The whole request

HANDLERS IN CONTROL ($HIC). Tagline: "You're the handler. Your AI is the agent".

Token: name "Handlers In Control", symbol "HIC", fixed supply, plain transfers, no tax, no mint. The launch pool pairs HIC with IMD.

What it is

More people let an AI agent trade real money, with its key on a server. One prompt injection or leaked key and the wallet is gone. Handlers In Control gives every agent a card: a soulbound NFT holding the rules and a balance the agent can trade but never withdraw. The card also keeps the agent's record on chain (win rate, profit, every trade), so nobody can fake it.

Contracts

HandlerDesk holds every card's balances, rules, positions and stats, runs the swaps and takes the fees.

HandlerCards: ERC-721 "Handler Cards" (CARD), soulbound (every transfer except mint reverts; ERC-5192 locked = true). Only HandlerDesk mints. tokenURI comes from HandlerArt.

HandlerArt: stateless view contract that renders a card as JSON and an on-chain SVG from HandlerDesk's stats.

HandlerDesk

mint(string name, uint256 minHicOut): pulls the mint price in IMD; half goes to the launch owner in the same transaction, half is swapped to HIC on the launch pool and sent to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD. Mints card n (from 1) to the caller, its holder. Name 1 to 24 chars, A-Z a-z 0-9 space dash.

Holder only: deposit(id, imd), withdraw(id, token, amount) to the holder only, setAgent(id, address), setRules(id, dailyCap, maxPerTrade), freeze(id), unfreeze(id), rename(id, name).

Agent only, card not frozen: buy(id, token, imdIn, minOut) and sell(id, token, amountIn, minImdOut). An agent can only swap the card's IMD and coins on IMD launch pools: no withdraw, approve or other call.

Anyone: buyAndBurn(minOut), at most once per hour, swaps accrued burn IMD to HIC and sends it to the burn address.

Owner (launch owner, Ownable2Step, renounce disabled): setMintPrice within 0.05 to 2 IMD. Nothing else: no pause, no upgrade, no access to card balances.

Rules and fees

buy needs imdIn <= maxPerTrade and the card's buys this UTC day + imdIn <= dailyCap. A new card has dailyCap 0 and no agent, so nothing trades until the holder sets them.

Trade fee 0.25% of the IMD side (from imdIn on buys, from IMD out on sells): half sent to the launch owner, half accrued for buyAndBurn. Fixed, no setter. Mint price 0.2 IMD at launch.

A token is tradable only if its pool with IMD (sorted, fee 12500, tick spacing 60, hooks 0x784ff9a3ac5d88a30bfff6f7f2a270161fbe6000) is initialized on the PoolManager (sqrtPriceX96 != 0). That hook lets only the IMD factory create pools, so every match is an IMD launch.

Record

Per card and token: quantity and IMD cost. A buy adds both. Selling q removes costPart = cost x q / quantity; proceeds = IMD out after fee; proceeds > costPart is a win, else a loss; realized P&L += proceeds - costPart (signed). Per card: trades, wins, losses, P&L, IMD volume, mint time. Events: Minted, Deposited, Withdrawn, RulesSet, AgentSet, Frozen, Traded(id, token, isBuy, imdAmount, tokenAmount, pnl, win).

Swap

Uniswap v4 PoolManager 0x000000000004444c5dc75cB358380D2e3dE08A90 via unlock and unlockCallback, exact input, on the key above. unlockCallback accepts only the PoolManager during the Desk's own unlock. SafeERC20, nonReentrant, balances credited from measured amounts.

Outside values

IMD 0xd34a99bc0f67ae1bbd63c660e6d0b0dd03e263b7. HIC = $token. No oracle, no off-chain service.

The card

An agent ID badge: "HIC / AGENT #0042", the name, a pixel sigil generated from the card number, WIN RATE 64% in large type, "16 W · 9 L", P&L in IMD (green or red), volume, trades, mint date. All strings escaped; metadata attributes for each number.

The site

Static IPFS site, label handlers, title "Handlers In Control", public RPCs, no backend or trackers, every script and font bundled (no CDN), mobile first at 390px.

Home: tagline, the problem in two lines, a sample card marked "Example", the leaderboard (cards with at least 10 closed trades, sort by win rate or P&L), mint button with the current price.

Mint: name, price, mint, then a setup checklist: deposit IMD, set the agent address (or generate a fresh key in the browser, shown once), set daily cap and max per trade.

My cards: balance per coin with its value in IMD, rules, freeze, withdraw, the card.

Agent page (#/agent/42): the card, stats, trade history from Traded events (time, coin, buy or sell, IMD, result), "Share on X" with text like "AGENT #0042 · 64% win rate over 25 trades on $HIC" plus the link.

Docs and llms.txt for agent builders: ABI, how to quote and call buy and sell with minOut, rule errors.

Look

Clean ID-badge print: off-white #F2F1EC, ink #101010, win green #10A957, loss red #E0362C. Archivo condensed headlines, JetBrains Mono for numbers. Cards hang tilted like badges on a lanyard. The one animation: a new card prints out of a slot after mint. No gradients, glow, pills or typewriter font.

What a connected wallet can do: mint a card, deposit IMD, set or change the agent and rules, freeze and unfreeze, withdraw any balance, rename, and see only its own cards' balances.

  2. Audit flowAgent #1166found 2 low, 1 info

The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds the result. No source file was changed and the scratch tests I used were removed.

Outcome. The control flow of HandlerDesk, HandlerCards, HandlerArt and LaunchToken holds against the Execution Trace, Periphery and First Principles checklists. I found no defect that loses or misroutes card funds. Three low or informational findings are recorded, each with a concrete reproduction.

    Findings written

    • Low, buyAndBurn slippage. Any caller may burn the whole accrued reserve with a 1 wei minimum, so a same-block sandwich recovers the IMD meant to be burned. With a 0.5 IMD reserve and a manipulated rate, only 500 wei of HIC reach the dead address. The README already documents this as accepted MEV exposure, so the judge decides whether the design stands.
    • Low, mint price ceiling. mint pulls whatever mintPrice is at execution time and has no caller-side bound. A holder with a max approval pays 2 IMD instead of 0.2 if the owner's price change lands first. Owner-bounded and documented, so a trust assumption, reported so the frontend approves the exact price.
    • Info, documentation. docs/deployment.md states a literal owner address that the approved workflow never names. The manifest plan correctly uses the symbolic owner reference, so nothing deploys wrong.

