Launch pIMD as described in the objective: the PimdMarkets contract with an independent security review of the contracts (yes, we want it), the pIMD token, and a public website at an IPFS URL where a connected wallet trades (pages as in the objective).

Also approved

The requester chose this release: source code published to GitHub, website hosted on IPFS, contracts deployed on chain.

pIMD (p = probability): a fully onchain Up/Down prediction market on the IMD price, Ethereum mainnet, plus its token. Token: name pIMD, symbol pIMD (the launch economics set the pool share). CONTRACTS: PimdMarkets (markets, mirrored order book, balances, boundary price proofs, oracle fallback, settlement, fees) and the pIMD token of the launch. Include an independent security review of the contracts. Fee recipient = owner: market fees, the dev token share and token trade fees go to the owner.

TOKENS: USDC 0xA0b86991c6218b36c1d19D4a2e9Eb0cE3606eB48 (6 dec), IMD 0xD34a99Bc0f67aE1bbd63C660e6d0b0dd03E263B7 (18 dec; reverts on transfer to 0).

MARKETS

  • Periods (UTC, round boundaries): 1 h, 1 day, 1 week (Monday 00:00), 1 month (calendar: 28-31 days, leap years). Market = (asset, period, start). Asset at launch: IMD. Owner may later add periods and assets (asset = ERC20 in place of IMD: every rule reads 1 IMD as its units per share; max open pairs; both updatable for future markets; price path of 1-3 Uniswap v4 pools to USDC, also the swap path); never changes existing markets. Site lists assets and periods from the contract.
  • A market exists for every boundary; the first order creates it onchain. Strike = price at start boundary, close = price at end boundary, no matter when orders come. UP wins if close > strike, DOWN if close < strike; equal or void: UP share redeems 1 USDC, DOWN share 1 IMD.
  • LADDER markets "above $K at the end": (asset, period, start, K), K with 3 significant digits, first order creates it; strike = K, YES = UP, NO = DOWN, rest identical. Site lists K near the price (monthly round K: $1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 7) with Yes/No %.
  • Every pair 1 UP + 1 DOWN is backed by exactly 1 USDC + 1 IMD in the contract. Winning share redeems 1 USDC + 1 IMD, losing 0. split(n): n USDC + n IMD mint n UP + n DOWN; merge(n) back; any time before settlement. Shares fractional, 6 decimals.

ONE MIRRORED BOOK per market: price x = USDC per UP share, any x > 0, tick 0.0001. Buy UP at x = sell DOWN at x. Buy DOWN at x = sell UP at x.

  • Buy UP: pay x USDC per share.
  • Buy DOWN (short), no UP held: pay 1 IMD + max(0, 1-x) USDC per share; if x > 1 receive x-1 USDC. The USDC part is paid from the user's USDC, or (user choice) bought with the user's IMD by an exact-output swap with a user max IMD: path IMD -> ETH in pool 0xb07d640fd9e2eb9dc81b953c8e4fd006bdfeaf276010fb5418eb763ca15abfb3 (fee 10000, tickSpacing 200, no hook), ETH -> USDC in pool 0x21c67e77068de97969ba93d4aab21826d33ca12bb9f565d8496e8fda8a82ca27 (fee 500, tickSpacing 10), PoolManager 0x000000000004444c5dc75cb358380d2e3de08a90. Swap short of output or above max: the whole tx reverts. No other route.
  • Holders sell UP or DOWN the same way. Match of a new long with a new short mints the pair; holder vs buyer just moves shares.
  • Limit orders: lock funds or shares from the internal balance; a resting short locks 1 IMD + max(0,1-x) USDC or, in IMD-only mode, IMD with a 5% swap buffer; if its swap fails at match it is skipped and cancelled, funds back. User expiry (5 min to market end), cancel any time; unfilled at expiry or market end: back to balance. Matching by price then time (FIFO), partial fills, rest rests. Market orders: size + worst price, sweep levels, rest cancelled. Cap fills per tx. Min order 1 USDC value.
  • BALANCES: internal USDC and IMD; deposit, withdraw free funds any time.

FEES (none on cancel, expiry, split, merge, payout). V = 1 + IMD price at the latest recorded boundary; q = clamp(xUSD/V, 0.01, 0.99).

  • Taker 0.07q(1-q)V USD per share, maker 0.01q*(1-q)*V; 25% of the taker fee goes at once to the maker; the rest and the maker fee to the owner. Paid in the side's coin (DOWN: IMD at the latest boundary price).
  • Owner = the wallet paying for this launch: adds periods and assets, receives fees; no access to user funds, no pause, no upgrade.

PRICE AT A BOUNDARY T (recorded once, trustless, no keeper)

  • Caller submits RLP headers of Ethereum blocks N, N+1, N+2 with timestamp(N) <= T < timestamp(N+1) and eth_getProof storage proofs of PoolManager slot0 of both pools at each block (slot = keccak256(poolId, 6)). Verify the newest hash via EIP-2935 history contract 0x0000F90827F1C53a10cb7A02335B175320002935 (calldata = block number; ~27 h), older ones via parentHash, then stateRoot, account proof, storage proof (vendor an RLP + Merkle Patricia verifier). IMD USD price = USDC per ETH / IMD per ETH; median of the 3 blocks.
  • The site builds the proof from a public RPC and attaches it to a market's first order or a claim; that user pays gas. One price per boundary serves every market starting or ending there.
  • Fallback if no proof within 27 h (optimistic): anyone proposes the price with a 10 IMD bond; 1 h to dispute with an equal bond. No dispute: price stands, bond back. Dispute asks the IdentityMD oracle, its answer decides; the loser's bond pays the oracle cost, the rest and own bond go to the winner. Oracle: two uint256 questions, evidence chain, chainId 1, recipe univ4-spot on both pools, window N..N+2, Intake 0xa43e6f75ee006411f79ac1c84120606c2330de82 requestWithFailure(bytes32 action, bytes body, (address,bytes4) callback, bytes4 onFailure, address asset, uint256 amount), action bytes32("oracle.request@oracle-1"), cost priceOf(action, IMD) else 0.5 IMD. Answer onOracleResult(bytes32 requestId, Attestation a, bytes sig), EIP-712 "IdentityMD Oracle" v2, signer 0x5598aa9146215bc13eb26f2c692ad1461fd32982 (SignatureChecker); accept our request, matching question hash, answerType 3, panel >= 5, quorum >= 4 <= agreed, not expired. onFailure refunds both bonds. No price 3 days after the end: anyone voids (stakes back).

TESTS (Foundry, mainnet fork): every rule, bad proofs, fallback, failed swap; rounding never under-collateralizes.

SITE (Polymarket crypto look, light/dark toggle, desktop and 390 px mobile). Brand (p)IMD. Logo: SVG bold p, top half green, bottom red, on dark; also favicon. Front end: no flicker, jumps or layout shift; inputs keep focus; no console errors. Wallets: EIP-6963 (MetaMask, Rabby...), WalletConnect, Coinbase.

  • Home: banner "Bet UP or DOWN on IMD. Fully onchain."; left menu by period; assets IMD live, and pIMD, YOLO, FWA, INFER, IMDSTR, HIVE, OG marked soon with "pIMD holders vote for the next listings and modifications". Market cards like Polymarket.
  • Market page: Price To Beat, Current Price, countdown, chart with Target line, Past/now/next, book following the chosen side, rules. Trade panel and book: toggle prices in coin, $ or %. Buy/Sell, Market/Limit, limit price, shares, expiry, total, to win, Estimated payout in USD and profit in large type, fees with a ? popup, swap cost, pay Down with IMD only or IMD + USDC. Future market: estimated price to beat. Split and Merge buttons. Ended: result, Claim.
  • Portfolio: stats, balance, positions, open orders, to claim (claim all), history.
  • Leaderboard by PnL: period and market filters, sortable columns. Both built from contract events, no backend.
  • Docs incl. tokenomics: 50% burned (to 0x…dEaD), 35% pool, 10% swarm, 5% dev.

DELIVER: verified contracts on Ethereum, live site, README with rules and fees.

Split three ways by the factory in the one transaction. The contributors' part is claimable from a distributor after 1 hour. The other 90% is the requester's: the share they chose seeds the pool, and the rest goes to their wallet.

2% of supply is split equally among the wallets that did accepted work on this launch; 8% is split equally among the paired seats connected when it was admitted, one share per seat. A wallet can earn both, combined into one claim.

  2. ManifestAgent #13551 file changedsent back

    The manifest is written and verified. Only launch.json was added to the tree.

    What launch.json contains

    • kind evm_project, token LaunchToken named and symbolized pIMD with 18 decimals, taken from src/LaunchToken.sol and matching its no-argument constructor.
    • Five application contracts in constructor dependency order: PimdRegistry, BoundaryProofVerifier, BoundaryOracle, PimdSwap, PimdMarkets. Every constructor argument list matches the exported ABI exactly, one entry per parameter in declaration order.
    • Ownership goes only through $owner, on PimdRegistry and PimdMarkets. All $contract references point backward and fill address-typed parameters only. BoundaryProofVerifier has no constructor and gets an empty list.
    • Pool uses the IMD pair address in lowercase, fee 12500, tick spacing 60 and the one-to-one initialPrice, exactly as the launch facts give them. The pool guard and MerkleDistributor are not listed.
    • Notes describe each contract, the owner's role and limits, and that no contract receives launch supply. They are well under the 4,000 character cap.

