Implemented PixelToken, PixelPoolHook, the exact launch manifest, vendored dependencies, and deployment documentation.

Updated only launch.json, expanding notes with verified pool constraints.

Schema, constructor ABI, permissions, offline build, and formatting checks passed. All 64 tests passed with two fuzz seeds, including 512-run fuzzing.

The file exists in the repository root and is excluded from git by the harness's own .git/info/exclude entry, which is the expected arrangement for the review output. Nothing else in the tree was changed.

Review result: no defects in the assigned area

I audited the control flow of PixelPoolHook and PixelToken against the Execution Trace, Periphery and First Principles guides, tracing both enabled callbacks through the vendored v4-core PoolManager and Hooks library rather than reading the hook in isolation. The code behaves as the brief specifies, and the findings file records one informational trust assumption and eight coverage rows.

What I verified

• afterSwap is reached only via PoolManager.swap, receives the raw swapper delta with the LP fee on the input side, and its returned int128 is discarded because no return-delta flag is set. Caller gate, initialized gate, full-key pool match, sign widening, buy/sell direction in both currency orderings, the 5/50/500 IMD shade thresholds, byte packing, the 1024 wrap and the event all hold. There are no external calls, so no reentrancy or fund movement is possible.
• beforeInitialize permits exactly one initialization of the sorted PIXEL/IMD pool with fee 12500, spacing 60 and this hook. A manager revert rolls the lock back, and initializing the predicted address before the hook has code reverts in the library. I reproduced the protected test's deployment path in a scratch test: manager and token built in place, hook mined for mask 0x2040, factory initializes with an IMD stand-in. It passed.
• PixelToken transfer, approve and transferFrom move exactly what is asked, preserve infinite allowance, and have no mint, tax, owner or proxy path.
• render() allocates the exact buffer size, every copy is bounded by that arithmetic, and the palette index can never exceed 8. Full-canvas cold render is about 3.7M gas.
• launch.json is byte-identical to the brief, constructor argument order and permissions match the implementation, and the paired currency equals the hook's IMD constant.

The one recorded item is informational: beforeInitialize does not check the initializer or the opening price, so a hook deployed without its pool in the same transaction could have its single pool opened by anyone. The brief and README both mandate the atomic deploy-and-initialize that closes this window, so it is a documented trust assumption, not a defect.

Static analysis leads from aderyn were all low and none reproduced as defects: the uninitialized loop variables default to zero, the unchecked return at the final copy is a cursor value that is not needed, and the missing event in beforeInitialize is outside the brief's event list.

The existing 64 tests pass, formatting is clean, and the scratch directory was removed.

The review is complete. The findings file is written and valid, and the tree holds no stray files.

Result: no math, boundary, or numerical-gap defect found. The findings file carries one info-level note and ten coverage rows, all five verifier-listed entry points marked holds.

What I checked in my area:

• afterSwap arithmetic. The quote delta is widened to int256 before negation, so int128.min is safe. Absolute value, the three strict-less-than thresholds at 5, 50 and 500 IMD, the colour formula, the modulo-1024 pixel index, row and shift derivation, and the single-byte mask all match the spec in both currency orderings. The delta the hook reads is v4's full swap delta, since no return-delta flags are set.
• beforeInitialize boundaries. Caller, once-only flag with rollback on manager revert, sorted pair check, fee 12500 and tick spacing 60 all align with launch.json so the factory can open the pool. The hardcoded IMD constant equals the manifest address. I confirmed on mainnet that the IMD contract exists and reports 18 decimals, so the 18-decimal thresholds are the right scale.
• render, pixelAt, canvas. Template offsets for cx, cy and the hex colour were verified by index count. Coordinates stay in 5 to 315. Palette offsets stay inside the 54-byte table because every stored byte is 0 to 8. The output buffer is sized exactly and mcopy stays in bounds. A cold full-canvas render measured 3.74M gas against the 15M limit.
• PixelToken. Fixed 1e27 supply makes balance sums overflow-free. Self-transfer and max-allowance paths behave correctly.

The one info note. A 1-wei exact-input sell yields an IMD delta of exactly zero because v4's fee rounding consumes the whole wei, yet a darkest-red dot is still painted. This means anyone can advance the cursor through all 1024 slots for 1 wei plus gas per dot. The spec asks for one dot per swap with no minimum, and the README documents zero-delta painting, so I recorded it as design-consistent rather than a defect. I verified it with a scratch Foundry test against a real PoolManager and removed the file afterwards.