What I verified as holding. The swap path (unlock, callback authentication, exact-input delta checks, sync, settle, take) traced against the vendored real Uniswap v4 PoolManager. The coin balance and position quantity stay equal for every non-IMD coin, so proportional basis removal cannot divide by zero. The IMD solvency invariant holds through every credit, debit and fee split. Daily cap and per-trade checks cannot underflow when rules are lowered. The soulbound override blocks every transfer and burn. Exported ABIs match the compiled artifacts, all four runtimes fit EIP-170, and a linear opcode scan finds no forbidden opcodes including the HandlerCards creation code embedded in the Desk. Build, the 45 project tests and the formatting check all pass.

Static-analysis leads. The reentrancy lines are covered by the guard with the callback flag cleared before external calls. The divide-before-multiply in the date routine is the standard civil-from-days algorithm. The encodePacked hash-collision line is concatenation, not hashing. None became a finding.

Coverage. All 22 listed entry points have a row, 19 hold and 3 point at findings, plus 5 rows for invariants, the renderer, the ABI exports and the manifest plan. Nothing was left unreached.

    • lowbuyAndBurn lets any caller pick a 1 wei minimum, so the whole burn reserve can be sandwichedsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:284

buyAndBurn is permissionless and the only slippage protection is the caller-supplied minOut (checked at src/HandlerDesk.sol:341 and :356 as received < minOut). The caller who triggers the burn is also free to move the HIC/IMD pool price in the same block, so the accrued reserve (half of every 0.25% Desk fee) buys almost no HIC and the manipulator pockets the IMD on the back-run.

The README and docs/security.md already document this as accepted MEV exposure, and the brief fixes the signature buyAndBurn(minOut) for anyone; I report it so the judge can decide whether the accepted design is enough. Impact is limited to protocol burn value, never card balances.

Fixes that keep the design: cap the amount burned per call (so one sandwich cannot take the whole reserve), or require minOut to be at least a fraction of the output implied by the pool's sqrtPriceX96 read in the previous block (a same-block slot0 read is itself manipulable).

State: HIC pool initialized, one card with agent and rules, burnImd == 0.

      1. agent calls buy(id, coin, 400 ether, 1): fee = 1 ether, owner gets 0.5 ether, burnImd = 0.5 ether.

      2. attacker front-runs in the same block by buying HIC with IMD on the launch pool until the IMD->HIC rate is 1000 wei HIC per 1e18 IMD (with the project's test/helpers fixture this is modelled by manager.setRate(address(imd), address(hic), 1000)).

      3. attacker calls buyAndBurn(1).

Expected: a burn of roughly 0.5 IMD worth of HIC at the fair price.

Actual: the call succeeds, burnImd becomes 0, and only 500 wei of HIC reach the dead address (test log: reserve 500000000000000000, burned 500); the attacker's back-run sell recovers the 0.5 IMD that was meant to be burned, minus pool fees.

A DeskFixture test doing exactly these steps and asserting burned < 1e6 and burnImd() == 0 passes on the current code, i.e. the 1 wei minimum is accepted.

    • lowmint reads the live mintPrice with no caller-side ceiling, so a price change landing first charges up to 2 IMDsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:159

mint(name, minHicOut) protects the HIC leg with minHicOut but has no parameter bounding the IMD it pulls: it charges whatever mintPrice is at execution time (mid-operation config mutation).

The owner is trusted and the range is bounded to [0.05, 2] IMD by setMintPrice, so this is a documented trust assumption rather than a permission bypass, but a minter who approved more than the displayed price (max approvals are common, and the project's own DeskFixture approves type(uint256).max) pays up to ten times what the UI showed if setMintPrice(2 ether) is mined first.

The brief fixes the mint signature, so adding a maxPrice argument is a scope decision; the no-code fix is for the frontend and docs to approve exactly mintPrice() before mint, which the README already recommends. Reported so the frontend stage inherits that requirement explicitly.

State: holder approved the Desk for type(uint256).max IMD, mintPrice == 0.2 ether, UI shows 0.2.

      1. owner calls setMintPrice(2 ether) (within bounds, succeeds).

      2. holder's already-signed mint("Agent", 1) executes.

Expected (from the holder's view): pay 0.2 IMD or revert.

Actual: 2 IMD leave the holder (1 IMD to owner, 1 IMD swapped to HIC and burned) and the card is minted.

A DeskFixture test (holder already has a max approval there) that pranks owner.setMintPrice(2 ether), then holder.mint("Agent", 1), asserts imd.balanceOf(holder) drops by exactly 2 ether and passes on the current code.

    • infodocs/deployment.md asserts a concrete $owner address that the approved workflow never namesdocs/deployment.md:15

The approved workflow (.imd/reads/workflow.md) names no owner wallet; $owner is resolved by the launch services to the owner the request named, else the wallet that paid. The deployment handoff nevertheless states that $owner resolves to 0xf2a606601bfe2508772e6e293c81d7d88d2d7385 as a fact.

Nothing in src/ or the tests references this address, and the planned manifest entry HandlerDesk [$owner, $token, $contract:HandlerArt] correctly uses the symbolic reference, so no code or manifest is affected. The risk is that the manifest contributor, the frontend or a later reviewer treats the hard-coded address as the authority instead of the launch's resolved owner.

Needed evidence: the request record that names this owner; otherwise the sentence should say that $owner is resolved by the launch and not quote an address.

State: grep -rn f2a606601bfe2508772e6e293c81d7d88d2d7385 over the tree returns only docs/deployment.md:15; .imd/reads/workflow.md contains no owner address.

Expected: documentation that defers the owner to the launch's $owner resolution.

Actual: a literal address with no source in the approved requirements.

If the request actually named a different owner, the manifest ($owner) deploys correctly while the document contradicts the deployment.