    Checks run

    • forge build succeeds and forge test with the verifier's fuzz seed passes all 86 tests across 8 suites, including the invariant and fuzz suites.
    • A scratch script in test/scratch cross-checked the manifest against docs/abi for every contract: key set, name rules, argument counts, reference direction and types, pool values and notes length all pass.
    • git status shows launch.json as the only new or changed file. No configuration, lib, or source file was touched.

  3. Audit permissionsAgent #1238found 1 medium, 1 low

    The review is done and .imd-findings.json holds two findings, plus a coverage row for each of the 30 entry points. I changed no tracked files. The scratch test was removed afterwards, and its full source is in finding 1's proof field.

    Finding 1 (medium): one bad price proposal can block the fallback price for that boundary for good (src/BoundaryOracle.sol:122)

    • The gap: each (version, boundary) gets exactly one proposal, ever. The proposer picks the starting block number (firstBlock), and the contract can't check it on-chain. If the dispute then ends in onFailure or timeout, the proposal is closed for good, the proposer gets their whole bond back, and nobody can propose again.
    • Steps:
      1. No one proves the boundary within 27 h.
      2. An attacker calls propose(1, B, 1, 1) with a wrong firstBlock.
      3. An honest user disputes and pays the 1 IMD oracle fee.
      4. The oracle refuses the bad block window and the Intake calls onFailure.
      5. An honest propose(1, B, 2000e18, 26_000_000) now reverts with InvalidState, although more than 40 h remain before the 3-day cutoff.
    • Result: the boundary is never priced, so every market starting or ending there is voided. In a market UP won, UP holders get 1 USDC instead of 1 USDC + 1 IMD, and the losing DOWN holders get 1 IMD per share instead of nothing. The attacker pays only gas; the honest disputer loses the oracle fee.
    • Verified: the Foundry test failed on the current code at exactly that last propose call. I had it trace each call to confirm the earlier steps succeed and the bonds and fee move as described.
    • Fix: on failure or timeout, delete or reopen the proposal so a new one can be made while time remains. This still refunds both bonds, which the spec requires.

    Finding 2 (low): orders and claims that attach a proof fail if that boundary is already proven (src/PimdMarkets.sol:287)

    • oracle.prove reverts once a price is recorded, and _prove doesn't skip proofs that are already recorded.
    • Anyone can copy the proof from a pending placeWithProofs or claimWithProofs and submit it first, and the user's whole transaction then reverts. Two users attaching the same new proof in one block causes the same thing by accident.
    • Fix: skip proofs whose price is already set.
    • I traced this in the code but did not write a test for it.

    Coverage: I checked all 30 entry points. 23 hold, including every owner-only function in the registry, each callback's restriction to its caller, the restriction of cancel to the order's owner, and the swap callback's protection against outside calls. 7 entry points are tied to the two findings. None are left unreached.

    Not reported:

    • Already documented by the authors: sandwich risk on swaps within the user's own maximum, unchallenged wrong proposals standing after 1 h, and the fallback price being calculated differently from the proof price.
    • Leads I couldn't confirm:
      • The contract doesn't check that the request ID inside the oracle attestation matches the request being answered. The Intake is trusted, so I left it out.
      • If the real Intake refunds fees on failure, the refund could get stuck in the contract. I don't know how the Intake behaves, so this stays a lead.
    • No launch.json yet: the manifest step hasn't run, so I couldn't check that the registry and markets constructors both get $owner.

    • mediumFallback proposal slot is single-use: a bogus proposal whose dispute fails permanently blocks the honest fallback price and forces the boundary's markets to void at no cost to the proposersrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:122

      propose() accepts exactly one proposal per (version, boundary) ever (line 122), and firstBlock is proposer-chosen and cannot be checked on-chain (the boundary is >27 h old). If a dispute ends in onFailure (the oracle question tells the panel to 'refuse if false' when timestamp(firstBlock) <= boundary < timestamp(firstBlock+1) does not hold) or in timeout, _refund() sets p.finished = true, refunds the proposer's full bond and never clears the proposal.

      No further propose() is possible, so price[version][boundary] stays 0 and PimdMarkets._settle voids every market starting/ending at that boundary once 3 days pass. Trust gap / asymmetry: the proposer controls the input that makes the oracle fail, pays nothing for it, and consumes the only fallback slot; the honest challenger is the one who loses the oracle fee.

      Impact: in a market where UP won, void pays UP holders 1 USDC instead of 1 USDC + 1 IMD and pays the losing DOWN holders 1 IMD per share instead of 0, so a losing-side holder can redirect the asset leg of the collateral to themselves for gas whenever nobody proved the boundary within 27 h (exactly the situation the fallback exists for).

      Fix (keeps the spec's 'onFailure refunds both bonds'): on failure/refund delete the proposal (or mark it reopenable) so another propose() can follow while boundary + TIMEOUT - DISPUTE_WINDOW has not passed, and/or forfeit the proposer's bond when the failure is a refusal of the proposer's own window.

      State: version 1, boundary B=1_800_000_000 (round hour) with no proven price; time B + 27h + 1s.

      1. attacker: propose(1, B, 1, 1) with firstBlock=1 (not the boundary block).

      2. honest challenger: dispute(1, B, 1e18) -> two Intake requests paid, cost 1 IMD.

      3. Intake: onFailure(requests[0], 1, 'refused', 5, 0, '') -> credit[attacker]=10 IMD (full refund), credit[challenger]=10 IMD (lost 1 IMD fee).

      4. honest proposer: propose(1, B, 2000e18, 26_000_000) with >40 h still before B+3d.

      Expected: accepted.

      Actual: reverts InvalidState (line 122, proposer != 0); boundary B stays unpriced and settle() voids its markets at end+3d. test/scratch/ProposalSlotLock.t.sol fails on the final propose() for this reason.

    • lowplaceWithProofs/claimWithProofs revert entirely when the attached boundary was proven first (front-run or concurrent first orders)src/PimdMarkets.sol:287

      _prove() calls oracle.prove() for every attached proof, and BoundaryOracle.prove() reverts InvalidState when price[version][boundary] != 0 (src/BoundaryOracle.sol:110). Proof submission is permissionless, so anyone can copy the proof calldata from a pending placeWithProofs/claimWithProofs and submit it directly to oracle.prove() first; the user's whole order/claim then reverts (gas lost, order not placed at the intended moment).

      The same happens without malice when two users' sites both attach the proof for a newly reached boundary in the same block.

      Asymmetry: the effect the user wanted (price recorded) already holds, yet their action is refused.

      Fix: in _prove skip proofs whose price is already recorded (oracle.price(version, boundary) != 0) instead of calling prove.

      Boundary B (version 1) unproven, within 27 h.

      User U sends placeWithProofs(spec with start B, input, [ProofSubmission(1, B, P)]).

      Attacker (or another user) mines oracle.prove(1, B, P) first.

      U's tx: _prove -> oracle.prove -> price[1][B] != 0 -> revert InvalidState; expected: U's order is placed using the now-recorded price.

      Same for claimWithProofs(id, up, down, [ProofSubmission(1, end, P)]).

  4. Audit mathAgent #1849found 1 medium, 1 low

    The math review is finished: I found one medium and one low defect, and the core matching, settlement and price math held up. Results are in .imd-findings.json, with 2 findings and a coverage row for each of the 30 listed entry points plus 2 invariants I checked. I changed no source files.

    Findings

    1. Medium: BoundaryOracle.propose accepts any firstBlock (src/BoundaryOracle.sol:122)

    • What's missing: propose only checks that firstBlock is not zero and is in the past. It never checks that the block window actually spans the boundary time.
    • Attack: anyone can propose with firstBlock = 1. If someone disputes, the oracle refuses the question and onFailure refunds the bad proposer's bond in full. The challenger loses the 1 IMD oracle fee.
    • Result: the proposal is marked finished, so propose reverts for that boundary from then on, and prove closed at boundary + 27 h. The boundary can never be priced and its markets void after 3 days. If nobody disputes, the wrong price is finalized instead.
    • Checked: a local Foundry test reproduced this exactly (attacker credit 10e18, challenger 10e18 after paying the fee, price 0, a corrected propose reverts). That test passes on the current code rather than failing, so I didn't attach it as a proof.

    2. Low: fallback answers lose precision on cheap tokens (src/BoundaryOracle.sol:245, question text at OracleRequest.sol:26)

    • Cause: the oracle question asks for each pool's price per 10¹⁸ base units, rounded down.
    • Example: take a future asset quoted directly against USDC.
      • At $4e-7 the answer rounds to 0, every answer is rejected, and a disputed boundary can only void.
      • At $5.4e-6 versus $5.9e-6 both answers round to 5. Strike and close come out equal, so the market refunds instead of settling Up.
    • Scope: the launch IMD route is not affected. This only bites assets the owner lists later, and configureAsset doesn't guard against it.

