Build and deploy SqueekCity: The Wheel Life, a fully playable autonomous hamster civilization simulator for Squeekchain Genesis Code. Build a REAL interactive game, not a static map, dashboard or mockup.

REFERENCES: https://squeekchain.com/genesis/code

https://docs.squeekchain.com/developers/api/

DESIGN: Create a beautiful isometric 16-bit pixel-art city inspired by SimCity, using Squeekchain Genesis colors. Animated hamster citizens, roads, trees, buildings, day/night lighting, smooth camera pan/zoom and mobile support. Prioritize quality over size.

THREE INTERACTIVE DISTRICTS:

  1. Residential: houses, eating, sleeping, neighbors and family interactions.
  2. Wheel Corporation: hamster workers running wheels, energy production, employee hierarchy and leaderboard.
  3. Downtown: cafes, shops, park, recreation and Squeek Live Studio.

Click any district to enter a detailed animated District View. Click buildings for activities and upgrades. Include Back to City navigation. Live Studio opens https://sepolia.squeekchain.com/ in a new tab. No empty or decorative-only areas.

LIVING HAMSTERS: Create 12–15 unique NPCs with names, ages, personalities, homes, moods, hunger, stamina and relationships. They autonomously wake up, commute, run wheels at work, eat, shop, socialize and sleep. Use real schedules, navigation and state machines, not repetitive animations. Citizens keep living without player input. Rain causes umbrellas or shelter; sunshine encourages outdoor activity.

WHEEL CORPORATION: Each working hamster produces fictional Wheel Energy (WE) through simulated wheel-running sessions. Track individual daily/lifetime WE, productivity, XP, skills and work history. Implement automatic career progression: Intern, Employee, Senior, Team Leader, Manager, Director and CEO. Promotions depend on performance and experience; leadership positions are limited. Managers improve team efficiency. Click a hamster to see profile, family, job, energy output and promotion progress. Include a functioning employee leaderboard.

CITY ECONOMY: Track Wheel Energy generation, storage and consumption. Spend WE on functional upgrades to housing, wheel efficiency and public facilities. Upgrades visibly change buildings, wellbeing and productivity. The town grows autonomously when resources and happiness allow. Prevent negative resources and unlimited population growth. WE is fictional, NOT SQK.

GOD MODE: Add Sun, Rain, Festival, Plant Trees, Pause and 1x/2x speed controls. Every action changes actual NPC behavior, mood or resources. The player influences society without directly controlling citizens.

REAL SQUEEKCHAIN API: Integrate https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/status and /v1/events using verified current schemas. Read RPM (rpmMilli/1000), wheel status, freshness, provenance and timestamps. Fresh verified real wheel activity provides capped bonus WE and visible city power surges. Record confirmed milestones in City Chronicle. Prevent duplicate rewards. Clearly label simulated, replayed, stale or unavailable data. Never invent live readings. The simulation must continue when the API is unavailable.

CONNECT WALLET: Implement real optional EVM wallet connection using EIP-1193/viem. Support MetaMask, Rabby and OKX-compatible wallets on Ethereum Sepolia (chain ID 11155111). Display address, disconnect and consent-based network switching. No payment, approval or signature required to play.

SAVE SYSTEM: Persist NPCs, careers, energy, upgrades and city progress in IndexedDB. Clearly disclose local-only saves; do not pretend they sync across devices.

DOMAIN: Project name SqueekCity. Prefer squeekcity.imd.site if available; otherwise use an assigned IMD URL. Support custom-domain setup if available. Never purchase domains.

DELIVERABLE: Deploy the actual playable website with source code and live URL. Test citizen routines, clickable districts, rain reactions, wheel production, career promotions, upgrades, real API integration, wallet, saves and Live Studio.

PRIORITY: Functional simulation, Wheel Office, Residential, Downtown and real Squeekchain integration FIRST. Simplify secondary visuals if needed. No fake buttons, placeholder interactions or fabricated data. Preserve IMD job attribution and report incomplete features honestly.

BUILD AND DEPLOY THE WORKING GAME NOW.

Saved five verified findings to .imd-findings.json. Application files are unchanged; every finding’s source citation was validated.

    • High — bug: Connecting a wallet at 390px pushes Disconnect beyond the viewport and hides energy/time. Let the connected header wrap and grow.
    • Medium — bug: After a successful reading, hanging polls leave expired data labelled “Live hardware” beyond 120 seconds. Recalculate freshness as time passes.
    • Medium — accessibility: Tab escapes the wallet dialog; Enter activates covered city navigation. Contain focus and make the background inert.
    • Medium — bug: The first mobile Zoom out increases zoom from 0.45 to 0.6. Use consistent lower bounds.
    • Low — bug: Upgrading Wheel Hall A, then selecting Battery Depot, carries the upgrade confirmation into the unchanged building. Reset panel state when selection changes.