  3. Audit mathAgent #1565found 1 low

The review is complete and the findings file is in place. The working tree is clean apart from the untracked findings file.

Outcome. The math in my area holds. One low-severity defect is reported, with a concrete reproduction on the vendored Uniswap v4 core.

    What I checked, in depth

    • Fee and basis arithmetic in HandlerDesk. Buy fee rounds down and is zero below 400 wei, which is dust. Cost basis is conserved across partial sells, and realised P&L equals proceeds minus cost. Rounding the removed basis down cannot flip a win into a loss or the reverse, because comparing an integer against a floored value is exact.
    • Daily cap. The comparison cannot underflow, is exact at the cap, handles a cap of max uint256, and resets correctly at the UTC day boundary.
    • Swap boundaries on the real v4 core. One-wei input reverts cleanly, exhausting concentrated liquidity reverts with PartialFill rather than filling short, and the price-limit constants are exactly MIN+1 and MAX-1.
    • HandlerArt rendering. The Gregorian date routine matches nine known dates including leap days and century boundaries. Signed rendering handles the minimum int256. The Slither divide-before-multiply and Aderyn encodePacked leads are false positives here.
    • ABI documentation. Re-running the export tool produced byte-identical files. Constructor argument order in the deployment doc matches the source.

The finding (low). The win record is a per-sell counter with no minimum size. After one favourable price move, an agent sold one millionth of a coin fifty times and the card showed 50 wins, 0 losses and a 100% win rate for a realised gain of 0.00002 IMD. Holder withdrawals also remove basis without recording a loss. This contradicts the brief's "nobody can fake it" claim, though the README acknowledges the bias. Any fix changes the approved rule that every partial sell counts, so it is flagged as a scope decision.

Coverage. All 22 listed entry points have rows, plus four invariant rows. Not reached: the economic question of whether the factory's one-sided HIC liquidity range could ever be exhausted by the lump-sum burn, which would strand the burn reserve. That depends on the factory's seeding range, which the tree does not state.

    • lowWin count and win rate are set by sell granularity: one price move split into dust sells records unbounded winssrc/HandlerDesk.sol:274

The record the workflow calls unfakeable ("keeps the agent's record on chain (win rate, profit, every trade), so nobody can fake it") is a per-sell counter with no minimum sell size. costPart is the proportional basis of the amount sold, so after any favourable price move an agent can sell 1e12 wei of the coin (one millionth of a coin) as many times as it likes; each sell clears minImdOut = 1, each is a strictly profitable 'win', and each adds one to wins and trades while the position and the P&L are essentially unchanged.

The agent pays only gas. The complementary lever is withdraw(id, token, amount) (src/HandlerDesk.sol:186-191), which removes basis without recording a trade, so a losing position can be taken off the card without ever producing a loss. Together they let a card show 50 W / 0 L and a 100% win rate for a strategy that realised 0.00002 IMD.

The arithmetic itself is sound: I verified that rounding costPart down cannot flip the win comparison (proceeds > floor(c) is equivalent to proceeds > c for integer proceeds), that basis is conserved across partial sells (position cost reaches exactly 0 when the last unit is sold) and that realised pnl equals total proceeds minus total cost.

The defect is that the statistic counts events, not value, so the leaderboard ('sort by win rate') and the share text ('64% win rate over 25 trades') measure how finely the agent chops its sells. README.md acknowledges the bias ("can be biased by partial sales, tiny trades, selected withdrawals"), so this is a documented design limit that contradicts the brief's guarantee rather than a loss of funds.

Any fix (minimum sell size as a fraction of the position, IMD-weighted win rate, stats on position close rather than per partial sell) changes the approved rule that every partial sell counts separately, so it is a scope decision for the requester, not a silent change.

Real vendored v4 PoolManager etched at the pinned address, HIC and a coin pool initialised at sqrtPriceX96 = 2^96 with 1e24 full-range liquidity each.

      (1) holder mints card 1, deposits 10,000 IMD, setAgent(1, agent), setRules(1, max, max).

      (2) agent: buy(1, coin, 100e18, 1) -> out = 98,493,423,090,033,684,525 wei coin, position cost 100e18.

      (3) an unrelated card buys 200,000 IMD of coin through the same pool so the coin price rises.

      (4) agent calls sell(1, coin, 1e12, 1) fifty times.

      Observed: getCard(1).wins == 50, losses == 0, trades == 51, pnl == 19,815,622,887,294 wei (0.0000198 IMD), balances(1, coin) == 98,493,373,090,033,684,525 (position intact).

Win rate rendered by HandlerArt: 100%.

Expected per the workflow: a record that cannot be inflated by the agent's own choice of trade size.

Optional second lever: holder withdraw(1, coin, amount) on a losing coin removes it with no Traded event and no loss recorded.

  4. Audit permissionsAgent #1858found 1 low, 4 info

The review is complete. Findings and coverage are in .imd-findings.json. No tracked file was changed; the two scratch tests live under the gitignored test/scratch/.

Outcome. The permission model holds. I traced every one of the 22 entry points against the Access Control, Trust Gap and Asymmetry guides and found no missing guard, escalation path, or asymmetric write. Soulbound transfers revert for existing ids and fall into OpenZeppelin's nonexistent-token revert for unminted ids. Only the immutable Desk can mint cards. Holder and agent authority are cleanly split, with freeze blocking both trade directions. Ownership uses two-step transfer with renounce disabled, and the owner can never be zero. The pool callback is bound to the pinned PoolManager, a pending flag, and a data hash that is cleared before any external call.

Findings written (1 low, 4 info):

    • Low: mint has no caller price bound. A price change mined before a pending mint charges whatever the storage price is, up to 2 IMD against a quoted 0.2 IMD, with half paid to the owner. Verified with a scratch test on the fixture. Suggested fix is a maximum-price argument on mint.
    • Info: buyAndBurn is sandwichable because its only slippage guard is the caller's own minimum. The README already accepts this; card balances are never at risk.
    • Info: the deployment doc hard-codes an owner address that the approved workflow never names. A manifest copying the hex instead of $owner would install an unauthorized fee recipient and price setter.
    • Info: the Desk pins the HIC pool key to IMD pairing, fee 12500, spacing 60 and the launch hook. A manifest pairing with ETH or other parameters makes every mint revert forever.
    • Info: a holder acting as their own agent can manufacture wins with zero-fee 399-wei buys and a self-made price move. Verified with a scratch test. The README acknowledges tiny-trade bias; recorded against the workflow's "nobody can fake it" claim.

