Project goal: A funny, chaotic endless-runner game featuring a customizable hamster (Squeektoshi style). Players dress up their hamster with absurd, meme-y, and slightly 恶趣味 accessories, then run on the wheel collecting points while dodging obstacles. Real Squeekchain data from Sepolia influences the game. High scores must be submitted and displayed via an on-chain leaderboard.

Core Requirements:

  • Read real data from SqueekCore on Sepolia: 0x74665dAecA35A2303e767E76a2FF1FB6F93e119f Or use https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/core (and related endpoints) for blockHeight, progress, settled work, etc.
  • Display current Squeek block height, round progress, and a live “hamster spinning” indicator.
  • Fully playable in browser (no login needed to play). Mobile-friendly if possible.
  • Clean, cute-but-chaotic visual style. Use simple Canvas, SVG, or CSS animations.
  • Include a clear README explaining the game, how it uses real Squeekchain data, customization, the on-chain leaderboard, and that this is a community project for the Squeekchain / Buildooooor badge.

Gameplay:

  • Endless scrolling wheel/path.
  • Player controls: left/right move or jump (keyboard + click/tap).
  • Collectibles (seeds, SQK coins, random funny items) that give points.
  • Obstacles that end the run or knock the hamster off.
  • Score multiplier or temporary boost when a real new Squeek block is completed.
  • Funny hit effects and visual feedback.
  • After a run ends, player can submit their score on-chain with a short nickname.

Customization (must have, make it funny and 恶趣味):

Before starting a run, player can equip the hamster with:

  • Headwear (choose one): Sunglasses (墨镜), Pressure cooker (高压锅) on head, Traffic cone, Banana peel hat, Dunce cap, Tiny crown, VR headset
  • Handheld item (choose one): Sword, Toy gun / water gun, Toilet brush (厕所刷), Toilet plunger (吸马桶的), Giant spoon, Rubber chicken, Selfie stick, Lightsaber (simple visual)
  • Optional extra (choose one): Mustache, Cape, Tiny rocket backpack, Googly eyes overlay

The equipped items must be visibly rendered on the hamster during the run. Different combinations can give tiny funny score bonuses or visual effects.

On-chain Leaderboard (mandatory):

  • Deploy a simple smart contract on Sepolia testnet that stores high scores.
  • Players connect wallet and submit score + nickname after a run.
  • Contract should store at least the top scores (e.g. top 50 or top 100) with nickname, score, and player address.
  • Frontend must display a public leaderboard that reads directly from the contract (anyone can view it without connecting a wallet).
  • Use Foundry for the contract, include basic tests, and deploy it on Sepolia.
  • Provide the deployed contract address in the README and frontend.

Tech & Delivery:

  • Frontend: static single-page site (HTML + CSS + JS + Canvas) or simple React/Next.js. Wallet connection for score submission only.
  • Contract: Foundry + Solidity on Sepolia.
  • Provide the live site link and deployed contract address after build.
  • Keep it an MVP: fun, playable, and clearly tied to Squeekchain data. Not a full commercial game.

Make the whole thing silly, chaotic, and shareable. The more absurd the hamster looks, the better.

    Saved verified findings to [.imd-findings.json][report]:

    • High — bug: valid leaderboard entries overflow the phone layout. With populated contract responses, 1,000,000,000 extends beyond both 320px and 390px screens. Chromium and WebKit reproduce it. Increasing the score column and wrapping nicknames fixes the overflow in a browser preview.
    • Medium — bug: dismissing results strands the completed run. Closing the results dialog removes access to that run’s sharing and submission controls. The ended game needs a way to reopen results.

Both browser engines completed customization, play, pause, collision, sharing, and replay. The 10 existing game/data tests passed. Application files remain unchanged.

The visual idea is a hamster wearing wildly inappropriate equipment inside a calm, hand-drawn exercise room.

    • highbug: valid leaderboard entries overflow the phone layoutsrc/styles.css:788

Now: The fixed-layout leaderboard reserves only 90px for a score including 20px of cell padding. The contract accepts 1,000,000,000, whose formatted text overflows that column; unbroken valid nicknames also extend beyond the name column. The largest score runs off the phone viewport.

Change to: Increase the score column to 128px and apply overflow-wrap: anywhere to the nickname in the second cell. Preserve the complete score, nickname, and address; allow the row height to grow.

Why: The mandatory public leaderboard must display valid contract entries, and the mobile layout must not scroll horizontally or hide critical score text.

Chromium and WebKit, 320×844 and 390×844.

Since the production board is openly undeployed, use an isolated browser response fixture: return chainId 11155111 and a nonzero leaderboardAddress from config.json; mock Sepolia eth_chainId, nonempty eth_getCode, version()=1, MAX_ENTRIES()=50, and getLeaderboard() with an entry (player=0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000001, score=1000000000, nickname=SirSqueeksalotTheGreates).

No wallet or signature is needed.

Load the page and scroll to the leaderboard.

Expected: all three values fit within the page.

Actual in Chromium at 320: table width 288px; score cell clientWidth 90px, scrollWidth 114px; nickname cell clientWidth 148px, scrollWidth 191px; document scrollWidth 328px versus clientWidth 320px.

At 390 document scrollWidth is 398px versus 390px.

WebKit repeats it at 327/320 and 397/390.

The screenshot shows the final digits of 1,000,000,000 outside the viewport.

The nickname is 24 allowed ASCII characters, and the score equals the contract MAX_SCORE, so both inputs are valid.

The entry-page taste@1 layout pass does not cover this populated state.

Applying only the proposed CSS in browser memory changes document scrollWidth/clientWidth to 320/320 and 390/390, with the score cell scrollWidth/clientWidth both 128px; no repository source was edited.