    • highbug: connecting a wallet overflows the mobile header and hides city resourcessrc/styles.css:202

Now: The connected wallet is a single unwrappable header row. At 390 px its Disconnect button ends at x=415.75, outside the viewport, and the energy and clock flex area collapses completely.

Change to: Make the existing connected-wallet controls and header wrap at the mobile breakpoint, letting the header grow with its content and preserving visible energy, time, network and Disconnect controls. Reuse the existing type sizes.

Why: The brief requires mobile support and a visible connected address and Disconnect control; a successful optional connection must not break the game layout.

Chromium, viewport 390x844, fresh browser storage.

Inject an EIP-6963 test provider named MetaMask test provider, returning [0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111] from eth_requestAccounts and 0xaa36a7 from eth_chainId; open the app, click Connect, then that provider.

Only these two read/connection methods were requested.

Expected: the connected header fits 390 px with WE, time and Disconnect visible.

Actual: documentElement.clientWidth=390, scrollWidth=417, .wallet-on width=299.328125 and right=415.75; the screenshot cuts off Disconnect and removes both resource/time displays.

The default disconnected screen passes taste@1, so entering this state is necessary to reproduce.

    • mediumbug: an expired wheel reading stays labelled Live hardware while polls hangsrc/App.tsx:114

Now: Freshness is calculated only when a response arrives. Once one fresh reading succeeds, pending polls leave its Live hardware label and online freshness unchanged after its 120-second expiry.

Change to: Derive the displayed reading status from receivedAt and staleAfterSeconds on each UI refresh, across both header and Real wheel panel, and put a bounded timeout on status requests so failures reach Unavailable. Keep the last reading and its timestamps visible as stale.

Why: The brief requires stale and unavailable data to be clearly labelled and forbids presenting unverifiable activity as live.

      Chromium at 1440x900.

Set the browser clock to 2026-11-06T10:00:00Z.

Fulfil the first /v1/status request with schemaVersion=1 and measurement {freshness:"online",provenance:"hardware",coreStatus:"ACTIVE",rpmMilli:77005,receivedAt:"2026-11-06T10:00:00.000Z",observedAt:"2026-11-06T10:00:00.000Z",staleAfterSeconds:120,counterEpoch:"review-test-epoch"}; leave subsequent status requests pending.

Open Real wheel and advance the clock 121 seconds (tested with Playwright clock.fastForward(121000)).

Actual at 10:02:01.347: Live hardware, Fresh hardware reading: the real hamster is running, and online (stale after 120 s); Checked remains 10:00:00.

Expected: Stale or Unavailable once the reading is older than 120 seconds, regardless of whether another fetch completes.

This is a controlled response fixture, not a claim that the real wheel was active during review.

    • mediumaccessibility: Tab leaves the wallet dialog and activates the covered gamesrc/ui/WalletControl.tsx:33

Now: The wallet sheet declares aria-modal=true and focuses Close, but its keyboard handler only processes Escape. Tab moves to game controls behind the modal and Enter can change districts while the sheet remains open.

Change to: Keep Tab and Shift+Tab within the existing dialog controls while it is open, make the background inert, and preserve the existing Escape/return-focus behavior.

Why: A modal must contain keyboard focus so keyboard and assistive-technology users cannot unknowingly interact with the covered scene.

Chromium at 390x844 with no injected wallet.

Enter Downtown, open Connect, and inspect document.activeElement: it is the dialog Close button.

Press Tab once: activeElement becomes the underlying button ← Back to City and activeElement.closest("[role=dialog]") is null.

Press Enter: the selected panel tab changes from Downtown to City and Back to City disappears, while the Connect a wallet dialog is still open (dialog count=1).

Expected: Tab cycles within the sheet and covered game navigation cannot activate.

    • mediumbug: the first mobile Zoom out action zooms the city insrc/App.tsx:160

Now: City overview framing starts at zoom 0.45 on a phone, but every zoom action clamps to a minimum of 0.6. The first Zoom out therefore increases magnification by 33 percent, and further Zoom out clicks cannot restore the initial view.

Change to: Use the same lower zoom bound for cityCam and zoomBy (at most 0.45), so zooming out never increases the current zoom and can recover the initial overview.

Why: The brief requires smooth camera pan/zoom and mobile support; the minus control must reveal more of the city.

Chromium at 390x844, load or reload the saved city to the city overview.

Click the Zoom out (minus) button once, then again.

Measured camera ref on the App React fiber: initially {x:0,y:198,zoom:0.45}; after one click {x:0,y:198,zoom:0.6}; after a second click zoom stays 0.6.

The city visibly grows after the minus click.

Expected: the zoom value decreases or stays at the initial lower bound, never increases.

