Keep the current look, structure and every on-chain feature. Six changes.

  1. FIX THE CRITIC'S FINDINGS: a reverted or cancelled oracle payment must show the failed receipt and restore the Buy button (OraclePurchase.tsx:193); an invalid window lookup must show the error and a "Back to next open window" link instead of "Reading pool…" (Bet.tsx:89); with a single detected wallet, Connect connects in one tap (Wallet.tsx:75); primary buttons dark fill with 1 px neon border and glow on hover, secondary text #5a8f63 (styles.css:24). Remove the stray line "Bet RUNNING: at least one pass" from How it works.

  2. LIVE OR SLEEPING, through our proxy. The site may not call squeekchain.com directly (CORS). Use the proxy at https://hamster-hour.hamsterhour562.workers.dev: GET /live mirrors media.squeekchain.com/live/current.json, GET /status mirrors api.squeekchain.com/v1/status. Poll /live every 20 s. If state is "live" and playback.kind is "youtube", embed https://www.youtube.com/embed/?autoplay=1&mute=1 and switch when publicId changes. Otherwise show a SLEEPING screen in the same 16:9 slot: dark background, the pixel mascot curled up, drifting "zzz", the text "HAMSTER IS SLEEPING · stream is off", and the last known passes from /status (measurement.speedMmPerSecond and cumulativeWorkUnits). If the proxy fails, fall back to the embed of the channel's last known stream id and never show a blank box. Show a small badge over the player: "LIVE" green or "SLEEPING" dim.

  3. WALLET CHAT. A chat panel beside the stream on desktop (right column) and below the buttons on mobile, titled "Wheel chat". Endpoint https://hamster-hour.hamsterhour562.workers.dev/chat. GET /chat?since= returns {messages:[{id,address,message,ts}],now}; poll every 5 s, append new ones, keep the last 200, autoscroll unless the user scrolled up. POST /chat with JSON {address, message, signature, ts} where ts = Date.now() and signature = personal_sign (EIP-191) of the exact string "Hamster Hour chat\n" + ts + "\n" + message from the connected wallet. Max 200 chars, no links, 1 message per 5 s; surface server errors in plain words ("slow down", "no links"). Show sender as 0xab12…cd34 with an identicon-style pixel color, and a small "bet" tag next to wallets that have a position in the current or next window (read from the contract). Not connected: read-only with a "Connect to chat" button. Messages are user content: escape everything, no markdown, no HTML.

  4. MEME LAYER.

  • "Poke the hamster" button under the player: squeak sound (short synthesized beep, no external file) and the mascot hops; a local counter "poked N times" per visitor.
  • Hamster mood in the header from /status: "sleeping" at zero speed, "stretching" below 30% of the line pace, "zoomies" above the line pace, "villain era" when the current window is above 2× the line.
  • Losing result card: the chewing hamster video from the intro plays small with "you fed the hamster" and, until the token exists, "$HAMSTER mining coming soon"; a "share my L" button opens an X intent with the window number and passes.
  • Winning result card: pixel sunflower-seed confetti, the goggled mascot gives a thumbs up, "share my W" button.
  • When the wheel is sleeping the whole page dims 10% and "zzz" drift over the player; when it goes live, a one-time green pulse and a 3 s "HE'S RUNNING" banner.
  • Easter eggs: 10 clicks on the logo put black sunglasses on the mascot ("deal with it"); the Konami code spins the page one full turn like a wheel.
  • Jackpot digits animate like a slot machine when the value changes. All of it client-side, respect prefers-reduced-motion, no console errors.

  1. COPY. Under the line add a tooltip "passes = wheel turns, about 21 cm each". On the EXACT screen add one line: "Closest three guesses share the pool. The jackpot pays only if the closest guess is within 2% of the result." Under the countdown: "Betting on window N · starts in MM:SS · result about 1 h after start".

  2. Keep everything live and real, mobile first at 375, desktop at 1440, no horizontal scroll, zero console errors.

ACCEPTANCE: at 375 and 1440, /live state idle shows the SLEEPING screen and state live shows the YouTube embed; a chat message posted from a connected wallet appears within 5 s for a second visitor; the poke button and both result cards work; critic's four findings closed.

    • Critic's four findings closed. A reverted or cancelled oracle payment now clears the saved purchase, shows a "View failed receipt" link and restores the Buy button. An invalid window lookup shows the decoded contract error with a "Back to next open window" control instead of "Reading pool…". One detected browser wallet connects in a single tap. Primary buttons are dark with a 1 px neon border and hover glow, secondary text is #5a8f63. The stray RUNNING line is gone from How it works; RUNNING stays reachable via a switch inside the SLEEPING sheet so no on-chain feature was lost.
    • Live or sleeping through the proxy. /live polled every 20 s, YouTube embed when live (switches on publicId change), otherwise a 16:9 SLEEPING screen with the curled mascot, drifting zzz, the requested text and last known speed and passes from /status. Proxy failure falls back to the last known stream id. LIVE/SLEEPING badge over the player.
    • Wheel chat with 5 s polling, 200-message cap, autoscroll logic, EIP-191 signed posts, client rules and plain-word server errors, identicons, a "bet" tag read from position(), and read-only mode with "Connect to chat".
    • Meme layer: poke button with synthesized squeak and local counter, header mood, losing card with the chewing video and "share my L", winning card with seed confetti, thumbs-up mascot and "share my W", page dim while sleeping, green pulse and 3 s "HE'S RUNNING" banner, sunglasses after ten logo clicks, Konami spin, slot-machine digits. All respect reduced motion.
    • Copy: passes tooltip, the EXACT line, and the window/countdown line.

    Two things to flag

    1. The requested EXACT sentence about a 2% jackpot condition is shipped verbatim, but the deployed contract has no such rule: the closest tier always shares the jackpot. The copy understates payouts. This is recorded in docs/frontend/VALIDATION.md.
    2. The worker's CORS allowlist only admits the production site origin and http://localhost:5173. Any other hosting origin, such as an IPFS gateway, gets the fallback embed and CORS console errors until the requester extends the allowlist.

    Live stream playback, the live transition and the result cards were exercised with fixtures because the real wheel was idle and mainnet has no settled funded window. Nothing was committed; the working tree holds the full submission with no dependency directories.

    Validation documentation records the five existing design-probe exceptions and unavailable WebKit libraries. Protected files remain unchanged.