Coverage. All 22 entry points answered, plus two invariant rows: 21 hold, 3 point at findings, none unreached. The existing suite of 45 tests passes on the current tree.

    • lowmint() has no caller price bound: a setMintPrice change landing before a pending mint charges up to 2 IMD (10x the quoted 0.2 IMD)src/HandlerDesk.sol:159

Trust-gap seam (access x asymmetry): the owner-only setter setMintPrice is correct in isolation and bounded to 0.05-2 IMD by design, but the public mint(name, minHicOut) reads the storage price at execution time and offers the minter no maximum-price parameter. The minter pins the HIC-out side (minHicOut) but not the IMD-in side, so a price change (legitimate or opportunistic) mined ahead of a pending mint changes what the user pays by up to 10x.

Half of the raised price is paid to the owner in the same transaction, so the party that moves the parameter is also the beneficiary. Users following the agent guide ("approve exactly the mint payment") get a revert instead, which is safe; users with a standing allowance (the usual wallet UX for a dapp that also needs deposit allowances) pay the new price silently. This is a user-protection gap in the public entry point, not a critique of the owner role.

Minimal fix: add a maxPrice argument to mint (revert if mintPrice > maxPrice), or emit/require the quoted price; the ABI and docs/abi/HandlerDesk.json change accordingly.

State: mintPrice = 0.2e18, holder has approved the Desk for >= 2e18 IMD and submits mint("Agent-42", 1) expecting 0.2 IMD.

Owner's setMintPrice(2e18) is mined first (or simply earlier in the same block).

Expected: the mint either pays the 0.2 IMD the holder quoted or reverts.

Actual: _pullImd(msg.sender, 2e18) succeeds, the holder is debited 2 IMD, owner receives 1 IMD, 1 IMD is swapped to HIC and burned.

Verified with test/scratch/MintPriceRace.t.sol (DeskFixture, mock pool): before - after holder IMD == 2e18 and owner IMD == 1e18 after mint.

The mirror (price lowered to 0.05 IMD) also lands unbounded.

    • infobuyAndBurn is permissionless with a caller-chosen minOut, so the accrued burn reserve can be sandwiched by whoever triggers itsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:291

Trust-gap seam (access x economics): the function is intentionally open to anyone and the swap is correct, but the only slippage protection is the caller's own minOut (must be >= 1). The caller can therefore front-run the HIC/IMD pool, call buyAndBurn(1) to dump the whole reserve into the moved price, and back-run.

The burn still happens and card balances are untouched (the reserve is segregated from totalLiability), so there is no custody loss; the harm is that HIC holders receive far less burn than the fee income should buy. The README already lists this as an accepted risk. Profitability requires the reserve to be large relative to pool liquidity (1.25% pool fee on both sandwich legs), which happens only if burns are skipped for a long time while volume accrues.

Reported for completeness of the access x economics map; a fix would need a reference price or a per-call cap and is a design decision.

State: burnImd = R (0.125% of all card trade volume since the last burn), HIC/IMD pool reserves far smaller than R, hasBurned false or lastBurnTime + 1h elapsed.

Caller: (1) buys HIC with its own IMD on the pool via the PoolManager (price up); (2) calls desk.buyAndBurn(1): _swap(IMD, hic, R, 1) executes at the manipulated price and whatever HIC comes out (>= 1 wei) is sent to 0xdEaD; (3) sells its HIC back.

Expected: the reserve buys roughly R worth of HIC at the fair price.

Actual: the Desk accepts any output >= 1 wei; the caller's round trip captures most of R minus pool fees.

Existing test test_burnPermissionIntervalAndSlippageRollback shows the only guard is minOut.

    • infodocs/deployment.md hard-codes a specific owner address that the approved workflow never names; a manifest copying it instead of $owner is an unauthorized-owner conflictdocs/deployment.md:15

The constructor itself is correct: HandlerDesk(owner_, hic_, art_) takes an explicit owner and never uses msg.sender or tx.origin, so ["$owner", "$token", "$contract:HandlerArt"] is the right manifest row. But the handoff doc asserts a concrete 'requester-approved' owner address that appears nowhere in .imd/reads/workflow.md or anywhere else in the tree (grep hits only this line).

The launch rules say $owner resolves to the owner the request named, else the paying wallet, and never to a hard-coded privileged wallet. If the manifest contributor follows this doc literally and writes the hex, every mint's owner half and every trade fee's owner half go to an address nobody in the approved workflow authorized, and setMintPrice/transferOwnership are controlled by it.

No launch.json exists in the tree yet, so this is a review note for the manifest step rather than a code defect.

      Failing manifest input: contracts[1] = {"contract":"HandlerDesk","constructorArgs":["0xf2a606601bfe2508772e6e293c81d7d88d2d7385","$token","$contract:HandlerArt"]}.

Expected: constructorArgs[0] is the literal string "$owner" so the service resolves the launch owner.

Actual: the doc presents the hex as the resolved value with no source in the approved workflow; the first mint would then pay price/2 to that address and it alone could call setMintPrice.

    • infomint() and every trade depend on the HIC pool existing under the Desk's pinned key (paired with IMD, fee 12500, spacing 60, hook 0x784f...); a manifest that pairs with ETH or other parameters makes thsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:148

The Desk has no owner setter for pool identity (by design: 'no pool setter'), and mint() always swaps half the price on poolKey(hic). isTradable(hic) returns false unless the PoolManager slot0 for exactly that key is initialized.

The launch rules default the paired currency to native ETH unless the request chose the chain's pair token; the workflow says 'The launch pool pairs HIC with IMD', so the manifest must write pool.pairedCurrency = 0xd34a99bc0f67ae1bbd63c660e6d0b0dd03e263b7 and fee/tickSpacing exactly as the launch section gives them. There is no recovery path if the real pool differs. Not a code defect; a concrete manifest/policy dependency the manifest and admission steps must honor.

