Visual polish and finishing only, at the highest quality you can deliver. Wheelings is a finished, working dapp on Sepolia (index.html with all CSS and JS inline, favicon.svg, og.png, card.png, README.md; the contracts/, release/ and dev/ folders are documentation only: do not build or run anything in dev/). It already has a moonlit night design: an illustrated hero with a turning wooden hamster wheel, a wooden pet frame, icon stat tiles, a glowing "Cheer now" button, medal ranks on the board, and a grass footer with a sleeping hamster. Keep that art direction and palette (navy night #0d1222, lantern gold #ffc861, ember #ff7a59, moss #7bd389, sky #7cc7ff, cream #f1ead9; Fraunces + Figtree + JetBrains Mono) and take it to the level of an award-winning indie game launch page.

Before any visual work, apply exactly these six code fixes in index.html (they fix the three advisories from your site content check). Replace each old text with the new text, character for character, and change nothing else in the script:

a) in loadStatus(), replace:

const r = await fetch(API + '/v1/status', { cache: 'no-store' }); if (!r.ok) throw new Error('status');

S.status = await r.json(); S.lastStatusAt = Date.now();

with:

const ctl = new AbortController(); const to = setTimeout(() => ctl.abort(), 8000);

try { const r = await fetch(API + '/v1/status', { cache: 'no-store', signal: ctl.signal }); if (!r.ok) throw new Error('status');

S.status = await r.json(); S.lastStatusAt = Date.now(); } finally { clearTimeout(to); }

b) in boot(), replace:

try { await loadStatus(); } catch { S.statusErr++; } render();

try { S.deployed = await checkDeployed(); } catch { S.deployed = false; }

with:

loadStatus().then(() => { S.statusErr = 0; }, () => { S.statusErr++; }).finally(render); // never blocks startup

try { S.deployed = await checkDeployed(); } catch { S.deployed = false; }

S.checked = true;

c) in renderNow(), replace:

$('notDeployed').hidden = S.deployed;

with:

$('notDeployed').hidden = S.deployed || !S.checked;

d) in the S state object, replace:

art: new Map(),

with:

art: new Map(), artKey: new Map(), checked: false,

e) in loadBoard(), replace:

for (const p of all.slice(0, 10)) await loadArt(p.id, false);

with:

for (const p of all.slice(0, 10)) { const k = [p.xp, p.stage, p.mood, p.golden].join(':'); const grew = S.artKey.get(p.id) !== k; S.artKey.set(p.id, k); await loadArt(p.id, grew); }

f) in sendTx(), replace:

const hash = await Wal.prov.request({ method: 'eth_sendTransaction', params: [{ from: Wal.addr, to: WHEELINGS, data, value: '0x0', gas: '0x' + gas.toString(16) }] });

with:

let chainNow = null; try { chainNow = await Wal.prov.request({ method: 'eth_chainId' }); } catch {}

if (String(chainNow).toLowerCase() !== SEPOLIA) { toast('The wallet left Sepolia. Switch back to Sepolia and try again.'); return null; }

const hash = await Wal.prov.request({ method: 'eth_sendTransaction', params: [{ from: Wal.addr, to: WHEELINGS, data, value: '0x0', gas: '0x' + gas.toString(16), chainId: SEPOLIA }] });

Then the visual work:

  1. Hero: make the illustration richer and more detailed: softer volumetric moonlight, drifting clouds, more depth in the hills (trees, a small cottage with a warm window, fences), a more detailed and cuter hamster with fur shading, motion lines behind it while it runs, and a light parallax on mouse move (disabled on touch and with prefers-reduced-motion).
  2. Add a new static section "Stages" right after "The wheel right now": five illustrated cards in a row (wrapping on phones) for Egg (0 XP), Pup (first XP), Runner (5,000 XP, headband), Champion (20,000 XP, green cape), Legend (60,000 XP, crown), drawn in inline SVG in the same cute hamster style, with a small line under each. Below it a small legend of the three moods: Happy, Hungry (no cheer for a day), Sleepy (three days), and a note that Squeek NFT holders get a golden collar.
  3. Pet frame (#petArt): add carved wood details (nails, grain), a soft warm lantern glow behind it, and a celebratory burst of sparkles and tiny stars when the element gets the class "cheering". The pet image is an SVG served by the smart contract: show it exactly as-is.
  4. Polish every panel: consistent spacing rhythm, refined typography scale, subtle glass highlights, smooth hover and focus states, a gentle entrance animation when sections first appear (sections must stay visible even if animations are off), and a nicer toast (#toast) with an icon.
  5. Leaderboard (#board): keep the medals; add a faint podium glow behind the top row, nicer column alignment, and a tidy mobile layout (no clipped text; the table may scroll horizontally inside its own box).
  6. Replace og.png (1200x630) with a rich illustrated version of the hero scene with the title "Wheelings" (gold "ings") and the line "On-chain pets that grow on Squeektoshi's real wheel". Set og:image and twitter:image to the real https URL of /og.png on this site. Also update favicon.svg to a crisp hamster-in-wheel icon.

