Build on the existing GitHub project to create a polished Squeekchain-themed browser game arcade. Number Slide is the first game; the structure should make it easy to add more games later.

Pages

  • Lobby: Introduce the arcade and show available games, starting with Number Slide.
  • Number Slide: Provide playable timed puzzles with move limits, clear instructions, difficulty progression, and a results screen showing score, time, and moves.
  • Leaderboard: Rank players by score and best time. Let players connect a wallet to save and identify their scores, while keeping wallet connection optional for playing. Preserve and improve the existing project’s dark, neon, pixel-dotted visual style. Make all game controls, navigation, and wallet connection work on desktop and mobile. Game points are scores only, not tokens or financial rewards. Do not claim Squeekchain smart-contract integration unless it is actually implemented.

Deliver a working site based on the supplied repository, including any backend needed to save scores and display the leaderboard. Explain any external service or configuration required to run it.

Saved five medium findings in .imd-findings.json:

    • bug: a swipe from the empty cell consumes the next tile click.
    • bug: arrow keys move the puzzle behind the wallet dialog.
    • bug: browser-only score saves ignore the entered display name.
    • accessibility: closing the wallet dialog loses keyboard focus.
    • taste: the lobby headline repeats the brand without a game hook.

Each finding includes an exact source snippet, reproduction, measured evidence, and proposed change. Application files remain unchanged.

The visual idea is a browser puzzle arcade carried by glowing pixel tiles against a dark dotted field.

Checked Chromium and WebKit; all six existing tests and TypeScript checking passed. Wallet testing used a disposable injected provider; real mobile-wallet handoffs remain unverified. Shared scores require the supplied Node server; the static configuration clearly identifies browser-only storage.

    • mediumbug: saving a local score ignores the entered display namesrc/scores/store.ts:32

Now: the result form accepts a display name, but claimLocalRun updates only player; the run keeps the name captured before the form was shown.

Change to: pass the cleaned form name into claimLocalRun and update both player and name on the matching run in both save paths.

Why: the optional display-name control should identify the score just saved, including the explicitly supported browser-only mode.

At 390×844 (also 320×844), serve the supplied static dist/ with its default scoresApi="".

In a fresh browser, connect an injected test wallet, complete level 1, enter PixelMouse under Display name, click Save score, then open Leaderboard.

Actual: the success message appears but the Player column shows only the wallet address; sqa.name.v1 is "PixelMouse" while sqa.runs.v1[0].name remains "".

Expected: PixelMouse beside the connected address for that run.

Reproduced using seed 123, initial board [0,3,6,2,1,4,7,5,8], and zero-based tapped indexes [3,4,5,2,1,0,3,4,7,8].

The signed shared-server path does show the entered name.

Repeated at 390×844 in WebKit with the same missing display name.

    • mediumbug: arrow keys play the puzzle behind the wallet dialogsrc/games/number-slide/NumberSlide.tsx:168

Now: the window keydown handler handles arrows when the Connect sheet is open and the game shell is inert.

Change to: return before preventDefault/tap whenever the game shell is inert or the key event comes from the wallet dialog.

Why: wallet navigation must not silently spend moves or start a timed puzzle hidden under a modal.

At 390×844 in Chromium, open Number Slide, start level 1, and open the header Connect sheet before moving.

With Close focused, press an arrow toward a legal tile (for seed 123, initial board [0,3,6,2,1,4,7,5,8], press ArrowLeft).

Actual: dialog stays visible, board becomes [3,0,6,2,1,4,7,5,8], Moves left changes from 30 to 29 and the clock starts.

Expected: board and move count remain unchanged while the modal has keyboard focus.

Repeated at 390×844 in WebKit with the identical board transition and 30→29 move-counter change.

    • mediumbug: a swipe from the empty cell consumes the next tile clicksrc/games/number-slide/NumberSlide.tsx:187

Now: every recognized swipe sets suppressClick, but it is cleared only by a tile click. A swipe beginning on the empty div generates no tile click, so a later deliberate tap is discarded while the timer keeps running.

Change to: reset suppressClick.current to false at the beginning of onPointerDown, then set it only for the current swipe so suppression cannot carry into the next gesture.

Why: the brief requires working mobile game controls; a legal tap after a swipe must move the tile immediately.

At 390×844 in Chromium, start level 1 with a browser init fixture returning seed 123 for the single-element Uint32Array seed request (board [0,3,6,2,1,4,7,5,8]).

Drag 50px left from the centre of the top-left empty cell, keeping both ends inside the board.

The board becomes [3,0,6,2,1,4,7,5,8] and Moves left becomes 29.

Click the now-movable tile 3 in the top-left.

Actual: this first click leaves the board and count at 29; a second click moves it back and changes the count to 28.

Expected: the first deliberate tile click after the drag should move it back immediately.

Also reproduced at 390×844 with native CDP touchStart/touchMove/touchEnd swipes: no tile click is emitted for the swipe, and the first later generated tile click is consumed by lines 243–245 while the timer runs.

    • mediumaccessibility: closing the wallet sheet loses the keyboard focussrc/wallet/ConnectSheet.tsx:22

Now: close() tries to focus the Connect opener while #shell is still inert; unmounting the sheet then leaves focus on the document body.

Change to: remove the shell inert attribute before restoring opener.current.focus(), or restore focus in the sheet cleanup immediately after removing inert.

Why: keyboard visitors should return to the wallet control they opened, so navigation and wallet connection remain usable.

At 390×844 or 1440×900 in Chromium, load the lobby, focus the header Connect button, press Enter, then Escape.

While open, document.activeElement is the Close button.

After closing, document.activeElement.tagName is BODY instead of the header Connect button; #shell no longer has inert.

Repeated at 320, 390 and 1440 widths in Chromium and at 390 in WebKit.

Expected focus to return to Connect.

    • mediumtaste: the lobby headline repeats the brand without a game hooksrc/pages/Lobby.tsx:22

Now: the hero repeats the header name, Squeekchain Arcade, and follows it with two explanatory sentences. It identifies the site but gives the arcade landing page no memorable invitation to play.

Change to: replace the h1 with "Slide into Squeekchain." and the lead with "Play Number Slide in your browser and climb the leaderboard." Keep the existing type, glow and Play action; the shorter lead lets both actions move up.

Why: the supplied marketing-copy bar calls for a catchy headline of six words or fewer paired with one plain sentence explaining the product.

At 390×844, load the lobby at #/.

The header brand and #hero-title both read Squeekchain Arcade.

The measured h1 is 32px at x=16, y=133, height=36.8px; the 15-word, two-sentence lead occupies three lines (83.7px tall), and Play begins at y=285.5.

At 1440×900 the same duplicated brand heads the hero.

Confirmed in the rendered screenshots and the taste.json text measurements; this is an editorial finding, not a failed automated check.