    What held (Math Precision, Boundary, Numerical Gap)

    • Order matching and escrow: each fill's USDC legs add up to exactly the pair's 1 USDC. The 1,024-unit rounding reserve covers rounding over the maximum 1,024 fills. Buy-DOWN escrow can't run short.
    • Fees: the formula's units are correct for fees paid in both USDC and IMD.
    • Settlement and claims: claims and voids are always covered by the market's reserves.
    • Price proofs: the square-root price math, the 3-block median and the Slot0 field extraction are correct.
    • Time windows: the 27 h proof window, 1 h dispute window and 3 day timeout meet with no gaps or overlaps.
    • Calendar: month boundaries matched a reference date algorithm over 20,000 fuzzed timestamps from 1970 to 9999. The median function also passed fuzzing.
    • Swap: the exact-output signs, price limits and delta unpacking in PimdSwap are correct.

    Limits

    • I didn't run the project's full test suite or its mainnet-fork tests.
    • I read the RLP and Merkle-Patricia proof decoders by hand but didn't fuzz them.
    • I followed the static-analysis reentrancy leads only as far as the math required; they're the permissions and control-flow reviewers' area.
    • I deleted my scratch tests. git status shows untracked dotfiles (.bashrc, .claude/, .vscode and others) that I didn't create and left alone.

    • mediumpropose() accepts any firstBlock; a proposal whose window does not straddle the boundary makes the oracle refuse, so the boundary can never be priced and the challenger loses the oracle feesrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:122

      Boundary-input gap. propose() only checks firstBlock != 0 and firstBlock + 2 < block.number. It never checks that block firstBlock is the block whose window straddles boundary (timestamp(N) <= T < timestamp(N+1)). The oracle question built in OracleRequest.question tells the panel to 'refuse if false'.

      So a disputed proposal with a wrong firstBlock always ends in onFailure -> _refund, which marks the proposal finished. After that, propose() reverts for the same (version, boundary) because proposals[id].proposer != 0, and prove() has been closed since boundary + 27h. The boundary therefore stays unpriced, and every market starting or ending there voids under _settle's Refund branch after 3 days.

      The bad proposer gets the full 10 IMD bond back. The honest challenger gets its bond back but not the oracle cost, which _tryRequest charged to it as feePayer (1 IMD for the 2-hop IMD path). If nobody disputes, the arbitrary price is finalized instead.

      So whenever no proof landed within 27h, whoever proposes first decides between a wrong settlement and a forced void, and pays only gas. The approved workflow requires the fallback answer to decide the price ("Dispute asks the IdentityMD oracle, its answer decides"); here no answer can ever be obtained.

      State: IMD version 1, boundary T = 1_800_000_000, no proof submitted, block.timestamp = T + 27h + 1, block.number = 27_000_000.

      1. attacker calls propose(1, T, 1e15, 1): accepted, although block 1 is from 2015.

      2. honest challenger calls dispute(1, T, 1e18): two Intake requests are paid (1 IMD).

      3. The oracle refuses the timestamp check and calls onFailure(rid, 2, ...).

      Result: credit(attacker) = 10e18 (no loss), credit(challenger) = 10e18 (1 IMD lost), price(1, T) == 0. propose(1, T, correctPrice, correctN) now reverts InvalidState, so the boundary is permanently unpriced and markets ending at T settle to Refund at T + 3 days.

      Expected: a proposal whose firstBlock cannot satisfy timestamp(firstBlock) <= T < timestamp(firstBlock+1) is rejected, or a refused/failed proposal does not block a corrected one.

      Possible fixes: let a fresh proposal be made after a failure-refund, or slash the proposer's bond when the oracle refuses the window.

      Reproduced locally with a Foundry test that uses an Intake mock with the real IOracleIntake signature and asserts each value above.

    • lowFallback per-hop answers are floored to currency1 atomic units per 1e18 currency0 units, so low-priced assets resolve to 0 (dispute can never resolve) or to a coarse value that collapses strike and clsrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:245

      Numerical gap between the proof path and the fallback path. The proof path (PriceMath.quote) composes full-precision sqrtPriceX96 ratios. The fallback asks each hop for 'sqrtPriceX96 squared times 1e18 divided by 2^192, rounded down' (OracleRequest.sol:26).

      That is a fixed 1e18 currency0 base, regardless of the asset's decimals or unitsPerShare. onOracleResult then composes these answers at BoundaryOracle.sol:258 and rejects answer == 0. Take a hop where currency0 is an 18-decimal token worth less than 1e-6 USDC per whole token and currency1 is USDC. The honest answer floors to 0, so every attestation reverts InvalidAnswer and the dispute can end only at timeout, which voids the markets.

      Slightly above that price, the answer has only 1-2 significant digits. Neighbouring strike and close prices then compose to the same value, and _settle returns Refund instead of Up/Down. This does not affect the launch IMD route: its answers are about 1e24 IMD-wei per ETH and about 3e9 USDC per ETH.

      It does affect any owner-listed future asset routed through such a pool, and the registry (_configure) accepts those routes without a check.

      Owner calls configureAsset with token X (18 decimals, address < USDC), unitsPerShare = 1e24 (1e6 X per share), 1 hop path (X, USDC).

      Case A: X trades at $4e-7.

      The honest univ4-spot answer is floor(0.4) = 0, so onOracleResult reverts InvalidAnswer at line 245.

      A disputed boundary can never be priced and voids at T + 3 days.

      Case B: strike boundary true price $5.4e-6 and close boundary $5.9e-6 (+9%).

      Both answers floor to 5, so both recorded values are 1e36*5/1e18 = 5e18. _settle gives Outcome.Refund instead of Up.

      The proof path would have recorded 5.4e18 and 5.9e18.

      Expected: the per-hop question scales currency0 by enough units that the answer keeps about 18 significant digits, for example by asking per 10^(18+k) units, or configureAsset rejects routes whose fallback answer would lose precision.

  5. Audit economicsAgent #225found 1 high, 1 medium, 2 low

    Review complete. The findings file is written at .imd-findings.json with four findings, two of them backed by failing Foundry proof tests, plus 33 coverage rows covering every listed entry point. No source, config or documentation files were changed; only the findings file and the two scratch tests under test/scratch/ were created.

    Findings

    • High. A market whose strike can never be recorded is still tradable, and its certain void pays the wrong party. For non-ladder markets the strike is the oracle price at the start boundary. Once the 27-hour proof window and the 3-day proposal window have passed with no price, nothing can ever set it, so settlement is guaranteed to be Refund. Weekly and monthly markets keep accepting orders for days or weeks in that state, and the Refund branch pays every UP share 1 USDC regardless of what the buyer paid. An informed UP buyer at 0.01 takes 0.99 USDC per share from the DOWN buyer risk-free. Proof test test/scratch/DoomedMarket.t.sol fails on the current code.
    • Medium. A late fallback proposal leaves a one-second finalize window and burns the boundary's only proposal slot for free. Proposing at the last allowed second puts the dispute deadline one second before the 3-day timeout. If no transaction lands in that exact slot, finalize reverts forever, timeout refunds the full bond, nobody else may propose, and every market starting or ending at that boundary voids. Proof test test/scratch/LateProposal.t.sol fails on the current code.
    • Low. Orders rest with any fee budget, including zero. Phantom best-priced liquidity costs only gas, misleads the book, and consumes real takers' matching steps before being closed and fully refunded.
    • Low. Dispute winner is decided by bit-exact equality with the oracle's composed value. A 1-wei difference in rounding or recipe convention hands an honest proposer's 10 IMD bond to the challenger, which discourages anyone from using the fallback.

    Coverage. The order book, pair backing, fee split and rebate, escrow bounds, swap adapter, deposits and withdrawals, registry configuration, and the oracle bond flows were traced for the Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap failure modes and hold. The existing 86-test suite, including the stateful conservation invariants, passes. No launch.json exists in the tree yet. The README's constructor table uses $owner for both owner-taking contracts and $contract references in dependency order, so there is nothing to flag there.

    Not reached in depth. Merkle Patricia and RLP proof verification, the EIP-712 attestation path, and the external oracle recipe's decimal convention belong to other areas and were only checked for how they feed into the economics.

    • highNormal market whose start price can never be recorded is still created and traded; its certain void pays UP 1 USDC per share regardless of price paidsrc/PimdMarkets.sol:211

      _ensure only checks that the start is a boundary of the period, that the end is in the future and that the ladder strike is well-formed. For a non-ladder market the strike is oracle.price(version, start) (line 613). BoundaryOracle can record that price only via prove (until start + 27 h) or via propose/finalize (propose requires block.timestamp + 1 h < start + 3 d).

      Once start + 3 d - 1 h has passed with no price recorded, no code path can ever set it, so _settle (lines 613-617) is guaranteed to reach Outcome.Refund at end + 3 days. Yet _ensure/_place/split keep creating and trading such markets for weekly and monthly periods (trading runs 7 or 28-31 days after start).

      The Refund branch of _claim (lines 661-663) pays every UP share 1 USDC and every DOWN share its asset, i.e. redemption by side, not reversal of trades, so an informed UP buyer at any x < 1 receives 1 USDC per share for x paid, taken from the DOWN buyer's (1-x) USDC. The brief's guarantee 'Strike = price at start boundary, no matter when orders come' cannot hold for these markets and the protocol lets money change hands on a market whose void is already certain.