Check your work visually at 1280 px and 390 px wide before finishing, and refine anything that looks unbalanced, cramped, blurry or generic.

Deliver the finished site as a code repository.

Do not change (apart from the six fixes above):

  • any JavaScript logic, function, constant or string in the existing (WHEELINGS, DEPLOY_BLOCK, CORE, RPC URLs, API URL, selectors, ERRORS, localStorage keys, timers); a separate small script for the parallax and entrance animations is fine;
  • existing element ids, existing page text, or the order of the existing sections;
  • the pet SVG art (it comes from the contract). No frameworks, no build step, no external scripts. Fonts only from Google Fonts with fallbacks. Respect prefers-reduced-motion (turn animations off), keep readable contrast, no horizontal page scroll at 320 px wide, and skip drawing any image that has not loaded so nothing breaks.

Acceptance: GET / returns the page titled "Wheelings" with HTTP 200 (not a directory listing); /og.png and /card.png return 200 image/png; the browser console shows no errors; "The wheel right now" panel shows a round number and the board says "Wheelings adopted" after loading; wallet connect, Adopt and Cheer buttons still work.

Work

  1. Posted50 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #129722 files changedsent back

    Completed the six exact fixes and visual polish, including richer artwork, Stages, frame effects, and new sharing assets. The complete export is in dist/.

    • Checked at 1280, 390 and 320px.
    • 17 interaction checks passed with simulated wallets.
    • Design probe: 15/16; the remaining flag concerns the requested stage-card layout.
    • Submission: 3.22 MiB, below 8 MiB.

    DESIGN.md, README.md and VALIDATION.md document everything. Live signing and Safari remain untested; external reads used a temporary test relay.

    The two probe failures are not findings:

    • copy-budget read 64 words only because the probe had no network and showed the "Can't reach Sepolia" notice. With the network on, the notice is gone and I count about 58 words by hand, under the 60 bar. This text is locked by "Do not change... existing page text".
    • chrome flags a stage card inside a panel. The brief overrides this: "five illustrated cards in a row".

    Requirements

    1. Fix a, loadStatus timeout: met, the script diff against the previous commit matches character for character.
    2. Fix b, boot never blocks: met; with the API blocked, the board still loads.
    3. Fix c, notice waits for the check: met.
    4. Fix d, artKey and checked state: met.
    5. Fix e, art reloads when a pet grows: met.
    6. Fix f, chain guard in sendTx: met; a mock wallet moved off Sepolia gets the toast and nothing is sent.
    7. "richer and more detailed" hero (moonlight, clouds, trees, cottage, fences, fur shading, motion lines): met, .scene.
    8. "light parallax" off on touch and reduced motion: met, [data-depth], with an edge-strip finding.
    9. "Stages" after the wheel, five cards with lines: met, .stage-grid, with a gear finding.
    10. Moods legend and collar note: met, .mood-legend, .collar-note.
    11. "nails, grain": met, .petart::before.
    12. "soft warm lantern glow": met; pixels beside the frame are rgb(43,46,53) against rgb(21,29,48) at the panel's far corner.
    13. "burst of sparkles and tiny stars" on cheering: met, .petart.cheering::after.
    14. "show it exactly as-is": missing at frame sizes of about 220px and up; the nails sit on the pet image.
    15. Panel polish (spacing, type, glass, hover and focus): met, with a low gap finding.
    16. Entrance animation, sections stay visible: met, .entering; all sections at opacity 1 with motion off.
    17. "nicer toast" with an icon: met, .toast::before.
    18. Board medals and podium glow: met, using injected rows because the live board has 0 pets.
    19. "nicer column alignment": met, with a low # header finding.
    20. Tidy mobile table: met; it scrolls in .tablewrap, page width stays 320 and 390.
    21. og.png at 1200×630 with title and line: met, with a seam finding.
    22. og:image and twitter:image on the real URL: met; https://wheelings.imd.site/og.png answers 200.
    23. favicon.svg hamster in a wheel: met; holds up at 16px.
    24. Palette and fonts kept: met; all three families loaded.
    25. Script, ids, text and section order locked: met; the diff shows only the six fixes, with no ids or text lost.
    26. No frameworks or external scripts, reduced motion (0 animations), contrast, no scroll at 320, no-error console: met. The probe could not measure 104 text boxes over gradients.
    27. Wallet connect, Adopt and Cheer: met as far as possible without a wallet. Connect and Adopt ran against a mock wallet that rejects sends; Cheer rendered but was not clicked.
    28. Repository delivery: after review.
    29. GET / on the hosted site: after review; dist/ holds the page and it loads locally, with the title set in index.html.
    30. Hosted /og.png and /card.png as image/png: after review; the files are in dist/ and the new card is not published yet.
    31. Live URL serving the new version: after review.

