Second research pass on the Swarm Mining Farm economy. Start from the previous accepted report and simulation of IMD job b9e37680-814c-4f17-b4bc-68272b77304d (https://api.imd.fun/jobs/b9e37680-814c-4f17-b4bc-68272b77304d/result): keep its parameter table, contract spec and model, and extend them. Game name: BLACKOUT. Chain: Robinhood Chain. Deliver an updated, implementation-ready spec and re-run the 35-day simulation (hype, steady, weak) with everything below added.

NEW MECHANICS TO DESIGN, PRICE AND SIMULATE

  1. Progressive sell tax in the v4 hook. Buys pay the base fee only. Sells pay a dynamic fee that rises with sell pressure: e.g. net sell volume over the last 1h and 24h versus buys, and price below the 30-min TWAP. Base 1-2%, hard cap 15% (never more, so the token is never a honeypot). Define the exact formula, update interval and how it decays back. Route the tax: burn, reward pool, team, heartbeat; propose the split.
  2. Reinvest incentive. Claiming mining rewards to the wallet pays a withdrawal tax (start around 20%) that is redistributed pro-rata by hashrate to players who stay; optionally it decays with time since the reward was earned (e.g. 20% on day 0 down to 5% after 7 days). Spending rewards in game (packs, upgrades, repairs, electricity, lobbying) pays 0% and may get a small bonus (e.g. +5%). Model how this changes the player sell share and the stall day.
  3. Referrals: each inviter earns 5% of the mining rewards of every player they referred, one level only, paid on top from the reward pool, set once on the player's first action, no self-referral. Include the extra emission.
  4. Free starter pack for IMD NFT holders: one per tokenId, within 14 days, guaranteed Rare, no Legendary. The IMD NFT collection is on Ethereum, the game on Robinhood Chain: use a merkle snapshot at a fixed block. Assume a realistic claim rate and include the cost.
  5. Swarm grid role (keep the previous event design, add): lobbying, where players pay ETH for their district, the ETH buys and burns the token, and more lobby lowers that district's blackout odds without a guarantee (define the curve and caps); a daily electricity tariff set by the swarm inside bounds (e.g. +/-10% per day); a weekly inspection bonus for the most efficient farm. Keep the rule that the swarm picks event types and the future block hash picks districts.
  6. Beta safety: for the first 48 hours after launch, per-wallet and global pack caps that lift automatically by time, with no admin action.

TEAM REVENUE

The team must earn well but within reason: target team income of roughly 12-20% of all player ETH inflow (packs, lobbying, hook fees, sell tax), never more than 20%, and ETH only (no team tokens). Report team ETH per scenario and per week, and make sure the team take does not move the steady stall day before day 28.

LIQUIDITY AND LAUNCH

The previous report found launch liquidity depth and player sell share are the most sensitive inputs. Run the sensitivity again with the new mechanics for virtual ETH reserves of 3, 5, 10 and 20 ETH and sell shares of 50%, 65% and 90%, and recommend the IMD launch settings that work best on Robinhood Chain.

DELIVERABLES

  • Updated parameter table with reasons, including every new mechanic.
  • Updated simulation code and per-scenario tables: active farms, pack ETH, burns, supply, price, reward pool, runway, payback by join week, stall day, team ETH, heartbeat ETH, sell tax collected, withdrawal tax redistributed.
  • Comparison versus the previous report: what each new mechanic changed.
  • Updated failure modes and the parameters the heartbeat may adjust, with bounds and max step per epoch.
  • Updated contract spec sized for one IMD launch prompt.
  • Updated honest risk note for players.

    I've written the updated BLACKOUT spec and re-run the 35-day simulation with all six new mechanics. The report is artifacts/report-v2.md and the full output is artifacts/simulation_output_v2.md; both are left untracked for upload. The new simulation is sim/blackout_sim_v2.py; the v1 one is unchanged. Both pass their checks. The v2 check confirms that with every new mechanic switched off it reproduces v1 day by day. It also checks four targets:

    • steady does not stall before day 28;
    • steady packs bought up to day 28 pay back within 60 days;
    • team income stays at 12–20% of player ETH;
    • the sell fee never exceeds 15%.

    Unless noted, figures below are from the default runs at the same 10 ETH starting liquidity as v1.

    Main results

    • Steady still meets the target. It stalls on day 34 (v1: day 33), and average payback by join week is 27.9, 30.6, 33.8 and 36.5 days.
    • Weak still stalls on day 3. No mechanic fixes missing demand.
    • Team revenue is about 15% of all player ETH, in ETH only. Over 35 days that is 21.5 ETH in hype, 13.8 ETH in steady and 2.7 ETH in weak. No single revenue stream gives the team more than 20%, so the total can't exceed 20%. At the 20% maximum, steady stalls on day 32, still after day 28.
    • Hype now stalls on day 4. This comes from a fact the previous report didn't have:
      • IMD's docs say every launch gives 10% of the token supply to the swarm, outside the game.
      • If swarm members sell half of it in the first two weeks (my assumption), hype stalls on day 4. If they sell nothing, it stalls on day 31.
      • The game can't control this, so the player risk note now says so.

    What each new mechanic changed

    • Daily electricity tariff set by the swarm (±10% per day): the strongest new lever. On its own it moves the hype stall from day 13 to day 32.
    • Withdrawal tax with free in-game spending: players sell about 52% of rewards instead of 65%, and the steady day-35 price is 23% higher. But reinvested rewards become hash that dilutes later players. I limited reward-paid packs to one per wallet per day because of this.
    • Free NFT starter packs: the costliest mechanic. Opened on day 1 at full output they pulled the hype stall from day 13 to day 4. I moved the claim window to start at hour 48, and starter items mine at 50% until the holder opens a paid pack. With that, hype stalls on day 7.
    • Progressive sell tax: almost no effect on daily figures; it works as an intraday brake. In a 5-minute stress test a 5 ETH dump pays 10.9–12.6%. That test caught a hole: as first written, a single-block dump paid only the 1% base fee. The fee is now computed after the swap, which closes it.
    • Referrals add about 2% to emission. Lobbying, the inspection bonus and the beta caps have small economic effects; the caps only queue buyers in the first 15 hours of hype.

    Launch recommendation for Robinhood Chain: pair with ETH and put all of the requester's 90% of supply in the pool, so there are no team tokens. Open at a market cap of about 5.6 ETH, inside IMD's live allowed range of 1–1,000 ETH. At 65% sell share this gives no steady stall within 35 days and a hype stall on day 7. A 3.3 ETH cap holds up better if players sell 90%. Starting liquidity of 10 or 20 ETH is worse, and no setting survives a 90% sell share in every scenario.

    Limits

    • Player behaviour is assumed throughout: sell share, response to taxes, claim timing, NFT claim rate (35%), lobbying spend, trading volume and swarm selling.
    • The hype stall day swings by 10 or more days on small changes, so read it as a range.
    • Nobody has independently reviewed the report.

    Questions for you:

    • Does IMD allow a custom hook to add this sell fee on top of its fixed 1.25% fee? The docs don't say.
    • Do you want an opening cap of 5.6 or 3.3 ETH?
    • Which Ethereum snapshot block should the NFT merkle list use, and what is the Identity MD contract address?
    • What are the team and treasury wallet addresses? They are left as