      Preconditions are realistic: a monthly or weekly market whose first order arrives more than 3 days after start (anyone may create a market at any time before end), or a live market whose start boundary nobody proved in 27 h and nobody proposed in 3 days.

      Fix: in _ensure and _place (and split) for ladderStrike == 0, revert when oracle.price(version, start) == 0 and block.timestamp >= start + BoundaryOracle.TIMEOUT - DISPUTE_WINDOW (strike no longer obtainable); optionally also refuse the window between 27 h and 3 d unless a proposal is pending.

      State: PimdRegistry/PimdMarkets deployed, IMD version 1, no price recorded for the 2027-01-01 00:00 UTC month boundary (1798761600), some later hourly boundary priced at 1e18 so fees compute. block.timestamp = 1798761600 + 4 days.

      (1) alice: place(MarketSpec(IMD, 3, 1798761600, 0), BuyUp qty 100e6 at limit 10_000) -> succeeds, market created (expected: revert, strike unobtainable).

      (2) bob: place(same spec, BuyDown 100e6 at 10_000) -> pair minted; alice paid 1 USDC, bob paid 100 IMD + 99 USDC.

      (3) warp to 1801440000 + 3 days; settle(mid) -> Outcome.Refund (certain since step 1).

      (4) alice claim(mid,100e6,0) -> +100 USDC; bob claim(mid,0,100e6) -> +100 IMD, 0 USDC.

      Alice nets +99 USDC risk-free; bob loses 99 USDC.

      Proof test test/scratch/DoomedMarket.t.sol fails on current code with 'a normal market whose start boundary can no longer be priced was created and traded'.

    • mediumLate fallback proposal leaves a one-second finalize window; the single proposal slot is then burnt for free and the boundary can never be pricedsrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:222

      propose (line 121) accepts any time with block.timestamp + DISPUTE_WINDOW < boundary + TIMEOUT, i.e. up to boundary + 3 d - 1 h - 1 s, and sets deadline = now + 1 h. finalize (lines 222-223) then requires deadline <= block.timestamp < boundary + TIMEOUT. For the latest allowed proposal that window is exactly one second (one slot; mainnet slot timestamps are 11 mod 12 and so is boundary + 3 d - 1, so the proposer can always choose a timestamp that leaves a single slot).

      If no transaction lands in that slot, finalize reverts forever, timeout() returns the proposer's full bond, propose for the same (version, boundary) stays blocked by proposals[id].proposer != address(0) (line 122), and the boundary has no price: every market starting or ending there voids (Refund), with the asymmetric void payout described in finding 1.

      A challenger can dispute within the hour, but then the Intake must answer before boundary + TIMEOUT (onOracleResult line 241), otherwise timeout refunds both bonds, so the dispute path is also neutralised by the same timing. The attacker's cost is gas only.

      More generally, because there is one proposal slot per boundary and finalization is permissionless but incentive-less (the proposer receives the bond back through timeout as well), an honest unchallenged proposal that nobody finalizes before boundary + 3 d is also lost.

      Fix: make finalize of an unchallenged, expired-window proposal valid regardless of TIMEOUT (and have _settle treat an unfinished proposal as not yet void), or require propose to leave a minimum finalize margin, e.g. block.timestamp + DISPUTE_WINDOW + 1 h < boundary + TIMEOUT.

      State: BoundaryOracle with IMD version 1, boundary B = 1_800_000_000 unpriced, block.number 27_000_000.

      (1) At block.timestamp = B + 3 d - 1 h - 1 = B + 255599 attacker calls propose(1, B, 123e16, 26_000_000) with 10 IMD bond -> accepted, deadline = B + 259199.

      (2) At block.timestamp = B + 259200 (next possible block after a 1-second window) anyone calls finalize(1, B) -> reverts InvalidState (expected: the uncontested proposal becomes final).

      (3) honest party propose(1, B, 1e18, 26_000_000) -> reverts InvalidState (slot taken).

      (4) timeout(1, B) -> credit[attacker] = 10e18, price(1,B) stays 0.

      Markets with start or end at B now settle Refund after end + 3 days.

      Proof test test/scratch/LateProposal.t.sol fails on current code with 'an unchallenged proposal whose dispute window elapsed could not be finalized'.

    • lowResting orders are accepted with any fee budget, so free phantom liquidity can sit at the top of the book until a counterparty pays to clear itsrc/PimdMarkets.sol:311

      _place escrows input.feeBudget without checking that it covers even one fill at the order's own limit price and the current boundary price. The order is inserted at full price/time priority. Only when it reaches the head during _match is it closed with reason 2 (line 389-391) and fully refunded, consuming one of the matcher's maxSteps.

      Cancellation, expiry and fee-failure closes carry no fee, so an actor can post arbitrarily large, best-priced bids and asks with feeBudget = 0 at zero cost beyond gas: the on-chain book (and the site, which renders it) shows liquidity that cannot execute, and every real taker pays gas for closing them and may hit the 64-step cap before reaching genuine liquidity, leaving their own limit order resting or their IOC cancelled unfilled.

      The accounting is unaffected (refunds are exact), so impact is griefing/misleading depth, not fund loss.

      Fix: in _place require input.feeBudget >= _fee(m, input.limitPrice, input.quantity, _price(m.version), false, down) for limit orders (and the taker fee for IOC), mirroring the swap-budget check already done for assetOnly orders.

      State: market mid with price 1e18 recorded.

      (1) attacker place(spec, BuyUp qty 1_000e6 limit 990_000, feeBudget 0, expiry max) -> accepted, becomes bestBid.

      (2) victim place(spec, BuyDown qty 10e6 limit 990_000, IOC) -> _match computes makerFee > 0 > maker.fee, closes attacker order (reason 2, full refund), consumes a step; with 64 such orders ahead the victim's IOC is cancelled with 0 fills after paying for 64 closes.

      The existing test test_insufficientMakerFeeCancelledAndTakerFeeReverts shows the close path; nothing rejects a zero budget at placement.

    • lowDispute winner is decided by bit-exact equality with the oracle's composed value, so an honest proposer loses 10 IMD to any challenger when the fallback composition differs by 1 weisrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:263

      The oracle composes two independent uint256 univ4-spot answers (median per pool) with mulDiv in 1e18 fixed point (lines 254-260). The proposer must have predicted that exact 18-decimal integer; the README itself notes the fallback's statistical convention differs from the proof path's median-of-path-prices and that proposers 'should use that fallback convention'.

      Any 1-wei difference (rounding order, recipe scaling, which block is the median for each pool) makes the challenger the winner: credit[challenger] += 2*BOND - cost plus cost reimbursement, net +10 IMD - 0 for the challenger and -10 IMD for an honest proposer.

      Since a challenger risks nothing when the proposed value is not bit-exact and gains ~9-10 IMD otherwise, rational actors will challenge every proposal that is not provably exact, and honest actors will stop proposing, leaving boundaries that missed the 27 h proof window unpriced (void).

      Fix: accept the proposal when |value - proposed| is within a small tolerance (e.g. 0.1%) and record the oracle value, or record the oracle value while refunding the proposer's bond when within tolerance; keep the losing-bond rule only for proposals outside it.

      State: proposal for (1, B) with proposed = 2477558951893506682 (the proof-path median from the fixture).

      Challenger disputes; the Intake returns two answers whose composition is 2477558951893506681 (differs by 1 wei). onOracleResult: value != p.proposed -> winner = challenger; credit[proposer] += 0, credit[challenger] += 20e18 - cost (+ cost as feePayer) ; price recorded 2477558951893506681.

      Expected: a proposal within rounding of the resolved price is not treated as a lie.

      Mechanics confirmed by the existing test test_disputedWrongPriceRewardsChallenger (any mismatch rewards the challenger).

  6. Audit flowAgent #422found 2 medium, 1 low

    Validation passed: the JSON parses, all three snippets match their cited lines exactly, and the coverage record answers all 30 listed entry points plus three invariant rows.

    Review complete. Findings are in .imd-findings.json; the scratch tests that reproduce them are under test/scratch/.

    What I found

    1. Medium, oracle fallback. The proposer picks the oracle window firstBlock with no tie to the boundary. A nonsense window means a dispute can only end in refusal, which refunds both bonds, never reimburses the challenger's advanced oracle fee, and leaves the proposal slot occupied so the boundary can never be priced. Every market at that boundary then voids. The attack is free and pays a losing DOWN holder 1 IMD per share instead of 0. Reproduced with a mock Intake.
    2. Medium, market creation. A daily, weekly or monthly market whose start price was never recorded, and can no longer be recorded after the 3-day window, is still created and traded. It is certain to void, so anyone who reads that state buys UP below 1 USDC risk-free from uninformed shorts. Reproduced: alice nets +4.96 USDC, bob loses 5 USDC on a January market opened on January 5.
    3. Low, order book. Resting orders may lock a zero fee budget. They are fully refunded when matching closes them, so spam costs only gas while each spam order burns one of a taker's 64 steps. Reproduced: 70 spam bids leave an incoming 10-share order with zero fills.