    • highbug: Pause scene removes the cottage, pines, lantern, mushrooms and grass from the heroindex.html:65

      Now: when the box is ticked, transform:none!important hits every SVG element in the scene. In SVG the transform attribute is a presentation attribute, so CSS overrides it, and every and falls back to the origin.

      Change to: .hero:has(.scene-control input:checked) .scene *{animation-play-state:paused!important}. Delete transform:none!important. The decorative script's reset() already clears the parallax on change. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: brief item 1 asks for 'trees, a small cottage with a warm window, fences'. A control on the first screen should stop motion, not delete the art.

      1280 and 390.

      Load the page and tick Pause scene in the hero.

      Expected: the same picture, frozen.

      Actual: the cottage, every pine, the lantern, the mushrooms and the grass disappear; only the wheel, hamster, moon, hills and fence rails stay.

      Measured at 1280: getComputedStyle(document.querySelector('.scene g[transform]')).transform is 'none', and that group's bounding box starts at x=35 instead of near the cottage's translate(1010 237).

    • highfidelity: the frame's nails are painted on top of the contract's pet imageindex.html:93

      Now: the ::before overlay (z-index:1, 360-unit viewBox) puts its four nails at 17/343. On a 340px frame with a 12px border they land 16px from the outer edge, inside the picture area, so they cover its four corners. The cross-slot lines on the next path of the same overlay sit there too.

      Change to: nails at cx/cy 7 and 353, and the slot path changed to m5 5 4 4m342-4 4 4m-4 342 4 4m-350-4 4 4, so they stay on the wood at every frame size: 6.6px of 12 at 340px, 2.2px of 8 at 112px. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: brief item 3: 'The pet image is an SVG served by the smart contract: show it exactly as-is.'

      1280, no wallet needed.

      Load the page and look at the inner corners of #petArt: a nail sits inside the dark picture area at each corner, and the same happens over any placed there.

      Measured: frame 340px, overlay scale 340/360 = .944, nail centre 16.06px, radius 3.0px plus stroke, so it covers 12.4 to 19.7px from the outer edge while the border ends at 12px.

      Also seen with a test image injected into #petArt at 1280.

      At 100px on phones the nails stay on the wood.

    • mediumbug: on phones the empty frame goes portrait and its grain lines cross the egg and the captionindex.html:93

      Now: on phones the placeholder text forces .petart taller than wide, 112x134 at 390 and 88x173 at 320. The overlay SVG has a viewBox but no preserveAspectRatio, so 100% 100% draws it as a centred square. Its top and bottom grain lines land inside the picture area.

      Change to: add preserveAspectRatio='none' to the in this data URI so the wood overlay follows the box, as it does on square frames. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: brief item 3 asks for carved wood detail, and the brief says to refine anything 'unbalanced'. This frame is on the first phone screen, and it is what every visitor sees while the board is empty, as it is today.

      320, no wallet.

      Load the page and scroll to #petArt.

      Measured: box 88 x 172.75px.

      Two faint horizontal lines run across the egg and the 'Your Wheeling appears here.' caption about 42px and 130px down the frame, which is (172.75-88)/2 and that plus 88, the top and bottom of the centred square.

      At 390: box 112 x 134.4px, lines about 14px from the top and bottom.

    • mediumfidelity: the share card's illustration stops 84px down with a hard seam under a flat bandartwork/og.html:6

      Now: the scene is 546px tall on a 630px card, so the top 84px is flat #0d1222 and the moon's halo is cut off in a straight line. An orphan 1px .rule sits in that band at y=66.

      Change to: .scene{position:absolute;left:-420px;top:0;width:1733px;height:630px}, tuned so the wheel stays clear of the title, and delete the .rule element. Then re-render og.png with scripts/render-og.mjs and copy it to dist/og.png.

      Why: brief item 6: 'a rich illustrated version of the hero scene'. A link preview shows this seam at every size.

      1200x630 og.png, read directly.

      Pixel at x=1100: y=83 is rgb(13,18,34), y=84 is rgb(29,37,61).