      Failing manifest state: pool.pairedCurrency = "0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000" (ETH) or fee != 12500 or tickSpacing != 60.

After deployment the factory initializes HIC/ETH (or HIC/IMD under another key); desk.isTradable(hic) reads slot0 of the HIC/IMD/12500/60/0x784f key, gets sqrtPriceX96 == 0, and every mint(name, minHicOut) reverts PoolNotInitialized forever (test_uninitializedHicPoolMakesMintRevert shows the revert).

Expected: pool.pairedCurrency is the IMD address and the key matches the Desk constants.

    • infoA holder who is their own agent can manufacture wins cheaply: tiny buys pay zero fee and each sell after a self-made price move counts as a full winsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:274

Trust-gap seam (access x economics x asymmetry): setAgent(id, holder) is allowed, the fee formula imdIn / 400 rounds to zero below 400 wei, and the record counts every sell as one win or loss regardless of size. The workflow's purpose statement ('nobody can fake it') is therefore only true for the raw history, not for the headline win rate the site ranks by.

The README acknowledges that tiny trades can bias the statistic, so this is a documented limitation rather than a defect in the permission model; recorded here so the judge can weigh the 'cannot fake' claim against the leaderboard design. A minimum trade size or volume-weighted ranking would narrow it but changes the agreed design.

      Holder H mints a card, setAgent(id, H), setRules(id, 1e18, 1e18), deposits 1 IMD.

      H calls buy(id, coin, 399, 1) ten times (fee = 399/400 = 0, cost 399 each).

H then buys coin on the pool with its own wallet to move the price up ~3% (cost: 1.25% pool fee on each leg of that outside trade, roughly 0.03% of pool reserve), then calls sell(id, coin, q_i, 1) ten times: each proceeds > 399 so wins += 10, trades += 20, win rate 100%.

Expected per the workflow: the on-chain record cannot be faked.

Actual: 10 closed wins for the price of two outside pool trades; the leaderboard threshold (10 closed trades) is met.

  5. Audit economicsAgent #192found 1 low, 4 info

The review is complete. The findings file is written and the working tree is otherwise untouched (git status shows nothing besides the ignored findings file).

Outcome: no critical, high or medium defects in the economics area. The Desk's value flows hold under every failure mode I checked from the Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap guides, including against the real vendored Uniswap v4 PoolManager.

    What was verified

    • Conservation. Desk IMD balance equals total card liability plus the burn reserve, and coin balances equal liability, through buys, sells, withdrawals, mints and burns. Credits are measured from balance deltas, exact-input fills are enforced, and short settlements revert.
    • Fee split and cost basis. The 0.25% fee is taken from the IMD side on both directions, half to owner and half accrued. Cost basis, proportional removal, win/loss and P&L match the brief.
    • Caps and timers. Per-trade and UTC-day limits cannot be bypassed or reset by rule changes. The burn interval resets only on a successful burn.
    • Custody. Only holders withdraw, only to themselves. Agents have no path to move value out except by trading on initialized IMD launch pools, bounded by the holder's caps.
    • Callback and reentrancy. The hook address carries only the beforeInitialize flag, so swaps never call the hook. The unlock callback is bound to the Desk's own unlock by hash. All state-changing entry points are guarded.
    • buyAndBurn MEV. I ran a full sandwich on the real pool with minOut of 1. The attacker lost about 1,212 IMD to divert about 1.3 IMD of burn, so the README's MEV concern is not an exploitable path at the 1.25% pool fee.

Findings written (1 low, 4 info)

    1. Low. Win rate and realized P&L are curatable: a holder withdraws losing coin positions unrealized and sells only winners. Reproduced on the real pool with a hidden 56% loss and a recorded 100% win rate. Documented in the README, but it contradicts the brief's "nobody can fake it" and the leaderboard sort key.
    2. Info. The trades counter includes buys, so the badge's TRADES disagrees with W plus L and the brief's example.
    3. Info. The Desk fee rounds to zero for IMD legs below 400 wei. Dust only.
    4. Info. mint has no caller-side price bound, so an owner price change racing a max-allowance mint charges up to 2 IMD. Trust assumption.
    5. Info. Token name casing differs between the brief's final "Token name" line and the contract.

Coverage. All 22 listed entry points have a row, plus three invariant and manifest rows. None are unreached. No launch.json exists in the tree yet, so the constructor check was against the deployment handoff in docs, which matches the Desk constructor and ordering.

    • lowOn-chain win rate and realized P&L are freely gameable by withdrawing losing positions unrealizedsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:188

The brief's core promise is that the card keeps the agent's record on chain 'so nobody can fake it', and the site leaderboard ranks cards by win rate. withdraw() for a coin removes the proportional cost basis without recording a trade or realizing P&L, while sell() records a win whenever net proceeds exceed costPart.

A holder therefore controls which outcomes enter the record: losing positions are withdrawn to the holder's wallet (no loss, no trade), winning positions are sold (win). Combined with the ability to move the pool price externally before a sell, any win rate and positive realized P&L can be manufactured at the cost of pool fees.

The README acknowledges 'selected withdrawals' bias the statistic, so this is a documented design limitation rather than an accounting bug; it is reported because it contradicts the brief's stated guarantee and the leaderboard sort key. No fix inside the approved design exists without a price source for withdrawn coins; at minimum the Traded/Withdrawn record should let the frontend flag cards with withdrawn coin positions.

      Real v4 pool, 1e6 full-range liquidity at price 1 for IMD/coin and IMD/HIC.

Card funded with 50,000 IMD, agent set, caps 50,000.

      (1) agent buy(id, coin, 1000e18, 1) -> ~986e18 coin, cost 1000e18.

      (2) Third party dumps 500,000 coin into the pool; the position is now worth ~440 IMD (a ~56% loss).

      (3) holder withdraw(id, coin, 986e18): balances and position go to zero, c.trades/c.losses/c.pnl unchanged.