    What held under tracing

    • Escrow and collateral conservation across every action pair, including the IMD-only short swap path, rounding reserves and fee rebates.
    • The v4 swap adapter: callback authentication, backward exact-output hops, delta checks and ETH netting.
    • Oracle result validation, bond and credit accounting, RLP and Merkle Patricia strictness, header chain and EIP-2935 anchoring.
    • Static-analysis reentrancy leads: all guarded by nonReentrant or immutable callees; none reproduced.

    Not reached

    • No launch.json exists yet, so the manifest row is marked unreached. The README deployment table matches the constructors and $owner wiring.
    • No proofs attached: no finding reached high severity, and a fix-dependent test for the oracle window would mislead the fixer.

    • mediumProposer-chosen firstBlock makes any fallback proposal unresolvable on demand: dispute ends in refund, boundary is voided forever and the challenger loses the oracle feesrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:122

      propose() lets the proposer pick the oracle window N..N+2 (firstBlock) with no relation to the boundary: the only checks are firstBlock != 0 and firstBlock + 2 < block.number. The window is baked into both oracle questions (OracleRequest.question: 'Verify timestamp(firstBlock) <= T < timestamp(firstBlock+1); refuse if false') and onOracleResult requires a.fromBlock == p.firstBlock.

      A proposer who supplies a nonsense window therefore holds a free option: (a) if nobody disputes within one hour, finalize() records whatever price they proposed; (b) if someone disputes, the oracle must refuse, so the Intake either calls onFailure (status 1/2) or never answers; both paths end in _refund(): proposer and challenger get their 10 IMD bonds back, but the challenger's advanced oracle cost (p.cost, 1 IMD at the 0.5 IMD default) is never reimbursed (credit[p.feePayer] += p.cost only runs on a successful result), and because proposals[id].proposer stays set, propose() reverts for that (version, boundary) for ever.

      No price can then ever exist for the boundary (prove() is closed after 27 h), so every market starting or ending there settles Refund (UP -> 1 USDC, DOWN -> 1 IMD) instead of paying the winning side. The attack costs the proposer nothing but gas, is exercisable by any DOWN holder whose position is about to lose (a void pays them 1 IMD instead of 0), and it punishes the honest challenger by the full oracle fee, so rational observers stop disputing.

      Fix options that keep the design: let the disputer supply the window (or have the oracle resolve N from the boundary timestamp, which the question already asks it to verify) and treat an oracle refusal as the proposer's loss; and/or clear the proposal on _refund so a corrected proposal can be made while the 3-day window is open, and reimburse the fee payer from the proposer bond when the failure is a refusal.

      State: chain 1, boundary B is an hourly boundary, block.timestamp = B + 27h + 1 (prove window closed, no price recorded), block.number = 27_000_000, Intake at 0xa43e...DE82 charges 0.5 IMD per question.

      1. attacker: oracle.propose(1, B, 123, 1) // firstBlock = 1, succeeds, 10 IMD bond pulled.

      2. honest bob: oracle.dispute(1, B, 1e18) pulls 11 IMD; two requests are sent with window 1..3.

      3. Intake calls oracle.onFailure(requests[0], 1, 0, 0, 0, '') (or never answers; then anyone calls timeout(1, B) at B + 3d).

      Actual: credit[attacker] = 10e18, credit[bob] = 10e18 (bob is out 1e18 that went to the Intake), price(1, B) == 0, and bob's subsequent oracle.propose(1, B, 2e18, 26_000_000) reverts InvalidState because proposals[id].proposer != 0.

      Every PimdMarkets market with start or end == B later settles Outcome.Refund.

      Expected: a proposal with an invalid window cannot block the boundary for free; the honest challenger is not charged for the proposer's refusal; a correct proposal remains possible inside the 3-day window.

      Verified with a scratch Foundry test using a mock Intake (test/scratch/Probe.t.sol, test_leadE_bogusFirstBlock).

    • mediumA market whose start-boundary price can no longer be recorded is still created and traded; it is guaranteed to void, so informed traders profit from counterparties at any price other than 1.0src/PimdMarkets.sol:211

      _ensure() creates a non-ladder market for any start whose end is still in the future. The strike is oracle.price(version, start), which can only be written by prove() within 27 h of start or by the propose/finalize path before start + 3 days.

      For daily, weekly, monthly and long custom periods the first order can arrive well after start + 3 days; if nobody recorded that boundary (no other market needed it), the strike is impossible for the market's whole life and _settle() will revert MissingPrice until end + 3 days and then set Outcome.Refund (UP redeems 1 USDC, DOWN redeems 1 IMD).

      Nothing in place/split/_ensure checks this, so the book runs normally, fees are charged and paid to the owner, and the stated rule 'Strike = price at start boundary' cannot hold. Because the void payoff is known in advance to anyone who reads price(version, start) == 0 and block.timestamp > start + 3 days, buying UP below 1.0 USDC (or selling DOWN) is risk-free profit taken from uninformed shorts, who pay 1 IMD + (1 - x) USDC and get back only 1 IMD.

      Minimal fix that preserves the design: in _ensure(), when spec.strike == 0 and the market does not exist yet, revert unless oracle.price(version, start) != 0 or block.timestamp <= start + 3 days (i.e. the strike is recorded or still recordable); optionally also refuse new orders in _place() once start + 3 days has passed without a strike.

      State: period 3 (calendar month), monthStart = 1798761600 (2027-01-01T00:00Z), monthEnd = 1801440000, block.timestamp = monthStart + 4 days, oracle.price(1, monthStart) == 0, some later boundary price recorded so fees compute.

      1. alice: place(MarketSpec(IMD, 3, monthStart, 0), BuyUp qty 10e6 at 0.5e6) -> market is created, order rests.

      2. bob: place(same spec, BuyDown qty 10e6 at 0.5e6) -> matches, 10 pairs minted; alice paid 5 USDC + fee, bob paid 10 IMD + 5 USDC + fee.

      3. warp to monthEnd, record price(1, monthEnd) = 2e18; settle(id) reverts MissingPrice.

      4. warp to monthEnd + 3 days: settle(id) sets Outcome.Refund; alice.claim(id, 10e6, 0) credits 10 USDC (net +4.96 USDC after fee), bob gets back only 10 IMD (net -5 USDC).

      Expected: a market with no recordable strike is not created (InvalidMarket), or at least accepts no orders.

      Verified with scratch test test/scratch/DeadStrike.t.sol (balances after: alice 1004.9625 USDC, bob 995 USDC).

    • lowResting orders may lock a zero fee budget, so book spam is free and every spam order consumes one matching step of each takersrc/PimdMarkets.sol:311

      _place() accepts feeBudget == 0 for a resting limit order. Such an order sorts at its price with normal FIFO priority but can never be filled: when it becomes the maker, _match() computes makerFee > 0 and closes it with reason 2 (lines 389-392), refunding all of its escrow.

      The spammer therefore pays only gas (the USD 1 minimum notional is returned on close), while each spam order at the best price costs an honest taker one of its at most 64 steps (and one fee computation, two SSTORE-heavy _close() writes) and, past 128 orders on a side, forces insertionHint on everyone else (InsertionHintRequired).

      With 64+ such orders ahead in the book an incoming limit order fills nothing and rests behind the remainder; a market order (immediateOrCancel) is cancelled with nothing done.

      Minimal fix: require at placement that the escrowed fee covers at least one fill as maker at the current boundary price (o.fee >= _fee(m, limitPrice, quantity, _price(m.version), false, down)), or charge a small non-refundable cost when an order is closed for fee shortfall.

      State: hourly market with recorded latest price 1e18, alice/bob/carol funded.

      1. carol: 70 times place(spec, BuyUp qty 2e6 at 0.5e6, feeBudget 0, expiry start+3600).

      2. bob: place(spec, BuyDown qty 10e6 at 0.5e6, feeBudget 100e18, maxSteps 64).

      Actual: bob's order has remaining == 10e6 (zero fills), 64 of carol's orders were closed with reason 2 and her USDC balance rose by 64_065_536 (full refund of escrow + reserve), bestBid is still carol's order 65; a bob market order (immediateOrCancel) would have been cancelled unfilled.

      Expected: an order that cannot pay the maker fee is rejected at placement, or spam has a cost.

      Verified with scratch test test/scratch/Probe.t.sol (test_leadB_zeroFeeSpam).

  8. Audit judgeAgent #96found 2 medium, 4 low

    I've written the review to .imd-findings.json. It holds 6 findings: 2 medium and 4 low, none critical or high. It also has 32 coverage rows: all 30 listed entry points plus two extra checks (collateral backing and the manifest). No repository files were changed. I deleted my scratch test folder afterwards, and git status is clean.

