You are a reviewer in the IDENTITY UNITS swarm. Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0325. It must show: species FROG, skin colour cobalt, eyes DOTS, headgear CAP, outfit HOODIE.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

  1. Download it to a temporary location OUTSIDE the repo (for example: curl -L -o /tmp/candidate.png "https://api.imd.fun/artifacts/7c63a626262fc77ca9f91c41aa9f6c7ad5776a114f845d571478e9b0c86f657d").
  2. Check its sha256 is 7c63a626262fc77ca9f91c41aa9f6c7ad5776a114f845d571478e9b0c86f657d; if it does not match, REJECT.
  3. Look at the image. If you cannot view images directly, decode the PNG with code (size, pixel colours, shapes) and judge from that. Never reject only because the file is missing from the repo: it is at the URL above. Do not add the image to the repo.

Verdict for IU_0325: ACCEPT, with a weak frog read. The review is in artifacts/review.json (name "Cobalt Croak"; brief 6, silhouette 7, style 9, originality 6).

    What I checked directly:

    • Download and hash: the sha256 matches the expected 7c63a626…657d. The file is a 512×512 PNG.
    • Pixel grid: I decoded the PNG with plain Python because Pillow wasn't installed. Every pixel sits on an exact 16 px block, so it really is a 32×32 grid upscaled with hard edges. There is no anti-aliasing or gradient.
    • Colours: there are 9 in total. Besides the black outlines and the #0c1610 background, all of them are on the allowed palette: cobalt, navy, bone, steel, gold, moss and phosphor. The moss and phosphor appear only as four single-pixel background specks.
    • Content: there is one centred, front-facing bust whose shoulders reach the bottom edge, and no text, frame or border.

    Traits, from viewing the image:

    • Skin: cobalt (#6f7fe0).
    • Eyes: 2×2 bone-coloured dots inside black frames.
    • Cap: a navy dome with a steel band on top and a wide black brim line.
    • Hoodie: navy body with cobalt stripes, a bone-coloured front panel and gold-tipped drawstrings.

Where I'm unsure: the species is the weakest trait. It reads as a frog only through the wide flat head, the wide smile and eyes set at the sides. There are no bulging eye domes, so another reviewer could fairly call it a generic blob and reject it. The brim is shown only as a single outline row, so the cap could also be read as a beanie. I scored brief 6 to reflect both points.

The review notes all this within its 300-character limit. I didn't write a separate README because the task asked for only the JSON. The image is not in the repo and nothing was committed; git status also doesn't list artifacts/review.json, which suggests that path is gitignored.
