Goblin Gold NFT mint on Ethereum mainnet. NO SOURCE CHANGES.

Source: this repository at the given commit, built with its foundry.toml: solc 0.8.26, optimizer 200, cancun, via_ir false, bytecode_hash none.

Deploy ONLY GoblinNFT (GoblinArt is an internal library compiled into it) in ONE evm_contracts launch at index 0. Return its address and the launch number.

Constructor words: [0] GoblinNFT ["0xA7e99BB7155D7477E0C838E201b16E62B9c0b5Ac"]. The owner is the project wallet, not a protocol address and not the factory.

Scope: review GoblinNFT and GoblinArt only. BagGacha, GenesisVault, Curator, TwapOracle, POLManager and OracleAttestation are NOT deployed in this launch; they are separate later launches and their findings must not block this one.

What it does: 10,000 Goblins at 0.001 ETH, max 20 per wallet, mint opens at deploy. Full refund of mint ETH until sellout, during every 7-day review after setLaunchTargets, and again 90 days after sellout until release. release() splits mint ETH 50/40/10 to the three reviewed destinations, which pull with claimRelease(). Holders earn revenue deposited at any time (depositRevenue), claimable per token; transfers carry unpaid revenue. The owner can only set launch targets before release (each call restarts the 7-day review) and renounce after release; no withdrawal, pause, mint-rescue, metadata or upgrade power.

Accepted (do not change source): the owner chooses the three release destinations, mitigated by the mandatory 7-day refund review on every change; code-size checks prove destinations are contracts, not that they are safe, so holders must inspect them; burned or zero-supply revenue dust is retained and logged; on-chain art and metadata are fixed.

Work

  1. Posted7 minto the first attempt
  2. Audit imported codeAgent #595found 1 low, 4 info

The review is complete. The findings file is in place at the repository root, the working tree is otherwise clean, and no source file was changed.

Verdict: no critical, high or medium defect in GoblinNFT or GoblinArt. One low finding and four informational entries are recorded in .imd-findings.json.

Contracts read: GoblinNFT and GoblinArt in full, plus the vendored OpenZeppelin 5.1 ERC721, Ownable, ReentrancyGuard, Base64 and Strings they use, the README, the implementation report, and the four existing GoblinNFT test files. Not reviewed, per scope: BagGacha, GenesisVault, Curator, TwapOracle, POLManager, OracleAttestation and TickMath. Slither and the fork tests were not run.

What was checked and held up:

    • ETH conservation across mint, refund, refund-then-remint before sellout, refunds during review, release and revenue. The balance always equals live escrow plus unclaimed and retained revenue.
    • All three ETH sends happen after effects and under one shared reentrancy guard. OZ 5 mint and burn have no hooks.
    • Per-token revenue accumulator rounds to whole wei and retains every remainder. Duplicate token IDs in one claim cannot pay twice.
    • Only two owner-gated functions exist. The constructor takes one address, makes no external call and rejects a zero owner.
    • Compiled runtime is 20,352 bytes with no DELEGATECALL, CALLCODE or SELFDESTRUCT, scanned with the same loop the protected harness uses. tokenURI costs about 0.56M gas.
    • The existing 27 GoblinNFT tests pass under the repository toolchain.

    Findings recorded:

    • Low. If the owner sets targets during the mint phase and sellout comes more than seven days later, the review window is already spent. In the sellout transaction refunds close and anyone, including the final minter, can call release at once. The README promises a review after sellout, and this edge is untested. Reproduced in a scratch test. Suggested minimal fix: require seven days past sellout in release and keep refunds open for that period.
    • Info. refund pays only the mint price and sends the token's whole pending revenue to retained revenue forever. Accepted by the brief, but a frontend must claim first.
    • Info. Owner trust assumptions: targets are configured after deployment, the owner can postpone release indefinitely by re-setting targets, and single-step transferOwnership is still available. Holders keep their refund exit throughout.
    • Info. The reveal seed is one proposer's blockhash. Accepted as cosmetic.
    • Info. Coverage statement listing what was read, what was run and what was out of scope.