      That one-row step runs across the right half of the card, and brightening the image shows it as a straight edge with the rule above it.

    • mediumfidelity: the Legend card wears the golden collar and the Champion and Legend cards lose the headbandindex.html:469

      Now: the Legend portrait draws a gold collar and pendant, the mark the note below reserves for Squeek holders. The Champion and Legend portraits also drop the Runner headband.

      Change to: on line 469 use the Champion's green tie from line 452 (stroke #70b584 with its diamond), and copy the headband paths from line 428 into the Champion and Legend portraits, keeping the green cape and the crown. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: the contract keeps gear, _gear() has 'if (stage >= 2)' for the headband and 'if (golden)' alone for the collar, so these cards show pets the contract never draws, right next to 'Squeek NFT holders get a golden collar.'

      Scroll to Stages.

      Legend shows a gold collar and pendant directly above the collar note.

      Champion and Legend show no headband. contracts/Wheelings.sol lines 559 to 565: the headband is drawn for stage >= 2 and the collar only when golden is true.

    • mediumbug: parallax lifts the hills off the edge and shows a pale strip along the hero's bottom and rightindex.html:248

      Now: the layers end exactly at the viewBox edge. With the pointer towards the top left, the front layer moves about 4 units left and 2.5 up, uncovering the sky rect, whose lowest stop is the pale #526078.

      Change to: viewBox="6 4 1088 392", which crops past the largest shift, so no layer edge can enter the frame. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: brief item 1 asks for 'a light parallax on mouse move'. It should not reveal the seams of the layers.

      1280, mouse.

      Move the pointer to about 40px from the hero's top-left corner and wait 1s.

      Layer transforms read translate(-3.71px, -1.99px) on the front layer.

      Screenshot at 2x: the last hero row is rgb(82,96,120) where the ground is rgb(16,31,42), and the right edge is rgb(71,86,114) where the hill is rgb(24,43,54).

      The strip is about 2 CSS px wide.

    • mediumtaste: the footer's hamster and ground are still the old flat art under the richer pageindex.html:503

      Now: the sleeping hamster is three flat ellipses with no outline, fur shading or whiskers, and the 'grass' is a flat #132042 blue ribbon with near-invisible #2b4a3a blades.

      Change to: reuse the hero's own art: fill the body, belly and ear with url(#furG), url(#creamG) and url(#earG), add the hero's #a67443 outline, and change the ribbon fill from #132042 to the hero's foreground hill #182b36 with blades in #426353. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: the brief asks to take the page 'to the level of an award-winning indie game launch page' and to refine anything 'generic'. This is the page's last image, and it no longer matches the hero or Stages hamsters.

      1280 and 390.

      Scroll to the bottom.

      The hamster is a smooth orange blob beside the shaded hamsters in Stages, on a saturated blue band that reads as water, not grass.

    • mediumtaste: on phones the Pause scene box covers the wheel's foot and the moon sits behind a chipindex.html:207

      Now: at 540px and below, the control is a tinted box over the bottom-right of the scene, hiding the wheel's foot and the mushrooms. The 'Sepolia testnet' chip also lands on the moon.

      Change to: delete this rule so the control keeps its 760px position, top:12px;right:16px, level with the eyebrow where the hero is empty, and change the hero's bottom padding from 166px to 190px on this line so the chips clear the moon. Connect wallet moves 24px down and stays on the first screen. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: this is the first image a phone visitor sees, and the brief says to refine anything that looks 'unbalanced, cramped, blurry or generic'.

      390x844 and 320x844.

      Load the page and look at the hero's bottom right: a dark box with 'Pause scene' covers the mushrooms and the right end of the wheel's base.

      At 390 the 'Sepolia testnet' chip overlaps the left half of the moon.

    • lowbug: the 'Heads up' notice butts against the hero with no gapindex.html:46

      Now: the column gap only separates sections inside main, and the hero sits outside it. The wallet row hides this with its own padding, but the notice has none.

      Change to: add .notice{margin-top:24px} next to the existing .notice rule, and 16px inside the 540px query to match .main-content's gap. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: brief item 4: 'consistent spacing rhythm'.

      Block ethereum-sepolia-rpc.publicnode.com and 1rpc.io and load the page.

      'Can't reach Sepolia right now; retrying.' appears.

      Measured: hero bottom 432px, notice top 432px, so the gap is 0 while every other panel gap is 24px.

    • lowfidelity: the rank column's '#' header does not line up with the numbers under itindex.html:174

      Now: rank cells are centred in their column while the th stays left aligned, so the header sits 10px left of the digits and the medals.

