Build "Squeek Escape: Overdrive", an interactive browser game and stream companion powered by live Squeekchain telemetry on Ethereum Sepolia.

Core Features & Architecture:

  1. Live Telemetry Integration:

    • Poll Squeekchain public APIs: /v1/status (for live hamster wheel state, RPM, distance, and block height), /v1/economy/state, and /v1/settlements?range=24h from api.squeekchain.com.
    • Include a live animated pixel-art hamster wheel on HTML5 Canvas whose rotation speed dynamically scales with the real-time RPM from /v1/status (and shows a sleeping animation when idle).
  2. Interactive Gameplay ("Bail Before He Stops" & Round Predictor):

    • Mode 1 (Wheel Multiplier): When Squeektoshi is running, players can join a live run. Every second and every RPM increase builds a score multiplier. Players must click "Bail Out" to lock in their score before RPM drops or the wheel goes idle.
    • Mode 2 (Next Block / Round Predictor): Even when the hamster is sleeping, players can play a mini-game predicting the work units of the next settled block based on the 24h settlements history, plus an interactive rhythm mini-game where players tap in sync with historical settlement hashes to charge a community battery.
  3. Web3 & Sepolia On-Chain Proof:

    • Allow users to connect their Ethereum wallet (Sepolia testnet, chainId 11155111).
    • Fetch holder status via /v1/accounts/{address} to give Squeek NFT holders a +15% score boost.
    • Include a "Commit High Score On-Chain" button that sends a 0-ETH self-transaction on Sepolia with hex-encoded calldata (SQUEEK_SCORE::<block_height>) so players can verifiably stamp their score on Sepolia, plus a leaderboard.

    • High — bug: API adapters reject successful telemetry, settlement and holder responses.
    • Medium — bug: Enabling sound during a rhythm leaves that session silent.
    • Medium — bug: Entering stream view from a side game hides the hamster on phones.
    • Medium — bug: A history-request failure disables tapping during an active rhythm.

Game mechanics marked met below were exercised with controlled inputs. The API adapter defect blocks their live-data path.

    • highbug: the live API adapters reject telemetry, settlements and NFT holder datasrc/lib/telemetry.ts:46

Now: The four required API endpoints return HTTP 200 JSON, but their published schemas are rejected by parseStatus, parseEconomy, parseSettlements and parseHolder. The live wheel, history and both side games remain unavailable, and actual Squeek NFT holders cannot receive the 15% boost.

Change to: Normalize the actual response fields: measurement.rpmMilli / 1000, measurement.distanceMm / 1000, measurement.coreStatus and builder.anchor/projected.blockHeight; recentSettlements with workAdded, transactionHash and blockTimestamp; explicitly available economy fields; and account tokenCounts.wallet/staking or tokens with their custody. Leave genuinely absent statistics unavailable and honor source freshness.

Why: The brief explicitly requires live telemetry, history-powered games while idle and a holder boost from /v1/accounts/{address}. Correct adapters are deliverable in this repository.

      Width: 390 and 1440.

Open the production export in Live mode, press Retry and inspect the API responses; then open Round predictor and Hash rhythm.

Independently pass the actual response JSON into each exported parser.

      Verified 2026-11-06T17:13:09Z: /v1/status, /v1/economy/state, /v1/settlements?range=24h and /v1/accounts/0x9ca0a63dcea0592859bf78083c3a455fde747d31 all returned HTTP 200.

      Status supplied measurement.rpmMilli=0, coreStatus=IDLE and builder.anchor.blockHeight="1140".

History supplied summary.settlementCount="139" and 10 recentSettlements.

The account supplied tokenCounts.wallet="211" and 25 wallet-custody tokens on its first page.

Actual parser errors: "The status response is missing RPM or block height.", "The economy response has an unrecognized format.", "The settlements response has an unrecognized format.", and "Holder status is not available in this account response."

Expected: valid idle telemetry and supplied history render, the side games are playable, and the supplied NFT account qualifies for +15%.

To isolate adapter behavior from browser CORS or transport failures, replay those unmodified HTTP-200 JSON bodies at their original API URLs in Playwright: the banner still says Live feed unavailable, all three readings are dashes, and both Lock prediction and Start rhythm are disabled.

    • mediumbug: enabling sound during a rhythm leaves the current session silentsrc/components/SideGames.tsx:271

Now: The sound toggle changes to "Mute game sound" during an active rhythm, but AudioContext is initialized only in start() when sound was already enabled. The active session therefore stays silent.

Change to: Initialize and resume the existing audio context when sound is enabled during play, then let the existing beat scheduler play subsequent pulses.

Why: A toggle that reports sound enabled must apply to the current game; audible timing is useful feedback for the rhythm interaction.

Width: 390 × 844 (also applies at desktop).

Start a practice run, bail out, select Hash rhythm with sound off and click Start rhythm.

After 500 ms click Enable game sound and wait 2.4 seconds.

Actual: the toggle has aria-pressed="true" and is named Mute game sound, but instrumentation around AudioContext and oscillator.start records 0 contexts and 0 tones.

Stop and restart without changing the toggle; after 2.4 seconds the same instrumentation records 1 context and 2 tones.

Expected: enabling sound during the first session produces its subsequent beat tones without restarting.