    Findings kept, each checked against the code:

    1. Medium: a fallback proposal can block its boundary for good (src/BoundaryOracle.sol:122). Three specialists reported this; it is merged into one. Each boundary allows only one proposal, and propose() does not check that the proposer's firstBlock matches the boundary. If a disputed proposal ends in the oracle failing or timing out, the proposer gets the full bond back, the challenger loses the oracle fee, and nobody can propose again. Every market starting or ending at that boundary then voids. The specialist's proof test fails on this code as described.
    2. Medium: markets whose start price can no longer be recorded are still created and traded (src/PimdMarkets.sol:211). Two reports merged, and I lowered one from high. Once the 27 h proof window and the 3-day proposal window have passed with no start price, the market is certain to void. Anyone who sees that can buy UP below 1 USDC and collect 1 USDC. It is medium rather than high because it costs other traders under specific conditions, not the protocol. The proof test fails on this code as described.
    3. Low: zero-fee resting orders (PimdMarkets.sol:311). Two reports merged. Orders that can never pay the maker fee are accepted. They sit at the top of the book and each one uses up a taker's matching step. Nothing is lost from balances.
    4. Low: placeWithProofs / claimWithProofs revert (PimdMarkets.sol:287) when someone else proved the attached boundary first, for example by front-running.
    5. Low: late proposals can barely be finalized (BoundaryOracle.sol:121). I lowered this from medium. A proposal made at the very end of the window leaves about one second to finalize it. But nobody else could have proposed at that point anyway, so the late proposer doesn't block anyone.
    6. Low: fallback answers lose precision (src/libraries/OracleRequest.sol:26). For very cheap assets the owner might add later, the oracle question rounds the answer down to 0, so a dispute can never resolve. The launch IMD route is not affected.

    Findings 1, 2 and 5 carry the specialists' Foundry proof tests, which I ran with forge test --match-path; all three fail on the current code for the stated reason. Findings 3, 4 and 6 have no runnable test. Their reproductions are traced through the code: the exact calls, inputs and the lines that cause the result.

    Dropped: the claim that the dispute winner is decided by an exact match with the oracle's value (e44014ba). The oracle's calculation is fully deterministic and documented, so an honest proposer can compute the exact value in advance. The specialist's 1-wei mismatch only happens if the proposer uses a different calculation.

    My own pass: I traced these and found no further defects:

    • the price proofs (header chain, the EIP-2935 block-hash check, account and storage proofs, decoding of the pool price);
    • the four ways two orders can match and their rounding, which always leave every pair backed by exactly 1 USDC + 1 IMD;
    • fee calculation and payouts;
    • the swap callback;
    • the registry;
    • the token.

    I also checked launch.json: its constructor arguments match the contracts, $owner is used for the owner roles, and all contracts are under the size limits.

    The static-analysis reentrancy warnings are calls to the project's own or fixed trusted contracts, behind reentrancy guards, so I reported none of them.

    • mediumOne fallback proposal per boundary, never reopened: a proposal with a bogus firstBlock ends in onFailure/timeout refund, consumes the slot for free, forces the boundary's markets to void and costs thesrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:122

      Merges three specialist reports with the same root cause (permissions 77f7ba83, math 384e5815, flow 7737a1f0). propose() (lines 119-124) allows one proposal per (version, boundary) for good (proposals[id].proposer != address(0)). It checks only firstBlock != 0 and firstBlock + 2 < block.number, so the proposer picks a window that has nothing to do with the boundary. OracleRequest.question puts that window into both questions and tells the panel 'refuse if false'.

      A dispute of such a proposal can only end in onFailure (status 1/2) or timeout. Both go to _refund (lines 304-314): the proposer gets the full 10 IMD back, the challenger gets its bond back but not the oracle cost it paid as feePayer (credit[p.feePayer] += p.cost only runs on a successful result, line 264), and the proposal is marked finished without being cleared.

      After that, propose() reverts for that boundary for the rest of its 3-day window, prove() has been closed since boundary + 27 h, and price[version][boundary] stays 0. PimdMarkets._settle (lines 613-617) then sets Outcome.Refund for every market that starts or ends at that boundary.

      Impact: whenever no proof landed within 27 h, which is the case the fallback exists for, any holder of a losing side can force a void for gas alone. In a market UP would win, the void pays DOWN 1 IMD per share instead of 0 and pays UP 1 USDC instead of 1 USDC + 1 IMD. The approved rule 'Dispute asks the IdentityMD oracle, its answer decides' cannot hold.

      Undisputed, the bogus proposal finalizes whatever price was proposed, so the proposer holds a free option. Minimal fix that keeps 'onFailure refunds both bonds': on _refund, delete the proposal (or mark it reopenable) so a new propose() can follow while block.timestamp + DISPUTE_WINDOW < boundary + TIMEOUT. Optionally forfeit the proposer's bond to the fee payer when the panel refuses the proposer's own window.

      Ran .imd/reads/proofs/Proof_77f7ba836413.t.sol with forge test --match-path.

      It fails with InvalidState() on the final propose.

      State: chainid 1, block 27_000_000, version 1, hourly boundary B = 1_800_000_000 with no price, block.timestamp = B + 27 h + 1, Intake etched at 0xa43e...de82 charging 0.5 IMD per question.

      1. attacker propose(1, B, 1, 1): accepted although block 1 cannot straddle B.

      2. challenger dispute(1, B, 1e18): two requests sent, 1 IMD paid to the Intake.

      3. Intake onFailure(requests[0], 1, ...) gives credit[attacker] = 10e18 and credit[challenger] = 10e18; the challenger's wallet is down 1e18.

      4. honest propose(1, B, 2000e18, 26_000_000) with more than 40 h of the propose window left.

      Expected: accepted.

      Actual: reverts InvalidState at line 122, so price(1, B) stays 0 and markets at B settle Refund at end + 3 days.

    • mediumA normal market whose start-boundary price can no longer be recorded is still created and traded; its void is certain, so informed buyers take the counterparty's USDCsrc/PimdMarkets.sol:211

      Merges economics bfbaf9e8 (reported high) and flow 174e6060 (medium). When ladderStrike == 0, the strike is oracle.price(version, start) (line 613).

      BoundaryOracle can record that price only through prove() up to start + 27 h, or through propose()/finalize(), which needs block.timestamp + 1 h < start + 3 d. _ensure (line 211) only checks that start is a period boundary, that end > now and that the ladder value is well formed. _place (lines 293-301) and split do not check the strike at all. So a weekly, monthly or custom-period market can be created, or keep trading, after start + 3 d - 1 h with price(version, start) == 0.

      From then on its settlement is guaranteed to be Outcome.Refund at end + 3 days (lines 615-617). The Refund branch of _claim (lines 661-663) pays UP 1 USDC and DOWN 1 IMD per share. Anyone who reads price(version, start) == 0 can buy UP at any x < 1 and collect 1 USDC from the DOWN buyer's (1 - x) USDC, and fees are still charged on these trades.

      This breaks the approved rule 'Strike = price at start boundary, no matter when orders come'. I rate it medium, not high: it is a loss under specific, observable conditions, not a protocol drain.

      Fix: when spec.strike == 0, revert in _ensure, and in _place/split for existing markets, if oracle.price(version, start) == 0 and block.timestamp + BoundaryOracle.DISPUTE_WINDOW >= start + BoundaryOracle.TIMEOUT (no proposal is open), or if start + PROOF_WINDOW has passed and no proposal can still record the strike.

      Ran .imd/reads/proofs/Proof_bfbaf9e87467.t.sol.

      It fails with 'a normal market whose start boundary can no longer be priced was created and traded'.

      State: registry with IMD version 1, an oracle stub where price(1, 1798761600) == 0 (the 2027-01-01 month start) and price(1, start + 3 d) = 1e18 for fees, block.timestamp = start + 4 days. alice place(MarketSpec(IMD, 3, 1798761600, 0), BuyUp 100e6 @ 10_000).

      Expected: revert InvalidMarket.

      Actual: the market is created. bob place(same, BuyDown 100e6 @ 10_000) mints 100 pairs.

      At end (1801440000) + 3 days, settle gives Refund. alice claim(100e6 up) receives +100 USDC after paying 1 USDC; bob claim(100e6 down) receives 100 IMD and 0 USDC, so the 99 USDC he paid goes to alice.

    • lowResting orders accept a fee budget that cannot pay one maker fill, so free unfillable orders sit at the top of the book and use up takers' match stepssrc/PimdMarkets.sol:311

      Merges economics 64954260 and flow ad0d4a3e. _place stores o.fee = input.feeBudget (line 311) without checking it against _fee(...) at the order's own price. The order gets full price/time priority. When it reaches the head as maker, _match closes it with reason 2 (lines 389-392) and refunds everything, but that close uses one of the taker's at most 64 steps.

      A spammer pays only gas: the minimum notional and the escrow come back. A real taker behind 64 such orders fills nothing (a market order is cancelled unfilled), and the site shows depth that cannot execute. Accounting is unaffected.

      Fix: at placement, require input.feeBudget >= _fee(m, limitPrice, quantity, _price(m.version), false, down), or the taker fee for IOC orders.

      Hourly IMD market with latest price 1e18. carol places 70 times BuyUp 2e6 @ 500_000 with feeBudget = 0 and expiry start + 3600; all accepted (nothing at lines 293-301 or 311 rejects them). bob places BuyDown 10e6 @ 500_000, immediateOrCancel, feeBudget 100e18, maxSteps 64.

      At each step, makerFee > 0 > maker.fee, so line 389 closes carol's order (reason 2, full refund) and continues.

      After 64 steps bob has 0 fills and his IOC is closed unfilled at line 344.

      Expected: orders with feeBudget 0 are refused at placement.

