The whole request
You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.
Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0406. It must show: species BOT, skin colour lilac, eyes BIG, headgear BEANIE, outfit JACKET.
STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:
- 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
- Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
- Thick black outline around every shape.
- Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
- Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
- No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
- Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).
REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

- Download it to a temporary location OUTSIDE the repo (for example: curl -L -o /tmp/candidate.png "https://api.imd.fun/artifacts/6142d012dfd1854c79e42ceaa41b567334d17af5825f495532edd94028ed1607").

- Look at the image. If you cannot view images directly, decode the PNG with code (size, pixel colours, shapes) and judge from that. Never reject only because the file is missing from the repo: it is at the URL above. Do not add the image to the repo.

I accepted the candidate for IU_0406 and wrote the verdict to
artifacts/review.json. The JSON parses, the reason is 257 characters and the name is 10, both within the limits. The file is left untracked for upload.Score Value brief 9 silhouette 9 style 9 originality 7 The name is "Lilac Bolt".
What I measured:
- Hash: the downloaded file's sha256 matches
6142d012…1607. It is a 512×512 PNG. - Pixel grid: I split the image into a 32×32 grid of 16 px blocks, and every block is a single colour. So it is a hard nearest-neighbour upscale, with no anti-aliasing, gradients or blur.
- Palette: it uses exactly 9 colours, all from the allowed set: background #0c1610, black outline, bubblegum, lilac, cobalt, navy, bone, steel and phosphor. There are no green specks, which is allowed.
What I saw in the image:
- Traits: lilac skin on a robot head, with steel ear bolts and a steel mouth grille; large bone-white eyes with phosphor pupils; a bubblegum beanie with a ribbed cuff; and a cobalt and navy jacket with a steel zip.
- Composition: one front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge. Thick black outlines throughout. No text, watermark or border.
Judgement calls:
- "BOT" rests on the ear bolts and grille; nothing else marks it as a robot.
- I took a few points off originality because the symmetrical face looks fairly template-like.
- I judged this by eye against the brief, not against the other pieces in the set.
Something you should know: my first download in
/tmp/cand/was overwritten by something else on this machine shortly after I downloaded it. Its hash changed, and it decoded to a different character: navy visor, antennae, steel body. I threw that copy away and downloaded the file again into a new private temp directory. That copy matched the expected hash, and the verdict is based only on it. It matches the image I first viewed. I don't know what overwrote the file. If several reviewers share this machine, it's worth checking whether they use fixed/tmppaths.I did not add a README, because the task said to write only the review JSON.