    • mediumbug: entering stream view from a side game hides the hamster on phonessrc/styles.css:1691

Now: At widths up to 680px, the selected predictor/rhythm tab leaves alternate-game on the game shell. Its .scene rule hides the hamster canvas even after stream view hides the controls, so the stream companion loses its main visual.

Change to: Apply the mobile scene-hiding rule only outside stream mode, for example .app:not(.stream-mode) .alternate-game .scene { display: none; }. Keep the existing stream scene and let it occupy its normal position above telemetry.

Why: The brief asks for a stream companion featuring a live animated hamster wheel. Switching views should preserve the scene regardless of the previously selected game.

      Width: 390 × 844 (the rule applies through 680px).

Open the page, select Hash rhythm or Round predictor, then press the header Stream view control.

Actual measured state: .scene has display:none; canvas.isVisible() is false; .game-controls is also hidden.

The screenshot shows only the habitat heading and telemetry above the Copy stream URL control, with no wheel.

Exit stream view, select Wheel run and re-enter Stream view: .scene is display:block and canvas.isVisible() is true.

Expected: the canvas stays visible in stream view from either tab; API availability does not affect this reproduction.

    • mediumbug: a history request failure disables tapping during an active rhythmsrc/components/SideGames.tsx:414

Now: The pulse button uses disabled={!available} throughout a session. If a history refresh fails after a rhythm starts, the already captured hash and beat timer continue, while the tap control becomes disabled and the interface still instructs the player to tap or press Space.

Change to: Require fresh history when starting a session, and keep the pulse button enabled while phase === "playing"; use disabled={phase !== "playing" && !available}. The existing captured source is sufficient to finish that rhythm.

Why: A historical-hash session should remain playable after its beats have been fixed; a background request failure must not silently remove its main input while the game continues.

      Width: 390 × 844.

Use controlled API responses accepted by the current adapters: status {rpm:0,running:false,block_height:1140}, a valid economy response, and settlements containing one height/work_units/hash entry.

Select Hash rhythm and click Start rhythm.

After 300 ms make the next settlements request return HTTP 503 and press Retry live telemetry (an automatic 15-second refresh reproduces the same state).

Actual: the button still reads "Tap the pulse" but isDisabled() is true; instructions remain "0 of 16 pulses hit · Tap or press Space"; Stop rhythm remains visible and the beat timer continues.

Expected: the active round remains tappable using its stored hash, while only starting another round requires available history.

These are explicitly controlled failure inputs, not a claim that the public API returned 503.

  4. Build websiteAgent #154225 files changed

Fixed all four findings and rebuilt dist/. Added regression tests, updated documentation, and wrote .imd-responses.json.

Passed: build, typecheck, 13 parser tests, 24 browser checks, and 16 design checks. Bundle: 1.58 MB.

Live browser requests still encounter ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE; captured API responses now parse and replay successfully.

All four earlier findings are fixed: API adapters, sound enabled 500 ms into play, stream-view canvas visibility, and tapping after a history-request failure. Rechecked in Chromium and WebKit; all 13 parser regressions also pass.

One additional reproducible finding is recorded in .imd-findings.json:

Medium — bug: enabling rhythm sound late replays missed beats in a burst. At 390 and 1440 px, enabling sound five seconds into a rhythm produced seven tones within 250 ms, despite scheduled beats being 600 ms apart. Consume elapsed beat indices while muted and discard missed tones when enabling sound, so audio follows the current scoring timeline. Source: SideGames.tsx:327.

    • mediumbug: enabling rhythm sound late replays missed beats in a burstsrc/components/SideGames.tsx:327

Now: The original silent-session reproduction is fixed, but nextSound advances only while sound is enabled and animation is unpaused. Enabling sound after several beats, or muting and re-enabling it, plays the missed tones one per 25 ms interval while the visual beat and tap scoring continue on their original schedule.

Change to: Consume elapsed beat indices on every timer tick regardless of sound or pause state; discard already missed beats when audio becomes enabled and emit only the current or subsequent scheduled beat. Keep the existing shared AudioContext initialization.

Why: The rhythm game asks players to tap in sync with settlement-hash beats. A burst of obsolete audio cues is out of sync with the visible pulses and cannot be followed for scoring.

      Width: 390 × 844; independently repeated at 1440 × 844.

      Serve the production export.

      Intercept the original API URLs with HTTP-200 JSON: /v1/status {"rpm":0,"running":false,"block_height":1140}; /v1/economy/state {"total_work_units":50000,"total_settlements":101}; /v1/settlements?range=24h {"settlements":[{"height":1140,"work_units":200,"hash":"0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000"}]}.

      Instrument AudioContext.createOscillator().start to record performance.now().

Select Hash rhythm, click Start rhythm with sound off, wait 5,000 ms, click Enable game sound, and observe for 250 ms.

This hash schedules beats 600 ms apart (1,600, 2,200, 2,800 ms, etc.).

Actual: seven oscillator starts arrive in that observation window; consecutive gaps are 23, 25, 25, 25, 25 and 25 ms at both widths, replaying past beats.

The same catch-up also occurred with normal public settlement hashes when muting then re-enabling sound.

Expected: discard missed silent beats and play only the next scheduled tone in sync with the existing visual/tap timeline, with no 25 ms catch-up burst.

These API responses are controlled test inputs, not a claim that the public service returns an all-zero hash.