      (4) agent buy(id, hic, 1000e18, 1); third party buys HIC with 500,000 IMD; agent sell(id, hic, h, 1).

Result (test/scratch/Econ.t.sol test_selectiveWithdrawalMakesWinRate100): trades=3, wins=1, losses=0, pnl=+1162.57 IMD, win rate 100%, while the holder actually lost ~560 IMD on the coin position.

Expected per brief: a record nobody can fake; actual: record shows only the chosen outcomes.

    • infotrades counter includes buys, so the badge's TRADES figure disagrees with W+L and the brief's examplesrc/HandlerDesk.sol:248

buy() increments c.trades (line 248) and sell() increments it again (line 276), so trades = buys + sells. The brief's example badge shows '16 W · 9 L' with a share text '64% win rate over 25 trades' and the leaderboard eligibility is 'at least 10 closed trades', all of which treat trades as closed (sell) trades.

HandlerArt prints c.trades under TRADES, so a card with 16 wins and 9 losses from 25 round trips renders 'TRADES 50' beside '16 W · 9 L'. docs/contracts.md and docs/agent-guide.md document the implemented meaning and tell the frontend to use wins+losses for eligibility, so this is a semantics/presentation inconsistency, not an accounting error.

      Mock fixture: card with agent and caps; agent buy(id, coin, 100e18, 1) then sell(id, coin, all, 1). getCard(id).trades == 2 while wins + losses == 1; tokenURI shows 'TRADES 2' and '0 W · 1 L'. Expected under the brief's example: TRADES equals W + L (1).

    • infoDesk fee rounds to zero for IMD legs below 400 weisrc/HandlerDesk.sol:242

fee = imdIn / 400 on buys and gross / 400 on sells, so any IMD leg under 400 wei pays no owner share and no burn accrual. The economic value is dust (under 4e-16 IMD per trade) and each such trade costs far more in gas and pool fee, so there is no profitable extraction; noted only as the one place the fee formula reaches zero. The same holds for the owner share when fee == 1 (ownerShare = 0, whole wei to burn).

Real v4 pool fixture: agent buy(id, coin, 399, 1) succeeds with tokenOut = 393 and burnImd stays 0 and the owner receives nothing (test/scratch/Econ.t.sol test_dustBuyPaysNoFee). Expected 0.25% fee; actual 0.

    • infomint() has no caller-side price bound; a price change racing a pending mint charges the new pricesrc/HandlerDesk.sol:159

mint reads mintPrice at execution and pulls that amount via transferFrom. A minter who approved more than the displayed price (the test fixtures and many wallets use an unlimited allowance) pays whatever the price is when the transaction lands, up to the 2 IMD cap, if setMintPrice executes first.

The owner is a trusted role and the range is bounded by the brief, so this is recorded as a trust assumption rather than a defect; the frontend mitigates it by approving exactly the quoted price, and the README already says to approve only the desired amount.

holder approves type(uint256).max to the Desk; owner setMintPrice(2e18); holder mint('Victim', 1). Holder's IMD drops by 2e18 instead of the 0.2e18 shown when the mint was prepared (test/scratch/Econ.t.sol test_mintPriceRace).

    • infoToken name casing differs between the brief's 'Token name' line and the contractsrc/LaunchToken.sol:8

The brief writes the project as 'Handlers In Control' in its header and 'Token name: Handlers in Control' (lowercase i) in its final token lines. The contract uses 'Handlers In Control'. The manifest's token.name must match whatever the deployed name() returns; the manifest contributor should copy the contract's string, and the requester may want to confirm the intended casing before launch.

LaunchToken.name() returns 'Handlers In Control'. A manifest written from the brief's 'Token name: Handlers in Control' line would not byte-match name().

  8. Audit judgeAgent #650found 1 low, 3 info

I found no defect that blocks the launch. I kept four findings: one low and three informational. Every one was reproduced in a scratch Foundry test that passed on the current code. They are written to .imd-findings.json along with a coverage row for each of the 22 entry points. I removed the scratch tests afterwards and changed no other file.

    Deployability: this holds.

    • HandlerDesk is 17,553 bytes of creation code and 12,400 deployed, well under the 49,152 and 24,576 limits.
    • No constructor calls a contract that already exists.
    • I ran the protected opcode scan on the deployed Art, Desk and Cards code (the Desk creates Cards itself). None contains DELEGATECALL, CALLCODE or SELFDESTRUCT.
    • launch.json uses only schema keys and pairs with IMD in lowercase at fee 12500 and tick spacing 60. HandlerDesk's arguments [$owner, $token, $contract:HandlerArt] match its constructor order.
    • The exported ABIs match the compiled ones, and the full suite passes (81 tests).

    Findings kept (duplicates merged):

    1. Low: anyone can trigger buyAndBurn with a minimum of 1 wei (src/HandlerDesk.sol:291). The caller can move the HIC/IMD pool price first and then trigger the burn, which swaps the whole reserve. Reproduced: a 0.5 IMD reserve burned for 500 wei of HIC and the reserve was reset to 0. Card balances are unaffected; the loss is burn value owed to HIC holders. Merges audit_flow #1 and audit_permissions #2.

    2. Info: mint has no maximum price (src/HandlerDesk.sol:159). A minter with a standing allowance pays whatever the price is when their transaction lands. Reproduced: an owner price change to 2 IMD mined first took 2 IMD instead of the quoted 0.2. The owner is trusted and the range is the one the brief specifies, so I treat this as a trust assumption for the frontend to handle by approving the exact price. Merges three specialist reports.

    3. Info: the win record can be inflated (src/HandlerDesk.sol:274). The code follows the brief's rule exactly, yet the brief's claim that "nobody can fake it" does not hold:

      • 50 tiny sells after one price rise recorded 50 wins and 0 losses.
      • Withdrawing a losing position records no loss.
      • Trades under 400 wei pay no fee.

Changing this would change the approved rules, so it is the requester's decision. Merges four specialist reports.

    4. Info: trades counts buys as well as sells (src/HandlerDesk.sol:248). The badge shows TRADES 2 next to one win or loss, while the brief's example counts only closed trades.

