Include README with setup/build/test commands, architecture and exact API-to-game mapping, scoring/seed formulas, known limits, and a two-minute reviewer walkthrough. Add meaningful deterministic engine/adapter tests for solvability, repeat samples, epoch/reset/stale behavior and archive reproducibility. Run the production build and tests.

Browser-check desktop and mobile, keyboard/touch flows, a complete win/loss/restart, idle live input, unavailable API, honest demo labels, overlay and PNG export; record actual results and any unavailable checks in README. Independently review against this brief and fix critical gameplay/usability errors before delivery. Return job URL, live site URL, public source/commit and validation evidence.

Prefer a complete reliable core game over optional extra screens. All required functionality must work; no TODOs, fabricated passing test results, or fake data presented as live.

needs input: The supplied implementation task appears truncated: it begins with 'production site through IMD IPFS hosting.' Neither the task nor the available inputs identify the intended game, its gameplay rules, or the live API and data contract needed for the required API-to-game mapping, epoch/reset/stale behavior, and archive reproducibility. — Can you provide the missing beginning of the implementation brief, including the intended game and its rules, the live API endpoints and response schema, and any required mapping, epoch/reset, or archive semantics?

  3. Design criticAgent #189found 1 high, 3 medium, 1 low

I found 5 problems in Blocklight. One is high: the README sends readers to validation evidence that isn't in the repository. The game itself works: the tests pass and a full win, loss and replay plays cleanly at 390 wide in Chromium. WebKit would not launch on this machine, so Safari behaviour is unchecked. The findings are in .imd-findings.json, and no tracked file was changed.

The idea: Blocklight is a 5×5 Lights Out game seeded from an Ethereum block, built around one image: a dark board of lime lights. It has no extra effects (no gradient, glow or badges).

    Findings

    1. High – fidelity: README.md:31, 170, 188 and 194 link to five artifacts/ files, none of which exist. These are the validation results, browser results, export checks, size limits and the design-guidance license notice. Commit the files, or put the results table into the README itself.
    2. Medium – bug: after a win or loss, the result dialog still says "Round started. Turn every light off." (src/App.tsx:196). It should be cleared when the round ends.
    3. Medium – bug: once a round starts, the big lime button in the same spot becomes "Show a hint −100 pts". At 390, tapping that spot twice dropped the score from 100

    • highfidelity: README points its validation evidence and license notice at artifacts/ files that are not in the treeREADME.md:170

Now: README's 'Validation and evidence' section says the actual commands, results, screenshots and limits are recorded in artifacts/validation.md, artifacts/browser-results.json and artifacts/export-integrity.json; lines 188 and 194 also cite artifacts/path-budget.json and artifacts/licenses/Design-guidance-LICENSE.txt. No artifacts/ directory exists in the repository, so every one of those links 404s and the MIT/Apache-2.0 notice that README says is 'included' is missing.

Change to: commit the artifacts/ files that npm run test:browser and node scripts/check-export.mjs produce (validation.md, browser-results.json, export-integrity.json, path-budget.json, licenses/Design-guidance-LICENSE.txt). If they cannot ship, delete the links and put the per-check results (each browser group, pass/fail, and the unavailable checks) as a table directly in README.

Why: the brief asks to 'record actual results and any unavailable checks in README' and to return 'validation evidence'. Right now the only evidence is a summary paragraph whose sources cannot be opened.

      Any width.

Steps: git ls-files | grep artifacts prints nothing, and ls artifacts gives 'No such file or directory'.

      README.md:31, 170, 188 and 194 link to artifacts/validation.md, artifacts/browser-results.json, artifacts/export-integrity.json, artifacts/path-budget.json and artifacts/licenses/Design-guidance-LICENSE.txt.

      Expected: the linked files exist.

      Actual: none of them exist.

    • mediumbug: the win/loss result dialog shows the stale status 'Round started. Turn every light off.'src/App.tsx:196

Now: the result dialog renders the shared notice state in its modal-notice line. That state still holds whatever start() or the last undo set, so the 'Lights out. Well played.' dialog ends with 'Round started.

Turn every light off.', which contradicts the win.

Change to: clear the notice when the round ends. In the effect at App.tsx:63-65 that opens the result dialog, call setNotice('') next to setDialog('result'), so the line stays empty until a PNG export writes 'PNG created. Check your browser downloads.'

Why: every state should say only what the app knows, and a finished round is not 'started'.

Width 390, Chromium, dist served over HTTP with the RPC blocked.

      Steps: open /#p=1.d.1, tap Play puzzle, tap A2 A3 A5 B1 C1 C2 C3 D3 D4 D5.

Measured: the dialog innerText is 'Lights out.

Well played. … Play again / Save PNG / See puzzle source / Round started.

      Turn every light off.'

Expected: no 'Round started' line inside a win dialog.

A loss after 18 presses of A1 shows the same stale line.

    • mediumbug: during play the large primary button is 'Show a hint', which takes 100 points in one tap with no confirmationsrc/App.tsx:141

Now: after Play puzzle, the same full-width lime primary button at y=328 (just above the board at 390) becomes 'Show a hint −100 pts'. A visitor who taps again where 'Play puzzle' was, or who reaches for the brightest control, loses 100 of 1,000 points and cannot undo it. Restart is the only way back.

Change to: render the hint with the board tools' existing quiet style (className="button button-quiet main-action" instead of button-primary) and keep the '−100 pts' label.

Why: the primary style marks the action a player is meant to take, and here it is a penalty. The brief asks to 'fix critical gameplay/usability errors', and an accidental 10% score loss on a double tap is one.

      Width 390, Chromium, touch.

Steps: open /#p=1.d.1 and tap Play puzzle at y≈328.

Measured: .main-action keeps y=328.4 and now reads 'Show a hint −100 pts'.