    • lowbug: a building success message carries over to the next buildingsrc/ui/Panels.tsx:135

Now: BuildingPanel keeps its message state when selection changes to another building. An upgrade confirmation for Wheel Hall A appears in the unchanged level-1 Battery Depot.

Change to: Key the existing BuildingPanel with key={selB.id} in App.tsx so its message state resets when the selected building changes.

Why: Action feedback must describe the current building and only what has actually happened.

Chromium at 1440x900, new city, enter Wheel Corporation and click Pause.

Open Wheel Hall A from the panel, then click Upgrade to level 2 · 900 WE.

Confirm the status message Upgraded to level 2.

Next click Battery Depot directly on the map (canvas position x=160,y=320 in this view).

Actual: panel heading Battery Depot and Level 1 of 4, with the unchanged status message Upgraded to level 2.

Expected: no success message on Battery Depot because it was not upgraded.

No reload or source modification is involved.

  4. Build websiteAgent #129918 files changed

All five findings reproduced on the previous export and are now fixed, but I could not confirm a live read from the Squeekchain API this round. The answers are in .imd-responses.json, and all changes are in the working tree for the IdentityMD worker to commit, as it did the previous commit.

    Findings

    FindingFixResult after the fix
High: connecting a wallet overflows the mobile headerThe header now wraps and grows; .stats got an auto flex basisAt 390 there is no overflow, and WE, time, Sepolia and Disconnect are all visible. Also passes at 8 other widths, on Sepolia and on a wrong network
Medium: expired reading stays labelled LiveExpiry is rechecked on every interface refresh; requests time out after 10 s; a failed request keeps the last readingAfter 121 s the header and panel both say Stale, with values and timestamps kept. A later success recovers it, and a first request that hangs reaches Unavailable
Medium: Tab escapes the wallet dialogThe dialog moved out of the game tree, which is inert while it's open, and Tab now wrapsTab stays in the dialog; Escape and Close return focus to Connect
Medium: Zoom out zooms inOne shared lower limit of 0.45Stays at 0.45 when zooming out
Low: success message carries over to the next buildingBuildingPanel is keyed by building idNo message on Battery Depot

The header fix needed two follow-ups my wider tests caught:

    • My first version still clipped stats at 360, 600, 761, 800 and 1024, which the finding hadn't covered.
    • The corrected version then wrapped the disconnected header on 430 px phones, so I moved the compact header breakpoint from 420 to 500.

    Checks on the final build

    • Build and typecheck: both pass.
    • Unit tests: 20/20.
    • Browser checks: 53/53 extended and 30/30 primary flows.
    • Design probe: 16/16.

    Still open

    • Live API not confirmed: api.squeekchain.com answered this machine with a Cloudflare challenge (403) on every request, whatever the origin, and I didn't try to bypass it. The game correctly showed Unavailable and kept running. Labels, expiry and the bonus were tested only on fixtures in the recorded schema. Squeekchain needs to confirm whether real visitors hit the same challenge; if they do, the game will show Unavailable rather than a live reading.
    • VALIDATION.md is marked incomplete for that reason; the rest of the scope is complete.
    • Four smaller interface gaps left open: this revision said to leave everything else alone, so these are recorded in VALIDATION.md, not fixed:
      • Panel tabs have no arrow-key support.
      • Focus is lost after connecting or disconnecting.
      • The canvas ignores reduced motion.
      • Some controls are smaller than the guide's target size.
    • Still untested: a real wallet, Safari, a physical phone and a screen reader.

    Other changes

    • DESIGN.md: it was missing from the tree although the acceptance criteria require it, so I wrote it.
    • VALIDATION.md: the README pointed to an artifacts/validation.md that was never committed, so this new file replaces that link, including the six-domain review.
    • Blocked script: imd-task-guard blocked one of my test scripts for looking up the home directory to find a browser. I removed the lookup and let Playwright use its own browser install. No other test tooling was blocked.

All five previous findings are fixed. No new reproducible defect was found in the reviewed states. .imd-findings.json contains {"findings":[]}. Application files were unchanged.

    Previous findingIndependent recheck
bug: connected wallet overflows mobile headerAt 390×844, scroll width is 390, wallet ends at x=382, and stats remain 269.58 px wide. Sepolia and wrong-network states also fit at nine widths.
bug: expired reading remains labelled LiveAt +121 seconds, header and panel show Stale, retaining RPM and timestamps. Hung requests time out; a subsequent fresh response restores Live.
accessibility: Tab escapes wallet dialogAt 390×844, Tab and Shift+Tab stay inside. Background is inert. Enter closes the sheet without leaving Downtown; Escape restores focus to Connect.
bug: Zoom out initially zooms inAt 390×844, measured zoom sequence is 0.45 → 0.45 → 0.45; Zoom in then reaches 0.54.
bug: upgrade message follows building selectionAt 1440×900, Hall A confirms its upgrade; selecting level-1 Battery Depot shows no inherited success message.
