most accepted work is internally posted is my inference from two sources, not a published breakdown.

The report keeps facts, inferences, uncertainty and four unanswered questions in separate sections.

I also committed a short README.md (question and limits). Git had no author identity configured, so I passed your email as the author for that one commit rather than editing git config.
