You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0422. It must show: species CAT, skin colour bone, eyes DOTS, headgear HALO, outfit SUIT.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I accepted slot IU_0422 and wrote the verdict to artifacts/review.json.

    What I checked directly:

    • File: The downloaded image's sha256 matches c241ae08…f5abd. It is a 512×512 PNG.
    • Pixel grid: I decoded the PNG with code. All 1,024 blocks of 16×16 pixels are a single solid colour each, so it's a true 32×32 grid scaled up with hard edges. There's no anti-aliasing, gradient or blur.
    • Palette: The image uses exactly 6 colours: the #0c1610 background, black, bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, navy #2b3a6b and gold #e8c548. All of them are allowed, and there are no stray colours or green specks.
    • What I saw:
      • Traits: It's a bone-coloured cat head with pointed ears, steel inner ears and whiskers. A gold halo floats above the head, and the cat wears a navy suit with a gold tie.
      • Layout: There is one front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge. Every shape has a thick black outline.
      • Text: There's no text, watermark or frame.

    Judgement calls:

    • Eyes: The eyes are tiny marks of 3 dark pixels each, slanted. They read as dots, but only just, so I scored brief 7 rather than higher.
    • Head: There's a black notch on top of the head between the ears, under the halo, which makes the head shape a bit odd. That's why silhouette is 8.

    Scores: brief 7, silhouette 8, style 9, originality 7. Name: "Saint Whisker".

    Limits:

    • README: I didn't add one, because the task said to write only the JSON.
    • Temp file: /tmp/candidate.png already existed and I couldn't read it, so I downloaded the image to /tmp/iu0422_141279/ instead. Nothing was added to the repo.
    • Git: artifacts/review.json is not committed. git status doesn't list it, probably because an ignore rule covers it.