    • lowplaceWithProofs/claimWithProofs revert entirely when an attached boundary was proven first (front-run, or two first orders in one block)src/PimdMarkets.sol:287

      Permissions abbfc5e8. _prove calls oracle.prove for every attached proof, and BoundaryOracle.prove reverts InvalidState when price[version][boundary] != 0 (src/BoundaryOracle.sol:110). Proving is permissionless, so anyone can copy the proof calldata from a pending placeWithProofs/claimWithProofs and submit it first. Two users of the site can also attach the same proof by accident.

      The user's order or claim then reverts and their gas is lost, even though the price they needed is now recorded. This is griefing only: the user can resend without proofs.

      Fix: skip a proof when oracle.price(version, boundary) != 0.

      Boundary B (version 1) is unproven and within 27 h.

      User U sends placeWithProofs(spec with start B, input, [ProofSubmission(1, B, P)]).

      Another account mines oracle.prove(1, B, P) first; it is accepted.

      U's tx: _prove calls oracle.prove(1, B, P), line 110 sees price[1][B] != 0 and reverts InvalidState, so the whole placeWithProofs reverts.

      Expected: the order is placed using the recorded price. claimWithProofs(id, up, down, [ProofSubmission(1, end, P)]) behaves the same way.

    • lowA proposal accepted at the end of the propose window leaves a finalize window of about one secondsrc/BoundaryOracle.sol:121

      Economics 81a80a2f, recalibrated from medium. propose accepts block.timestamp up to boundary + TIMEOUT - DISPUTE_WINDOW - 1 and sets deadline = now + 1 h. finalize requires deadline <= now < boundary + TIMEOUT (lines 222-223), so the latest valid proposal can be finalized in exactly one second. A dispute of a late proposal has the same problem: the oracle must answer before boundary + TIMEOUT (line 241).

      If the window is missed, timeout() refunds the bond and the boundary stays unpriced. This is low, not medium: the specialist says the slot is 'burnt', but nobody else could propose at that time anyway (the propose window closes at the same moment), so a late proposer only loses a price that nobody had proposed in the previous ~44 h. The defect is that propose() accepts proposals that cannot realistically be finalized.

      Fix: require a finalize margin in propose (e.g. block.timestamp + DISPUTE_WINDOW + 1 hours < boundary + TIMEOUT), or let finalize of an unchallenged, expired proposal succeed after TIMEOUT.

      Ran .imd/reads/proofs/Proof_81a80a2f6f00.t.sol.

      It fails with 'an unchallenged proposal whose dispute window elapsed could not be finalized'.

      B = 1_800_000_000, block 27_000_000.

      At block.timestamp = B + 255599, propose(1, B, 123e16, 26_000_000) is accepted with deadline = B + 259199.

      At B + 259200, finalize(1, B) reverts InvalidState because block.timestamp >= boundary + TIMEOUT. timeout(1, B) then credits the 10 IMD back and price(1, B) == 0.

    • lowFallback per-hop question floors to currency1 atomic units per 1e18 currency0 units, so a hop priced below one atomic unit per 1e18 resolves to 0 and the dispute can never resolvesrc/libraries/OracleRequest.sol:26

      Math 1208b6d3. The fallback asks each hop for floor(sqrtPriceX96^2 * 1e18 / 2^192), a fixed base of 1e18 currency0 units whatever the asset's decimals. onOracleResult rejects answer == 0 (src/BoundaryOracle.sol:245). It also composes the floored answers, while the proof path composes full-precision ratios.

      For an owner-listed asset whose hop has currency0 = an 18-decimal token worth less than one currency1 atomic unit per whole token, every honest attestation reverts InvalidAnswer. The dispute can then end only in timeout, which voids the boundary's markets. Just above that price, the answer has 1-2 significant digits, so strike and close can compose to the same value and settle as Refund.

      The launch IMD route is not affected: its answers are about 1e24 IMD-wei per ETH and about 3e9 USDC per ETH. PimdRegistry._configure accepts such routes without a check.

      Fix: scale currency0 per hop (e.g. 10^(18+k) units), or reject such routes in configureAsset.

      Owner calls configureAsset(token X with 18 decimals and address < USDC, unitsPerShare 1e24, 1 hop (X, USDC)); it is accepted.

      X trades at $4e-7, so per 1e18 X atomic units the pool holds 0.4 USDC atomic units.

      The panel's univ4-spot answer is floor(0.4) = 0. onOracleResult decodes answer = 0 and reverts InvalidAnswer at BoundaryOracle.sol:245 for every valid attestation.

      Only timeout(version, B) at B + 3 d can close the dispute, so markets at B settle Refund.

      Expected: the question keeps enough precision that a nonzero price gives a nonzero answer.

  9. Build contract projectAgent #117311 files changed

    Both reopened findings reproduced on the starting tree and are fixed; all four advisory findings were real and are fixed as well. The reviewer's two proofs now pass, along with the full suite.

    What changed

    • Reopenable proposal slots (src/BoundaryOracle.sol). A refunded proposal, whether from an oracle failure or a timeout, no longer locks its boundary. A new proposal can follow while the proposal window is open, and the dead proposal's oracle requests are rejected if the Intake answers them late. Bonds on failure are still returned intact, as the proof asserts. The residual griefing cost, one oracle fee per refused round for the challenger, is documented, with the bond-forfeit alternative flagged as a requester policy choice.
    • Frozen doomed markets (src/PimdMarkets.sol). A new oracle view reports whether a boundary's price exists or can still be recorded. Normal markets check it for their start boundary on placement, split and permissionless matching, and revert once the void is certain. Cancel, merge, settle and claim still work. Only periods longer than 71 hours can reach that state.
    • Fee budget floor. An order's fee budget must cover its own full execution at its limit price, so free unfillable orders can no longer sit at the top of the book.
    • Proof skipping. Attached proofs for a boundary somebody already recorded are skipped instead of reverting the order or claim.
    • Late finalization. An unchallenged proposal is final any time after its hour, including after the three-day timeout. Timeout now applies only to disputed proposals.
    • Wider hop base. Fallback questions ask per 10^36 currency0 units instead of 10^18, so low-valued routes get nonzero, precise answers. The IMD route composes to the same price.

  10. ManifestAgent #1489no changes

    The accepted launch.json is correct as it stands, and this revision needs no change to it.

    What I verified

    • No findings came with this revision, so I checked the manifest against the accepted tree instead of guessing at a change.
    • Every constructor in launch.json matches both the source and the ABI exports in docs/abi: PimdRegistry takes the owner, BoundaryProofVerifier takes nothing, BoundaryOracle takes the registry and verifier, PimdSwap takes the registry, and PimdMarkets takes the owner, registry, oracle and swapper. The order is backward-referencing dependency order.
    • The token entry names LaunchToken with the name and symbol pIMD and 18 decimals, exactly as src/LaunchToken.sol sets them, with no constructor arguments.
    • The pool block carries the launch facts verbatim: IMD as paired currency in lowercase, fee 12500, tick spacing 60, and the one-to-one sqrt price.
    • The manifest has only the five schema keys, all names are unique and under 32 characters, and the notes are 1,870 characters.
    • Ownership flows only through $owner. No wallet is hard-coded and no initialization calls are described.

    Checks run

    • forge build succeeds.
    • forge test with the verifier's fuzz seed passes all 93 tests across 8 suites.
    • A scratch test in test/scratch deployed the token and the five contracts in manifest order with a fake factory as sender on an empty chain. The whole supply stayed with the factory, both owned contracts report the launch owner, and no application contract holds launch tokens.

    The working tree is clean. launch.json is unchanged from the accepted version, and no other file was touched.

  11. Write foundry testsAgent #11825 files changed

    The whole suite now passes with the verifier's fuzz seed: 173 tests, none failing. forge build also succeeds, with only lint notes. Only five files under test/ changed, and I didn't commit anything.

    Why tests broke. Since my last round, the implementation changed four rules on purpose, and four of my tests still expected the old behaviour:

    • An unchallenged proposal can no longer be timed out. It can still be finalized after the boundary's timeout.
    • A refunded proposal frees its slot, so someone can propose again.
    • A normal market whose start price can no longer be recorded refuses new pairs, orders and matching.
    • Placing an order now needs a recorded price, and the fee budget must cover the order's own fee.

    The README documents all four, so I updated the tests to match rather than treating the changes as defects.

    What changed in the tests:

    • OracleAdversarial.t.sol: I replaced the old timeout test and added failure-path tests:
      • Calling timeout on an unchallenged proposal reverts. It can still be finalized 30 days later, and only once.
      • A disputed proposal can't be timed out one second early, and after its timeout the boundary can never be priced.
      • A refunded slot reopens clean. Answers or failure notices from the old proposal's oracle requests are refused, both before and after the new dispute.
      • A live or recorded slot refuses another proposal.
      • priceable is checked at each window edge and fuzzed against what a proposer can actually still do.
    • OracleBondInvariant.t.sol: the random-sequence handler now re-proposes refunded slots and finalizes late proposals. It expects timeout to revert on unchallenged ones and closes each open proposal the right way at the end of a run. The bond accounting invariants are unchanged, and a new unit test drives the reopen path explicitly.
    • MarketLifecycleInvariant.t.sol: split on a market whose start price can no longer exist must revert InvalidMarket. The handler test now hits that case.
    • ProofTradingIntegration.t.sol: the rollback test now first records an earlier boundary's price, so the resting bid can be placed while the boundary under test stays unproven. New tests cover:
      • placing with no recorded price reverts MissingPrice, and attaching a proof makes it work;
      • a proof someone else already recorded is skipped, not reverted;
      • a fee budget one unit below feeQuote is refused for both resting and immediate orders.
    • test/PROPERTIES.md describes the changes above.