    Dropped:

    • Owner address in docs/deployment.md: the manifest correctly uses $owner, and I can't show the address is wrong.
    • Pool-key dependency: the manifest already matches what the Desk expects.
    • Token-name casing: the contract and the manifest agree on "Handlers In Control", which is the brief's main spelling.

    Static-analysis leads, all false positives:

    • Reentrancy: blocked by nonReentrant and the single-use callback check.
    • Divide-before-multiply in _date: that integer division is how the date algorithm is meant to work.
    • Strict equality: used on purpose to reject tokens that skim transfers.
    • abi.encodePacked collision: the packed bytes are never hashed.

The other 18 entry points hold. I also added two invariant rows, for deployability and launch.json.

    • lowbuyAndBurn accepts any caller-chosen minOut >= 1, so whoever triggers the burn can sandwich the whole accrued reservesrc/HandlerDesk.sol:291

Merged from audit_flow #1 and audit_permissions #2 (same root cause). buyAndBurn is permissionless (as the brief requires) and swaps the entire burnImd reserve in one call; the only slippage bound is the caller's own minOut, checked in _swap as if (minOut == 0) revert Slippage(); and if (received < minOut) revert Slippage();.

The caller can therefore move the HIC/IMD pool price in the same transaction/bundle, call buyAndBurn(1), and back-run, capturing most of the reserve minus pool fees. Card balances are not affected (burnImd is segregated from totalLiability); the loss is the burn value owed to HIC holders. Profitability needs the reserve to be large relative to the 1.25% pool fee on both sandwich legs, i.e. after a long period without burns.

README/docs/security.md document the MEV exposure. Fix within the brief's signature: cap the IMD burned per call (e.g. a fraction of the reserve or of pool liquidity) so one sandwich cannot take the whole reserve.

      DeskFixture (mock PoolManager).

Card funded with 1000 IMD, agent set, caps 1e6 IMD. agent buy(id, coin, 400 ether, 1): fee = 1 ether, owner gets 0.5 ether, burnImd = 0.5 ether.

      Simulate the front-run price move with manager.setRate(address(imd), address(hic), 1000). stranger calls buyAndBurn(1).

Expected: the burn is refused unless it receives roughly the fair-price HIC for 0.5 IMD.

Actual: call succeeds, returns 500, 500 wei of HIC reach 0xdEaD and burnImd() == 0 (verified: test_burnAcceptsOneWei passes on the current code).

    • infomint() charges the live mintPrice with no caller-side ceiling; a setMintPrice mined first charges up to 2 IMDsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:159

Merged from audit_flow #2, audit_permissions #1 and audit_economics #4 (same root cause). mint(name, minHicOut) bounds the HIC leg but reads mintPrice at execution and pulls it via _pullImd(msg.sender, price); half goes to owner(). A minter with a standing allowance above the quoted price pays whatever price is current when the transaction lands, up to MAX_MINT_PRICE = 2 IMD (10x the 0.2 IMD launch price).

The owner is a trusted role, the range is bounded exactly as the brief specifies and the brief fixes the mint signature, so this is a trust assumption, not a permission bypass: recorded so the frontend stage approves exactly mintPrice() before mint (as README advises). Adding a maxPrice argument would change the approved ABI and is the requester's decision.

DeskFixture: holder has approved type(uint256).max IMD, mintPrice = 0.2 ether. owner calls setMintPrice(2 ether); holder then calls mint("Agent", 1).

Expected from the holder's quote: pay 0.2 IMD or revert.

Actual: holder's IMD drops by exactly 2 ether and owner receives 1 ether (verified: test_mintPriceRace passes on the current code).

    • infoWin count/win rate can be steered by the holder/agent: dust partial sells each count as a win, withdrawn losing positions record nothing, sub-400-wei legs pay no feesrc/HandlerDesk.sol:274

Merged from audit_math #1, audit_permissions #5, audit_economics #1 and audit_economics #3 (one root cause: the record counts events per partial sell and ignores withdrawn basis).

The implementation follows the brief's rule exactly (costPart = cost x q / quantity; proceeds > costPart is a win; withdraw of any balance is allowed), and the arithmetic is sound: I checked that basis is conserved across partial sells and withdrawals and floor rounding of costPart cannot flip the comparison.

But the brief's claim that the record cannot be faked and the leaderboard's win-rate sort do not hold: after any favourable price move an agent can split a sell into many dust sells, each a win, and a holder can withdraw a losing coin position, which removes its basis with no trade or loss recorded. Fees are imdIn/400 and gross/400, so legs under 400 wei pay no Desk fee. README documents the bias.

Any fix (minimum sell size, value-weighted rate, stats on position close) changes the approved rules and is a requester decision; the frontend should at least treat win rate as a per-sell statistic.

DeskFixture: card with 1000 IMD, agent, caps. agent buy(id, coin, 100 ether, 1) -> out.

Price rise simulated by manager.setRate(coin, imd, 1.1 ether). agent calls sell(id, coin, 1e12, 1) 50 times: getCard(id).wins == 50, losses == 0, coin balance == out - 50e12 (position essentially intact). holder withdraw(id, coin, remaining): trades and losses unchanged. agent buy(id, coin, 399, 1): burnImd and owner IMD unchanged (fee 0).

Expected per the brief's 'nobody can fake it': a record the card's own controllers cannot inflate.

Actual: 100% win rate over 50 wins from one price move (verified: test_dustSellsInflateWins and test_tradesCountsBuys_and_dustFee pass).

    • infoCard.trades counts buys and sells, so the badge's TRADES differs from W+L used by the brief's example and leaderboardsrc/HandlerDesk.sol:248

From audit_economics #2. buy() increments c.trades (line 248) and sell() increments it again (line 276), so trades = buys + sells. HandlerArt prints c.trades under TRADES next to 'W · L'.

The brief's example ('16 W · 9 L', '64% win rate over 25 trades', leaderboard 'at least 10 closed trades') treats trades as closed sells. docs/contracts.md and docs/agent-guide.md document the implemented meaning and tell the frontend to use wins+losses for eligibility, so this is a presentation inconsistency, not an accounting error.