For the adapter: the manifest should carry the static owner address from the brief rather than the owner placeholder, since the brief names the wallet explicitly.

    • lowSeven-day review can elapse entirely before sellout, so release() is callable in the sellout block with no post-sellout refund windowsrc/GoblinNFT.sol:219

release() only requires soldOut, targetsSet and targetsSetAt + 7 days <= block.timestamp. refundsOpen() returns true for the whole mint phase regardless of targets, and after sellout only while block.timestamp < targetsSetAt + 7 days. The README's own deployment plan is to call setLaunchTargets as soon as the later gacha/POL contracts exist, which is expected to be during the mint phase.

If sellout happens more than 7 days after that call, the review window has already been consumed by the mint phase: in the very transaction that sells out, refundsOpen() flips to false and release() becomes callable by anyone, including the wallet that minted the last tokens.

Holders who minted in the final days therefore never get the post-sellout review described in README ('After sellout and the seven-day review, anyone calls release()') and the brief ('expose the full seven-day refund review before release'). No ETH is lost and the targets were public during the mint, so this is a weakened guarantee rather than a theft path.

Minimal fix that preserves the design: in release(), also require block.timestamp >= soldOutAt + TARGET_REVIEW_PERIOD, and make refundsOpen() return true while block.timestamp < soldOutAt + TARGET_REVIEW_PERIOD, so every sellout is followed by at least one full review of the current targets. This edge is not covered by the existing test suite (testSelloutLocksRefundsAndRelease sets targets after sellout).

      1. Deploy GoblinNFT(owner).

      2. owner calls setLaunchTargets(c, c, c) with any contract c at t0.

      3. warp to t0 + 8 days with 9,980 tokens minted by 499 wallets.

      4. Wallet L mints 20 tokens (sold out; soldOutAt = now).

Expected per README: refunds stay open for a 7-day review after sellout and release() reverts ReviewPending until then.

Actual: in the same block, refundsOpen() == false, nft.release() succeeds (released == true), and L's refund(9981) reverts RefundsClosed.

Verified with a scratch Foundry test on this commit.

    • inforefund() forfeits a token's entire unclaimed revenue to retainedRevenue (accepted; document for holders and the frontend)src/GoblinNFT.sol:132

refund() pays exactly PRICE and moves all of the token's pending revenue (not only division dust) into retainedRevenue, which nobody can ever withdraw. The brief accepts retained burned-token revenue and the README tells holders to claim first, so no source change is requested.

It is recorded here because the amount can be large relative to the 0.001 ETH refund once BagGacha.flush() has deposited revenue, and a refund UI that does not call claimRevenue first will cost holders money.

      Mint 1 token for 0.001 ETH as A; anyone calls depositRevenue{value: 1 ether}(); pendingRevenue(1) == 1 ether.

      A calls refund(1) without claiming.

Expected by a naive holder: 1.001 ETH back.

Actual: A receives 0.001 ETH, retainedRevenue == 1 ether and the 1 ETH is locked in the contract forever.

Verified with a scratch Foundry test.

    • infoOwner trust assumptions: post-deployment target configuration, indefinite release delay, and transferOwnership remain availablesrc/GoblinNFT.sol:197

Documented for the adapter and the panel, not as a defect: the brief explicitly accepts that the owner names the three release destinations after deployment.

Powers that follow from the code as written: (a) the owner may call setLaunchTargets any number of times before release, each call restarting the 7-day review, so the owner can postpone release() indefinitely (holders keep their refund exit throughout, and the 90-day fallback also keeps refunds open); (b) the code-size check only proves a destination has code at call time, so a proxy or self-modifying target can change behaviour after the review ends; (c) Ownable.transferOwnership (single-step, OZ 5.1) is not overridden, so the owner can hand these powers to another address at any time, which the brief's 'only set launch targets and renounce' wording does not mention; (d) the owner cannot withdraw, pause, rescue, change metadata or upgrade, which was confirmed by reading every external function.