    Findings: I found no defects, so there is no .imd-findings.json. One thing operators should know, which follows the brief's own void rule: settling a market doesn't finalize a pending proposal. If nobody finalizes an unchallenged proposal for a market's end boundary before end + 3 days, anyone can void the market first. I recorded this in PROPERTIES.md.

  12. Audit judgeAgent #178found nothing

    The findings file is valid (0 findings, 30 coverage rows covering all 30 entry points — 100%). The scratch tests are cleaned up, and the only untracked files are environment files I didn't create. No project files were modified.

    Summary

    This was a settle-round review. I confirmed each of my prior findings against the revised code by running the attached proofs and reading the fix:

    Both previously-blocking mediums are fixed:

    • 60258d46 (refunded proposal slot reuse) — propose() now blocks only a live proposal (proposer != 0 && !finished, line 135) and deletes a refunded slot (line 138), so an honest re-proposal follows a failed/timed-out one while the window is open. _refund marks all three requests non-pending, so stale onOracleResult/onFailure callbacks revert InvalidState and cannot touch the new proposal. Proof Proof_60258d46e1f8 now passes.
    • 6352e19c (doomed market traded) — BoundaryOracle.priceable() was added, and PimdMarkets gates _place, split and matchMarket through _requireStrikeObtainable (lines 244/312/370), reverting InvalidMarket once a normal market's start price can no longer exist. Proof Proof_6352e19c1da6 passes.

    All four advisory lows are fixed:

    • 097a0 (free unfillable orders) — _place now requires feeBudget >= floor (line 318).
    • 79489 (proof front-run revert) — _prove skips already-recorded boundaries (line 296).
    • 6b3bb3 (one-second finalize window) — finalize dropped the < boundary+TIMEOUT bound, timeout now requires a challenger. Proof Proof_81a80a2f6f00 passes.
    • 6441cf (low-value-hop precision) — OracleRequest.HOP_BASE = 1e36 with matching composition in onOracleResult.

    The fresh senior-auditor pass over the changed and surrounding code (re-propose/stale-callback interaction, priceable edge cases, swap callback authentication, registry gating, settlement/claim payout) found no new reproducible defect. The findings list is empty, with a full coverage record for all 30 entry points.

  15. Design criticAgent #1765found 1 medium, 2 low

    I found 3 issues: 2 medium-or-lower bugs and 1 low taste note. None is high. Every brief requirement the build can deliver is met. The deployment config, contract addresses and ABIs match the handoff, and the taste@1 probe passed all 16 checks. The findings are in .imd-findings.json; no tracked files were changed.

    What I couldn't check:

    • Safari (WebKit): it would not start on this machine because a system library (libevent-2.1.so.7) is missing. Everything below is from Chromium only.
    • Live chain data: in my own browser run the public RPCs were blocked by CORS (curl confirms both hosts send the CORS headers, so it looks local). I passed their requests through Node to the same public endpoints, and the page then read the live chain.
    • Wallet steps: I have no wallet, so nothing that needs connecting or signing was tried.

    Requirements

    • "Bet UP or DOWN on IMD. Fully onchain." banner: met, market.tsx:304.
    • Left menu by period: met. It is a sidebar on desktop and a select at 390.
    • IMD live, and pIMD/YOLO/FWA/INFER/IMDSTR/HIVE/OG marked Soon with the holders-vote line: met, sidebar.
    • Market cards like Polymarket: met, the "Find your timeframe" cards.
    • Price To Beat, Current Price, countdown: met. Live run showed $2.70254 and 00:42:50.
    • Chart with Target line, Past/now/next, book, rules: met, the Chart / Order book / Rules / Resolution tabs.
    • Coin / $ / % price toggle: met.
    • Buy/Sell, Market/Limit, limit price, shares, expiry, total, to win, estimated payout, fees popup, swap cost: met, market.tsx:652-1177.
    • Pay Down with IMD only, with the 5% buffer: met, market.tsx:993.
    • Future market shows an estimated price to beat: met, market.tsx:390.
    • Split and Merge: met.
    • Ended market shows the result and Claim: met, resolution.tsx.
    • Portfolio with stats, balance, positions, open orders and Claim all: met, portfolio.tsx:428.
    • Leaderboard by PnL with filters and sortable columns, built from contract events: met, pages.tsx:168-176. It shows no sample rankings.
    • Docs and tokenomics 50/35/10/5: met, token.tsx:388.
    • Logo (bold p, green over red) and favicon: met.
    • Light/dark toggle: met.
    • 390 and desktop layouts, no console errors: met. The probe found no horizontal scroll or overlap.
    • Wallets: met for EIP-6963 and Coinbase.
    • WalletConnect: needs the requester: a WalletConnect project ID. The site says plainly "No WalletConnect relay is configured", so this is not faked.
    • Static export with dist/imd-deployment.json loaded at runtime: met.
    • Deployment handoff copied exactly: met. The contracts, addresses, abiHash values, poolKey, sourceCommit, attestationHash, network and walletAddChain all match the handoff and network.json.
    • Asset hashes: met. All 18 files hash correctly; the export is 1.6 MB.
    • Hosting and IPFS: after review.

    The idea in one sentence: a Polymarket-style Up/Down trading desk for IMD, carried by one green/red split for Up and Down that runs from the logo to the outcome buttons.

    Findings

    1. Medium, bug: before the schedule loads, or after the RPC fails, the market header shows a green "Open" status and a countdown of "00:00:00". That says the market is open and has no time left at once. While loading it should show a neutral status and "–" for the countdown (web/src/market.tsx:383, :231).
    2. Low, bug: when the RPC fails, the "Find your timeframe" heading shows over an empty grid. The section should only render when there are periods to show (web/src/market.tsx:576).
    3. Low, taste: the headline "Take a position." could belo

    • mediumbug: the market header claims "Open" and a 00:00:00 countdown before the onchain schedule is knownweb/src/market.tsx:383

      Now: while the schedule is still loading, or after the RPC fails, the header shows the subtitle "Loading onchain schedule…" next to a green live dot and "Open". The countdown at market.tsx:231 reads "00:00:00" because end is 0n, so remaining clamps to 0. That is a closed-looking timer beside an "Open" badge.

      Change to: when start/end are 0n, render the status as "Loading" with no live dot, and render the countdown as the same "–" placeholder Price to beat already uses (const countdown = end === 0n ? "–" : ended ? ...).

      Why: each state should say only what the app knows. A market that shows Open with zero time left contradicts itself, and the brief asks for a countdown on the market page.

      Width 390 and 1440.

      Serve dist/, then block or fail ethereum-rpc.publicnode.com and eth.drpc.org (the taste probe does this).

      Load /.

      Measured: the header reads "IMD Up or Down / Loading onchain schedule…", the status reads "Open" with a green dot, and Time remaining reads "00:00:00" (test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png and 1440.png).

      Expected: a neutral loading status and a "–" countdown.

      With the RPC reachable, the same view correctly shows "6 Nov, 22:00 – 6 Nov, 23:00 UTC" and "00:42:50".

    • lowbug: "Find your timeframe" renders a heading over an empty grid when the periods fail to loadweb/src/market.tsx:576

      Now: data.periods is empty after an RPC failure, so the section prints the heading and the caption "Same asset. A different view." above a blank ~40px gap.

      Change to: render <section className="more-markets"> only when data.periods.length > 0 (wrap it in {data.periods.length > 0 && ( ... )}), so the risk note moves up under the trade area.

      Why: a heading with nothing under it is a hole, and the connection banner already explains the failure.

      Width 1440.

      Serve dist/ with both RPC hosts failing (the taste probe), load /, scroll to the bottom.

      Measured in test/scratch/taste/shots/1440-full.png: "Find your timeframe" at y≈1060 with no cards below it, followed directly by the risk note at y≈1125.

      With a live RPC, four cards (Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly) render correctly.

    • lowtaste: the hero headline "Take a position." is generic while the brief's own banner line sits under itweb/src/market.tsx:303

      Now: the h1 reads "Take a position.", which could belong to any trading site, and the brief's banner "Bet UP or DOWN on IMD. Fully onchain." is the smaller line under it, wrapped onto two lines at 390.

      Change to: Bet UP or DOWN on IMD. and Fully onchain. Every pair is backed by 1 USDC + 1 IMD. (the backing is stated in the brief and in the page's own risk note).

      Why: the headline should belong only to this product and state its main action plainly, and the brief names this banner.

      Width 390.

      Load /.

      Measured: the h1 "Take a position." is at the top of the first screen, with "Bet UP or DOWN on IMD. / Fully onchain." below it in 16px muted text (test/scratch/pw/chromium-home-full.png, test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png).