      DeskFixture: agent buy(id, coin, 100 ether, 1) then sell(id, coin, out, 1). getCard(id).trades == 2 while wins + losses == 1; tokenURI shows TRADES 2 beside '0 W · 1 L' (or 1 W · 0 L). Expected under the brief's example: TRADES equal to W + L = 1 (verified in test_tradesCountsBuys_and_dustFee).

    • Bug: Wallet consent incorrectly says no account is shared.
    • Bug: Automatic refresh removes balance rows and moves the focused deposit input offscreen.
    • Fidelity: Mint confirmation omits the requested print animation; it runs later, roughly 2,700px below the mobile viewport.
    • Accessibility: Empty amount-field boundaries measure 1.79:1, below the applicable 3:1 non-text contrast requirement.

Each finding contains an exact source citation, replacement or repair, and measured reproduction.

The isolated rebuild matches the submitted export byte-for-byte. Deployment configuration, pinned ABIs and all 21 asset hashes pass verification. Core tests passed 11/11, WebKit interactions 9/9, observability 7/7, and keyboard checks passed. Chromium interactions passed 9/9 after correcting a temporary test-harness timing race. Live chain verification and quote simulation succeeded; transactions used simulated wallets.

The visual idea is a trading-permission desk expressed through printed, off-white agent badges hanging from black lanyards.

Coverage below consolidates the duplicated workflow text. Contract entries describe the preserved implementation, rather than a new Solidity audit.

    • mediumbug: wallet connection falsely says no account is sharedweb/src/components.tsx:450

Now: The connection dialog says “No account or private key is shared with this site,” but connecting explicitly requests and stores the selected account address.

Change to: Replace that sentence with “Your wallet shares its public address. Your private key stays in your wallet.”

Why: The consent copy must accurately describe what connecting reveals; the address is used to read balances and identify the holder.

At 390×844, load #/ and click “Connect wallet ↗”. The dialog visibly states “No account or private key is shared with this site.” Connect a browser wallet (reproduced with the existing EIP-1193 fixture returning 0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111), then reopen the wallet dialog: it displays that full account address. web/src/context.tsx connect() calls eth_requestAccounts and setAccount(accounts[0]); expected copy discloses the public address, actual copy denies sharing any account.

    • mediumfidelity: the promised mint print animation never appears in the confirmationweb/src/Home.tsx:47

Now: Successful minting replaces the form with a text checklist and leaves only the unrelated Example badge. The new card animates only after “Set up my card” is clicked, below all management controls on mobile. Its animation is a whole-card fade/40px slide rather than a card emerging from a slot.

Change to: Reuse the existing Badge and print animation in the mint-success state, reveal the receipt-derived new card through the slot while it is visible, and retain the setup checklist directly below it. Honor reduced motion.

Why: The brief explicitly requests “a new card prints out of a slot after mint”; a completed animation thousands of pixels below the viewport does not deliver that confirmation.

At 390×844 in Chromium with prefers-reduced-motion: no-preference, use the existing mocked wallet/RPC fixture, connect the holder, enter “Print test”, get a mint quote, approve 0.2 IMD and mint.

On “Your card is issued.” there are 0 real badge elements and document.getAnimations() is empty.

Click “Set up my card”: .printed .badge begins its 700ms animation at y≈2713 with scrollY=0 and viewport height=844; after 900ms its top is y≈2752 and animation.playState is finished.

Expected: the newly minted card visibly prints during confirmation.

Actual: no success animation is visible and the later offscreen animation only changes opacity and translateY(-40px→0).

    • mediumbug: automatic balance refresh moves the active form offscreenweb/src/Cards.tsx:223

Now: Every successful 30-second refresh clears the loaded coins and replaces the balance table with a short loading message. This collapses the page, closes expanded token details, briefly changes a configured card to “Setup needed”, and shifts the form being edited.

Change to: Keep the last successful coin rows and their expanded state mounted during background refresh; show a small refreshing status without changing the table height, and replace the values only after a successful response. Clear balances only when the selected card or connected holder changes.

Why: Background reads must not move unrelated controls or turn known loaded state back into an empty state while the holder is using the form.

At 390×844 in Chromium, use the existing fixture holder with card 1 holding 100 IMD and 5 HIC.

Connect, open My cards, expand the IMD “Token details”, enter 1 in Deposit amount, scroll the input into view and keep it focused.

Delay the next cardCoins RPC response by 1,500ms to observe the refresh; wait for the automatic 30-second poll (no click or scroll during the poll).

Before refresh there are 2 .balance-row elements and 1 open details element, with the focused deposit input at y=397.58.

During refresh there are 0 rows and the input moves to y=-69.42; after the response both rows return but details remain closed and the focused input remains offscreen at y=-69.42.

Expected: the active input stays visible and expanded data stays open while values refresh.

The same collapse occurs with Refresh live state.

    • mediumaccessibility: blank amount inputs have insufficient boundary contrastweb/src/style.css:400

Now: The shared input style uses #B7B7AB borders on #F2F1EC paper with a #FAF9F5 fill. Empty amount fields have neither a placeholder nor another internal cue identifying the editable region. Their boundary contrast is only 1.79:1.

Change to: Use the existing --muted token (#575750) for enabled input borders, retaining --line for decorative separators and disabled controls. This yields 6.44:1 against the page background.

Why: WCAG 2.2 SC 1.4.11 requires at least 3:1 for visual information needed to identify a control; an empty text field needs a distinguishable boundary. The homepage taste probe measures text contrast and does not detect this.

At 390×844, open #/trade with the pointer away from the form and leave “You pay (IMD)” empty and unfocused.

Its computed border is rgb(183,183,171), fill rgb(250,249,245), and surrounding background rgb(242,241,236); it is enabled, with empty value and placeholder.

WCAG relative-luminance calculation gives border/page=1.7898:1 and fill/page=1.0735:1, both below 3:1.

The same computed colors and empty state occur in #/cards → “Deposit amount (IMD)” after connecting the fixture holder; withdrawal and agent amount fields reuse the same rule.

Expected a >=3:1 boundary for these empty controls.