      Change to: add th:first-child{text-align:center} after this rule. Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: brief item 5: 'nicer column alignment'.

      1280, with at least one pet on the board (the live board has 0, so rows were injected into window.__wl.S.board in a test harness).

      Measured text boxes: '#' spans x=124 to 132, rank '1' spans x=134 to 142.

      Every other column's header and cells share an edge.

    • lowtaste: the five stage lines are mood lines that do not say what changesindex.html:435

      Now: 'A little possibility.', 'A first cheer. A new friend.', 'Finding a little rhythm.', 'Small paws. Big heart.', 'Every cheer brought you here.'

      Change to: Egg 'Waiting for its first scored run.' Pup 'Hatched by a first scored run.' Runner 'Earns its headband.' Champion 'Adds a green cape.' Legend 'Takes the crown.' Apply it in index.html and copy to dist/index.html, the export that gets hosted.

      Why: copy rule: a fact or a noun beats an adjective. The brief's own list gives each stage its change. These lines are new, so the 'existing page text' lock does not cover them.

      Read the line under each card in Stages.

      None names what the pet gains.

    • infobug: the round number falls back to a stale genesis and shows about 1,500 instead of 340index.html:742

      Now: until the contract's genesis is read, and for as long as Sepolia is unreachable, the panel computes the round from a hard-coded genesis that does not match the contract.

      Change to: nothing in this revision. The brief locks this script, so the requester decides whether to correct the constant or show the existing dash until the read lands.

      Why: each state should say only what the app knows. This predates the job and the brief forbids the edit, so it is reported for the requester, not for the builder.

      Block the Sepolia RPC hosts and load the page: 'Round 1,528'.

      With the hosts open, the same minutes read 'Round 340' once loaded, and the live value arrived about 0.9s after load, so the fallback figure is what the panel holds before that.

  4. Build websiteAgent #116815 files changed

    Fixed 11 findings, rebuilt dist/, and recorded all 12 verdicts in .imd-responses.json. The protected round fallback remains unchanged and documented.

  5. Design criticAgent #1416found nothing

    All ten findings from last round are fixed in the source, the exported copy in dist/ matches, and I found no new defects. .imd-findings.json holds {"findings":[]}.

    What I couldn't run this round: Bash would not start ("Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets"). The headless browser has no Chromium installed, and installing one needs Bash. So the taste@1 probe, the 1280/390/320 screenshots and the console check did not run. Everything below comes from reading index.html, dist/index.html and dist/og.png, plus last round's measurements.

    Last round's findings

    • Pause scene erased the hero art (high): fixed. index.html:65 now only pauses animation: .hero:has(.scene-control input:checked) .scene *{animation-play-state:paused!important}. The transform:none!important is gone. The reduced-motion rule at :242 resets only .parallax-layer, and those three <g> elements (:268, :278, :296) have no transform attribute, so they lose nothing.
    • Nails painted over the pet image (high): fixed. :93 puts the nails at 7/353 (r 3.2) with the new slot path. At a 340px frame the nail's inner edge reaches about 10.3px, inside the 12px wood. On phones the overlay is inset:-8px to match the 8px border (:208).
    • Portrait frame grain crossing the egg (medium): fixed. :93 has preserveAspectRatio='none'.
    • Share card seam (medium): fixed. Viewed dist/og.png: the art fills all 630px, the moon's glow is whole, and the 1px rule is gone.
    • Legend collar and missing headbands (medium): fixed. Champion :446 and Legend :463 draw the headband, and the Legend tie at :470 is the green #70b584 with no gold collar. This now matches the contract's gear rules.
    • Parallax showing a pale edge (medium): fixed. viewBox="6 4 1088 392" at :249.
    • Flat footer hamster (medium): fixed. :498–:510 use #182b36 ground, #426353 blades, the hero's furG/creamG/earG fills, the #a67443 outline and whiskers.
    • Pause box and moon chip on phones (medium): fixed. The ≤540px rule no longer moves the control, so it stays top-right from the 760px rule. Hero bottom padding is now 200px (:208).
    • Notice touching the hero (low): fixed. .notice{margin-top:24px} at :70, 16px at ≤540px.
    • # column misaligned (low): fixed. th:first-child{text-align:center} at :174.
    • Mood captions under the stages (low): fixed. :402–:470 now read "Waiting for its first scored run." through "Takes the crown."
    • Round number from a stale fallback genesis (info): dropped. The author is right: the brief locks the existing script, and I asked for no change. Only the requester can decide to correct the constant or show a dash until the chain read lands.

    Brief requirements

    • 2. Stages section, mood legend and golden collar note: met. :399–:478.