    • mediumbug: dismissing results strands the completed runsrc/App.tsx:371

Now: Close, Escape, or a backdrop click hides the results dialog; the ended game only offers Run again, so its score-sharing and submission form cannot be reached again. The stored device-best number does not restore that run.

Change to: Keep the completed result available from the ended game with a View results control that sets resultOpen to true, preserving the score and nickname until the player starts another run.

Why: The brief requires score submission after a run and a shareable game. Dismissing a dialog to inspect the leaderboard or recover a failed public read must not discard access to the run.

Chromium and WebKit, 390×844: start a run, collect snacks, and collide with an obstacle.

In the verified run the result was 52 points, 74 meters, and 4 snacks.

Click Close in Wheel, that happened.

Expected: a way to reopen that same result and its Share score / nickname controls.

Actual: zero dialogs, zero Share score buttons, zero nickname inputs; the ended board has only Run again.

Beat your best only scrolls to the game.

The result is still held in App state but no visitor action sets resultOpen true again until a new run ends.

Sepolia deployment is not needed to reproduce the lost sharing controls.

  4. Build websiteAgent #112215 files changed

I reproduced both of the reviewer's findings and fixed them. The diff is small and the rest of the accepted work is unchanged.

    1. [high] Leaderboard rows overflowed on phones (25117e56…): fixed.

    • Reproduced: I deployed the real contract to a local test chain (Anvil) and added an entry with the maximum score of 1,000,000,000 and the 24-character nickname SirSqueeksalotTheGreates. At 320 wide the page was 328px wide, the score cell needed 114px but had 90px, and the name cell needed 191px but had 148px. These match the reviewer's numbers.
    • Fix in src/styles.css: the score column is now 128px wide (was 90px) and nicknames can wrap at any character. The score, nickname and address all stay fully visible; the row just gets taller.
    • Regression check: I added a check to tests/chain-ui.mjs that submits that entry and confirms nothing overflows at 320 and 390 wide. It fails on the old CSS (328 vs 320) and passes now. A screenshot at 320 shows 1,000,000,000 fully inside the table.

    2. [medium] Closing the results dialog lost the finished run (63639112…): fixed.

    • Reproduced: after Close, the ended game only offered Run again, so there was no way back to the score, Share score or the nickname field.
    • Fix: the ended game now shows a View results button under Run again (GameBoard.tsx, connected in App.tsx). It reopens the same dialog with the score and the typed nickname intact until the next run.
    • Regression check: tests/chain-ui.mjs now closes the results, clicks View results, and confirms the dialog, Share score and the nickname are back. I also checked by hand that there's no sideways scrolling at 320 or 390.

Checks, run after the last change:

    • Typecheck and production build succeed; dist/ is rebuilt and still uses relative asset paths.
    • Unit tests 10/10, contract tests 11/11, browser tests 17/17 in Chromium.
    • Local-chain wallet and leaderboard tests 12/12, including the two new checks.
    • The design review's probe passed all 16 checks.
    • I did not rerun the WebKit browser tests this time.

Docs and answers: I added these results to the README and updated DESIGN.md for the new column widths and the View results button. The answers to both findings are in .imd-responses.json.

Still open (both existed before this revision and I didn't fix them):

    • No Sepolia deployment. The leaderboard contract still isn't on Sepolia, because no funded deployer was provided. The site says honestly that the board isn't live yet, and the README explains how the owner deploys it and adds the address. I didn't stop the job over this, since neither finding depended on it.
    • Missing validation file. The README and DESIGN.md link to artifacts/validation.md, but that file isn't in the current files.

To run the local-chain tests I generated the compiled contract file in contracts/artifacts/, which isn't in the repo, and deleted it afterwards. I didn't commit anything.

Both findings from last round are fixed. .imd-findings.json is {"findings":[]} and I changed no repository files. I only re-checked the two findings. The other rows below come from the last round, which this round didn't redo.

[high] Long leaderboard entries pushed the page wider than the phone screen (src/styles.css:788): fixed.

    • The change: the score column (th:last-child) is now width: 128px at line 791, and the nickname (td:nth-child(2) strong) has overflow-wrap: anywhere at line 805. The rebuilt dist/ includes both.
    • How I checked: I ran the same setup as before, outside the repository: fake replies standing in for a deployed contract, returning one entry with score=1000000000 and nickname=SirSqueeksalotTheGreates.
    • Chromium at 320: the page is 320 wide in a 320 screen (last round: 328). The score cell is 128/128 (content width / box width) and the name cell 110/110.
    • Chromium at 390: the page is 390/390, the score cell 128/128 and the name cell 180/180.
    • On screen: the screenshot shows "1,000,000,000" whole. The nickname and the player address wrap inside their cell and the row grows taller. Nothing is clipped.
    • WebKit: not re-run. The installed Playwright couldn't launch it because this machine is missing system libraries. The fix only uses CSS that Safari supports (fixed table layout and overflow-wrap: anywhere), so I don't expect a difference there, but I haven't measured it.

[medium] Closing the results left no way back to the finished run (src/App.tsx:371): fixed.

    • The change: the game-over screen now shows a secondary "View results" button (src/components/GameBoard.tsx:235). It calls onViewResult, which src/App.tsx:171 wires to setResultOpen(true).
    • How I checked: in Chromium at 320 and at 390 I played a real run until the hamster crashed (24 points at 320, 132 at 390). I typed "Reviewer Hamster" as the nickname, pressed Escape and saw no dialog left. I then clicked "View results". The same dialog came back with "Share score" and the nickname I had typed still in the field. The page stayed 320/320 and 390/390 wide, with no sideways scroll.

Nothing new to report. Re-checking these two flows turned up no other defects I could reproduce.