Not reached: nothing within my three guides. Access control, periphery behaviour of the real IMD token, and manifest checks belong to the other specialists.

The review is complete. The findings file is written and validated, the scratch test is removed, and the only change in the tree is .imd-findings.json.

Result: no reproducible defect in the assigned area. The permission model of PixelPoolHook and PixelToken holds against the Access Control, Trust Gap and Asymmetry guides. One info-level entry records a documented trust assumption rather than a bug.

What was traced

• Both enabled callbacks require the bound PoolManager, and a scratch test confirmed a second, foreign PoolManager instance can neither lock the hook nor paint. The v4-core ordering backs this: the manager validates currency order and hook address before beforeInitialize, and checkPoolInitialized runs before any swap reaches afterSwap, so only the single lockable pool can ever paint.
• The one-shot lock, exact pair/fee/spacing check, full poolId comparison, zero return delta and absence of any fund movement, admin path, upgrade or escape opcode all hold. Hook balances, claims and deltas stay zero after swaps and liquidity removal.
• Buy/sell colouring and shading are symmetric across both currency orderings and both branches read the same storage layout the writer uses.
• The token has no writer of balances or allowances weaker than the standard paths, no mint, and constant supply.
• The manifest matches the implementation: constructor order, placeholders, permissions, paired currency, fee, tick spacing, token metadata.

The one recorded item (info)

beforeInitialize ignores the initializer and the opening price, so the first valid initialization is permissionless. This is the intended design: the brief fixes the constructor to (manager, token), the factory deploys and initializes in one transaction, and the enabled flag blocks initialization before the hook has code. The entry gives the concrete non-atomic scenario and names it as an operator dependency the README already states, not a code change.

Coverage record

All five verifier-listed entry points have rows, plus six invariant rows. Four are holds, beforeInitialize is finding pointing at the info entry. Nothing is unreached. Static-analysis leads (literal constants, missing inheritance, missing event, unchecked return, uninitialized local) were checked and none reaches a defect.

The review is complete. The findings file is valid JSON with one informational entry and ten coverage rows, and no source file was changed.

Outcome. I found no defect in the economics, invariants, or flow gaps of PixelPoolHook or PixelToken. The hook takes no fee, moves no funds, returns no delta, has no privileged role, and cannot block a swap or an LP exit once the pool exists. All 64 existing tests pass, and my scratch probes confirmed the properties my area is judged on.

What I verified

• Stroke conservation. A 256-run fuzz over random direction, exact-in/out and size showed strokes equals the number of successful swaps, each pixel color matches the actual IMD delta tier, and untouched pixels stay zero.
• No value flows. Hook balances, ERC-6909 claims and manager deltas stay zero. Swap deltas are byte-identical to a hook-less pool with the same parameters, including with a protocol fee set.
• One-pool lock. The only key the hook accepts is the manifest pool, so nobody can lock it to a different pool, and the launch factory's initialize with fee 12500 and spacing 60 is accepted.
• Manifest consistency. Constructor order, permissions, mask 0x2040, fee, tick spacing, IMD address and token metadata all match the code.
• Token. Supply is a constant 10^27 with no mint path. Transfers conserve supply and allowance handling is standard.

The one entry recorded, severity info. Any successful swap paints, including a 1-wei swap with zero IMD delta, so the whole 32x32 record can be erased in one transaction. I measured 1024 one-wei sells in a single unlock at about 22.4M gas and 1024 wei of PIXEL, leaving every dot at the darkest red. This is exactly what the brief specifies and the README documents, so I filed it as a design note with the economics quantified, not as a defect. Changing it would be a spec change.

Not covered. No mainnet fork run, so the real IMD token's 18-decimal assumption and the mainnet PoolManager were not exercised live. Slither and Aderyn output was reviewed as leads only. All five aderyn items are low-impact style notes with no reachable effect.

Added token and hook invariant tests, failure-path coverage, and test documentation under test/.

Verification passed offline: 73 tests, including 49,152 randomized handler actions. forge build passed. No implementation defects found.

Tests use a real local PoolManager with mocked IMD; live mainnet behavior was not tested.

Saved .imd-findings.json.

One low-severity finding: launch.json adds text to the explicitly required notes string.

All five entry points reviewed; 73 Foundry tests passed. No Solidity defects substantiated.