The constructor takes the owner as an argument and makes no external call, so the empty-chain rehearsal passes; the manifest must carry the static project wallet 0xA7e99BB7155D7477E0C838E201b16E62B9c0b5Ac, not msg.sender.

After sellout with targets set to contract c: owner repeats setLaunchTargets(c,c,c) every 6 days; each time release() reverts ReviewPending and refundsOpen() is true; release never becomes callable while the owner keeps doing this. Verified with a scratch Foundry test (5 iterations).

    • infoReveal seed is a single blockhash chosen by one proposer (accepted: cosmetic rarity only)src/GoblinNFT.sol:149

seed = keccak256(blockhash(selloutBlock + 1), address(this)). The proposer of that block, or whoever re-arms after 256 blocks, can bias which tokens are Legendary. The brief and README state rarity is cosmetic and no payout depends on it; GoblinArt.traitsOf is deterministic given the seed and every trait index stays within its name/colour table bounds (checked: slots 0-8 for traits, bytes 9-10 for rarity, _pick maps a byte onto [0,n) exactly).

      No change requested.

      Sell out in block N.

The builder of block N+1 computes keccak256(abi.encode(candidateHash, nft)) for candidate blocks and only publishes one whose GoblinArt.traitsOf(seed, id).rarity == 4 for an id they hold.

      Expected: unbiasable rarity.

Actual: rarity biased for the cost of a block's content choice.

Not economically exploitable because nothing pays on rarity.

    • infoCoverage: contracts read, checks run, and what was not reachedsrc/GoblinNFT.sol:17

Read in full: src/GoblinNFT.sol (294 lines) and src/GoblinArt.sol (235 lines), plus the vendored OpenZeppelin 5.1 ERC721, Ownable, ReentrancyGuard, Base64 and Strings they inherit or use, README.md, report.md, and the existing tests test/GoblinNFT.t.sol, test/GoblinNFTV2.t.sol, test/GoblinNFT.invariant.t.sol and test/GoblinEscrow.invariant.t.sol (27 tests, all pass on this commit under the repository foundry.toml).

Checks performed: every external/public state-changing entry point enumerated (mint, refund, reveal, setLaunchTargets, renounceOwnership, release, claimRelease, depositRevenue, claimRevenue, inherited ERC721 transfer/approval functions); ETH conservation (balance == liveSupply*PRICE + totalRevenueDeposited - totalRevenueClaimed before release, and polOwed+reserveOwed+vrfOwed + revenue after) traced through every path including refund-then-remint before sellout and refunds during review; reentrancy (all ETH sends are after effects and under one shared nonReentrant guard; OZ 5 ERC721 _mint/_burn have no hooks); rounding (whole-wei per-token accumulator, remainder retained, no path gifts dust); access control (only setLaunchTargets and renounceOwnership are owner-gated); constructor (one address argument, no external call, reverts on zero owner); compiled runtime 20,352 bytes under EIP-170 with no DELEGATECALL, CALLCODE or SELFDESTRUCT opcodes, scanned with the same loop as the protected harness; tokenURI costs about 0.56M gas per call, well within eth_call limits.

Not reviewed, by the assignment's scope: BagGacha, GenesisVault, Curator, TwapOracle, POLManager, OracleAttestation and TickMath.

Not run: Slither/Mythril (not installed) and the fork tests (no network RPC used). No critical, high or medium defect was found in GoblinNFT or GoblinArt.

Not a defect. forge test --match-path 'test/GoblinNFT*.sol' passes 27/27; a scratch test scanning address(nft).code for 0xf2/0xf4/0xff outside PUSH data finds none and asserts code.length <= 24576.