Tap it once more: Potential drops 1000 → 900 and the hint is charged on the attempt.

Expected: a second tap at the same spot does not cost points, or the penalty control does not use the primary style.

    • mediumbug: board tiles are disabled until Play puzzle is pressed, and tapping them gives no feedbacksrc/components/Board.tsx:37

Now: every tile has disabled={!active}, so in the ready state (the first screen) a tap or click on the board does nothing. It shows no message and no focus change, and the board looks exactly as it does in play. At 390 the grid fills most of the first screen and is the obvious thing to touch.

Change to: keep the tiles enabled in the 'ready' phase and make the first press start the round. In App.tsx onPress, use cell => { if (round.phase === 'ready') start(); game({ type: 'press', cell }); }, and keep the reducer rejecting presses only for won/lost.

Why: the brief asks for working 'keyboard/touch flows' and to fix 'critical gameplay/usability errors'. A board that ignores the visitor's first touch reads as broken.

      Width 390, Chromium mobile emulation.

Steps: open /#p=1.d.1 and tap tile A1 (grid top y=476) before pressing Play puzzle.

      Measured: .tile isDisabled() === true.

The Moves counter stays 0/18, the board is unchanged and no notice appears.

Expected: the tap starts the round and flips A1 and its neighbours.

    • lowtaste: three extra voice lines compete with the hero ('No wallet. Just logic.', 'A small puzzle from a big network.', 'Make a little darkness.')src/App.tsx:160

Now: the hero pair 'Every block. Lights out.' / 'A logic puzzle born from an Ethereum block.' is good. Around it sit more slogans: the header's wallet-note 'No wallet.

Just logic.' (App.tsx:131, desktop), the footer 'A small puzzle from a big network.' (App.tsx:160) and the help dialog title 'Make a little darkness.'

      (App.tsx:162).

Change to: delete the footer span so 'See puzzle source' and 'Blocklight · v1' sit at the ends of the footer row. Delete the header wallet-note span so 'How to play' stands alone at the right edge. Retitle the help dialog 'How to play'.

Why: a page carries one hero line, and utilities, footers and help headings name the task in plain words.

      Width 1440.

Steps: open the site and read the header, the footer and the How to play dialog.

Evidence: the header right shows 'No wallet.

Just logic.' beside How to play, the footer opens with 'A small puzzle from a big network.', and the help dialog's h2 is 'Make a little darkness.'

That is three slogans beside the hero headline.

  4. Build websiteAgent #62516 files changed

I fixed all five review findings, rebuilt dist/, and re-ran the full check suite. All executed checks passed; WebKit could not run. Nothing is committed: changes are left in the working tree for the network to bundle, as in the previous round.

The README evidence links (high): the accepted tree had no artifacts/ directory, so every evidence and license link in the README was broken. The README no longer points there:

    • Evidence in the README: the Validation section now has a table of commands and results, a table of the 8 browser test groups, and a list of the checks that did not run. It also has a short design-review table with file:line fixes.
    • License notice: now committed at LICENSES/Design-guidance-LICENSE.txt.
    • Size budget: moved to scripts/path-budget.json, which scripts/check-export.mjs now reads.
    • Script output: the validation scripts write their reports to test/scratch/validation/, which is not committed.

The four advisory findings (all real, all fixed):

    • Stale line in the win/loss dialog: "Round started…" no longer appears there (src/App.tsx:64).
    • Hint button: it's now the bordered secondary style instead of the lime primary style, and keeps the "−100 pts" label (src/App.tsx:145). I chose this over the borderless style the reviewer suggested because a full-width borderless button reads as plain text.
    • Board before Play puzzle: tapping a tile now starts the round and counts as move 1 (src/components/Board.tsx:11, src/App.tsx:90). Tiles are disabled only after a win or loss.
    • Extra slogans: I removed the header and footer lines and their CSS, and the help dialog is now titled "How to play".

Check results (2026-11-03, after the last source change):

    CheckResult
    Typecheck and production buildPassed
    Unit tests39/39 passed
Export integrityPassed: 9 runtime files, relative asset URLs, 691,795 of 8,388,608 bytes
    npm audit0 vulnerabilities
    Browser tests (Chromium)8/8 groups passed
Design probe at 320/390/144016/16 checks passed
    • Browser tests: they now also check that a tile tap starts the round, that no stale line shows in either dialog, and that the hint button isn't lime. A separate run of the reviewer's exact steps on demo 1 at 390 wide matched.
    • Live API check: a real Ethereum block was received. On this machine the request went through the contributor's RPC; the shipped site only calls PublicNode.
    • First screen at 390 wide: I looked at the screenshot. The product, Play puzzle and the top of the board are all visible.

Not checked: WebKit wouldn't launch because system libraries are missing and I can't install them here, so Safari behaviour is unverified in this round. A physical phone, a screen reader and browser zoom were also not tested. All of this is stated in the README.

Not filled in: the job URL, live site URL, public source link and commit only exist once the network publishes, so I left them blank rather than inventing them.

My answers to each finding are in .imd-responses.json; all five are marked fixed.

Blocklight is an Ethereum-seeded Lights Out game carried by one visual idea: lime lights against a dark green board.

    The original reproductions now show:

    • README evidence: no remaining artifacts/ references; all local documentation links resolve. License and budget files exist.
    • Stale result notice: at 390, both the documented win sequence and 18 A1 presses produce result dialogs without “Round started.”
    • Hint styling: the control uses button-outline, retains “−100 pts,” and no longer uses the primary style.
    • First tile press: A1 is enabled before starting. Tapping changes moves 0 → 1 and board 29810256 → 29810291.
    • Extra slogans: the three reported lines are removed; the help heading is “How to play.”
